I've tried the stew beef banh mi and the chicken teriyaki banh mi. Both probably the worst I've ever had, and I've tried many. The bread is way too bready (a big no no for any sandwich but especially banh mis) and they slathered so much sauce all over it, they were both sloppy messes. Didn't taste good either. You can't even taste the pickled veggies from the excess sauce. Oh no! This place has changed since I first starting coming here. It used to be my go to. The summer rolls used to have big chunks of meat, greens and fresh herbs. Now, just a bit of meat and ALL rice noodles. So disappointed in these changes. Pot stickers seemed to be pre-frozen and then deep fried. The noodle dishes were meh. Not bad. So I once again fell victim to my Thai cravings and gave this another shot (I reviewed this once before). No no no and NO! Pad tai should not be: red, contain bell peppers, or regular onions! The combination was just unedible considering I was craving the real thing. I know this is more of a Viet spot, but they get their Chinese and Korean dishes about right. The fiance and I decided to try this place out the other night. We went online and ordered beef pad thai, general's chicken, crab rangoon, a banana bubble tea and an avocado bubble tea. The bubble teas were yummy. The crab rangoon was good. The entrees left a lot to be desired. The pad thai tasted like nothing in particular, but smelled like fish. I picked out all the beef and then dumped the rest of it in the trash. The fiance said that the general's chicken wasn't exciting. I'm a bit disappointed. I was appalled at the poor customer service I experienced how ordering take out from this restaurant today. I called ahead and ordered the Cm Tấm Sờn. I didn't mind the extra wait I had to do in the restaurant but was extremely disappointed and shocked that I got yelled at when I informed the man up front that my order was wrong. He proceeded to yell at me and question what language I speak. He boldly shouted that if I speak English I should order in English too. He misheard my order as kung pao shrimp and kept yelling at me for ordering the grilled pork chop with rice in Vietnamese instead of English. I've experienced getting the wrong order many times before and I always understand that mistakes happen and patiently wait for the correct order. The food is somewhat decent here but the horrific customer service makes this place a very uncomfortable place for me to eat from. I'm a huge pho fan so I practically caused a car accident when I spied the restaurant's sign from the corner of my eye driving home from Ikea today. I was hungry so I decided to stop in and give their pho a try. And boy was I glad I did! I was greeted warmly by a friendly older woman who turned out to be the server. The interior was immaculately clean and decorated in a minimalist, modern style. I ordered the #121 pho and it came quickly to my table in a huge bowl. It was filled with piping hot, delicately seasoned broth with a generous ball of fresh rice noodles resting at the bottom and a copious amount of thinly slices of round steak, brisket, flank, tendon and beef meatball floating on top. On the side was a plate of crispy fresh bean sprouts, basil leaves, a wedge of lime, and rings of jalapeno pepper. There were bottles of hoisin sauce, sriracha, soy sauce, salt, and pepper available on the table. The pho was delicious! Pretty close to being as good as the pho at Green Basil in Naperville, my local favorite for pho. The broth is a tad bit more flavorful at GB but you can only order the "small" pho at lunch there while it's available all day/night at NPU. My server checked on me twice during my meal, refilling my water glass each time. We even struck up a conversation about how much she loved pho (she eats it every day) and that I noticed how popular pho noodle shops were with Latinos when I lived in Seattle. It's always wonderful to discover a new family-owned restaurant with great service and food. I hope this place catches on. I'm definitely coming back to try their inexpensive lunch specials and the banh xeo (crispy egg crepe), another Vietnamese favorite. Can't wait! read more

It was not a place I'd go to or order from again. We called in our order for pickup. Since we had a few min. we ordered 2 smoothies. Our food was ready and then we had to wait 15 min. for our smoothies. We ordered the shrimp summer roll which was 5 pieces of shrimp, rolled in rice paper, with romaine, and rice. I took 2 bites with the peanut dipping sauce and I wasn't impressed. The Singapore rice noodles tasted like ramen noodles with 8 small shrimp a couple of dry pork slives and a couple onion and pepper spices. I am a frequent customer here this is the first time that the person that handles the order over the phone really upsets me. I've noticed before that he is not that friendly he doesn't say thank u or smile. Didn't let that bother me before, this time it made my blood boils. I called earlier to order for two. I told him that if he can separate my orders to a separate bags. So i gave him my first order then he said okay..click. I'm like what the heck why did he hang up. So i called again, i just pretend he accidentally hung-up but he actually hung-up the phone. So i said i think i got disconnected i have more order he said okay, click. WTF he hung up the phone again. So i called again and said what is going on? He said, I don't know u called me. I told him u keep Hanging-up the phone on me and i am not done with my order. He said oh ur not done, ok go ahead. So i told him what i want and asked him did u get my drink? He said WHATEVER YOU WANT. i told him what i wanted and asked how much he totally ignored my question and hung up the phone again . When he hung up the phone for the 4th time i was telling my husband about how rude this guy from noodles pho u and said we will never order from this place again. I told him this is our last order from them. Couple mins later I've decided to just cancel my order and told my husband to call them, my husband asked my son to call. Horrible customer service, We ordered online and they estimated an hour. It had taken them over an hour and half to get here. I called and spoke to someone and informed them of the issue, all he could say was its on its way. When I asked what can we do about this that now its going to be over an hour and half before it gets here. He goes ok thank you have a nice day and hung up. Its your issue with delivery not mine. Someone could have called or emailed stating it was going to be late. Not wait for me to call and get hung up on??? This is beyond not I would expect from a delivery place. I have the right mind to never order from here again and dispute it on my credit card for not complying with the agreement on this order that I was given. This person who answered there phone after I had to call back because no one answered is out of line and could not even take the consideration and apologize for the issue. Then the person to not even give me a time when to expect it is the topper. Just its on its way, really it should have been her over a half an hour ago. Plus they ask you to tip on the order ahead of time. Never will I again add tip first. Plus I can just imagine how the food and drinks (Frozen) drinks will be. They need to work on there customer service skills and own up for there mistakes and something should be reduced from the bill or offered for the next visit. I've gone to Noodles Pho U before and it was just ok but I wanted to give it another try. Today I went with 5 people and it was the worst service I've ever had anywhere. The servers seemed to be bothered with questions or orders for that matter. After the horrible service we got the check and it included an automatic service fee. Just moved to Bolingbrook and I was so excited to see a Vietnamese restaurant right down the street. This place is awesome! Their pho is amazing but I am the biggest fan of their fresh spring rolls... they're huge! Great portion for the price and they always taste amazing. They also have super awesome bimimbap... big enough for two full meals. Yes, the service isn't 100% but I usually order it for takeout anyways. Will continue to visit here very often! read more

So hard to make this review because I really do enjoy the food. My family moved here from LA and we happen to live 1 mile from this restaurant. We were so happy to have found a place with such delicious food!! We moved here almost a year ago, and we probably order 1-2 each week!! Today I tried to place an order and the gentleman that answered the phone said that they don't want to deliver to us anymore because we don't tip enough. I explained to him that they are traveling one mile. The app that they use for cc sales automatically charges %20. I really don't think it's fair that I would tip a driver $12-20 for a ONE mile delivery. I asked the guy what he thinks I should tip? He said "are you going to tip more or no? I said we will no longer order from you. I am a chef and know that the person delivering should not receive that high of a tip. That is for dine in service and unless you are cooking my food and bringing it to me, you will not get that %20. I wish there wasn't such a language barrier so I can actually get my point across. I went here a few weeks ago. The guy taking my order has the worst customer service. Seemed annoyed I was there in the first place. I was looking at their menu and asked where the noodles section was. He ripped the menu out of my hand and pointed to the backside. After placing the order I sat and waited since it was a carry out order. The food came at a reasonable time but when he came over to hand me the bag of food (I was looking down at my phone) he hit my the bill of my hat with the bag and didn't even pretend to act as if it was an accident and just smiled. WORST BUBBLE TEA IN HISTORY and for $5 too! We ordered 3 different ones and all lacked flavor but my son's was the worst (basically sloosie water with tapioca pearls in it). I asked if we could at least switch it to another flavor and they took it and a minute later brought the same one back! The guy was like "Better, yah?"
