My dad made these for me as a kid and anytime I see them in the wild, I have to try it. The bierocks made were just ok. The pastry is great, but the filling was a little bland and way too heavy on the cabbage. But what the bierocks lacked, the donuts made up for by a million! We ordered a cruller, maple, glazed, old-fashioned, a glazed twist, and a chocolate cake doughnut. Just based off our order, you can tell there were no children with us, lol. The cruller donut was perfection. Airy and super soft with it almost melting in your mouth before the first bite. The old-fashioned donut (which are my favorite) was incredible! It was surprisingly light, for a cake doughnut, and had a thick layer of maple glaze. I think the layer was about an eighth of an inch, which for icing is bonkers. Even Peter North himself would be humbled by this glazing technique. Is this the most unassuming donut shop in all of the land? Maybe not the land, but at least in Clovis. Live in the area and love donuts? Get here now!

The selection is solid and the display case looks amazing when you walk in. Hard to choose. I ended up with a couple things and had zero regrets about any of it. Opens at 7am which is great, and its in Clovis so easy to get to from most parts of the Fresno area. The space is cute and the staff was friendly and helpful when I had questions about ingredients. If you eat gluten free or know someone who does, this place is a genuine find. Not a compromise, actual good food that just happens to be GF.

There were no excuses, no defensiveness, just a genuine desire to make things right. I told them I would eventually come back and give them another opportunity because everyone deserves a chance to improve. I'm glad I did. We stopped in on a Wednesday around 5:30 p.m., and the difference was immediately noticeable. The staff was welcoming from the moment we walked in. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and efficient without making us feel rushed. The entire visit felt smoother and more polished than my first experience. The tiramisu was the highlight of the visit. It had the classic flavors I was hoping for, with a nice balance of coffee, mascarpone, and cocoa that didn't lean overly sweet. It tasted authentic, and that's not always easy to find around Clovis. It was the kind of dessert that reminded me why tiramisu has become such a timeless favorite. We also tried the red velvet cake. While it wasn't my personal favorite item, it was still enjoyable. The cake was moist, the frosting was well done, and I can absolutely see why it would be someone else's go-to order. Not every dessert has to be your favorite to recognize that it's made well. I think it's important to update reviews when businesses put in the effort to improve. Too often, people only come back to leave another negative review, but rarely return to acknowledge positive change. Spirit Made Cakes earned that recognition from me. I'm happy to say they've won me back as a customer. It takes humility to listen, commitment to improve, and consistency to change someone's opinion. Some other items like basic berry tarts are too expensive for its size to be honest, if you compare it with Whole Foods tarts which is always fresh again. One disappointment I had with this business was when I picked up cake for the birthday for around $55 but we couldn't eat it at all cause it's tasting all either cheaper end butter or margarine, though the packaging was very fancy. Service wise since never dined in cant say anything, but young girls at front always been helpful and patient.

Some bites you just get the dough. First time having their steam chicken buns and was surprised to see that it was sliced chicken with veggies and a slice boiled egg. This was not it for me. It was like eating a stir fry in a bun. Though this bun was bigger and more portioned than the steam pork buns. This was also my first time trying their Shumai dumplings. The flavor was there. A nice umami flavor. But I was missing the bouncy texture of the meat. And for 4 for 7.00 they were pretty small (compared to the dim sum places). I am extremely upset with an employee at this location. My friend went in to pick up some cupcakes and the older lady behind the counter looked at her and said oh I don't like your kind and walked away from her. Excuse me?! You work in customer service. You don't treat people like that especially people of other races! If this company is ok with racist people working behind their counters and fine with them talking to customers this way I will not be purchasing from them again! I would suggest to the company to have a meeting with their employees about customer service and treating ALL people the same! read more

I had such a great experience at Nothing Bundt Cakes! I showed up right at 7:00 PM just as the lights were turning off, and I asked if it was too late. One of the employees was so kind and said, "Please come in." Everyone was incredibly awesome, helped me with what I needed, and even took the time to help me use my rewards.
