This was our last stop before heading home from a weekend in Fredericksburg with some friends. The food presentation, portion size, and taste were on point. We had the chicken flautas, huevos rancheros, dynamite shrimp, and tuna stack. Everything was delicious! The server was super sweet and attentive. This is a newer restaurant in Fredericksburg and I definitely recommend it and I did give it 4 stars only due to the limited lunch menu. I didn't feel that I had a ton of options to choose from. I had the fish and chips plate and added fried shrimp. Everything was great. The owner - or so I assumed - was very welcoming and the server checked on us frequently. The ratings are well earned. I had the Cochinita Pibil (seasoned pulled pork with pickled red cabbage - a Mayan influenced dish). It came with rice and beans that were a meal unto themselves. As soon as you walk in this place has the best customer service everybody's so welcoming. The food was definitely top notch. The flavor was incredible for their shrimp tacos and the fried shrimp was delicious. The ambience is amazing. Was in Fredicksburg for Memorial Day weekend on Main Street. Saw this little charming place and decided to give it a try. Walked in, staff was super friendly and sat us right away. My party of three stopped in here for avocado tuna sandwiches. Everything was fresh a yummy. The seedy bread, the veggies all complimented each other. We also ordered chips and salsa that came out freshly fried with a tomatillo salsa. Drank a moscato with all this and we are all very pleased with lunch! read more

After mass at St Mary's, me and my sister enjoyed a late brunch at Nury's. I had the "Hangover omelette" with no jalapeños, and it was delicious! It tasted fresh, the ranchero salsa was yummy and a nice touch covering the omelette . My sister had the chilaquiles with tomatillo sauce and she enjoyed her meal as well. I got the enchiladas and my partner got the cheeseburger - we both agreed that it was really nasty. The corn tortillas were stale, the meat inside was overcooked, the rice was quite literally the worst rice I've ever had with the weirdest flavors. It was pretty much green, but not cilantro or avocado style. I get enchiladas all the time, and I'm really not picky, but it was pretty bad. My partner's burger tasted like it had been cooked on a cheap panini grill - it was really tough and practically burnt on the outside. The fries were probably the only good part about it. Our waitress didn't really attend to us, and her other table that was seated next to us felt the same way, mentioning a few times that they really wanted their drinks. We won't be coming back for dinner, hopefully their breakfast or lunch specials are better. read more

Horrible service. They forced 20% tip as well. The food came an hour after we ordered and was simply mediocre. There were dirty dishes on the table behind us the whole entire time. The server was rude and there were people standing around waiting to be seated the whole time we were there for lunch. Most importantly; the food was bad and overpriced. Do not come here. read more

We just ate lunch here and oh, my goodness! It was delicious! As stated in other reviews, the staff is so nice, the service is stellar, and the food is amazing. My hubby had the shrimp ceviche and he thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the chef salad which was fresh, beautifully presented, and had a delish dressing. The shrimp were huge and very fresh. A new gem on Main Street, from a familiar name. Delicious food, friendly service and great decor. Luis, Nury's husband, took my order. When he realized that I was considering the ceviche but chose another dish instead, he brought me a free ceviche sample just so I didn't miss out on trying both. Primarily Tex-mex but excellent quality . The reception and wait staff excelled.. the location in old Fredicksburg, TX was surrounded by history. Great museum and Admiral Nimitz display . The old hospital is plainly visible across the street - no longer a hospital but a noble reminder of the past . Great food and great location. read more

I'll give Nury's the benefit of the doubt by saying perhaps they were understaffed but it was half empty. It took us 5 mins to get seated. We waited roughly 25 mins for some one from the wait staff to take our order. We flagged a server down but they never came back. We left without ever having someone take our drink order. Discovered that the Nury's empire has grown in F'burg with their new location on Main! Different menu that the one on Washington St or the food truck. We went for lunch; I had the fish & chips, which was a large portion and delicious! Wife had the BLAT sandwich which was the off menu special today. It too was delicious! They're awaiting their beer/wine permit, so beer & wine were on the house today. That didn't make me sad! Before coming to this location, we tried the other building location. There we met the owner--a SUPER nice guy who made personal recommendations on our meals, bringing out his family's salsas and suggesting his favorite meals. At checkout, he recommended we try this location. The food was delicious and it's the perfect location for dinner with someone special if you're spending the day in town. The service was amazing, we didn't have to wait long, and the food was immaculate. Couldn't recommend more! read more

Happened upon this place as most of the other restaurants were closed, and pleasantly surprised!! There were plenty of open tables which kind of threw us off, but the menu looked great. The decor is a little odd - hard to tell what they were going for, but the restaurant is clean and not too loud. I had the Enchiladas Verdes and my wife had the Crab Nachos. The enchiladas were amazing. I ate literally everything off my plate. The verde sauce was some of the best I've ever had. Homemade tortilla chips were crispy and delicious. My wife loved the crab nachos, despite the few reviews that did not recommend them. They were warm, tasty, crispy, and full of flavor (and cheese)! Overall, we are glad we took the time to stop in. If other places were open we probably would've walked right past, but definitely glad we had the opportunity to try! Seems like a big place for locals too, as several tables had locals dining.
