We came to Naples due to Hurricane Matthew hitting the Atlantic side. Exhausted and hungry, the concierge at our hotel had this place as a suggestion so we stopped in for dinner. The restaurant wasn't too busy, but exceptionally clean. Bonus. We ordered: Banh Beo, the dough was great but the shrimp on top lacked authenticity (also, we found a piece of tin metal on our plate from scrubber that cleans the pot). I ordered Pho Dat Biet, very very good. Literally one of the best bowls of pho that I've ever had in my life and I grew up eating pho in our home. My fiancé ordered Bun Bo Hue, this lacked flavoring. The color was there but very bland. Would come back for pho. Everything else, no thanks. PS: save your self the extra few bucks. Worst service I have ever had. Waitress Renee came to our table asked us for our order before we answered she said hold on and walked away. Started helping other tables completely ignored us until we had to waive her over. Her response "looks like you were not ready so I left" we said no we went to speak and you said hold on and left. Than I asked for a foam cup for my 3 year old when I said sweet tea for him and please put it in a foam cup. Took her 5 asks and while I'm waiting with my child whose ready to spill it she's talking with the other waitress than for my friend at the table to go up to the stand and ask again her response "oh you wanted it for real?" Umm ok..... than two meals were not even touched (small portions) sons friend passed away this week so I asked if we can take it off since we didn't touch it he replied no I cooked u eat it. I even tried to change it so I can take what I would eat home and he said no u ate all of it while food was still on the plate! I'm like no I did not and he said I will take your money and make profit off of it and throw your plate away I said just put it in a to go container I will take it even though I won't eat it but since I'm forced to pay for it $17 later, I will take it home. He then proceeded to get into my face and say I will make that money off of you. I said, thank you for letting me have a great Mother's Day. You are the rudest person. I have met, not understanding and then started saying you people think you're gonna use me since you didn't like your food. I even told him I loved my food. I was just asking for one plate to be taken off of the bill since it was not eaten even though there was two that were not eaten. He said don't worry don't come back here. I don't need your kind! We are from Northern VA where the most authentic Vietnamese restaurants abound. Our usual Vietnamese restaurant was closed today so we decided to try Noodle Saigon. We ordered our usual barbecued chicken noodle "salad," and when we got it home and mixed it together, there was nothing Vietnamese about it. It had none of the traditional fish sauce/lemongrass flavor, the noodles were not the usual rice vermicelli but more like regular pasta noodles, white meat chicken that had no flavor at all, and iceberg lettuce that seemed to have been hastily cut up, not shredded like most restaurants. Finding good, authentic Asian food in Bonita Springs is tough and this place is average Vietnamese at best when comparing my experiences. Service was good and quick, but it was also pretty empty. Came for lunch and got a pork vermicelli bowl. For $13, I was expecting a lot more, not just in quantity, but better ingredients. Not much meat or noodles and no cilantro at all. The mint was nice, so I guess that substitutes for cilantro? I thought it was weird that the peanuts were whole and the lettuce was barely cut iceberg, maybe I'm used to crushed peanuts and finely sliced lettuce which makes it easier to get a little bit in each bite. Get the Pho! Noodle Saigon is the only Vietnamese food place in all of Naples, and luckily it's worth the drive north to get it! I loved my experience! I hadn't had pho in a very long time (more than 6 months actually) and hadn't had it since I moved to Naples. Boy did I miss my pho! Noodle Saigon does it right with a warm beef broth that cooks for 18 hours to pack in as much flavor as possible... from the wonderful accouterments of fresh bean sprouts, jalapeños, limes, and herbs... to the savory aromatherapy that comes with a steaming bowl of beef or chicken pho... it's my idea of heaven on earth! We had the vegetarian bun bo hue and special pho (beef, tendon, and meat balls, unfortunately no tripe). Although a bit pricer than most other Pho places we've been, the soup bases were good. Impressed! VERY good, auth soup stock! AMAZING "salt & pepper pink shrimp" is highly recommended. Summer rolls are fresh and beautifully rolled with tasty veggie. The Korean waitress is sweet and attentive. The restaurant is super bald, plain,curt and dim like an old university cafeteria. (it is clean) I usually appreciate and enjoy beautiful ambiance which is also one of the good dining elements for me. Well--- yesterday we ate at PF Chang whose food was barely eatable but ambiance is unique and fun for dinner. Tonight Noodle Saigon's food was amazing but ambiance is not one I am excited about....which I would go back? Without thinking, I would go back to Noodle Saigon! I dined here for lunch with a girlfriend because we were craving some soup, and had a strange curiosity on how to pronounce Pho as we were bickering about it earlier. For clarification, it's pronounced "ph-ah" like someone from Boston "pahked the cah fah away". Regardless, we were greeted promptly by a friendly waitress and seated immediately. We didn't get the Pho, but opted for the chicken broth vegetable soup, which turned out superb. I usually add siracha and a bit of soy sauce to my Asian soups, but I could still taste the flavor of the fresh veggies and chicken broth. I will definitely return for my Asian soup fix! read more

I've been going to this pho hotspot for a few years now and I have no complaints what so ever with the owner or the cooks who make the most amazing pho ever and have such amazing passion in what they do and and share with other people who come to experience this hidden gem. However, when ordering takeout that is other than pho, I am unsatisfied and disappointed in the portion sizes of certain menu items, in particular the fried rice. I came in today to enjoy the owners pho and I had to do a quick takeout of the Beef Fried Rice and paid $17.12 to receive such small portion of it. When I observe it, it couldn't feed 1 person, not even two. I hate to leave this review but unfortunately I am very displeased about it. Comes served with bean sprouts, basil leaves, & lime. The beef broth which is the key element had good flavor. Is it outstanding? I am quite impressed with the quality of food here. No judgement, but usually restaurants close to or in retirement communities tend to have bland food that really lacks in spice. Noodle Saigon proves otherwise. My sister requested a spicy beef dish ( can't remember the name of the dish) but when she said "extra spicy, Indonesia spicy" they really delivered. It was an instant sinusitis cure. My son's Pho was suitably hot and the broth was rich with flavor. All the egg rolls were very tasty, especially the summer rolls. They were fresh and crunchy and I highly recommend them. The bang sel was a tasty but could have used a little less oil. The only dish that did not meet the mark was the rare beef salad. It was not rare like it should be. If I am back on the west coast of Florida I will return. read more

No silverware or place-mats on the table, no problem. No ethnic music, no problem. (Is that Led Zepellin I hear?) Clean table?...so what. Just wipe it down and give me the menu. The pho has decent flavor. But the condiments are rotten. The bean sprouts are old and partially dissolved. The jalapenos are also rotten. It's amazing their workers, which are mostly family, didn't notice the substandard quality of what they bring out to people. This has happened on multiple occasions, I complain each time to no avail. This place is too expensive for what they offer. I came from California and they have the most expensive rent out there so there is no excuse for the prices they are charging here. When I would often go in a California vietnamese restaurant it was a lot cheaper than this. I ordered the Pho with rare beef, tendons and meatballs and I was really trying to find meat in my bowl. I have been a patron of Noodle Saigon for 12 years and have seen its ups and downs. Food has been consistently good - we usually have the pho, but also the bun, grilled protein and rice dishes, summer rolls, and beef salad dish. The only meal I have not fully enjoyed (but still finished) was a curry lunch dish but probably because I didn't personally like the curry flavor they use. Others seem to love it! Where this restaurant suffers is really more a reflection of Naples' non-existent foodie scene. Some days are really slow and others there's not an empty table to be found. As a business owner, it's tough to find reliable servers who understandably need to earn somewhat predictable income. Also difficult to find servers knowledgeable of Vietnamese cuisine to help patrons w questions. Atmosphere and decor is a little strange - it must have been a Mediterranean restaurant previously because there are columns and a paint palette indicating so but this hasn't been altered in over a decade. I found the most opportune time to have some pho. I caught a cold and had been recovering before I was yearning for a nice feel good brothy concoction. Vietnamese pho was screaming my name. I have had pho at a few rare places around town that serve it, but I truly, truly enjoyed this place and the choices for soup. I had to keep it traditional by having the beef special pho which contained rare beef, meatballs, and tendon. All proteins were enhanced by the full-bodied broth and the fresh sprouts and other accompaniments. Hands down, this is a must try...even if you are not sick! Prior to our pho, we enjoyed two types of summer rolls. A shrimp and chicken and shrimp and pork. The two were served with different sauces and both were so incredibly fresh, light, but substantial! Even though I had an inhibited sense of smell, I could taste all components. I probably would have given Noodle Saigon 5 stars if it weren't for the service we received. We must have come at a time where the two person-staffed restaurant could not handle the workload. It took some time even for our drinks to come out, and we were almost on the verge of walking out, as other tables that came after us had already received drinks and placed their orders. Not great for a first experience, but consideration is given because other people were experiencing the same pain that we were going through. In short, don't expect this place to be like a typical conveyor belt buffet where your drinks are always filled and your plates are always cleared. Also note that the wait staff was still very friendly. Try to look past the service and stay a while. Enjoy every slurp of your pho and every crunch of a bean sprout. Great place. Have been here many times and tried something different on each visit; everything has been delicious. This includes the fresh (non-fried) spring rolls with grilled pork, the spicy noodle soup with rare beef, and the grilled chicken or shrimp with brown rice & fried shallots. Perhaps my favorite thing to eat here doesn't even cost a dime: it's the crispy shrimp chips each table receives when you sit down. I can't get enough of those things. My wife grew up in Thailand and used to eat these (and make them!) all the time, and she loves the ones here as well. Much nicer decor than the typical hole-in-the-wall Asian diner, although the theme isn't exactly Vietnamese. They have a nicely arranged menu with pictures of each item to help you figure out what's what. I often see illustrated menus when we dine out in Thailand, but it seems rare here in the U.S. -- I find it a useful feature. Overall, I highly recommend Noodle Saigon. read more
