[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great food but not really for kids.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a bar and had a guy sleeping in a booth.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was amazing. Best leg ever! Also enjoyed wings, red beans and broccoli casserole. The banana pudding looked good but we were too full to partake of dessert. Service was great.

Fried shrimp poboy and crispy fries

I always come for the $5 3pc fish special and margs, but this time I had the shrimp po'boy. ‍ It was delicious and the boy at the front register was so nice to me

Pros - Top tier customer service from Asia ! Cocktails are pretty good Various menu options Cons Menus would not scan Food was bland Ambiance in restroom was better than dining area Lacks ambiance

Turkey Leg Paradise is kind of one of those "hidden gem" places. The size of the restaurant is not super big, so it's perfect for a chill night. The service is great and the waitresses are polite. I chose the spicy mac turkey leg. The mac and cheese was fairly cheesy and went well with the turkey leg. The turkey leg itself was tender and flavorful. This is definitely something you can eat on more the once. Well worth the buy!

The fries were top tier!! Slightly salty but good nonetheless. I'd definitely order them again.

The service was good. I tried the glazed lemon pepper turkey leg which was surprisingly good. It was very tender. My daughter enjoyed the flavorful wings with fries and evenly butter spread toast.

I love love love this place! The ambiance is always welcoming and the food matches that. My go to: the spicy Mac stuffed Turkey leg with sweet heat sauce drizzle - side of lotta tang sauce (thank me later). The koolaid slaps and so does the banana pudding! Top tier all the way around. Oh and if the turkey meat doesn't fall off the bone, it's free! (Which won't happen bc it falls right off every single time. I deleted the pics of my food accidentally, so feel free to catch my live review on IG or TT : @MissMo2323

Nice small restaurant (hole in the wall) for locals and tourists. Enjoyed the service and the turkey legs are delicious and amazing. Also enjoyed their fried green beans and broccoli and cheese casserole which wasn't bad. The music is very loud so hard to talk to each other while in there. The server was very engaging and informative about the menu and drinks. Nice to relax or enjoy with friends or solo. Enjoy!

TERRIBLE SERVICE These people are rude as hell and only care about taking your money... we had a problem with our $66 hookah that we purchased and we spent an hour asking different workers for a different one and instead of us getting a new one, one of the girls copped an attitude and tried to say we spilled water on the hookah so it's our fault and we needed to purchase another one. Like that doesn't even make sense ??? We paid $66 for hookah (which is outrageous) and then it only worked for about 20 minutes??? Why are we responsible for a new one ? Then I walk in the back to ask another worker for one and I run into the girl who said we needed to buy a new one and she's in the back bumping her gums mad for no reason and instead of them workin with me they call security on me trying to say that I was drunk . No one was drunk I just wanted my $66 worth of hookah. Hookah normally ranges from 35-50 dollars ... so clearly they ain't making enough money . To end this story the security ended up coming to drag me out instead of actually trying to ask what the problem is . I told him I can leave but my friend is outside so let me get my friend and he told me no I need to step aside . Then out of nowhere he manhandles me and picks me up and attempts to drag me outside. He never gave a warning saying that we needed to leave or never even said he was going to make us leave. AND Not one time did I come at these people rude , I simply asked for a new hookah but clearly these mfs is broke and act like they couldn't help the situation so therefore I'll never come back to this broke place cause clearly they need the money and clearly the security guards have no common sense and are just looking to start trouble out of nothing . So no I definitely DO NOT recommend this place . Respectfully F these broke people. And the pictures that's added is the rude ass security guard ... clearly he feels good about being rude to women trying to overpower them but that's fine cause he got it coming !!!

First of all, they sat 6 of us without an issue. Prices were reasonable. Service was great (Meek was our server). We spoke with an owner and she was amazing. She and her husband are doing a great job. We will definitely be back. I've already reported to the family... Now for the food. Our appetizers were the mozzarella sticks and the turkey fries. The turkey fries are AMAZING!!!!! For entres we had: Nawlins Saint, Broccoli Rice Casserole and Four Cheese Cajun Pasta stuffer turkey legs; lemon pepper wings, plain wings, and chicken tenders; mac and cheese, French fries. All of the entrées were really good. The smoked turkey legs fell off the bone and were smoked really well (not pre-smoked). Dessert we had banana pudding (options are with and without bananas) and peach cobbler. Very tasty. We will be back!!!!

Honest review... I didn't like the turkey sandwich, it has the jerk flavor and it had a weird aftertaste. Not sure if maybe it's because the sandwich is like the leftovers from the Turkey leg but I just didn't like it at all. The catfish was very tasty! I'm mot sure if it was real domestic catfish or Swai but it did have nice seasoning and was an excellent value. I also got the mac and cheese which didn't have any sauce but still had a great flavor. It was like sticky noodles. I also didn't like that they only accept to go orders paying card over the phone. Why can't I place my order then pay in cash or by card in person? Ridiculous! And top of that their phone number rings several times till voicemail which then says to call another number for their business.

Food was really good! We had the 4 cheese smothered Turkey leg and Cajun Ranch wings basket and fries. Very well seasoned food and nice portions for your money. Now the drink .... why is this small club drink $9? They should know better. Definitely would skip out on that next time. They could improve on the actual establishment's look. Wires from electronics are all over the place and not hidden. Decorations are minimal. No COVID issues that I could see. There wasn't many people dining in, so not sure on seating spacing if they were to be packed. Overall I would go again!

Not many options to choose from in this part of town. Was staying at a local hotel and decided this might be the easiest option for me, on a Sunday. Mixed reviews didn't keep me away. Very simple menu. I got the turkey sandwich, with sweet heat sauce and a side of the cheesy broccoli rice. To my surprise, it came with fries. The fries were crinkle cut, crispy and had a seasoning on it. Very tasty. The sandwich was a good size and the turkey hit the spot. Not dry at all. And the sauce seemed like a simple bbq sauce. The sandwich was a little messy so I had to fork & knife it. I was not disappointed. But, what I was disappointed in was the broccoli rice. It was rice, broccoli and cheese. Unfortunately no extra seasonings. So, just kind of bland. Oh well. It won't keep me from coming back. And the young lady who took my order was pleasant.

By the time the store opened, the line had grown to being over twenty parties long, so plan accordingly if you don't want to be waiting for a while. Between the four in our party, we shared a three meat BBQ plate with bacon burnt ends, brisket, and their house made sausage. For our two sides, we chose their hatch chile mac n cheese and their Mexican street corn. Following the recommendations of many Yelpers, we also ordered two of the brisket tostadas and two of the birria tacos. When we received our plate of meat, I was a bit surprised at how little of each meat there was on the plate, but in hindsight, this ended up being the perfect amount of food, where everyone was able to get a sample of everything. Of the items we ordered, my favorite was definitely the burnt ends. These were melt in your mouth tender, and was insanely rich and decadent. Each of the three pieces in our order had a beautiful bark on the outside that resulted in a satisfying crunch with every bite. The casing to the sausage was snappy and the sausage itself was very juicy. The brisket was fall apart tender. The brisket was a bit light on seasoning, so I ended up using the Aztec Gold BBQ sauce they had sitting at the table with it. The sides that we chose were both delicious. The pasta in the mac n cheese was cooked perfectly and the noodles was generously sauced. The elote was sweet and smokey, and the Cotija cheese added creaminess to the side. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Hurtado Barbecue and wouldn't hesitate to recommend a visit if you're in Texas and are looking for great tasting BBQ.

I follow the chef/owner on Instagram (@kafibbq), and the amount of effort and detail he puts into his craft has resulted in multiple return visits for me. This review is for my latest visit. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Kafi BBQ can be found in a shopping strip in Irving-Valley Ranch. Only opened Friday - Sunday, on my most recent Sunday visit around dinner time, Kafi was packed. The patrons were a great mix of families, BBQ lovers, and those looking for high quality Halal meats. Smoke was in the air. 1 Star. Service - The staff is super friendly and nice. Pro Tip - Go for lunch or before 6 before items are sold out. A few items were sold out on my most recent visit (my fault I arrived at 6:45) and the staff weren't aware of what was available, leading to some confusion, but they were so nice it didn't impact my meal. 1 Star. Food - By now, you've probably read or heard about Kafi's Wagyu Brisket. For me, I love following @kafibbq on Instagram so I can see what Salahodeen is cooking up. On this visit, it was the Brisket Sandwich. First off, the house baked bread roll is soft, but firm enough to hold Kafi's famous brisket on a pile of home made cole slaw and pickles. The result was one of the best BBQ sandwiches I've eaten. The bite was soft, smokey, crunchy, and tart (from the pickles). It was a special, and I'm not sure if Kafi will keep this on the menu, but I hope they do. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. It's pricey, but it's worth it. While the brisket is great, I suggest you follow them on Instagram to see what's cooking and plan your visit around the specialty items. 1 Star.
