Located in the small Korean market--on the left hand side when you walk in--small food court with a few others. Got jajangmyeon. (Black bean noodle)and it was decent. Large portion with tender noodles for a fair price of $8.00. A LOT of sauce if you like your noodles like that. There's other stir fry type noodle options if you're craving a quick easy simple noodle dish. (mostly pork, beef, shrimp ingredients though... ). I would recommend trying it out if you have the noodle munchies. Note: if you eat there, don't forget to give back your tray to the designated location you purchased from. (Yes, I was a bit confused too)

I love Black bean noodle and sweet pork. I used to visit this location few times and it was not bad. However, I am so disappointed for last visiting. I ordered jajang rice and sweet pork and black bean noodle. It was salty and soggy. Also, portion was really small. I usually get J1 for over 4 stars. However, it's not for this location anymore. I think they operate this business under new management. I recommend you guys look for better black bean noodle places around here because there are so many great options. I will never be back

noodles j-1 did not disappoint! great food, service, and clean tables within the grocery store. yay!!!

(American here) I thought the noodles were amazing! Hearty, perfectly cooked and fresh! Amazing value for the price. The staff was very friendly. The complimentary yellow vegetable was incredibly tasty. I would recommend this place!

Food is always good. Try the sweet and sour pork and jjajjangmyun. My 5th time here. Worth the drive.

Their black bean noodles (jajangmyeon) and spicy seafood noodle soup (jjamppong) are so good here.

Not only that but the food here is amazing. This time I got the garlic ribeye noodles. The portions were huge and it was so delicious. I usually get the lomo Saltado. Parking is available in a lot, but it was pretty full when we arrived, so we ended up parking farther away, but still within the same lot. Inside was nice, and we were seated in the corner so had some privacy to our meal. We ordered a few different dishes to share, and honestly, everything was really good. The cucumber salad was simple but well done. The cucumbers were crunchy, and the dressing had plenty of flavor without being too heavy. The spicy wontons had a nice kick, although they were a little salty for my taste. Still, the spice and overall flavor made them easy to keep eating. The Filet Fried Rice was another standout. The filet was tender, and the fried rice itself had a good balance of flavor without being overly greasy. The Grilled Chicken Garlic Noodles were also solid, with a good amount of garlic flavor that paired well with the chicken. It was great, but nothing that blew my mind. My favorite might have been the Saltado Fries. They were extremely crispy and packed with flavor, and I love a good combination of the fries with savory toppings. Service was good despite the restaurant being busy, and everything came out tasting fresh and well prepared. Overall, I'm excited to go back.

A watery jajangmyeon that tastes worse than a cheap 3-minute Ottogi jajang or Chapaghetti (which costs less than $5) is definitely overpriced at $15. You'd honestly be better off paying a little more and eating somewhere else. This is honestly the worst Jajangmyeon I've ever had in the OC area, even including k-snack bars. It was worse than even Hong Kong Banjeom, which is cheaper than this place. This place will keep you fed and full for a good price. The chicken dishes here are all pretty…read moregood. The soy chicken is super sweet though, to the point where it tastes like candy, so I would be careful w that one if you dont like sweet things. I was in the mood for shrimp the last time I went so I asked for a shrimp dragon bowl. The lady spoke very fast and in very broken English. I believe she asked what type of shrimp and I asked what type they had and she had me go down to the steam table that had one type of shrimp, so I was like "ok, I guess that's the one then." The portions and the cook and temp on the shrimp was really good. The sauce on them was straight up mayonnaise though. Looking back at their menu online I now know this must be their walnut shrimp. Never saw any walnuts though. All mayo. So the next time I go I will ask if I can get a bowl of maybe some sweet and sour or spicy chili shrimp because the mayo all over the bowl was kinda gross. Their firecracker chicken, orange chicken, kung pow chicken are all good and the egg rolls they give as part of the combos are the highlight of the meal for sure. The past couple of times I have gone they were still stocking the drinks in the ice bin so when they asked me to take a drink as part of the combo each time they had not stocked any of the sugar free sodas. I mentioned to them if they had a diet soda I would take one and they just stonewalled me and didn't reach over to the stack of cases of diet soda along the wall of the restaurant. So yeah, not the most helpful of service sometimes. I think it might be because they are always so busy and they have one speed where you don't stop to smell the roses and make that connection, but at least you can say that they keep the line moving.
