We enjoyed a beautiful meal at Nook this past Friday evening! We walked in and loved the interior- luxe, cozy, and sleek. I had been craving a good pasta for months and nothing seemed to quite scratch that itch for me until I tried Nook's cacio e pepe- cheesy, fatty, and perfectly peppery. The chicken I added on top was moist and blackened to perfection. My husband opted for the Diavolo and he loved it- the bottom of the crust was beautifully browned and crunchy, and the outer crust had a beautiful chew to it. Before we left, we enjoyed the tiramisu- it was rich and surprisingly bright, thanks to the addition of orange zest. It was a bit watery and soggy near the bottom, but I didn't mind that much. Service was phenomenal- Isaiah was attentive the entire evening. He was also apologetic when our friends' dessert came out far too underbaked, and he made sure to make it right for us. All in all, we enjoyed our night at Nook and would love to come back to enjoy another meal! read more

I'm not sure if this is a chain or an AZ chain but we saw this place as it looked a little on the fancier side and we're having a date night before a fancy show. We were able to make reservations right when they opened at 5 and we got seated right away. I'm not sure if they just opened but the hostess and our waitress were new. The hostess sat us by other people but the manager happily moved us without us even asking. We got a nice high top right by the open window on a beautiful day. Our waitress was amazing, she did great for her first week. I had the peach cocktail, it's not sweet but it was pretty good. I also had a fuzzy navel the bartender made really well. They were out of a few scotch. We started with the chefs board and not only was it one of the best presentations but it had a fantastic assortment, there was Brie, goat cheese, mozzarella and this mustard seed cheese that was phenomenal. It came with a side of bread and we were able to get more (they don't give enough bread). It had 4 assortments of meats, not sure the names of all of them. It had mustard, fig spread and really interesting peppers that were slightly spicy. The bread was yummy with it all (slightly toasted) For dinner I had the shrimp pasta. It had a slightly spicy red sauce with tomatoes and was super good. They gave me three big prawns and a huge portion. It fed me 3 meals. My boyfriend had the rigatoni. It had huge chunks of meat and I loved the big shells they used. No spicy to the rigatoni. We will definitely come again and try some more appetizers and other entrees. The manager (Nicholas) let us know they were completely booked for the night but could get us a table for a couple of hours before he would need it for a reservation: DEAL! He sat us at a quaint little table by the window. Was just me and my bestie out for a quick dinner and then a show later. We ordered some fun drinks, and then tried several items from appetizer menu (Brussel chips, octopus, olives, and the bacon wrapped stuffed dates! We had to have them redo the bacon on the dates cause it came out BLACK! But they were so lovely about it and it came out super fast and manager apologized. I won't ding them on that since they handled it with grace and class. We will be back again because the service was great, the food was delicious and the manager was very kind. Such a great experience start to finish! The complimentary valet was so convenient, the ambience walking in is great. The place is small enough that we weren't overwhelmed but not so small that we felt at all crowded. The service was fantastic, we never wanted for anything as our waiter was very attentive, and our food was delivered in a timely fashion. And the food, WOW we got the Ox tail gnocchi and the jalapeño shrimp risotto, we both agreed the meals melted in our mouths and we had to take our time to really savor them because we didn't want it to end! Delicious! Had been wanting to try nook for years and finally went last night with my parents and husband! We didn't have a reservation but we're seated right away. The table we were at was huge for 4 people haha. We all loved the giant lightbulb decor. Love the style of the restaurant, very cool vibe in there! My dad and I shared a margherita pizza and the tomato salad. My mom had the arugula salad that I tried a few bites of. My husband got a margherita pizza too. Everything was SO delicious. I loved how fresh the cheese was on the pizza. Also sometimes thin crusts like that get super soggy but this one didn't at all! We ended our meal sharing vanilla chocolate chip gelato. It was creamy with big chocolate chunks, yum. It's a little on the pricey side but not terrible for salads and pizza. read more

They should definitely consider adding a vegan appetizer in addition to this, however still a plus that they have vegan entrees at all. I had the vegan baked rigatoni which was delicious! It had vegan cheese baked on top which still managed to pull with the fork (win). My boyfriend got the rigatoni bolognese which he said was "f-in delicious." They make all pasta in house and it makes all the difference in texture. Ordered an espresso martini off menu and it was definitely top 5 espresso martinis I've ever had. Just okay. Also used AMEX/Resy while dining here, and thank goodness, because everything is priced WAY too high. We started with the Artichoke Hearts, which were okay, but you didn't quite know where you were cutting and what you were getting. Got the Seasonal Mixed Greens salad which was the absolute standout of the night. Chose the Nook Burger for my entree and at first it seemed great, then I realized it was inconsistent - juicy and tender in some spots, then dry and chewy (I had to spit out one piece) in other spots. The fries were pretty bland and moist - nothing to write home about. Otherwise, the ambiance of the restaurant is okay, but the Valet seemed unnecessary and the small parking lot was annoying (I guess that's how they justify the Valet?), though I find this is a characteristic of hipster places that are well-reviewed and hard to get into (in several senses of the phrase). A mostly non-offensive place, but I can't say I like this trend of items being priced high only to be discounted for the select few, and I REALLY can't imagine anyone paying full price for anything here...except maybe the salad ;-) read more

This place is really awesome! Husband and I tried this place out after seeing them on a google search and I am happy we made the drive. Food was very good. I ordered the lemon linguine pasta with salmon and my husband ordered the Diavlo pizza. The pizza will come out a little early but our server warned us before hand so I wasn't surprised or looking for my food. Speaking of service, it was very attentive and Ryan was phenomenal. He made great suggestions, was knowledgeable and always came to check in on us. Hubby said his pizza was awesome and was not super oily (which he never likes). I can say the pasta was very robust and full of great flavor, especially if you like lemon. Atmosphere is cool, super cute interior. The restaurant felt clean. Cane here to celebrate my bday! They have a nice bar area and regular tables and then really big tables with booth to sit a lot of people. We had an assortment of salads, pastas and desserts. I especially liked the burrata and the Brussels chips. I got the Shrimp Diavolo pasta and it was very tasty. Shrimp were cooked well. The sauce was so good and the portion was just the right amount that leaves you enough room to try desserts. We pretty much tried all of the desserts that night and everything was good. Found this place on Yelp last night and drove by it on my way to another place last night and decided to come back for a drink. I like the set up. I would say, it's a good idea to have a reservation, I didn't have one so, I ended up sitting at the bar. A plus, the bar has purse hooks, not all establishments have those. For a drink, I ended up going with my favorite, Dealers choice. All they ask is what you want your base, I asked for Vodka base. I ended up with what tasted like a cucumber lemonade. It was delicious and refreshing. The only downfall, there was one bartender making craft cocktails for the entire restaurant on a Friday night. I also had an appetizer, I went with steak frites, the fries were delicious and so was the dipping sauce. The steak, was ehh. Overall, I am planning to come back.
