I found my favorite thai spot in NYC. They do all the classics right from pad thai, curry puffs, tom yum soup, to spring rolls. But some of the less well-known dishes are amazing and offer variety from the usual. My absolute favorite dish at Nourish is the bamee moo dang bbq pork. I haven't tried their desserts but the Thai Ice Tea was also perfect. not too sweet and authentic tasting (just like the type I tried in Bangkok). most places westernize the thai ice tea and load it with too much sugar. Easy way to know if a place is good or not. The restaurant is super cute. I've sat inside and outside. Nice ambiance and aesthetic. Last but not least is their A M A Z I N G service. Our last waitress, Nana, was so friendly and attentive. She recommended the bamee moo dang and massaman curry which my wife and I absolutely love and will try again. The service is great very accommodating and nice and this place also does delivery and take out. On a bustling Friday night. We were seated right away! We started with a Thai salad and a coconut based soup that was so rich and delicious. The salad came with a peanut base dressing that was flavorful. Then we moved on to curry puffs. I seafood special of the day and some super crispy duck over wide flat noodles. The curry puffs had a nice crunch with a sweet curry inside and the duck was so crispy it was cooked to perfection. This place has some of the best thai food in Brooklyn with amazing drinks to match! It's a tiny spot so be sure to make a reservation and be on time! It's located on Vanderbilt which means there are tons of nearby bars, coffee shops and dessert places for before/after your meal here. The chive pancakes were crispy on the outside, warm on the inside, and super tasty. The serving was really generous as well and it was perfect for the 3 of us to share. The Kee Mao noodles were amazing! For all my drunken noodle peeps out there, these were top notch. Just the right amount of spice. The fried rice was amazing!! I love that it had so many different proteins and the sausage was exceptionally good. I'm not a huge sausage fan but it was a great addition in this dish! Again, the serving sizes were generous for the entrees. Two entrees were perfect to split between the three of us. The mango stickyrice was good but i wouldn't necessarily go back for it. I've had better. There are ice cream shops/bake shops nearby that i would probably go to for dessert next time instead. The service could have been better as well - you could tell they were trying to rush us out which wasn't the best feeling. Enjoyed my experience at Nourish. The service and ambiance of this place are off the charts - can't say enough amazing things about that! Was my first time eating here, but is my friend's go-to for takeout and dining in. I tried the BBQ Buns Appetizer, Thai Tea, and Red Curry. The BBQ buns were soft, sweet, flavorful in all the right ways, and delicious. I could have eaten them forever! The Thai Tea was tasty as well, definitely on the more savory side, though you can always add sweetener if that's your thing. The red curry I got on a Medium and was a little too mild / not as flavorful as the other dishes for me, but I think that could be fixed by ordering it Spicy. Since it was my first time, I wasn't ballsy enough to choose that off the bat haha. Will surely visit again! read more

We were going to an event at a bookstore nearby and decided to have dinner beforehand and Nourish looked like a nice place and was conveniently right across the street. It has a small but cute dining room with mostly two-tops and a huge flower decor hanging from the ceiling and front sliding windows that can be fully opened. There is also a quite permanent looking covered outdoor section on the sidewalk in front. They still have paper menus if you want otherwise can scan a code for contactless ordering. We were in a bit of a hurry but it all worked out because the food came really quickly. We had three appetizers - the fried fish cakes were super delicious - and three entrees - one from the special menu, sautéed shrimps in an edible crispy basket - the food was just perfect for 4 people. Everything's delicious and mildly spicy with just the right amount of heat. This will be a good place to return to next time we are in the area. read more

My friend highly recommended this place for the mango sticky rice, so we had to try it. They had ran out for the night when we arrived but they helped our dreams come true by running out to get some mangoes. This mango sticky rice was the tastiest I've ever had. First the mangoes were really sweet but not overly sweet. Second the rice was this nice blue color mixed with a lot of condensed milk. It was surprisingly soft and mushy for sticky rice, but still had the same chewy texture. Not sure what makes it blue but I could eat a whole bowl of it by itself. The decor here was also very cute. I am usually at work midday so stopping anywhere for a sit down lunch is always a treat. After my husband and I visited the Brooklyn Public Library's HOV exhibit (highly recommend) we decided to grab a little lunch and we found Nourish's lunch special. Now I love a little lunch special because I never get to have one! (I work in health care). The interior is very nice, filled with flowers and attentive and quick service. I am a Thai food fan so I was immediately okay with eating here. There seemed to be a nice midday crowd of people either visiting with family or eating alone. We obviously got the lunch special I went with the house salad, spring roll, and green curry. All 3 were tasty, in the sort of way that most Thai restaurants have mastered these dishes in the city. I'm sure if we had ventured beyond the lunch special menu we might have had a more defined dish. The surprising standout here were the cocktails. So many great flavors!!! I went with the guava sake cocktail - guava is one of my top 3 flavors. Sadly, we were not able to grab another cocktail (and there were many I wanted to try), so we will be back! read more

Thai food is not my go-to but when my Thai food-loving co-worker suggested an early dinner and hopefully with drinks, I opened up Yelp to see which ones we would pass on our way home. Honestly, I was trying to end up at her favorite Thai spot which I will review at a later time. I decided to try out Nourish because of its recent reviews. We found parking right in front and entered the small restaurant. We were warmly greeted which was absolutely necessary on this chilly evening. The place wasn't crowded so we had our pick of tables to choose from. We snagged one furthest from the door in an attempt to avoid the chill every time one of the delivery left or entered which was about every 10 minutes. After deciding on our food order, we were perused the drink menu which included only mocktails. No lychee martinis for us that night, SMH. The food was OK. I would have preferred more spice in it. The crispy duck was a little to dry for me. My co-worker complained that her noodles were way too salty and she got more squid than shrimp with her entree. The calamari was the shiny star of the meal because though on the salty side it was crispy without being greasy and the sweet chili sauce added the necessary balance. OK food. Great service. Came here on a Friday afternoon for lunch. They have about 4 outdoor tables will umbrellas which was nice since it lightly drizzled. The menu is pretty hefty with lots of options. I ordered from the lunch menu which provides 3 courses: Soup (tofu and mushroom) or salad (with ginger dressing), appetizer (lots of options but I only remember the chicken and shrimp dumplings or spring rolls) and then options of curries, noodles, or stir fries. I went with the salad, dumplings and pad Thai. The salad and dumplings were good and the teriyaki sauce for the dumplings I saved for my entree. The pad Thai definitely wasn't the best I've had but it hit the spot. It was a good size portion and I ended up finishing it as we stayed for a while talking. I also had the passion fruit Bellini ($9) adorned with blueberries and it was very good. If I wasn't new to the city and trying to try as many new places as possible I would return. An appetizer, soup or salad and a main dish for 11 (if you got tofu/veggies) is such a good deal. And this also included delivery! The soup was very delicious, however the rest of it was alright. We were trying to find a dinner place on Vanderbilt on a busy Saturday night, and basically everything had a 2-3 hour wait - except Nourish Thai! Though it was busy, we walked right in for a party of 2 at 7:30 PM, and were taken care of meticulously and served very quickly. We got the butterfly pea drink (beautiful, and tasty too), the massaman curry, and khao soi. Although maybe not the best of either entree we've ever had, it hit the spot and didn't cost a pretty penny as well. Sitting in the back patio is equally enjoyable to sitting out front with outdoor seating! Ordering takeout from here has been a hit or miss though unfortunately - it's been 1 hour late and 30 minutes early, so be prepared to snack in case your food doesn't get here. We were a decent sized group and wanted to sit in the yard, so they took our number and our table was actually ready pretty quickly (about 20 minutes). The place is really nice and modern, and the yard is the real star. Nothing like spicy food in a backyard. The portion sizes were pretty ridiculous as well. I got the spicy half chicken with papaya salad and almost couldn't finish. But I powered through because I'm a champion!
