Bullard donuts and bakery has been on my list since I was told they sell bierocks. Bierocks are an eastern European pastry filled with savory items like cabbage, ground beef, and onion. My dad made these for me as a kid and anytime I see them in the wild, I have to try it. The bierocks made were just ok. The pastry is great, but the filling was a little bland and way too heavy on the cabbage. But what the bierocks lacked, the donuts made up for by a million! We ordered a cruller, maple, glazed, old-fashioned, a glazed twist, and a chocolate cake doughnut. Just based off our order, you can tell there were no children with us, lol. The cruller donut was perfection. Airy and super soft with it almost melting in your mouth before the first bite. The old-fashioned donut (which are my favorite) was incredible! It was surprisingly light, for a cake doughnut, and had a thick layer of maple glaze. I think the layer was about an eighth of an inch, which for icing is bonkers. Even Peter North himself would be humbled by this glazing technique. Is this the most unassuming donut shop in all of the land? Maybe not the land, but at least in Clovis. Another bakery, the donuts were average. The price was average. I had picked up a maple bar, stuffed chocolate chip donut, and a bierrock. They were all very tasty but the thing is, there was nothing that stood out. I believe that a place needs to stand out. Donuts were average. The bierrock was full of beef and cabbage and it was a good size. I would love for this place to wow me but I can't say that. I'll come here if I just need a quick donut fix. read more

I'm a 15 year old who goes to Clovis High, the donut I had was nice, it was the long dark ones. Waited almost 1 1/2 hour for my ride to get here lol. Lady was nice she let me stay. Very quiet except for the fridges. Ate my donut scrolled on TikTok went shopping spree on my phone went all good . Sadly the quality seems to have dropped. The doughnuts are dry and lacking flavor in the recent months. Also I've noticed that the apple fritter has been a bit too greasy lately. This is a cute little family-owned donut shop with coffee, croissants, bierocks, & donuts. What I most enjoy about coming here is the genuine hospitality of the staff. On my most recent visit, the lady packed up a free donut for my order. I am not a meat-eater but the two people I gave the bierocks to told me that they were soft and warm. The donut was fresh and sweet but not too sweet and not too greasy, especially for a Saturday afternoon (when most of the donuts have usually been purchased at local shops). They are closed Sundays but otherwise, they open at 4:30am 6 days per week which is a huge bonus for people who work early like I do. The donuts are nothing fancy but I would definitely go here for the excellent customer service and good quality of the products they sell. read more

Just moved to this part of town and I am so glad this donut shop is here! The real test for a donut shop is how they make the standard glazed yeast donut. Their glazed donuts have excellent fluffiness and softness (as a result of not kneading the dough too much and getting a proper rise out of the yeast in the dough by allowing it to "prove" long enough). Me and my two coworkers aren't really guys who look like they've missed a meal, and we sure haven't said no to a donut before either. So when we say that these are the best damn donuts that any of us have ever had, it comes from experience. Now my favorite donut has always been Apple Fritters and this shop has basically ruined the chances of me ever getting one anywhere else. They are fluffy, not oily, and just made to perfection. All of their donuts are. I'm not sure if they have some secret ingredient for their dough or if they just prepare it with magic hands, but they get all of their donuts so airy and cooked just right. I usually only get glazed doughnuts, so that is what I tried here and I was impressed by the quality of the doughnut. It was a large donut with a fluffy inside, and a crisp glazed outside. Flavor-wise, it was better than most places I can think of. The cool thing about this place is that they have a large variety of goods, such as bierocks, cinnamon rolls, bear claws, crescents (ham & cheese too), danishes, and even Mexican baked goods like empanadas, conchas, etc. Also, the prices are fair, where donuts usually range from $0.80 to $1.25. The only thing I didn't enjoy too much was the plain black coffee, which seemed to be from a particular branded machine. So, it wasn't as good as other donut shops that brew their own coffee. This place, hands down, has the best service there is. I, being late to the party, just found this place when my usual place was ridiculously busy. The first time I went was a Friday morning and was very popular, especially with the Clovis High crowd. I ordered 2 dozen of the "fancy" donuts (bars, twists, etc) and paid 17 dollars, which is a great deal. The employees are 2 parents and their son and all of them are super sweet. The next day I took my husband and they recognized me from the previous day and thanked me for bringing my husband. I went for a 3rd time today and once again they were friendly, fast, and had great service despite it being busy! The donuts are flavorful and super fresh. They don't have the crazy new fad donuts and that is fine with me. They do have a great variety and they also have pan for those of you who enjoy Mexican bread. One other thing that I did try was their beerocks, which were huge and tasty. I would highly recommend this great little place for all your donut needs. My family and I have been here many times. Hands down best service and products in town. Give them a little heads up and they will custom make anything, including sandwiches. Nice variety of Mexican pastries. FYI, mom comes in super early so that she can make extra donuts for the high school kids. Sells them super cheap to the kids! Thinks every kid should have some kind of a snack after school. She is an elderly lady who just thinks that this is her mission. I have had donuts from Bullard Donut and Bakery several times but went into the shop for the first time on Wednesday morning. The store front is easy to find and was not overly busy for 8 in the morning. I brought my friends that came from France because one of them had never had donuts. I knew this is where I had to take them. I love all the classic donuts options. The donuts are so full and delicous! i can't wait to go back and try more. They also have Bierocks, I am exctited to go back and try them another time. Also the customer service!! It is amazing!! I plan to make this my go to donut shop. I am a flight attendant. My passengers wanted donuts for our flight out of Fresno. I called the night prior to confirm they would be open at 6am and if I could come in and get 2 dozen donuts. The woman I spoke with was Chinese. She said it would be no problem. I showed up the next day at 6am to find 2 dozen donuts waiting for me. They were just made and smelled so good. The same woman was working that answered my call the night prior. No credit card was needed and no name was asked for. My passengers loved the donuts.
