The staff were super friendly and very attentive however the wings were tasteless and fried too hard and the garlic lime sauce was watery and did not stick to the wings. The gumbo was subpar. I was excited about visiting however the food was very disappointing.

This place is decked out and is true to its theme. They have banners everywhere to give a sort of Mardi Gras/NOLA feel--truly not a bad place in Wrigley and deviates a lot from what you're used to seeing in the area. We went on a cold Wednesday night though and it was absolutely dead, we were the only customers inside. Perhaps this place is more crowded during weekend nights but the lack of people did make us wonder if this place was worth the hype. Food-wise it's very passable and it'll feel your need for Cajun food. Food: Nola Gumbo: they give you a house made hot sauce to go with the gumbo, the overall dish was nice and hearty but I feel like it could've been a bit more flavorful Alligator Basket: this was the true mvp of the night. It was my first time trying alligator and the way they fry it is so good. I would say it tastes a lot like a super tender steak--highly recommend!

Ordered delivery. The wings are good but the sauce is sooooo watery, and they don't even include a free ranch you have to pay for it. Didn't even include ketchup even though I asked for it and it's the least that could be include with a $9 fry. Then the gumbo was the WORST gumbo I've ever had in my life. I'm a southern girl who has had a lot of gumbo, including plenty from NOLA and Louisiana. Like it's disgustingly bad they are selling it and passing it off as gumbo.

I love the theme, how can you not have a good time here at this NOLA themed bar? You feel like you've stepped out of Chicago and straight onto Bourbon Street! The hurricanes were delicious and the bartender was attentive and fun! It was such. Fun vibe, although I didn't get to try the food the menu was traditional Cajun offerings including alligator!

Quite frankly never would have thought to eat here, but I came with friends and am so glad to know about this spot now! We came for March Madness, and it was super easy to get a table for 4 to watch the games immediately. The place was overall pretty quiet, and the bar tender was helpful and attentive. We started with drinks but eventually got hungry so we tried some food too! I was happy with the beer and cider collection - All of the basics, plus fun options specific to New Orleans. The food variety impressed me too! We loved the parmesan garlic tater tots, and the queso and Cajun chicken po'boy that we tried did the trick. The food wasn't life changing but the menu and atmosphere intrigued me enough to come back and try more in the future!

Absolutely check this place out when in Wrigleyville if you're looking for something unique. Good food and great service! I especially liked the NOLA gumbo and add a little of their house made hot sauce which really brings all the flavors out. Drinks were well made and service prompt. Not a lot of places in the area where you can get a true N'awlins oyster and shrimp Po Boy either! 5 stars, I'll be back.

Pretty good spot. Typical wrigleyville things - parking, longer traffic during games, rowdy crowds on the street, etc. it's spacious and has multiple TVs scattered throughout for the game. I got the hurricane which came with a cute beaded necklace around it. Security guard is present for safety.

Late post but came here for Mardi Gras they had a live band it was cool I'm only giving it a three stars was that it took 2 hours to get my food then they brought our food twice. The food overall was good.

Stopped in here before a Cubs game. The place is small and is obviously set up as a bar first, Kitchen 2nd. There is no air-conditioning, which was a major deal on a 93 degree day!! We ordered the alligator bites and the "Gumbolya" (combo of Gumbo and Jambalaya). Both were good, if not exceptional. The Cajun spice seemed to be mostly black pepper which was a disappointment, Portion sizes were good. We came at 4pm before a 7:05 weekday game start, so I can not estimate how busy they would be closer to game time. Overall, worth a trip if you are in the area!!

Came by for dinner after rock climbing during a weekday. I ordered the Fried Shrimp Po' Boy, which was loaded up with fried shrimp. I liked the remoulade sauce and the cut of their fries. The service was super friendly. The food my friends ordered all looked amazing, so I'll definitely be back when I want a taste of cajun country. I've never had fried alligator, but it's on the menu and I'm intrigued.

Arrived on a rainy wet day, early afternoon. noting an array of bar sitters having a midday drink. We grabbed the two seat round table near the exposed brick wall and ordered a personal creole competition crawl , as we continue to seek the best restaurant serving this iconic dish, commonly know as. "Louisiana Creole Style Gumbo,"; Nola's was on the Seeker's List and we are here! We are ordering alligator bites with delicious fries too. A tall modelesque friendly, and attentive waiter almost instantly, served up a piping hot bowl of the homemade gumbo house special. It was full bodied essential spices, and loaded with plenty of vegetables swimming in a Louisiana creole style broth, along with traditional meats and seafood infusing complex flavors. The Gumbo did not disappoint for heartiness and nutrients flavor pounding taste drums. We both loved our first exploration into alligator bites. It has a mild meaty lightness with an interesting contexture, not too unlike the fiber of poultry. Nola's has a celebratory atmosphere, a Mardi Gras ambiance, and a winning bowl of gumbo, good service, while located just around the corner from the ballpark, Nola's is a great iconic place to raise high spirits, as it hits it out of the park for great food and circuses!

Shrimp po boy, fish po boy & truffle fries. Read a review that raved about the po boy and didn't have time to read more reviews so I went with it. To everyone that said it's the best po boy they've ever had, you must not have had a po boy from NOLA. This was pretty mediocre as a po boy. Thank you for an excellent meal. Everything was very tasty and authentic. I'm from Louisiana originally, so really appreciate their making items like "home"/home cooked. Got gumbo, oyster po boy, etouffee, and beignets...all best in the city. Avocado fries...good idea. Person that served me was very friendly. Thanks, again, and will order again, and again. Very awesome bar/food stop off of Clark street. Going to as many cubs games as I do, I'm more disappointed in myself for not going in sooner. Stopping in for an early dinner, the group of us were seated right away. The bartender was our server and was incredibly nice and helpful. Our eyes were all bigger then our stomachs as we ALL ordered a side of their different assortments of fries and a variety of tacos. Everything was excellent-- highly suggest getting the Jamaican jerk fries and at least one of every taco. Good for a hangout drinking spot or to grab a full dinner!! read more

We stopped in here to watch football and had an above and beyond great experience! The staff truly went the extra mile to ensure we could watch both of the games we were interested in. The food was delicious, fresh, and came out quickly. We even got a bonus dish from the kitchen! This place looks less crowded than the surrounding bars on football weekends, but don't let that deter you. It's a great spot for some food, beer, and game watching while staying safe and socially distanced during covid. 10/10 read more

Server was very nice, very friendly. In the mood for burgers and trying a new place. Yelp reviews looked decent. It was not crowded, so staff was just outside door smoking (apparently the entire pack), which means we enjoyed his cigarettes too (not). Ordered the chicken strips, burgers, and nachos. Chicken strips were completely over cooked, as were the burgers. Fries were ok, just not crispy. Nachos (app) came out a few minutes after the burgers, and so we didn't have them, they looked pretty sad. Guac was good, but chips were too greasy to really enjoy. With a couple of drinks bill was $110. Don't know if the team was tired after an afternoon game rush or what, but as we were one of only a few tables, should've been far better. Not that hard to figure out that apps come first, how to cook burgers and chicken strips. Not "gastropub" fare. read more

I'm 100% seriously when I say I'm giving this 5 stars because of Sunny. She was super cool and awesome. We had great conversation with her and she was fun to talk to. However the male bartender was a total ass. He was so rude to our group to the point where we were about to leave the chips and guac are made right there and then. I personally enjoyed them but my boyfriend didn't but I did really love the atmosphere of this bar and would love to come back for an entree read more

I don't know what I expected after leaving in the deep South for 4 years and choosing an $8 Jambalaya off the menu. I should've known what I was getting into before my disappointment when my fellow diners saw my meal and said "that looks straight out of the can". Probably worth the price though I guess. Nice people, good service though. My friends shrimp tasted good. Cool NOLA decorations, shame there were no LSU fans there for the game. read more

Good wings and tacos and a friendly bartender. I came on a non game day after doing the stadium tour so it was empty besides some guys on their lunch break. Tried the bulgogi taco and the pork taco with the bali wings. Everything tasted great despite the kitchen being a tad slow. Wings are a tad pricey for what you get, but at least the sauce is delicious. read more

This place is amazing! Stopped in when my hubby and I were visiting wrigleyville with a friend and we were looking for a chill place to have a drink and some food. We were instantly greeted by the server/bartender who was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. To drink, we had a few daisy cutters (my fav pale ale in Chicago). To snack, we got the wings and guac. The wings were probably the best wings I've ever had. Crunchy outside, with lots of sauce, and tender meat inside. We got the hot siracha, it was amazing! The chef makes all the sauces from scratch. The menu is amazing and they have dollar tacos on mondays! This place is unique in this location and you should definitely check it out! read more

A little taste of Southern heaven! I'm from the Southeast and used to visit New Orleans regularly; I've missed it since I moved north ~20 years ago. We passed NOLA the other day and thought it looked cute, decided to give it a try -- wow, are we glad we did! I'm unfortunately gluten-free now, so I called to see if they could accommodate me. Because everything is made in-house they said they could, but they'd have to alter the recipes a bit. So I was expecting the usual "altered recipe" food; bland, feeling like it's missing key ingredients... What we received was spectacular! If they can do this for a gluten-free adaptation, I'm dying to see what it tastes like as intended! Since our tacos were made-to-order I can't review the menu items, but the shrimp was the freshest I've had since leaving the gulf area, the sauteed onions were sweet and juicy, and the jambalaya tasted like it was straight from NOLA! The blackened whitefish was flaky and fresh, and whatever sauces they used were excellent. In addition, they took great care with my meal, talking me through all menu options that fit my dietary restrictions, and our deliver came with a note saying that all packages are tightly sealed and sanitized with alcohol. Their attention to detail with both food and safety is unparalleled. I'm excited we found this gem of a restaurant; we'll definitely be back soon! read more

Every time I go to Nola I am pleasantly surprised. The food is way better than most in this area, and the draft beer selection is always getting better. The bartenders are always super friendly and helpful, and make great recommendations. Also, they're now a white sox bar The tacos are kickass, so are the quesadillas and the po'boys. I have yet to get the gator bites, but I will report back with my thoughts when I do. read more

I love cajun food. It's simple, but very hard to do right. This was my first time ordering from NoLa Kitchen. I ordered through their website, trying to support the business,rather than ordering through a 3rd party delivery ap. The delivery fee was steep- $6.99, but I was tired and placed the order anyway. Once I did, I received a text from Doordash confirming the delivery. The Big Easy Gumbo was a tiny cup(see photo) and mostly rice with a few tiny popcorn shrimp and small pieces of chicken. There was supposed to be sausage in it as well,but I didn't see any. The gumbo was $8.00, which for the size is ridiculous. I assumed for $8.00 it would be a regular size bowl. It was ok, I took a few bites before throwing it out. I also got the Bourbon Whiskey BBQ wings. The sauce was overly sweet with not much other taste/flavor. 2 bites was all I took. The entire meal ended up in the trash. With tip and the Doordash delivery charge I wasted $37.00. If I'd ordered through Uber Eats at least I would've saved on delivery. UE would have charged $3.75 in fees for the same order, and I'm not even a UE member. read more

Well I needed a day to write this review because it would have been profanity laced for sure. So I ordered delivery through Grubhub last night and my meal was garbage. Let's take it item by item. I ordered tacos, inedible. They tasted funky, the tortilla was hard, and it didn't come with my side of coleslaw. The bulgogi quesadilla. Was way over cooked, didn't have the kimchi and the meat was hard as a piece of carpet. The wings, over cooked, over sauced, and I didn't get my ranch. Chili - didn't even get this, no call no nothing about them not having it, I found out via email this morning from Grubhub. The PoBoy was inedible chicken that was drenched in sauce. The fries, I don't even know how to describe them, I would of been better off eating sticks of wood. Beignets. They were suppose to be powered sugar, it was regular. Didn't get my preserves, and the oil content was so high, I squeezed the beignet and oil came out. I've had some real bad meals in my day, in some crazy ass places around the world.... this $50 meal just took my top spot. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!!! Do yourself a favor, pick any hospital in the Chicago area, and eat dinner in their cafeteria, it would be ten times better then this!!! read more

My bf and i went there on a Saturday night..... first thing that was off was that the place was dead, which is weird for a spot in Wrigleyville @10 p.m. Music was annoyingly loud as if it were a club (that was just our outlook on the music, we weren't feeling the"club scene" that day) we get offered water while we look over the menu, ok cool. Glasses of water come and BAM!!!!! My boyfriend's glass was disgusting. The rim had some sort of dry cheese texture on it..... needless to say we walked out, couldn't really trust what was going on behind the kitchen. ‍ can't do that again. read more

My roommate and I came here on Thursday for the 1/2 price wine and we decided to get some wings after we bought a bottle of Riesling. The wings were definitely homemade and tasted delicious! She sat us down, brought 1 menu ( we were 2) and said she'd be back with the other ( and we are still waiting ) her phone was more important so she never gave us a second menu. The waitress talked like she didn't have a voice ( SO hard to even understand what she was saying) Food overall was good ( nothing to die for) Ceviches were delicious at least. Ambience good although when we got there there was only 1 more table, but I guess it gets better when it gets busier. Overall a good place, but there are other great Peruvian places in the city to try before coming back here

Ordered takeout from here today and it was amazing. Taste, quality and freshness was absolutely exceptional and blew me away. I can be really picky at times as a customer with my food choices but they were really understanding and easy to work with. Everything was done to top notch quality. I got the honey garlic and lime tenders, avocado fries and beignets. Portions were more than enough to have seconds as well. With the pandemic still in full swing this is a fantastic option for takeout, truly felt like it was real restaurant experience from home. 10/10 check them out!!! read more

Me and some friends went here last Saturday for a night out. The atmosphere inside is really chill and relaxing, I noticed that the layout was made to bring people together and let them socialize better, which was cool. The drinks were good too, but the prices were a little too much - they were 5-star caliber, and honestly this locale (while great in its own right) isn't that exclusive. read more

I was there for the pulled pork tacos and the drinks. Both were absolutely terrific. The bartender was friendly but not overly solicitous and the waitstaff was very helpful. What a great idea to have a wine bar in that neighborhood....i'll be back for the wine...I tried and loved their cocktail specials!! I'm bringing friends next time- it's a great place to hang out. read more

They have one of the best customer services I ever saw everybody have a smile on their faces and singing to every song. And let's talk about the food it was delicious I mean, omg the jerk and Sriracha wings yasss... Also, karaoke was super fun( great vibes & great people). read more

I had a blast. The wings were awesome, the fries were outstanding and the staff was stupendous. It's a great restaurant and bar in the best place possible. I'm going back for more. More wings, more drinks and especially more fun. Go Nola and Go Cubs! read more

Came here for the cubs/brewers game, some bald shady bartender with glasses double charged me for my tab and my buddies tab . He was an overall asshole in general. Pick any other bar on this road , you will regret giving this garbage dump business read more
