My husband and I used to really like this place, and it had been a while so we decided to come back. We should've known if it was dead on a Saturday at noon. My house salad consisted of half rotten lettuce- it was gross. The rolls seemed microwaved as they were rubbery. My meal left a lot to be desired- the chicken was paper thin and overcooked- it was hard to cut it with a knife. The flavor was very much lacking, as my husband said his was, too. This is not how it used to be, which is super disappointing. My first visit, with seven other friends. As I write this, I'm relishing my leftovers of Capellini Bolognese for breakfast. I woke up craving it! Everyone ordered a wide variety of dishes off the menu and they all seemed to really enjoy them, no complaints heard. Thanks to my Dad's influence, nothing can top a large, hot plate of spaghetti covered with fresh-made meat sauce. I didn't see that on the menu, but the waitress easily offered me that combination, using my preferred angel hair pasta; Capellini Bolognese. It did not disappoint. It was a very large portion, served on a hot china plate. The sauce; obviously homemade with tomatoey freshness, subtly spiced, and with a perfect ratio of ground beef to sauce. PERFECTION! Happy happy happy! After feasting on two incredible, flaky and browned twisty bread rolls dipped in olive oil, garlic, and spices, I was only able to finish 1/4 of my pasta dish. Thus, plenty now left for breakfast and dinner tonight! Our waitress happily and patiently ran to tend to our many whims, genuinely smiling all through the evening. She earned generous tips. The manager stopped by to check on us, and plates were cleared in a timely manner. I do like the interior decor, traditional Italian with pretty artwork and comfy, sturdy chairs. It was a little loud on a busy Friday night, but not excessively, it only added to the congenial atmosphere. The patio also looked inviting as I walked by, but I don't happen to dwell above 75 degrees. Now my favorite Italian restaurant... definitely the place to take my visitors and guests in the future. Greek salad was very good, garlic knots were not that good, My chicken piccata the chicken was very tuff and over cooked, the chicken Florentine was better but still sauce was too thick. My wife enjoyed the Pasta Combo; with FIVE(5) different types of pasta in one dish! The sausage was a bit spicier than she prefers, but that is to be expected in Italian food. We shared a Canoli dessert dish which was just as delightful as our other courses. I was too bloated for coffee. Super-quick service, with coordinated assistance from every staffer - from the host to the busboys. This place runs like a well-oiled machine. One less star for couple reasons- The pizza Wanted to give the pizza a try out of sheer curiosity - the Noli pizza fell short for me and I'm just particular about pizza - I can tell when a pizza is rushed and cooked in a metal pizza oven - pepperoni should be cooked until crisp and the crust ought to be cooked from center to crust - center was a bit soggy and droopy when you pull slices away from the pan. All right so this place is one of my favorite Italian food places I have given the place a few good five star reviews because it's always been consistent and so flavorful. So to my dismay, going in to dine, I right away, noticed that even the oil that comes with the amazing bread that they offer it lacked flavor and garlic. I thought it was a one off, but then I got my plate of pasta besides the fact that it had a small portion of pasta, which I understand we are in hard times it seems like they also held back on flavor. It tasted just straight up Parmesan sauce with no spices no salt. It was just weird. I asked the server to give me a side of garlic so I could just put it in my pasta and it did not remedy the lack of flavor, the sauce and chicken needed salt. I was taken a back. I'm hoping it was just a weird day or a different chef. My server was lovely. They were busy at one point. I got there once the whole rush had gone. Who knew you had to venture to New Braunfels for great Italian food? Noli's Vite has excellent cuisine. It starts with the warm and soft garlic bread..wow! The bruschetta with the grilled artichokes and veggies is divine. I had the Tortellini Michelangelo which was exceptional, bordering on hideously rich. My dining companions had the chicken Marsala, pizza, and puttanesca. All wonderful. The dinner salad was a bit weak. This is not the most spacious restaurant, and even the tables are small and cramped. Service was very good, especially by the hostess. My major problwith Italian menus in general is veal. Noli's Vite is no exception: lots of veal. I just can't bring myself to enjoy a dish that was made from slaughtering a 3-month-old baby calf. They say slaughterhouse workers have a hard time working that job for long. It's no wonder. read more

I ordered takeout from this location. First the caprese salad was made differently from anywhere else. There were Kalamata olives in it. It added a twist to the salad but it still tasted okay. I also ordered the chi a damabianca. The chicken was a little dry and the pasta was alright. If I come back in the future, I'd dine In instead of ordering takeout.
