I'm a sucker for Noodle World and unashamed! I've been going here since HS which is an embarrassingly long time now and it is always solid. If you're looking for gourmet, you're in the wrong place. But if you want affordable variety of noodle options when you can't decide what kind you want - this is it! Parking is usually pretty easy as they have an open connected lot but can get busy on weekends during prime dinner rush so wait can be around 20-30 minutes if you plan to dine in. My go-tos are usually the Spicy Spaghetti (now Sriachagetti), Pad See Ew, Pineapple Fried Rice, and Seafood Chow Mein with crispy noodles. It's always very good and the portions are pretty big that I end up making 2 meals out of one dish usually. read more

Jack of all trades, master of none. Can't describe this place any better than that. I'm pretty wary of restaurants that offer WAY too much on their menu, especially from a huge range of different cuisines and types of food. However, this place was open later on a Sunday, so we decided to stop by. It was pretty busy when we arrived and got even BUSIER as we were getting ready to leave (around 8 PM). All food except for the soups are served in plastic to go trays, pretty convenient since all they have to do is give you the lid and you're already good to go. All utensils disposable too. Just keep that in mind if you're being conscious of how much waste and plastic is being used. We got the: 1) Spicy Pan Fried Noodles: -NOT SPICY AT ALL. -Slightly peppery. -Thick, pad see ew like noodles, but it was really doughy and broke very easily. -Barely absorbed any flavor and it came with a small amount of chicken and mushroom. 2) Chicken Satay Salad: -The chicken was like those microwaveable tenders, but sliced into thinner pieces. Not bad for what it is and they give you a lot. -Plentiful satay sauce throughout, though it is a bit watery. -Salad was just lettuce, julienne carrots, onion, and cucumber. Really reminds me of those packaged bags of grocery store salads... -They give you some pickled jalapenos and cucumber in vinegar as a side. 3) Shrimp Fried Rice: -The actual fried rice had a nice savory seasoning that wasn't too salty and it wasn't oily either. -No egg or tomatoes in this unfortunately. Just sliced bell pepper and onions. -Shrimp was bland, but at least they gave us a decent amount of them. 4) Coffee Smoothie: -Very icy and just okay. There are way more specific cuisine specializing restaurants in the area. I guess this place is okay if literally EVERYONE in the party can't decide or if nothing else is open, but even then this wouldn't be anywhere near my top choices to go to... Affordable in nature, they will be very busy during dinner hours. For many coming here for years because sometimes it is just a defaulted alternative. The eclectic fashion of flavors is mostly of the Chinese variety with a splatter of Vietnamese and Thai flavors too. With a valiant attempt, you will find a mash of decent flavors. The selective tastebuds will be a bit deterred, but most will find the menu acceptable. The atmosphere is busy, the staff is curt, and the food is hot. After the pandemic, much of the business has become take-away too. Hours are not as late as they used to be, thus counting on 10 pm being shut down time. If you are looking for big portions of decent mediocre food, Noodle World is the way to go. All of the dishes are a pretty good portion for $11-$13 and the taste is fine. It's filling and doesn't break the bank, sometimes that's all you need. I ordered the chicken mint leaf rice and the flavor was a bit lacking. It tasted a bit too sweet rather than savory, and there wasn't enough mint flavor. A lot of the dishes come in a black tupperware, which I get is more efficient for their clean up or if you have leftovers. But I feel like if I dine in, I want to at least eat off of plates. This place does have a pretty large selection of food, which is something positive. Overall, sometimes you don't need anything fancy and just something pretty mid. It's been 5 years since I've dined at this location. I come here mainly for the spicy spaghetti w/beef, and it never disappoints. We tried the chicken pho today and the broth was on point. Service is a bit slow, but I've gotten used to it. One thing that needs improvement is restaurant cleanliness. The tables and utensils were clean, but there were three Flys on the window while we were dining, and the restroom was filthy like they haven't cleaned it in a weeks time. This place is always a good go to for late-night dinner since they do open later than many other places. Their food and noodles are good but I wouldn't say they are 100% authentic. The reason being is - noodle world - they're trying to make all the noodles around the world. So it is expected that its more Americanized if anything. That doesn't decease the tastiness of the food, but just don't go there with the expectation of amazing authenticity food. However their service is great, the food is served super fast! How the mighty have fallen. Noodle World didn't always have the best food, but it was generally decent. To be fair, the last time I had this place was a different location pre-COVID, but the food today was noticeably worse than what I remember. I also looked at my old pictures, and it also certainly looks better than what we got today. I ordered the spicy spaghetti. Their portions are still as generous as always, but I remember the spicy spaghetti being quite flavorful and tasty in the past. This time, while it definitely was flavorful, it tasted like glorified cafeteria food (not in a good way). I love saucy noodles, but this was definitely too heavy on the sauce. The sauce also tasted like it probably came out of a can (yes, I meant can and not jar); it was Chef Boyardee level flavor. That is not a compliment. First of all when we arrived we got attended immediately, our waitress was the sweetest and most attentive. We got a variety of things; Pad see you, house wonton noodles , spicy fried chicken wings, fried rice with raisins and pineapple along with cashew nuts and lastly a Thai ice tea. My back story is that it's my first time coming here I've always wanted to try to it so my partner brought me. 1. Pad see you , it was DELICIOUS omg when we ordered our items everything was out within 8 min , it was fresh and warm , I loved the taste although I do feel like the meat was too well done for me but overall the taste was great. 2. Spicy friend chicken , these were amazing as well the spicy sauce that comes with it is a perfect level of spicyness , it's really tolerable and it's not like other places this is a unique flavor. The chicken was super crispy to people who have sensitive teeth you may want to tell them to go light of the crunch because they're really fried. 3. Fried rice with pineapple, cashew and raisins, chicken , PERSONALLY this was my favorite out of all dishes this dish is also unique it's a perfect combination of flavor that I had never tried before , I really loved it the rice it had a perfect fluff, the cashew were soft and the pineapple was perfectly grilled 4. House wonton soup , to be honest we got to try this last, it was decent I tried it but I was pretty full, for my liking I didn't really like the noodles but the soup tasted really good. The meat that it had and seafood were good too I just didn't get to get the full experience with this one. (If you read this please like my review thanks!) 5 . The Thai ice tea was AMAZIING , I've read reviews were they said it's good but the boba is the problem and from my experience, yes the boba does clog the straw because they're stuck together but it was just a couple that did that, I was able to remove them and it wasn't a big problem for me . Overall I give this place a 9/10 The restrooms weren't that maintained (the women's) it was pretty decent clean but there was toilet paper on the ground . He no longer runs the place which probably explains the decline in service, food, etc. However this original Noodle World location is not bad just not as good as before, but way better then any of their other "Noodle World Jr" brand /locations. I was craving noodles for dinner and came across this place on Yelp. Despite the harsh reviews this place has, I still decided to give it a try. Service: I think the service was whatever. It really could have been better. I placed a phone order for pick-up, and the guy that picked up the phone took my order with an annoyed tone. He even hung up on me in the middle of my sentence! I was very annoyed when I got to the restaurant but realized that the place had a ton of to-go orders and customers dining in. So, I decided to let it go about it because I'm sure the employee on the phone was just stressed from how busy it was. That same employee did help me right when I walked into the place and got me my food, so that was great. Food Radnah Beef: I thought that the gravy with the noodles was pretty good! The beef was chewy, the noodles and vegetables were tasty. I really liked this dish. However, I thought that the noodle to gravy ratio was off. There weren't many noodles to begin with. It was still delicious, though. I would recommend getting this dish! Spicy pan-fried chicken- First, I got a raw chicken piece in my food. Glad I took a look before eating it! Every other chicken piece was cooked thoroughly but that one. I thought that this overall dish lacked flavor. It's almost like the only seasoning it had were only black peppers. Hence the name "spicy pan-fried chicken," this dish was not spicy at all. The vegetables weren't doing it for me either. I wouldn't recommend getting this dish. I feel like the only thing that made up for my experience with this restaurant would really only be the Radnah Beef dish. Parking: They have a private lot with a good amount of parking spaces. If that gets filled up, there's always street parking. Environment: Masks are required. Came in here around 9:15pm and conveniently they close at 10pm. I tried their stir fried beef noodles and beef noodle soup. Stir fry noodles had chewy and nice texture and tasted great! I just left the restaurant right now, This is one of my favorite restaurants and I've never had any issues till today. I witnessed an argument between the waiter and the customer because the waiter would walk right passed him when he tried to ask him a question even said "excuse me" the waiter did not acknowledge him at all, till the customer got his attention and let him know he was ignoring him. He got what was asked for and instead of giving him the box to go in the hand even when his son was reaching out he placed it on the table. The family left so upset, also we experienced with a different waiter. We were trying to order and I mistakenly said noodle instead of spaghetti and he replied in a very rude way saying "that's not what it's called, it's spaghetti do you not know how to read" then my sister and I were shocked n maybe thought he was joking till she said "oh it is spaghetti" and he repeated again "yes that's what I said she doesn't know how to read" and never came back to check if we needed anything. Was hoping that after Covid, things would have changed. Came with my husband and he got the Mint Leaf Chicken. It was pretty good. We were like ok, received the meal in a to-go container..must be because of covid. That's cool. Than I received my curry, it was in a bowl. We thought that was kind of odd. This is my first time trying the green curry and I was disappointed. It was watery, this is not how curry is supposed to be like. The flavors were ok and it was oddly sweet. We were the first so we got sat at the corner, which was fine. The second couple came in and sat 2 tables away. Were were like great! They're social distancing. Than a 3rd group came in and they sat them right between our table and the other, when there are so much other tables around. I would understand if they were full, but come on there are plenty of tables. And it seems they weren't strict with masks. This is a really great place to eat with family! I can confidently say this as I grew up with this restaurant and have eaten here for 10 years!! However, they did change the chef.. Food- This only changed the quality of Rad Nar, which was my favorite dish to order. They no longer stir fry the noodles, so the noodles ended up being undercooked AND flavorless. Besides that, the catfish and Thai boat noodles are super yummy here still!! My family swears by their catfish and chili sauce! Also boba was a 3/5. Just average! 626 has a TON of better boba options so just look somewhere else! Service- Overall, service was pretty good, and the place is pretty clean! There is plenty of seating inside. All I can say: huge portions and low prices. Doesn't look like the cleanest restaurant but every table was full when I came here and a lot of customers are picking up their phone orders. Overall super busy restaurant. They're serving the food in togo containers which makes taking your large amount of leftovers home very easy as you only need the lid. The spicy spaghetti: huge portion and very yummy. I feel like I could make this at home but for $10, I'll buy it. The charbroiled pork chop rice: 3 large pieces of meat with rice. They don't give you as much food as they previously did, but the food taste wise is about the same. The food here is a mix of many different kinds of Asian foods (Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, etc .) where in the past, it was more Thai and Vietnamese food. Because of this, it's not very authentic tasting. Things inside seem to feel old, and the service is pretty poor (although it has never been great). read more

The onions were sweet, and the tomatoes were sour, so made the dish a bit sour overall. There were about 5-6 medium sized shrimps mixed into the dish, but they had no flavor and weren't fresh. Only the rice was flavored. All in all, I probably wouldn't order this again, 3/5. Catfish with chili sauce: This dish is super yummy! I've ordered this dish at many Thai restaurants before, but actually liked it here better. Their catfish was crispy, and the sauce was very flavorful and had a good kick of spiciness. The dish came with ample white rice as well, 5/5. Overall, I would say food here is usually okay, with a few dishes that shine a bit more than others (like their catfish). This place has been one of my favorite spots to grab a soup. From there ramen to pho everything is great and can tell it's fresh to order. The workers there are definitely on top of everything making sure your water is filled and food comes out promptly. It's somewhat packed on certain days not to loud and parking is pretty easy. We've been to the one in San Gabriel and it's a steep downgrade in all departments, only thing is it's a tad more luxurious but everything else is boof.
