Call before you go, store always close early
    Gloria A.

Don't have a chance to try their food yet because I drive all the way here and it is closed 1 hour early than the listed hours on front door! Call them before you go because they do not update hours on Yelp and they stated "store will close early when ingredients is "used up"......

Pork belly/kimchee seaweed rice rolls(gimbap) - game changer

"Hidden gem", "hole in the wall", "mom n pop", you name it, it applies. This place has all the hallmarks of a really special, specialty (Korean take out/ lunch aka doshirak) joint: 1. You have to phone in the order before the lunch hour rush because they always run out. 2. It's a Korean joint that serves primarily Koreans. 3. Did I mention that they run out of goods to sell? Very reminiscent of the cream pan hype a decade back, the right move here is without a doubt the 'pork belly and kimchee kimbap' (its sushi roll Korean style minus the raw sea proteins). It's instant pork belly Korean BBQ in small bites. I can devour 2 sleeves of these, no problem. Pork belly kimchee rolls, you gotta get em here. 5 smelly stars.

    Kimbap

BEST KIMBAP!!! I am not Korean, however I love kimbap and this is what I would imagine a Korean mom's homemade kimbap would ideally taste like!! This shop randomly popped up on my list when I was searching for lunch in the Fullerton area, and I am so happy it did!! It is a small Korean shop with kimbap & lunch boxes for sale, along with frozen foods & miscellaneous snacks. I always call when I'm 10 minutes away so that it can be ready by the time I arrive. The Korean lady who is always there is so sweet & friendly. Last time, she gave me free peanut snack! I've tried the spam kimbap, fish cake kimbap, tuna kimbap, & fish sausage kimbap. The first 3 are definitely my favorite! They include: meat of choice, rice, seaweed, pickled radish, egg, organic carrot, organic sesame leaf, & sesame oil, and sometimes burdock. I think they run out of ingredients so they won't have the burdock sometimes. They usually run out of ingredients by 1pm & can't make any more food, so make sure to call ahead to check! There is one ingredient that I can't decide if I like or not, I believe it's the sesame leaf. It has a very interesting bitter-ih taste. Sometimes I like, sometimes I don't, so just a heads up haha if you try it and don't like, you can always take it out or ask her not to include next time. Each roll comes with 8-9ish pieces I think? Something like that haha. I always get 2 of the cheaper rolls for lunch, which add up to $9.50ish. Gets me super satisfied so both my tummy AND my wallet love me! :) REMINDER: MINIMUM $10 FOR CARD ($9 is close enough, she is very nice about it)

Look for the heart shape finger signage in a small plaza right on Commonwealth Ave. I bought 4 rolls to try. (Avocado Veggie, Tuna, Fish Sausage and Burdock Veggie) You get about 7-8 yummy medallions per roll. All were delicious, but my fav was the Avocado Veggie. Prices are affordable too. All 4 rolls was $18! Sweet deal when prices everywhere is going up. Will return to try the other items. Come support this mom/pop shop and you won't be disappointed.

    Spicy squid n shrimp

Came back again for dinner. They were nearly sold out at 7pm. I was able to get their white rice with spicy squid/shrimp n veggies (outstanding!). And also their tuna kimbap (very good, comfort food). On top of that she was kind enough to give me some banchan while I ate there (stir fried fish cake, buchoo kimchi and garlic stems - SO GOOD!). The service is always kind and generous. Will have to try to get there earlier. As I am already a huge fan of their spicy pork lunch bento box.

    · PROS · + Really good Korean food. I love the "doshirak" [bento box style] since you get so much variety. + The mapo tofu and the bulgogi doshirak was all very delicious. + Friendly staff · CONS · - Food takes time to make. I wanted to get two doshirak, but was told it would like 10-15 min. each. Make sure you call in advance. Because I did not want to wait, I got the mapo tofu instead, and this doesn't come with any side dishes.

Grabbed some lunch at 8:30am to eat later of one bento and one kimbap. Overall a 4.5* for me and would love to preorder to try their other offerings, especially if picking up so early. Also sells some frozen products like rice cakes from Korea, seasoned crabs, boba ice cream etc. And some packaged products like porridge, dried snacks and more. Next time I will take the time to browse their many things. Bento: -Pork bulgogi bento: had the only premade kind at 8:30am which had 6 items of white rice, spicy pork bulgogi with carrots, onions & peppers 4.5*, chive & pepper pancake 5*, spicy seasoned fish cake 5*, sweet simmered beans 5*, radish kimchi 5*, rolled veg omelette 4* $10 4.5* KimBap Rice Roll: -Ham Kimbap: the only premade kimbap at 8:30am (but looks like you can order some of their other kimbaps to be made for you.) Generous size ham and egg but did wish for more veggies in there too. Nice the nori was still quite crispy at 8:30am. 4* Service: -cheerful, attentive 5* -place is clean and bright 5* Location 4.5* -northeast side of intersection of Beach & Commonwealth -middle store of strip mall -store sign is in big white Korean letters " " against a black background while the "Heartful Made" is in the corner and in smaller letters 4* Dining -a takeout place but does have a small table with 2 chairs outside 5*

We ordered 24 wings and split it to try the soy garlic, K-sweet chili and Seoul spicy. Oh my! Generous size and served piping hot. Crunchy outside with tender chicken inside. Each one was very tasty and the spicy one hits you after a bit. So good! The K-pop street tacos were also very good and served with a spicy sauce. So glad they're still around. It's been a while since we came and we're happy and satisfied. Plenty of seating and the service is good. Attended to in good time and didn't have to wait long to get our food. There is a small lot out front for parking, and I suspect you can park on the street when the lot fills up. We happened to come by during the Korea vs. Mexico game, and understandably, the place gets packed, with a line forming outside. We somehow beat the rush by about 30 minutes and were seated at a table as soon as we entered. We also realized then that they didn't have the all-you-can-eat option, so we ended up ordering the chicken wings, their version of loaded fries, and steamed rice. We also placed the order via the QR code. We had our drinks delivered to our table shortly afterward. The food, however, was taking a long time to get to our table. It may have been a combination of the FIFA World Cup and a staff shortage, but when we were there, there was only 1 kitchen staff member and 1 wait staff member. The lady on the wait staff did everything from serving food to accepting new customers and topping off water for all the tables. A wall separates the restaurant; there is a front room and an inside room, and both rooms had televisions broadcasting the game. The food itself was decent for the price that they charge. The chicken wings came out piping hot, crispy on the outside, and juicy inside. They have some options for different wing flavors. The fries were also delicious and well-fried. I hope the restaurant invests in more wait staff because there were times we needed something from the wait staff. Seeing how busy she was, or sometimes she's just in the front room, we haven't seen her in a while to get whatever we needed. Overall, it was a good experience. The food was good, and the atmosphere is very unique; it's definitely a nice place to get some Korean street food when you're in the area. The only things to note are that parking is limited, food will take a while to cook as it is made fresh, and there will be some waiting to be done if you need wait staff. Last thing to note: I love that they had some Korean Fusion dishes, and I wish I had a bigger stomach to try these as well during our visit, perhaps another time!

The kimchi, kkakdugi (radish kimchi), and gat kimchi are absolutely delicious. I heard that the owner makes everything in-house, and you can really tell how much care and skill go into the food. The staff are also incredibly kind and welcoming every time I visit. Galbitang (Beef Short Rib Soup) - This is honestly the best galbitang I've had in both OC and LA. The broth is rich and flavorful, and the beef is always fresh and tender. Whenever I'm craving galbitang in the OC/LA area, this is the only place I go. Yukgaejang (Spicy Beef Soup) - The amount of ingredients they give you is amazing. I've had it both dining in and as takeout, and it's consistently delicious every single time. It's perfectly seasoned, and has just the right level of spice. As much as I love the galbitang, I think I actually enjoy the yukgaejang even more. Pork Cutlet (Donkatsu) - This place is known for its galbitang and seolleongtang, so I wasn't expecting much from the donkatsu... but why is it this good? The cabbage salad dressing that comes on the side is seriously addictive. The portion size is huge, there's no way I could finish it by myself. It has the crispy texture of Japanese katsu, while still having a great pork flavor of its own. I honestly think this could be considered one of their signature dishes. If you're looking for authentic Korean comfort food with generous portions and warm service, I highly recommend giving this place a try. I'll definitely keep coming back!
