Great service great food huge salads. The craft cocktails are delicious, and the pizza is great. I come back every time I am in Boise.

North End hip. Nice decor, great window seats for people watching. Food - we ordered three different sandwiches. The roast beef sandwich was good, basic food. The ciabatta was excellent, soft and airy. The Camelsback was spicier then we expected (note-the server handled the exchange graciously and even left the offending sandwich for my son ((hollow legged teenager)) to finish), the calzone was packed with meat. Saw a pizza served and immediately regretted not having ordered one. Question on the bill, we were charged for each item in the calzone- when I pointed that out the server made an adjustment. The pizza was ok. Nothing special. This is the second time I ordered a pizza From this place. The first time the pizza was better . This time the pizza was kinda undercooked. When I got home I put some slices in the oven. That helped a lot. Suggestions ; 1. Cook the pizza longer 2. Lower the prices a little 3. Incredible gluten free pizza. (No clue what the previous reviewer mentioned - but they did mention they recently changed their GF crusts, so maybe we were lucky and got the good stuff!) Their crust actually tastes like dough and isn't the same flat, thin, bland crust most other joints use. I've missed a chewy pizza crust and this nailed it. The different combinations are inventive and fun. We did half and half so we could try a myriad of the options (mostly cuz we couldn't choose). We'd order every single one again. Bonus - Whatever Spotify channel they have streaming is stellar. It's rare to be in a restaurant where the music is spot on. Highly recommend! read more

My rating would be more like 3.5 stars if that was an option. We ordered 3 x 12" pizzas for takeout on a Saturday evening. They arrived hot and fresh (as they should since we live less than a mile away). The G Willikers (pepperoni) and john's green and gold were delicious. Generous toppings and lots of flavor and great chewy crust. The Washington Elementary pizza was pretty average though. The sausage is very spicy which is fine, but it had a very processed look, texture and taste to it. It was like the little balls of sausage that come on frozen pizzas in the grocery store. I expected pieces of ground sausage but that is not what it is at all. The combination of toppings was also pretty odd and didn't go well together. For an $18, 12" pizza, I would expect fresh pineapple and quality meats. We'll order there again to support our neighborhood small business, but definitely not any pizza with sausage :) read more

This is our favorite pizza place in Boise, hands down. And let me tell you, my husband loves pizza so we have tried it at numerous places. Try the Casa Mexico pizza, you will not be disappointed. It highly satisfies my forever love for anything with chorizo. They have a great variety of unique topping combos! The crust is also amazing, I recommend dipping every last bite into their homemade ranch. As a plus, this place is located in one of my favorite parts of Boise, the North End. The inside has a fun and modern feel, some local brews on tap and a garage that opens in the warmer months. read more

This is is a fun, eclectic establishment with fabulous service. Their happy hour prices are very good but we opted for the full price whiskeys and pizza. All of the whiskeys I sampled were great (but the tasting notes definitely did not match my experience), and our pizza was really nice but I can't give this place 5 stars because they don't list the whiskey and scotch prices in the drink menu. You have to know what you want, the approximate quality, or ask the bartender to price each pour. That's a little pretentious and annoying imo. Come on, at least list the whiskeys in quality or estimated price columns so we know approximate how much a 1-2 oz pour will cost. I may be back, but I opted not to subscribe to the Whiskey Club. read more

It's not that I have forgotten how real crust tastes because I'll still do it sometimes...it's because it is just that good. There are MANY pizza joints around Boise but this is a standout source if pizza is on your mind. Four of us each ordered our own personal size pizza for a late lunch on a Monday, summer afternoon, and it was unanimous amongst us that our pizzas were each superb. They were served to us at perfect temperature, the crust baked just right, with bright, fresh toppings. Crust is chewy in a satisfying way, and not burnt tasting like so many other places around town. The setting is delightful, in the midst of Hyde Park, and open to the sidewalk. We had no annoying flies buzzing due I think to a neat system they were trying out (plastic baggies filled with water suspended from overhead eaves). I have eaten at this place a number of times and have never been disappointed. The location is Convenient and appropriate for a pizza spot. The Price of the food is a tad high, but if you were sharing or eating there in a group it really makes sense. I believe the quality of food matches the price on the menu. And they have no problem doing it half and half specialty pizzas for no extra cost. I would have to say the service is pretty incredible. From the servers, to the bartenders and even the cooks, all of them are incredibly friendly and seemed to be enjoying themselves. I went in last week and had one of the most incredible and yet most embarrassing experiences in a restaurant I have ever had. My girlfriend and I ordered a large half-and-half specialty pizza. We both had two pieces of the pizza and then I reached for my third slice and the entire pizza fell off the pizza stand and onto the floor. I was extremely embarrassed and saddened that more than half my pizza was now destroyed. As I was frantically apologizing for the mess, my waitress quickly came over and said to me that it's OK and will be baking you a new pizza immediately. She was so kind to us and understanding. And even the cooks kind of tease me about it but were very friendly. As is embarrassing as it was, in the end we got a couple extra pieces of pizza, great service, great food, and memory I won't ever forget. This establishment is incredibly welcoming. North End Pizza is located right in the center of the beautiful Hyde Park, not far away from the locally loved Goodie's candy and ice cream shoppe. So don't forget to grab your long boards and hacky-sacks before heading in! In actuality, North End boasts a highly professional atmosphere. It still maintains the aura of "if you're not ordering a craft brew, you're in the wrong place," but you won't find it boasting that kind of ultra-hipster flair that a place like Pie Hole does. You can see it even in their logo sign: PIZZA. NEIGHBORHOOD. They ain't about to mess around. We were greeted by a sign letting us seat ourselves, so we sat up at the bar. Most of the restaurant seating seemed like it was at the bar. There was outside dining, and a solid number of booths all around. The whole space felt dominated by the bar, though. I think you'd be fine bringing your kids with you, but if your kids are younger than twelve, you honestly would probably start to "harsh the vibe." The place has an adult feel. Hard to explain. But outside of all that, how's the pizza? We ordered the "G. Willikers" which claimed to be "Pepperoni, pepperoni, and more pepperoni", as well as "The Nena". The Nena boasts "Salami, goat cheese, red onion, and lemon dressed arugula, on an olive oil base." Apparently part of the sales on this second pizza are designated to go to charity. The waiter in particular sold us on this one, claiming that lemon dressing makes all the difference. Did it? Let's find out: -The G. Willikers- It's pepperoni. Very pepperoni. They weren't lying when they said there was a lot, it seemed like almost twice as much as you might expect from somewhere else. We're talking like, cheese barely visible under the layers of peps. The peps were solidly cooked, not quite crunchy but pretty close. It was hard to really pick up on the cheese and the sauce underneath, and the peps were definitely delivering a kind of "spicy" subtext. The crust was very good. Golden, soft, but firm, and crumbles away in your mouth in that good way. -The Nena- This was the one I ate into first. As soon as I'd had a slice, I went for another. PizzaKen didn't seem nearly as impressed as I was, but I really liked this slice. The lemon dressing and the salami combo'ed into a very nice bitter mixture, while the feta cheese and olive oil served to sweeten it up. The red onions added a crunch and baseline. All around, a very well-designed pizza. Again, the crust was cooked perfectly. -The Verdict- For me, North End Pizza was fantastic. A lot of its best features reminded me of Allegrezza's Orbit Fire down on Vista, which is a good thing. I appreciate most that they are clearly experimenting with their designs, and in my opinion it pays off very well. PizzaKen definitely liked the place, too, but clearly didn't share my enthusiasm. It seems you might either be impressed, or simply satisfied...but I don't think you'll leave disappointed. At a price of just about $20, this is the kind of place you should stop in at during Hyde Park Street Fair, or if you're about to stop at a house show in North End. It's also a good place for a date, especially given that you can follow it up by taking them to Goodie's. Next time you're north of State Street in Boise, hit it up! 4 slices out of 5 read more

We had high hopes for this place...A group of us from work were so excited to try it. The remodel looks good but unfortunately the food and drinks aren't anything special. The pizza was average at best, mostly just a bunch of cheese. I ordered the pomegranate refresher, and it was not good. The waitress wasn't dressed appropriately, she has red bra straps hanging out Lastly, the bathroom toilet looked like it hadn't ever been cleaned, gross. read more

We had the Hyde Park, which is the best pizza we've had ever. Period. The crust was thin, crispy, flavorful, and chewy all at once. It's great bread, the kind that shatters perfectly when you bite into it. All the flavors and textures were beautifully balanced and clean--it's easy to overwhelm pear with gorgonzola or balsamic or for bacon to be cooked badly on a pizza. We had zero complaints about this pie. The place is noisy, no lie, but we'll be back. *Awesome.* read more

Phenomenal pizzas! We ordered the Sun Ray on gluten free crust and added chicken. Wonderful flavor! We also ordered small salads of the house and Greek. These are not small salads and each could probably be shared between three people. Also very good flavor. The kids pizza is 8" and could be shared, at least it could have been between my 9 and 5 year old girls. My only complaint is that it is very loud. Even our server agreed. read more

Friendly service & great location but the rest of it needs some help. First of all, the televisions everywhere are really annoying & distracting. The wait for the pizza was very long. But the worst part was the pizza. So disappointing. We had high hopes but unfortunately what came out was mediocre. The crust, flavor, predictable toppings were all a total bummer. I liked how they named the pizzas after the local businesses & the remodel is fine but they need to get a new dough recipe & possibly a new oven. If they mess up your bill it's on you. And you won't be refunded. The couple we went with covered the bill. The total was $37.00. The couple was given the wrong bill of SIXTY ($60.00) which is what was charged to their card. They haven't gotten a refund. Crazy unprofessional.
