Ready when we are after work at 1am or whenever, no hassles, and the full menu and killer specials are almost always available with very few exceptions. If that were not enough, the wait staff here is top notch and eager to please their patrons. An A+ for effort here. I hate that I'm putting two stars it really deserve 5 stars. Until the cheese cake that I got at the end, also the service we got at the end. The bread for the cheese cake was not fresh, the texture was if like the bread had been set outside for a day or two. My wife and me left still satisfied from the meal. So satisfied that I forgot the rest of the food that I was going to take home. I don't think it was more than 10 minutes, that when we came back to retrieve the meal that we had left was thrown out already. I payed about 80 bucks just for me and my wife. So he waits. Then we find out our favorite restaurant of the past requires proof of vax status now to eat inside . So, I'm a retired registered nurse because I'm medically disabled due to my heart condition that showed up 2 yrs ago, & I can't take that jab, so I'm Not welcome at Norms anymore as a black disabled woman cause I'm not vaxed, and I'm damn sure not gonna take a stupid covid test to eat in a restaurant that has a ridiculous discrimination policy like this! I feel like I'm back in the 50's or something, should I look for the white and black water fountains next ? Or is it the vaxed unvaxed water fountains? All of which makes no sense since both transmit. Placed a couple breakfast orders this morning. I asked for a medium rare steak- it was overcooked. The vegetable omelette was meh but what was more disappointing was that they forgot to add pancakes to the one of the orders. I live about 25 minutes away so I wasn't going back and pick them up. This place used to be good. It has seen way better days. Used to come here a lot in the past with my grandma and bro. Came here a little while ago with a friend for lunch and it was just horrible. Horrible service, I had ordered a country fried steak plate and they ran out of two items from my plate, the biggest one being the white gravy. The waitress did not bother to tell me or ask if I wanted to substitute it for something else. She just brought my plate plain with no gravy and left. When she came back I asked about the gravy and she said they were out and making some would take some time. If I can give a zero star I would and I am also speaking on behalf of my party of 8 people. To begin with, the employees during 1AM shift are so unprofessional, especially the girls by the cash register. One of the female employee used a mic and I quote, "Table of 8! Table of 8!" with an obnoxious tone. This is not a professional way to greet and welcome your customers to there table. As we got sated down, we got a new waitress. The waitress got our order right but the chefs were serving 3 raw t-bone steaks. When we asked for a medium well-done. If only you could imagine, we were already disappointed and grossed out by the way the steak looked. At that point, we were rethinking about just leaving because how horrible the food came out to be when served at the beginning but we gave them a second chance. Therefore, we politely asked the waitress to get all of the steaks recooked. However, the chefs had the audacity to put the same steak that we cut open and served it back. The steaks were dry. Not to mention, the hash browns were all black burnt and it wasn't even closed to crispy brown. Thus, we also had to get it remade and it was dry as well. On top of that, it took the cooks more than 25 minutes to make a half sub and a small salad. They also forgot the 3 gravy biscuits and served a hard boil egg when requested a pouch egg. The clam chowder tasted like it was drench with lemon. Throughout the whole experience, it was just so terrible and we were all distraught with the service. On the bright side, our waitress, Lucrezia was the sweetest and knew that we were all dissatisfied and we can all see she was doing her best. Despite the fact, she went back and forth due to the mistakes that the cooks did. Lastly, when we were paying the bill the cash register and other employees gave really bad attitude during the services. I hope this particular Norms do a better management and to teach their employees how to give a good service. Although, we were all dissatisfied with the service and meal. Where do I start? I've been coming to this Norm's location since I was a kid. One of my nostalgic restaurants. This time around everything was bad. The waitress was lovely. However, the pancakes were extremely burnt and dry. We brought it up to the waitress and she asked the cook for a re-fire. The next batch was even worst. Dry, burnt from the outside, and raw gooey inside. She threw them out. As we were leaving to pay, she said due to the inconvenience she would take out the pancakes from the receipt. I told her no need but she insisted just so we can be happy. The manager Nancy was super rude. She made the waitress grab the pancakes from the trash just to make sure it was not eaten. LIKE ARE YOU SERIOUS? I told her what she did was super rude and inappropriate not only to the employee but to me. For $5 Nancy was tripping... I'm the not "I'll talk to the manager" or "I'm going to call corporate" type but this so called "manager" Nancy really needs to learn proper management and how to conduct herself with employees and customers. It was a simple fix. Either make better pancakes OR refund. Like why are you fussing over something so dumb.
