I have a total love hate relationship with Nourish. It's my go to spot and it always hits the spot, so yes, I love it. The only "hate" part is that it's gotten so popular that I can't always snag my favorite seat anymore . The vibe is always great. I've been coming here for years and they never disappoint. The food is consistently delicious and the quality has stayed solid. Just a heads up for first timers, it's a small space so on busy days you might be seated pretty close to others. Service is always good. Some servers are more chatty and personable, but everyone is kind and helpful. Still one of my favorite spots

Such a cute spot! Everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented. We started with the Chicken Satay and the Roti Massamun which came with a rich, flavorful curry sauce. The Soft Shell Crab Mango Salad was so good , crispy crab paired with mango. For mains, my favorites were the Pad Thai Ninja (loved the BBQ roasted pork twist!) and the Gaolao Nuer beef soup - spicy, hearty, and full of depth. Very flavorful, def need to eat with rice. The Pad Se-Ew was also delicious. Dessert was a first for me , the Kanom Tuay, a pandan coconut pudding that was so light and creamy For drinks we had the Spicy Sahara and Green Waterfall, both very refreshing. Service was fast and friendly. I'll definitely be back!

Pad Kee Mao ($20) - This noodle dish was the best mix of spicy and savory. I loved how they loaded it with protein and veggies.

Came here with a group of 9 and got seats pretty quickly in the back room, tried a bunch of dishes and i recommend the chive pancakes and pad thai with shrimp, other items like the soup and duck are skippable. Super friendly staff :)

Was in Brooklyn for an event and part of our NY trip recently. We were taken to Nourish for dinner and had reservations. When we arrived, our table was ready...there was six of us and we were sat at a large table by the window. It was a bit tight getting in but once we sat we were comfortable and eager to eat! This is one of my granddaughter's favorite places and she was excited to have us eat there. Most of us were familiar with Thai and knew pretty much what we wanted. A couple of our group were not and were scared to try anything so we were successful in getting them order the chicken satay and some white rice. They were happy although one of them did try a few of the other dishes we got. Granddaughter wanted the Chive Pancake, which were so different from what I've had previously and their version of a Green Onion Pancake. Overall everything was so good and flavorful and we were happy!

This has to be the cutest Thai spot I've visited in a long time. Quality service, friendly staff, beautiful floral decor, and everything you need for a romantic or casual dinner. Next, shoutout to Nookie our waitress for providing quality recommendations for every dish selected. She was very hospitable and attentive and cared for our table from start to finish. Starters: We ordered curry puffs and fried calamari (not pictured) for the table. The curry puffs were DIVINE! A buttery crust stuffed with flavorful spices. This dish was a winner on its own but once paired with the sauce on the side, a magical experience happened with my tastebuds. The fried calamari was also a hit, a little chewy for me, but the batter was well seasoned and the calamari was fresh! Very delicious Main entree: I ordered the Kao Obb Mor Din and I have to say that this dish was SCRUMPTIOUS! A hearty serving, which I didn't finish, packed with flavors which blended together perfectly. They were very generous with the serving of shrimp, chicken, and Chinese sausage and neither overpowered the other. The flavors stood out well on its own and meshed together for culinary perfection. My entire family enjoyed their meals so it's fair to say that this place is a hit for consistency in flavor. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone and cannot wait to return!

Nourish truly nourished my soul This place slaps. We got there around 7:30 on a Tuesday, waited 15 minutes, and they gave us a patio table to sip drinks while we waited. Soon after, we were seated inside and ordered the Pad Thai with roasted duck and the Salmon Prig Khing. The food came out fast and was so good. The Pad Thai was DELISH--$25 with eight slices of duck? yes pls. Low spice, high flavor. I'm sure it could've been more spicy if we asked tho. The Salmon was super flavorful too, and the crispy skin was perf. Staff were amazinggg--super helpful with my tree nut and coconut allergies, and luckily, no modifications needed. Inside, the ambiance is nice. Acoustics aren't perfect, but we could chat just fine. Overall, I lurv Nourish. Great food, great vibes, and reasonably priced for Brooklyn.

The flatbread had both a sweet and savory flavor to it. The chick la brick was both delicious and filling. Everything was very well cooked and served pretty promptly. The food was very flavourful and well seasoned. The mexican chocolate decadence dessert was very decadent indeed. Creamy rich and very fulfilling. I almost asked for a glass of milk to accompany it because of the richness. Well done Nourish. We'll done.

Just discovered the delightful flavors of Thai cuisine at this cozy spot! The comforting beef soup is tender, perfectly spiced, and warms the soul. The green curry duck is rich and flavorful -- definitely a game-changer. And don't miss their vibrant salads -- fresh, refreshing, and as beautiful as they are delicious. If you're a Thai food lover, this place is an absolute must-try! Follow me @foodie.elite on IG and TikTok for more good food and events!

Let me tell you - Thai food is my favorite and this place really takes the cake. We visited with family that lives in Brooklyn, and it was so good I had to get a dish to go before we left town! The restaurant is super cute inside, small as many are in the area, but lively with all tables filled and a small bar in the back. The service was good - we always had what we needed and food came quick. We ordered an array of appetizers, salads, and entrees and each one was delicious. I had the drunken noodles and they were outstanding - definitely in my top 3 of all time. Can't wait to come back on my next trip!

Spicy, Sweet, and Full of Flavor at @nourishthai. Love this place ! The crispy duck has perfectly crispy skin, super tender meat with sweet-savory sauce. I wasn't expecting to love it this much. Golden-fried soft shell crab sits atop a refreshing bed of mango salad is the perfect balance of crunchy, zesty, sweet, and savory. What we ordered : - Salmon Prig Khing - Ped Lard Prik (crispy duck) - Eggplant Basil with Shrimp - Soft Shell Crab Mango Salad - Pla Tod Samunpai (Fried whole Branzino) - Fried Tofu (Appetizer) - Dessert : * Watermelon & Sweet Dried Fish * Chocolate Lava Cake

    Vegetable Pad thai

I usually love this place And I recommend it to everyone. But today I order an vegetables pad thai, and taste horrible,"very fishy" , not pleasant at all. I leaving a bad review because I called and asked if this have fish sauce or something fishy flavor and the lady who answers the phone said Yes and hang up on me . I just wanted to order and other one without the sauce. To bad

During our visit from the West Coast, my daughter--who goes to university here--kept bragging about the best Thai food in town, so we had to check it out. The place was small and cosy, with extra seating in the back. We ordered crispy spring rolls, calamari, green curry, and a couple of other dishes. Wow! The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and the service was fantastic. The drinks were excellent too--though a bit small for my taste, they were definitely flavourful. I'd absolutely go again!

Loved that every table had fresh flowers; you can tell they really care about the little details. We ordered quite a bit and honestly, everything was on point: · Lychee Thai Iced Tea & Yuzu Pop - both refreshing and not too sweet (huge plus for me since I don't have a big sweet tooth). · Moo Ping - solid start to the meal. · Salmon Mango (GF) - the salmon was cooked through (which I asked for), and the mango salad underneath was light and tangy. The sweet fruit with the savory fish worked way better than I expected. · Pineapple Fried Rice - came with shrimp, nice wok aroma, and that perfect sweet-tangy pineapple kick. · Pineapple Lychee Crispy Duck (GF) - duck skin was nice and crispy, and the coconut-based sauce with lychee and pineapple kept it from feeling heavy or greasy. · Branzino Chili Lime (GF) - came out piping hot, classic Thai-style sour broth that paired perfectly with the fish. No fishy taste at all, and the texture was tender. Even the drinks and dessert weren't overly sweet, which was a pleasant surprise. Lunch in Brooklyn during in-between meetings of my professional duties of a Wednesday afternoon…read moresummons Thai cuisine. Pad Kee Mao (aka Drunken Noodles), chicken $15.00 Stir-fried flat rice noodle, bamboo shoots, garlic, basil, fresh chili, onion, carrot, string bean, bell pepper, long hot chili The flat rice noodle quantity was sufficient, but minimal and there were too much onion, insufficient string bean, two paucity pieces of carrot. I dislike bamboo shoot which is not a standard ingredient for this particular entrée. I think the bamboo shoot tainted this entrée. I am a traditionalist conservative which bean sprouts is a good substitute variation for bamboo shoot vegetable including string bean. This entrée is my favorite default and as a caveat, if any Thai restaurant or cafe do not offer on their menu I refuse entry to patronize. This entrée enticed my interest and embedded the lunch meal menu for the reasonable price. I personally despise and do not consume spicy hot foods, but occasionally consume mild or very mild in the smallest measurement of the Scoville scale which I specifically requested, but received medium hot spicy. The waitress forewarned me the intense heat level on the Scoville scale as Thai cultural spicy with two or more bird's eye chilies for a high level of spiciness. The spiciness of chili peppers were, in my opinion, medium spicy. Despite the intense medium heat spiciness, the stir-fried noodles lacked flavor with, tender chicken, minimal vegetables, and Thai basil in a bland taste. I wish I chosen shrimp as the protein. Pad Kee Mao sustained my hunger pangs and ate my fill. When eating Thai intense heat spicy foods, I visualize to think of the TV segment "Niall Horan & James Corden Take On Hot Wings" on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in March, 2020. High heat spicy foods! Thai ice tea, large $3.00 This was a delight and neutralized the heat spiciness because it contains milk. It was served chilled in a large highball glass. Samyan is a Thai cafe located in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, NYC and accessible via MTA NYC Transit C local train at Clinton-Washington subway station. This cafe is a independently owned and operated, thankfully. The waitress did check-in with me during my meal for attentive customer service. The atmospheric conditions were a simple small dine-in cafe. There were many paintings, portraits hanging on their walls of white subway tiles. Gold metallic metal chopsticks and fork are provided. If utensils are gold then the interior cafe should contain these "gaudy" feature extensive gold elements, including gilded moldings and furniture. Peony rose are very simply and made pretty table centerpiece decorations. Takeout menu and business cards are available for grabs. I did received my sales receipt. At the bottom of the sales receipt there is a suggested gratuity in intervals of 18%, 20% and 22% where customers do not have to perform math calculation. I paid $23.00 in cash as the waitress' informative knowledge of the ingredients and preparation of the heat level on the Scoville scale.

Where can I even start with this restaurant…read more.. My girlfriend picked this spot to end our date night, and boy did she choose a gem. From the initial hospitality, to the last bite, everything was a 10 out of 10, and I say that sparingly when dining out. For the drinks we went with a Thai Iced Tea and Key Lime Thai Iced Tea. The Thai Iced Tea was amazing, though a tad sweeter than what we were used to. Nonetheless it was still a great palette cleanser in between dishes. Now that Key Lime Thai Iced Tea was DIFFERENT. Upon sipping, you get hit with a nice tart sweetness from the key lime that is met immediately with the smooth creaminess from the Thai iced tea. The combination worked so perfectly I had to force myself to not finish the drink before the dishes arrived to the table. 10/10, I don't want to drink another drink again if it's not that one. For starters we had the Chicken Curry Puffs and Calamari. The curry puffs were perfectly fluffy with the nice earthy, sour, spicy, sweet umami flavor of the curry filling, which they did not skimp on. The Calamari was also perfectly crispy and salted, and went really well with the peanut tamarind sauce that came with it. 10/10 For the main courses we ordered the Tom Yum Crab Fried Rice, Braised Spicy Basil Duck, and Spicy Holic Noodle. Firstly, the portions were massive. For perspective, I'm 6'2 230lbs and can eat a good amount, but even after sharing each dish with my girlfriend the plates looked barely eaten. We did not complain about having leftovers though. The Tom Yum Crab Fried Rice came with a massive pile of lumped crab meat, which was probably the most crab I've ever received for this dish from other restaurants. The dish was well-balanced and provided a nice sourness that was unexpected but tasty. 9.5/10 only because I wish it was a tad spicier from the Tom Yum spices. The Braised Basil Duck was probably my favorite dish of the night. The duck was juicy and tender and still had a little crisp on the skin despite being covered in spicy basil sauce. The dish was also very balanced and had a great helping of duck and bell peppers, which added great texture and soaked up all of that sauce. 10/10 The final dish, Spicy Holic Noodles, was also a favorite of mine. The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the thin rice noodles soaked up all of the spicy sauce and added a nice chewy texture to the dish. The string beans were also nice and crunchy and added more playfulness to the texture of the dish. 10/10 This is definitely a great spot for date nights, gatherings with friends, or even a solo date. The space is intimate, but not too overwhelming for people who aren't fond of large crowds. I'll definitely be back and would recommend everyone visit at least once.

This is definitely depends highly on the fact of what time and day you to Holic Thai Bistro. Here for a good time to chat but in a chill environment . I would lunch special hours and the beginning of the evenings are your best bet. Otherwise you're here with the party crowd. But looks like all good vibez only, Please. Let's get to the food. First off the most delicious group of appetizers. I wished their potions size were more decent. It's pricey for what is offered. Since curries are my favorite I tired those entrees first. Love the masala and green. Like them so tried with different types of proteins. My only draw back to this place or gets too rowdy at times. Also the place is too small . They need to expand so there more movement around. I would come back during the lunch hours to try the noodles and rice. I've seen come out to the kitchen is pretty tempting. If you want to socialize mingle with the crowds of the locals come after 6pm.

I'd never managed to get a reservation at Ugly Baby, but we did make it to Hungry Thirsty and I'm…read morevery glad we did. Service was excellent from the start. My partner was running late, and even though the place is clearly very popular right now, they still accommodated us with a table. The staff explained every unfamiliar dish we asked about, always with a smile. I usually avoid the standard NYC Thai restaurant lineup of pad thai + generic curry situations and look for places that feel more regional and authentic. The menu here had a bunch of dishes I didn't recognize, which immediately made me excited. They even have a spice guide though the icons don't necessarily mean increasing spice levels. As I understood it, different symbols represent different types of heat. Three chili emojis and three meteor emojis may be equally spicy, but they hit differently. They recommended not to order the pad krapow nuer, and honestly, fair enough. Instead, we got the chicken khao soi, which was far better than versions I've had elsewhere - deeply flavorful, spicy, rich with umami. My partner was crying. I, meanwhile, was at "this is perfect and I'm having a great time." One Huge chunk of chicken cooked exactly right. Mix everything thoroughly before eating. Then came the kua kling which arrived with another warning. That dish became my personal challenge to impress the server, and apparently I succeeded because now they've promised that next time they won't discourage me from ordering the nuer. They kept refilling cabbage and cucumber for us to cool down from the heat. The kua kling itself was incredible. That dry curry heat was everything. It builds slowly, then suddenly punches you in the face - but alongside all that spice is an insane amount of flavor. They also recommended to order a non-spicy side dish to have a balanced meal and spice level, but we skipped it because it would've been too much food. Honestly, this is the kind of place where going with at least four people is ideal so you can try more dishes and balance the spice levels. And if you're unsure what to order, trust the servers - their recommendations were spot on. Also: really great ciders and beers. We were really happy with both choices. Overall, even though it's far from the city for me, I'd absolutely go back.

Newsflash: Ugly Baby is back on its bullshit. Ugly Baby's…read moreconceit, if you can call it that, was that it was really, really spicy. Spicy food, in case you didn't know, connotes authenticity. Call it suffering for beauty, in a culinary wrapper. Ugly Baby took this S&M theater to its logical conclusion in all regards: tuck it in an inaccessible corner of South Brooklyn; use tiny chairs and brusquely inform diners they have an hour start to finish at their table. The more inconvenient it was, the better. I held my applause after my single visit to Ugly Baby, which closed amidst wails and lamentation last year from people who liked rough treatment. But something drew me back to this reincarnation, started by the same people. Maybe, I thought, they'd found a way to bring us that magnetic authenticity, and hold the ball gags and chain flails? The answer is no. I should have known from the name alone: another mysterious two-word phrase (both of whose words again end in -y) that sounds like it could be an overly literal translation of some ineffable Thai concept. I should have known when it opened in the same godforsaken corner of ... what is that? Gowanus? I should have known from the protracted negotiations for a suitable table that followed when my husband, mom and I arrived punctually for our 5:30 reservation and were primly informed we'd be squeezing onto a two top, then were refused an obviously empty three-top ("it's reserved"....oh you mean by a party of three with a reservation like us?), and then grudgingly seated at a four-top, half of which was literally in the kitchen. I should have known after being apprised that "you have one hour at the table." I should have known when there were no appetizers or desserts, and only two vegetarian entrees. This is the same thing as before. We're so back, baby. The mushroom curry, with its single fire emoj, was nowhere near the spiciest thing on the menu, but gosh was it still spicy. How do they make food with such complex flavors that's still hot enough to have emanated from the bowels of hell? It has to be one of the best curries I've had. It's a talent, special even, but it could easily coexist without Hungry Thirsty's other downsides. But I think all those inconveniences and discomforts are the point. They serve to reinforce the specialness of the special parts, counterintuitively increasing your mental investment in internally extolling Hungry Thirsty's virtues. They are to each element what spice is to food: it hurts, and you're proud that it hurts. It all adds up to the second coming of Ugly Baby, and why wouldn't it? Enough people liked being slapped around; maybe they felt like they deserved it. You know if that's you or not.

Wait staff was attentive to dietary needs, exemptions and ensured our request was followed to a T. Ordered some Khao Kriab Pak Mor (dumplings) to start along with a pair of mocktails. And an order of Khao Na Ped (smoked vegan duck) and Ginger Chicken (vegan). All served well with good portion. What I personally liked is the 2 dishes took a bit, not slow or long but IMHO taking a little bit always seems it was cared for in prep. Who knows just my thing. The staff has a challenge to accommodate outdoor seating as the bldg doesn't have an inside/back door for them and they must carry food out the front door, down the sidewalk and into the garden area. That's tough but they do it with grace. The seating was okay since it's early enough but bugs showed up - no surprise - not a complaint just the reality of life and online typing in case anyone is considering it and is more sensitive to the same.
