The worst service ever from robin and her manager Stewert. They emulate pic 'n' save rather than Nordstroms. The rudeness from robin was beyond belief. Stewert wouldn't even take the call because he has other customer service issues. That's retail! If you don't like dealing with the public get out of the biz. I've NEVER been to Nordstrom Rack, but I've always heard good things about it. This year for Valentine's Day I made the mistake of finding a gift so last minute (day of). I called the store looking for men's Chelsea boots and Tony helped me find the perfect pair for a gift. He was able to provide me with pictures and prices to make this purchase 10x easier. I spent $250 today; at 8:55pm according to my receipt. I loaded everything onto my car, my wife said she liked something that we didn't buy, I decided to walk in to buy it for her. I came back in at 9:01 when I was told in a very rude tone of voice that they were closed; I believe it was a floor manager or someone who felt entitled to kick me out after I told her I knew what I wanted and it would only take a second. She responded that they wanted to go home; however there was still many people shopping, and I don't think I would of been the last one to pay. I felt very disrespected, next time lock your doors and don't follow me half ways to the store to kick me out it is embarrassing. There is many things you could of done better. You guys need to hire better people they are the ones who create aa perception towards your brand. read more

I am from out of town and stopped to pick up a couple items and the service was incredible. I left and went to our condo and thought I had dropped one of my items in the parking lot so I call the store and they were incredible helping me from the sales associate I started speaking too to the sore manager the were professional and reflected the upmost in customer service. We have been Nordstrom card holders for years and its experiences like this that remind me why we always shop there. P.S.... I found my item that item I thought I dropped later in my suitcase and I call the store manager back and she was very gracious and understanding. read more

I was in this store about a week ago trying to spend a gift card I've been holding onto for too long. I just moved to the area, so I thought I would check it out. I've only been to two other Rack locations in the OC. This location seemed like a good size and had a fairly decent selection of items in the men's area. I was able to find my size in a lot of things, which is hard sometimes because I'm a size small with a 28 waist. I tried on a swim suit I eventually decided to purchase, the fitting room attendant was pleasant enough and brought me to a room. She told me to bring everything out with the number she put on a hook by my door, but was absent when I came back out a few minutes later. Whatever, I put my hanger and number on her little desk thing and made my way up front to check out. That's when my experience turned into a 2-star venture. There was a guy cashier ringing up another customer but the customer has some kind of issue and they were waiting for something or someone to tell them what to do. The cashier never looked up and acknowledged me (the sole waiting customer in the check out line) while they scrutinized something on the check out desk. There was another person working in the cash wrap area on some type of project and she wouldn't dare look up for one second to make eye contact with anyone. About 10 minutes later I'm still waiting for someone to come to my rescue and ring me up. There were roaming "green shirt" people around the store that all were engrossed in some project or ringing up a 20 item purchase for a family of 6. I finally just put my items on the cashwrap impulse area and my gift card back in my wallet and headed back out into the 110° heat. Maybe I'll go use my gift card online. Was not impressed with this store. read more

Well, went to the Grand Opening and it was a MAD HOUSE! People running like crazy filling their baskets. Considering the circumstances I was very impressed with the employees. They were all calm, pleasant, and very organized. NICE! From what I could see the store isn't much to look at. Kinda looks like a Thrift Store but hey... it's NOT Nordstrom! I would go back when it calms down a bit that way I can really see what they carry. I wish the decor was more inviting but that may be asking too much. While vacationing in Palm Desert, I picked up a pizza and an apple in Whole Foods. Walked out of the store and decided to look at sunglasses nextdoor at Nordstrom's Rack. Trying to try on glasses with a pizza and apple, I asked one of the ladies at the counter for a small bag for my personal pizza and apple. She quickly and loudly informed me that they don't give out empty bags. I have a business person, I'm thinking if it was my store and someone is holding a pizza nap when they want to spend money I would be happy to accommodate and give them a bag. I realized I was standing near the manager and ask her would it be possible to get a small bag for my food. She said why didn't you ask for a bag at the market. I said I didn't know I was going to come into the store to shop but since you're right next-door I decided to come in. No customer service or business sense at all. She did give me a small bag which work perfectly for my pizza and apple. However, in one way I feel reluctant to spend my money here since I just left Saks Fifth Avenue where I received excellent customer service. But I realize these are people are trained to use a register and know absolutely nothing about business. They will be at the same register 5 years from now. read more

This is the least favorite location I've visited and I've been coast- to-coast. Selection isn't that great compared to most urban locations.

I have no complaints of the clothes and accessories or cleanliness of the facility. However, the employee I encountered was horrible. I'm not sure if you have ever seen the movie Pretty Woman, but that's the best way I can describe this event. A friend and I went into the store on our way home for a little after work shopping. To give you an idea. We didn't have makeup on and our hair was tied back. Dressed very casual, in jeans and a cardigan. We weren't done up, but we were put together. (As if even if we were a mess, it would give this lady a right to treat someone like that) When we entered, a lady at the register welcomed us and we continued to browse. As we walked around we both noticed a older woman kept a close distance. She was fixing hangers, so I just ignored the uncomfortable staring. She walks up and asks us if we need help, we tell her we're fine and carry on... and then... AND THEN.. I pick up a shirt. God forbid I pick up a shirt. I barely make out the words "this is cute" because this woman turns around and SNATCHES it from my hands! She literally grabs it out of my hands! We both stare at her wide eyed and she just says "that's not the price", still staring at this employee who just forever chased us away fro shopping here again, she notices the tension and says "if you want another size, it won't be here" puts the shirt back on the same rack, and walks away! Why did she put it on the same rack if it doesn't belong, I have no idea. I spoke to the manager and Rebecca was very apologetic and kind. However, after that incident I will not be back to a store I used to shop at very often. I can not believe I just got pretty woman-ed. read more

Its nice to finally have a Nordstroms/Nordstroms Rack here finally!! While this isnt the best location it will due. Sometimes the selection is lackluster other times it's amazing. Sales is always hit and miss as well, I wish they had a little more to offer with their men's clothing but that is the expected with a smaller location. The staff is friendly and helpful most of the time, other times they seem really untrained as far as how to talk yo customers. I get a little annoyed at the fitting room sometimes because the girls there can be very rude especially when it gets busy, they show their frustration very easily and is something that could really be worked on. Overall I'm going to continue coming here, they have free people, wildfox, true religion, and a lot of my other favorite brands at a good price so I can't complain. read more

I have NEVER had a bad experience at Nordstrom! I wanted to use my expired Nordstrom notes (which I have always been able to do in the past). However, the store informed me that about a year ago that all changed. I had $60 dollars in Nordstrom notes and asked them if they could honor it this one time. After calling in to the credit office, Michael, the asst. Manager on duty, went out of his way to let me use them! Only a small amount to the Nordstrom company but huge to me! Michael was very pleasant to work with and never made me feel dumb for asking. I will be back!!! read more

THIS LOCATION IS THE WORST. My very LAST visit to this store was today. The last time I went to this location, I waited in line for 20 minutes. The customers were holding up the line. One was on the phone with their credit card holder, and another was just talking about their life to the cashier. This isn't the issue, though. There are about 30 other employees walking around aimlessly as the line was building up. I was next in line so I was excited when one of the customers FINALLY left. I was ready to walk up to buy my item when the cashier left and completely ignored the line. That's when I walked out. Today was the same issue. I was the next in line, noticing all the employees walking around. There are plenty of registers, but only 2 employees ringing. One employee finally realized there was a line so got on registers to ring up the person in front of me. Then left after as I was waking to the register to be rung up. Once AGAIN, a line was forming, and only two people ringing. Taking forever. I waited another 10 minutes watching people go behind the cash wrap and walk away. Not even making eye contact with the customers in line. Nothing. Rudest people ever. So I walked out. I will never return to this location and I plan on telling everyone I know to write a review on the awful customer service here. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD. read more
