This place has some of the best thai food in Brooklyn with amazing drinks to match! It's a tiny spot so be sure to make a reservation and be on time! It's located on Vanderbilt which means there are tons of nearby bars, coffee shops and dessert places for before/after your meal here. The chive pancakes were crispy on the outside, warm on the inside, and super tasty. The serving was really generous as well and it was perfect for the 3 of us to share. The Kee Mao noodles were amazing! For all my drunken noodle peeps out there, these were top notch. Just the right amount of spice. The fried rice was amazing!! I love that it had so many different proteins and the sausage was exceptionally good. I'm not a huge sausage fan but it was a great addition in this dish! Again, the serving sizes were generous for the entrees. Two entrees were perfect to split between the three of us. The mango stickyrice was good but i wouldn't necessarily go back for it. I've had better. There are ice cream shops/bake shops nearby that i would probably go to for dessert next time instead. The service could have been better as well - you could tell they were trying to rush us out which wasn't the best feeling. If the food weren't so amazing, i would have given the experience overall 3 stars. If you're looking for delicious Thai food for your next meal out, here's your spot. read more

First thing is that service here was amazing! The staff was attentive, fast, and super friendly. Our appetizers came out before we even ordered our entrees! The drinks were delicious- I opted for a lychee mojito which was soo good. Everything we ate was perfect. Bbq pork buns, veg dumplings, pad see ew, chicken w/ginger sauce. It was all tasty & fresh. This was probably the best Thai food I've had in the city! All of our dishes were out of this world good - big servings with decent prices! We sat outside and it was super cute - in the outdoor cabin we did keep smelling something off, but ultimately the ambience was cute and fun, especially on a nice day! Great neighborhood place. Balanced flavor profiles as you'd expect packed with umami. Seasonal soft shell crab was very good. Preparation could have been a little crispier -was a little soggy. We were going to an event at a bookstore nearby and decided to have dinner beforehand and Nourish looked like a nice place and was conveniently right across the street. It has a small but cute dining room with mostly two-tops and a huge flower decor hanging from the ceiling and front sliding windows that can be fully opened. There is also a quite permanent looking covered outdoor section on the sidewalk in front. They still have paper menus if you want otherwise can scan a code for contactless ordering. We were in a bit of a hurry but it all worked out because the food came really quickly. We had three appetizers - the fried fish cakes were super delicious - and three entrees - one from the special menu, sautéed shrimps in an edible crispy basket - the food was just perfect for 4 people. Everything's delicious and mildly spicy with just the right amount of heat. This will be a good place to return to next time we are in the area. read more

Glad I finally tried this place! All the food looked beautiful even through delivery. Ordered the dumplings, the chicken wings and the panang curry with chicken. The dumplings were well above average. The wings and the curry were excellent. Lots of meat and veggies in the curry and the wings had a nice amount of spice but had a ton of other flavors going on as well. Will def order from here again! read more

Enjoyed my experience at Nourish. The service and ambiance of this place are off the charts - can't say enough amazing things about that! Was my first time eating here, but is my friend's go-to for takeout and dining in. I tried the BBQ Buns Appetizer, Thai Tea, and Red Curry. The BBQ buns were soft, sweet, flavorful in all the right ways, and delicious. I could have eaten them forever! The Thai Tea was tasty as well, definitely on the more savory side, though you can always add sweetener if that's your thing. The red curry I got on a Medium and was a little too mild / not as flavorful as the other dishes for me, but I think that could be fixed by ordering it Spicy. Since it was my first time, I wasn't ballsy enough to choose that off the bat haha. Will surely visit again! read more

My friend highly recommended this place for the mango sticky rice, so we had to try it. They had ran out for the night when we arrived but they helped our dreams come true by running out to get some mangoes. This mango sticky rice was the tastiest I've ever had. First the mangoes were really sweet but not overly sweet. Second the rice was this nice blue color mixed with a lot of condensed milk. It was surprisingly soft and mushy for sticky rice, but still had the same chewy texture. Not sure what makes it blue but I could eat a whole bowl of it by itself. The decor here was also very cute. Each light has a little bird perched on it. Good for a date spot. read more

I have no complaints. A lover of Thai food here and during the pandemic, my husband and I have been looking for ways to expand our palette (did not happen) but find spots that can become our instant faves for different food categories. Nourish came in #1 in our area! No surprise though. Generous with their food and made well. I ordered a noodle soup with curry and egg noodle. With a chicken drumstick. GIRL, I got two chicken drumsticks. And the broth, so rich in the flavor and egg noodles -- egg noodles! So good. My husband got the pad see ew and loved it. Quality food. Great service. I am usually at work midday so stopping anywhere for a sit down lunch is always a treat. After my husband and I visited the Brooklyn Public Library's HOV exhibit (highly recommend) we decided to grab a little lunch and we found Nourish's lunch special. Now I love a little lunch special because I never get to have one! (I work in health care). The interior is very nice, filled with flowers and attentive and quick service. I am a Thai food fan so I was immediately okay with eating here. There seemed to be a nice midday crowd of people either visiting with family or eating alone. We obviously got the lunch special I went with the house salad, spring roll, and green curry. All 3 were tasty, in the sort of way that most Thai restaurants have mastered these dishes in the city. I'm sure if we had ventured beyond the lunch special menu we might have had a more defined dish. The surprising standout here were the cocktails. So many great flavors!!! I went with the guava sake cocktail - guava is one of my top 3 flavors. Sadly, we were not able to grab another cocktail (and there were many I wanted to try), so we will be back! read more

Fantastic food--the mock duck is a dream! I've had it in Nourish's salad as well as in their pad see ew and it hits the mark, as do the spring rolls. Amazing!! We don't come to Brooklyn often being that we're from Westchester county, but every time we come, we must stop by Nourish! Nook is amazing! She's so nice and always makes sure we have everything we need. Additionally, all the other staff are extremely welcoming, we had the chicken pad Thai and the chicken Thai fried rice and both were delicious! The best we've ever had. We ordered for delivery and so happy I did. We ordered the coconut soup with shrimp, this soup is divine. We had the chicken in eggplant and basil with sticky rice, it was exactly what we needed it was juicy, spicy yet sweet and gingery. However, the chicken wings we ordered were tasteless dry and should not be part of this fantastic menu. read more

Me and Thai food have an interesting history. Its a bad one mixed with happy chewing, hurt stomachs, bathroom all-nighters, relief, and one of those epic life long moments when you think to yourself "I will never do that again". Needless to say I was a little Hesitant when coming here. But I was craving noodles. In my ignorance I ordered what I thought would be traditional noodles and instead I got this no-broth, pan-noodle dish with chicken. I'm not picky so i tried it. IT WAS AMAZING. Soft noodles, not over seasoned, grilled chicken w/ a little veggies. It was the perfect simple dish I needed to fill me up before heading out. Now I don't fear Thai food. Thai food is not my go-to but when my Thai food-loving co-worker suggested an early dinner and hopefully with drinks, I opened up Yelp to see which ones we would pass on our way home. Honestly, I was trying to end up at her favorite Thai spot which I will review at a later time. I decided to try out Nourish because of its recent reviews. We found parking right in front and entered the small restaurant. We were warmly greeted which was absolutely necessary on this chilly evening. The place wasn't crowded so we had our pick of tables to choose from. We snagged one furthest from the door in an attempt to avoid the chill every time one of the delivery left or entered which was about every 10 minutes. After deciding on our food order, we were perused the drink menu which included only mocktails. No lychee martinis for us that night, SMH. The food was OK. I would have preferred more spice in it. The crispy duck was a little to dry for me. My co-worker complained that her noodles were way too salty and she got more squid than shrimp with her entree. The calamari was the shiny star of the meal because though on the salty side it was crispy without being greasy and the sweet chili sauce added the necessary balance. OK food. Great service. Came here on a Friday afternoon for lunch. They have about 4 outdoor tables will umbrellas which was nice since it lightly drizzled. The menu is pretty hefty with lots of options. I ordered from the lunch menu which provides 3 courses: Soup (tofu and mushroom) or salad (with ginger dressing), appetizer (lots of options but I only remember the chicken and shrimp dumplings or spring rolls) and then options of curries, noodles, or stir fries. I went with the salad, dumplings and pad Thai. The salad and dumplings were good and the teriyaki sauce for the dumplings I saved for my entree. The pad Thai definitely wasn't the best I've had but it hit the spot. It was a good size portion and I ended up finishing it as we stayed for a while talking. I also had the passion fruit Bellini ($9) adorned with blueberries and it was very good. If I wasn't new to the city and trying to try as many new places as possible I would return. Ps: Service was good and we found an open parking spot about a block away. The B61 (or 69?) stops right in front of it as well. read more

I was feeling Thai for lunch today. Nourish has been on my list of places so decided to go for it. Their lunch special in theory sounded amazing. An appetizer, soup or salad and a main dish for 11 (if you got tofu/veggies) is such a good deal. And this also included delivery! The soup was very delicious, however the rest of it was alright. Was not super impressed with the fried tofu and Kea Moa. The Penang curry was good. Definitely will have to give it another chance. read more

Thailicious Couldn't find a better way to celebrate the Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month then the meal at Nourishthai. I absolutely loved this place. We were trying to find a dinner place on Vanderbilt on a busy Saturday night, and basically everything had a 2-3 hour wait - except Nourish Thai! Though it was busy, we walked right in for a party of 2 at 7:30 PM, and were taken care of meticulously and served very quickly. We got the butterfly pea drink (beautiful, and tasty too), the massaman curry, and khao soi. Although maybe not the best of either entree we've ever had, it hit the spot and didn't cost a pretty penny as well. Sitting in the back patio is equally enjoyable to sitting out front with outdoor seating! Ordering takeout from here has been a hit or miss though unfortunately - it's been 1 hour late and 30 minutes early, so be prepared to snack in case your food doesn't get here. "I like Thai food. It isn't my 1st choice when linking up with friends, but I like it."~~ That's what I use to say before I had the food here.... OMG, I LOVE THAI FOOD! Well at least theirs...lol. So after walking by some many times and actually wanting something besides Cuban, I decided to give this place a try. I figured Thai is Thai...I was oh sooo wrong. I think this places uses crack or something of that nature b/c seriously this is some of the best Thai I have ever had. Now for me I'm pretty simple with my order and may be the wrong person to ask, but if your want curry puffs and Thai fried rice I'm your girl. Curry puffs have just the right amount of curry and chicken..so good. The rice is just sooooo good. I've had some bland needs all the sauces rice before... this rice needs NOTHING. This place has become my 2nd go to when ordering take out. Maybe I'll get something with a noodle to expand my Thai taste buds. read more

Tried to go to one of the more trendy restaurants on Vanderbilt and were turned away, so Nourish was our backup choice. We were a decent sized group and wanted to sit in the yard, so they took our number and our table was actually ready pretty quickly (about 20 minutes). The place is really nice and modern, and the yard is the real star. Nothing like spicy food in a backyard. The portion sizes were pretty ridiculous as well. I got the spicy half chicken with papaya salad and almost couldn't finish. But I powered through because I'm a champion! We had the soft shell crab and spring rolls to start, and they were all delicious as well. Overall a great addition to Vanderbilt! read more

Excellent! Loved eating here. The service was great and the food was superb. We shared steamed dumplings and crispy spring rolls. My friends had drunken noodles and I ate tofu pad thai. The prices were very fair. Their homemade thai iced tea was also very good. I let my friend try some and he decided to get one for himself. I would definitely come back! read more

Pad Kee Mao (aka Drunken Noodles), chicken $15.00 Stir-fried flat rice noodle, bamboo shoots, garlic, basil, fresh chili, onion, carrot, string bean, bell pepper, long hot chili The flat rice noodle quantity was sufficient, but minimal and there were too much onion, insufficient string bean, two paucity pieces of carrot. I dislike bamboo shoot which is not a standard ingredient for this particular entrée. I think the bamboo shoot tainted this entrée. I am a traditionalist conservative which bean sprouts is a good substitute variation for bamboo shoot vegetable including string bean. This entrée is my favorite default and as a caveat, if any Thai restaurant or cafe do not offer on their menu I refuse entry to patronize. This entrée enticed my interest and embedded the lunch meal menu for the reasonable price. I personally despise and do not consume spicy hot foods, but occasionally consume mild or very mild in the smallest measurement of the Scoville scale which I specifically requested, but received medium hot spicy. The waitress forewarned me the intense heat level on the Scoville scale as Thai cultural spicy with two or more bird's eye chilies for a high level of spiciness. The spiciness of chili peppers were, in my opinion, medium spicy. Despite the intense medium heat spiciness, the stir-fried noodles lacked flavor with, tender chicken, minimal vegetables, and Thai basil in a bland taste. I wish I chosen shrimp as the protein. Pad Kee Mao sustained my hunger pangs and ate my fill. When eating Thai intense heat spicy foods, I visualize to think of the TV segment "Niall Horan & James Corden Take On Hot Wings" on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in March, 2020. High heat spicy foods! Thai ice tea, large $3.00 This was a delight and neutralized the heat spiciness because it contains milk. It was served chilled in a large highball glass. Samyan is a Thai cafe located in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, NYC and accessible via MTA NYC Transit C local train at Clinton-Washington subway station. This cafe is a independently owned and operated, thankfully. The waitress did check-in with me during my meal for attentive customer service. The atmospheric conditions were a simple small dine-in cafe. There were many paintings, portraits hanging on their walls of white subway tiles. Gold metallic metal chopsticks and fork are provided. If utensils are gold then the interior cafe should contain these "gaudy" feature extensive gold elements, including gilded moldings and furniture. Peony rose are very simply and made pretty table centerpiece decorations. Takeout menu and business cards are available for grabs. I did received my sales receipt. At the bottom of the sales receipt there is a suggested gratuity in intervals of 18%, 20% and 22% where customers do not have to perform math calculation. I paid $23.00 in cash as the waitress' informative knowledge of the ingredients and preparation of the heat level on the Scoville scale.

From the initial hospitality, to the last bite, everything was a 10 out of 10, and I say that sparingly when dining out. For the drinks we went with a Thai Iced Tea and Key Lime Thai Iced Tea. The Thai Iced Tea was amazing, though a tad sweeter than what we were used to. Nonetheless it was still a great palette cleanser in between dishes. Now that Key Lime Thai Iced Tea was DIFFERENT. Upon sipping, you get hit with a nice tart sweetness from the key lime that is met immediately with the smooth creaminess from the Thai iced tea. The combination worked so perfectly I had to force myself to not finish the drink before the dishes arrived to the table. 10/10, I don't want to drink another drink again if it's not that one. For starters we had the Chicken Curry Puffs and Calamari. The curry puffs were perfectly fluffy with the nice earthy, sour, spicy, sweet umami flavor of the curry filling, which they did not skimp on. The Calamari was also perfectly crispy and salted, and went really well with the peanut tamarind sauce that came with it. 10/10 For the main courses we ordered the Tom Yum Crab Fried Rice, Braised Spicy Basil Duck, and Spicy Holic Noodle. Firstly, the portions were massive. For perspective, I'm 6'2 230lbs and can eat a good amount, but even after sharing each dish with my girlfriend the plates looked barely eaten. We did not complain about having leftovers though. The Tom Yum Crab Fried Rice came with a massive pile of lumped crab meat, which was probably the most crab I've ever received for this dish from other restaurants. The dish was well-balanced and provided a nice sourness that was unexpected but tasty. 9.5/10 only because I wish it was a tad spicier from the Tom Yum spices. The Braised Basil Duck was probably my favorite dish of the night. The duck was juicy and tender and still had a little crisp on the skin despite being covered in spicy basil sauce. The dish was also very balanced and had a great helping of duck and bell peppers, which added great texture and soaked up all of that sauce. 10/10 The final dish, Spicy Holic Noodles, was also a favorite of mine. The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the thin rice noodles soaked up all of the spicy sauce and added a nice chewy texture to the dish. The string beans were also nice and crunchy and added more playfulness to the texture of the dish. 10/10 This is definitely a great spot for date nights, gatherings with friends, or even a solo date. The space is intimate, but not too overwhelming for people who aren't fond of large crowds. I'll definitely be back and would recommend everyone visit at least once.

I usually avoid the standard NYC Thai restaurant lineup of pad thai + generic curry situations and look for places that feel more regional and authentic. The menu here had a bunch of dishes I didn't recognize, which immediately made me excited. They even have a spice guide though the icons don't necessarily mean increasing spice levels. As I understood it, different symbols represent different types of heat. Three chili emojis and three meteor emojis may be equally spicy, but they hit differently. They recommended not to order the pad krapow nuer, and honestly, fair enough. Instead, we got the chicken khao soi, which was far better than versions I've had elsewhere - deeply flavorful, spicy, rich with umami. My partner was crying. I, meanwhile, was at "this is perfect and I'm having a great time." One Huge chunk of chicken cooked exactly right. Mix everything thoroughly before eating. Then came the kua kling which arrived with another warning. That dish became my personal challenge to impress the server, and apparently I succeeded because now they've promised that next time they won't discourage me from ordering the nuer. They kept refilling cabbage and cucumber for us to cool down from the heat. The kua kling itself was incredible. That dry curry heat was everything. It builds slowly, then suddenly punches you in the face - but alongside all that spice is an insane amount of flavor. Ugly Baby took this S&M theater to its logical conclusion in all regards: tuck it in an inaccessible corner of South Brooklyn; use tiny chairs and brusquely inform diners they have an hour start to finish at their table. The more inconvenient it was, the better. I held my applause after my single visit to Ugly Baby, which closed amidst wails and lamentation last year from people who liked rough treatment. But something drew me back to this reincarnation, started by the same people. Maybe, I thought, they'd found a way to bring us that magnetic authenticity, and hold the ball gags and chain flails? The answer is no. I should have known from the name alone: another mysterious two-word phrase (both of whose words again end in -y) that sounds like it could be an overly literal translation of some ineffable Thai concept. I should have known when it opened in the same godforsaken corner of ... what is that? Gowanus? I should have known from the protracted negotiations for a suitable table that followed when my husband, mom and I arrived punctually for our 5:30 reservation and were primly informed we'd be squeezing onto a two top, then were refused an obviously empty three-top ("it's reserved"....oh you mean by a party of three with a reservation like us?), and then grudgingly seated at a four-top, half of which was literally in the kitchen. I should have known after being apprised that "you have one hour at the table." I should have known when there were no appetizers or desserts, and only two vegetarian entrees. This is the same thing as before. We're so back, baby. The mushroom curry, with its single fire emoj, was nowhere near the spiciest thing on the menu, but gosh was it still spicy. How do they make food with such complex flavors that's still hot enough to have emanated from the bowels of hell? It has to be one of the best curries I've had. It's a talent, special even, but it could easily coexist without Hungry Thirsty's other downsides. But I think all those inconveniences and discomforts are the point. They serve to reinforce the specialness of the special parts, counterintuitively increasing your mental investment in internally extolling Hungry Thirsty's virtues. They are to each element what spice is to food: it hurts, and you're proud that it hurts. It all adds up to the second coming of Ugly Baby, and why wouldn't it? Enough people liked being slapped around; maybe they felt like they deserved it. You know if that's you or not.

All of the baked goods were beautiful and looked perfect. If you are in Greenpoint, I would recommend you stop by this bakery. Service: Staff are extremely friendly, pleasant, and welcoming. I was still deciding when it was my turn in line, and all staff members were patient and encouraged me to take my time. Ambiance: The bakery is small with about four counter seats along the window, but there are plenty of tables and chairs set up outside. There's nothing special about the ambiance, but it's a nice place to hang out and enjoy your sandwich or pastry. Overall, I would highly recommend this bakery!
