scallion pancake and chicken soup dumplings
    Najiha M.

I was really excited to try this place since I heard it was from NYC, so I'll be straight up- it didn't fully live up to the hype for me. The biggest thing is the price. For what you actually get, it felt expensive, and that's hard to get past when the food doesn't blow you away. The duck baos were the highlight! those I genuinely enjoyed and would order again. But the scallion pancakes and the chicken soup dumplings just didn't do it for me. Nothing wrong with them exactly, they were just kind of... fine? I felt like the scallion pancakes were from the freezer and they just heated it up. Not special, not memorable, not worth going out of your way for. I wanted to love it, and there's a decent meal here if you order right. But for the price point, I expected more of a wow factor and didn't quite get it. Plus, the service was pretty slow.

A great spot for some amazing dimsum that really knows its strengths! That turnip cake is a must on every table, literally the most amazing turnip cake I have had. The hardest part is trying not to order so much but there really is no wrong choice here! That duck bao bun is amazing! The staff is also so cool and helpful and just overall fun that it made the entire dining experience even better! The space is a bit small, smaller than I thought it would be, probably because it is in a sort of dining hall so it felt like being sequestered in the corner.

This is the whole place. Maybe 12 seats. But you will talk to the people next to you.

Nikki and I went there for lunch today. It's been at least eight months since I've been there. We were early for lunch wasn't very crowded. But I think the dumplings this time was even better than the last two times I was there. The menu hasn't gotten any larger than it was since they opened, but everything I've tried has been excellent. Shrimp dumplings, and the shrimp. You might actually have small but whole shrimp in it as opposed to just ground up shrimp. Plenty of sauces to mix and make your own. We enjoy sitting at the counter service was great and everyone's very friendly.

I agree that portions were small for the money but I don't visit all these restaurants for their portions as I do for the elusive service , excitement and very importantly the taste and texture. The one concerning choice for me was the shrimp toast as I'd never heard of it let alone taste one. The dumplings were delicious. The Peking duck was great, the shu mai was tasty and the shrimp toast was amazing and delicious. Above all I saw men and women really trying to make their customers feel happy and welcome. As a local I've tried pretty much most of the Chinese restaurants in the area and Henderson. This was truly a good experience and will most definitely come back. I'm not a gambler but a lot of these smaller restaurants have the best you can find at casinos.

Last minute stayed at the JW last weekend and needed to grab dinner. Nom Wah had one open table left and we grabbed it. Our server was Dee and she was OUTSTANDING! We ordered a noodle dish (chicken lo mein), an egg fried rice dish, pan fried pork dumplings, pork & shrimp siu mai and thanks to a coupon from the front desk a complimentary order of spring rolls. Everything was cooked to order, fresh and HOT! We loved it and will absolutely return.

My husband and I were at the Rampart Casino and while walking by we decided to take a look at the menu. Nothing really appealed to us except for the Peking duck Baos which was 2 for $14. Intrigued, my husband decided to order it. It was absolutely delicious! Moist, rich, and packed with flavor! The bao itself was soft and pillowy, and had a generous amount of tender duck. There was also cucumber which gave it a nice, refreshing crunch and balanced everything out nicely. The bao was a little greasy, but in the best possible way which added to the indulgent, melt-in-your-mouth experience. Every bite was satisfying. This review is only for the Peking duck bao, I cannot speak on the rest of the food. It's a bit out of the way to drive, but if we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stop by for some baos!

Happened to come in to check out the food hall and saw this place was fully seated so had to check it out. I've heard of Nom Wah of NY so was pretty excited for it. Located i the Resort at Summerlin, aka the old JW Marriot next to the Suncoast Casino. Parking is free and even has a parking garage, perfect for getting out of the triple digit LV heat. The menu is fairly basic and straight forward. I ordered an order of the shrimp dumplings, pork xlb and the veggie lo mein. The food was pretty good, the xlb wasn't as amazing as I would've expected but the shrimp dumplings were excellent. The xlb just didnt feel very hot so the juices didnt really pop and the top of the xlb was a bit dry. The filling is delicious though. The shrimp dumplings were nicely chewy and springy and fairly large and my favorite dish today was the lomein. Lots of veggie (mushroom, onion, carrots, and bean sprouts) and saucy and delicious. Noodles were well cooked as well. Id like to come back to try their scallion pancakes and their peking duck bao and wonton noodles next time. But the service was very slow, we waited a lot to get seated as there were a lot of uncleaned but now empty tables. And food took a bit of time to come out. And the tea served was just a teabag ( you do have selection of oolong, jasmine, red dragon) but the nozzle of the pot was so dirty. And instead of small cups , we got large coffee mugs. But overall the food was decent, the bar seating was nice , facing the open kitchen, seemed good for a quick bite and the menu was reasonable, given the crazy rising prices these days. The server and chefs were very nice and attentive as well,

Born and raised NYC girl so when I heard that the classic 105 year old first and oldest NY dim sum staple was opening a location right in Summerlin, I couldn't contain my excitement and eagerness to try it and I was not disappointed! Nom Wah has perfected approachable dim sum. Signature dumplings, creative buns, and Cantonese American classics are favorites. The restaurant features stand-alone tables and 12-seat counter-style seating with red barstools that evokes an old-school tea parlor, creating an intimate and nostalgic atmosphere that feels like a time capsule from Manhattan's Chinatown honoring their NYC roots. The servers and chefs were welcoming, service was expedient and everything was delicious. My absolute favorites were the Peking duck bao buns! Tender, shredded duck tucked into a soft bao. It might have been one of the most flavorful bites I've ever had. And my second favorite was the pork and shrimp siu mai which was served with an in the house-made dumpling sauce--a little salty, a little tangy, a little spicy, all perfectly umami. While the menu isn't extensive, the options and price points are spot on! I can't wait to visit again and try some of their other dishes!!

Yelp Review 2025 #244: A famous Chinese eatery from New York's Chinatown, Nom Wah opened a small space inside Rampart Casino. They only have 12 bar stools by the bar, and 2 tables for 2 people. A friend has been wanting to try Nom Wah so we went. Each spot by the bar has power outlets. Phone signal here is terrible so, connect to the Wi-Fi...or talk to each other I'm guessing due to their limited space, their menu is also limited. Only about a quarter of the New York menu made it to the Vegas menu. There are so many things that are good on the New York menu that surprisingly didn't make it to this location. But it saves you time and money traveling all the way to New York. Maybe, if they had a bigger space things would be different. Our server was friendly. The food came out quick. They got their mise en place making food prep and cooking much easier and faster. In turn, there's less wait for diners. The chefs would also chat with diners. Xiao Long Bao: Hot soup dumplings. Always a good idea. 5/5 Turnip Cake: Not the biggest fan of turnip cake. But my friend likes this. I want dim sum items that are meatier but that's a personal preference so I won't even rate this. Peking Duck Bao: Each bun is packed with lots of duck pieces. The sauce is nutty and creamy - not the usual hoisin or duck sauce. I wish the duck skin was crispier though. It has cucumber slices. Instead of green onions, they use cilantro. 4/5 Chicken Lo Mein: I haven't had lo Mein in years because it doesn't excite me but it doesn't give me comfort either. It's just there existing in every Chinese restaurant menu. You can choose whatever protein you want. We picked chicken. The chicken is breaded like a chicken katsu. 3/5 Pork and Shrimp Shumai: One of the most popular items at Nom Wah. It's a classic! 4/5 Scallion Pancake: Their version is thicker. But still tasty. 4/5 Tea: Hot tea options include oolong, jasmine green tea, and pu-erh. We got a pot of oolong, and a pot of jasmine. Super hot tea and tasted right - not the cheap kind. 5/5 Enjoy this place while it's still here.

Shrimp Sui Mai... not huge by any means, but they are what they are.

Friends were visiting and had seen news about Nom Wah's opening online, so we made the trek up to the newly renamed Resort at Summerlin to give it a try. It had been a number of years since we had been there but the area where Nom Wah and a number of their other new restaurant concepts (Ai Pazzi, Pearls) is located is a tall ceiling, marble floor area that was a nice change from the cluttered feel in the casino. As many have noted, seating at the bar is very limited, although they have added 3 two-person tables in the area. We had 3 people and were not able to sit on the bar stools (although there was plenty of space when we went midweek during the day), so they helped us to sit at a few tables across the way that anyone eating at these restaurants can use.. but still provided table service. I must say that the service here is excellent and very attentive. I think the miss here for me is the limited menu. I think if I wasn't thinking I was going for dim sum, I would maybe have felt differently. And that's my suggestion to you, think about it as getting some chinese and asian-inspired food and you won't be wondering why they don't have char sui bao or cheung fun. We only had a few dishes as we were going to other places later, but the ones we had were fine, but nothing spectacular. The shrimp sui mai were maybe just a bit too salty, but otherwise were what you would expect. We also went to the turnip cake which is a fave of mine. Their twist is adding a layer of shoestring cut taro on the top and pan frying that to a crisp. While the turnip cake itself was nice, especially as you could make out pieces of the lo bok (daikon), the taro didn't bring a lot of flavor to the party. I think I was wanting more pan fry on the turnip cake part of it. We also tried the crispy chicken buns, which felt like a chicken katsu with a miso cream sauce on a fluffy steamed bao. Were all the components prepared properly.. yes.. did they make me want more.. not really. Maybe we should have gotten some of the pan fried dumplings or the har gow, but that wasn't what we felt. Oh and for those less adventurous in your group... they have fried rice or lo mein. For me, I'll stick with the places with chicken feet and potentially not as good service!

Small spot with about 10 chairs or so. Bar style seating. Jessica was my server and she was absolutely nice. Food: Pork Soup Dumplings aka XLB $9 Pork & Shrimp Siu Mai - $9.50 The soup dumpling was served first. I was excited. It was steaming hot. I gently grabbed the dumpling but it was stuck to the paper. Errr the soup was all over. OK, so next one the wrap was very thin on the bottom. Third one broke amd the last one was fine. The soup lacked with the two that didn't stayed in tacked. It needed more flavor to me . I was disappointed and ai wasn't about to ask for them to remake it since I was on lunch. Next the siu mai is smaller than other spots I frequent. It was good and I asked for hot mustard so that it would have a little more flavor in it. I'll return again. Next time ill try the noodle soup.

I was thrilled to see that they had a restaurant here, especially given its renowned sibling in New York, and I couldn't wait to indulge in some delicious dim sum. Located in a vibrant area, it's an ideal spot. We grabbed seats at the counter right when they opened, and the experience didn't disappoint. The cooks worked swiftly and kept everything spotless, serving up impressive dishes. The waitress was warm, energetic, and truly made our visit lively and enjoyable. Every dish that arrived at our counter was outstanding, even if it came at a premium. Nonetheless, it was absolutely worth the experience, and I have no regrets.

Based on the carefully crafted Dim Sum style menu, quality ingredients, delightful taste, healthier cooking practices, appropriate small portion size, and cleanliness of the restaurant, I gladly give this Nom Wah location 4.5 stars. Combined with the welcoming, professionally polite, and customer-centric service I received from Bhebl, Adolf, Grace, and Louis, I enthusiastically give a 5-star review. This café style restaurant may not be as large as other Dim Sum restaurants, but more importantly their delightful taste and healthier cooking practices (much less oil) far exceeds most other Dim Sum restaurants in in the Summerlin and Spring Mountain areas. I especially enjoyed the duck buns, vegetables, fried rice, and desserts. Great for carry-out and delivery too!

Prices of the dim sum vary from $5.98 and up. We chose a handful of dim sum and one Shrimp & Pork Wonton Egg Noodles. Overall, dim sum was decent. A few of them could have been better in preparation, flavor, and taste. Wonton noodles were tasty. *Bean Sauce Chicken Feet - skin was on the tougher side, could have been more tender, sauce was too thick, flavor was okay *Crispy Taro Pancake - top layer was crispy, but taro fell apart when picked up by chopsticks *Egg Tarts - light and flaky crust with soft, smooth & jiggly egg custard filling, amazingly good, definitely would get again, wished it came with 3 instead of 2, they are bigger than normal egg tarts, but still *Fried Pork Ball - just okay, nothing special *Golden Sand Lava - huge baked bun with lots of oozing sandy egg yolk, must get! *Shrimp Dumpling - full of shrimps in thin skin, tasty filling, good size, worth the price! *Shrimp & Pork Chives Dumpling - more chives than shrimp and pork, flavor was mediocre *Shrimp & Pork Shumai - surprisingly flavorful, but wished there was more shrimp than pork Glad we got a chance to try this place. I would return to try their other dim sum and lunch specials in future LV visits. Worth stopping by if you haven'ty already.

Pork and Shrimp Siu Mai (5/5): The absolute highlight of the meal and easily one of the best versions of this classic dish available. The order comes with four enormous pieces that taste incredibly fresh, with every single bite packed to the brim with juicy, distinct chunks of real shrimp and pork. Bean Curd Skin Roll (5/5): Another standout favorite of the visit. The dish includes three large rolls cut cleanly in half, packed with incredibly juicy meat filling. It's especially delicious when you ladle the savory sauce from the bottom of the plate over each bite. Cream Egg Yolk Bun (5/5): A dessert that tastes like a cross between an egg tart and a sweet pineapple bun. The sweet egg yolk cream center is warm and exceptionally gooey, so you'll want to take your first bite carefully to prevent the runny filling from splattering. Salt and Pepper Squid (4/5): A very clean, airy, and crispy appetizer that shows zero signs of being fried in old kitchen oil. While the batter leans a bit light on the expected salt and savory seasoning, the abundance of thinly sliced fresh jalapeno peppers added a spicy kick. Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf (4/5): A very solid, comforting option with excellent overall flavor throughout the rice, though the savory meat filling hidden inside the center felt a little sparse. Beef Tripe with Ginger and Scallion (4/5): A dim sum staple featuring an incredibly delicious, gingery sauce and great savory flavor. Beef Congee (4/5): We ordered the medium-sized bowl, which easily yielded at least 4 smaller bowls of congee, making it a perfect shared carb to round out the meal. It had a comforting consistency with a subtle note of ginger, though it personally sits just below a traditional preserved egg and pork style for me. Logistics Tip: Arriving around noon on the weekend means encountering a packed house, but the staff moves the crowd efficiently and gets tables turned over in short order. You place your order by marking your selections directly onto a paper slip, and the kitchen sends items out to your table as soon as they're ready, meaning dishes will arrive in a random, staggered flow throughout your dining experience.

This isn't the frozen-and-steamed shortcut situation you'll find at so many spots around town. These are handmade, skillfully executed classics that carry the weight of real tradition behind them. The har gow wrappers had that perfect translucent delicacy -- thin enough to see through, sturdy enough to hold. The siu mai were plump and properly seasoned. The char siu bao, both baked and steamed, hit every note I was hoping for. Cart after cart brought something worth ordering, and nothing disappointed. But beyond the food, what struck me about Dim Sumlicious was the atmosphere of care. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable -- a rarity in a city where restaurants can feel like they're processing customers on a conveyor belt. If you're a dim sum devotee who's been settling for "pretty good," your search is over. Dim Sumlicious is the real deal -- no asterisks, no caveats. Make a reservation, bring the whole family, and go hungry. Las Vegas finally has its yum cha moment. Don't sleep on it.
