This is a review of a delivery order that we just got tonight. It was absolutely one of the worst meals I've ever had. You used to go to O'Charleys and get some decent chicken fingers. They weren't the best, but they were standard sit down restaurant chicken fingers. Welp, those days are gone. The fingers were the hardest and most dry that I've ever had, like they'd been under a warmer for 24 hours on the sun. You could easily get better chicken fingers from some podunk gas station in the middle of nowhere. Thank god DoorDash was nice enough to give us half of our money back. I've never paid so much for such a shitty experience. My recommendation would be to get some chicken fingers in the back of Walmart before paying this shithole for burnt shoe leather. I would not recommend this restaurant. It was dirty when we walked in-several tables not bussed. We ordered steak nachos and it had very little meat. The chicken parm was ok. The food is fairly cheap and you get what you pay for. The service wasn't good either. We had an empty glass sitting on the edge of our table needing a refill and our waitress never noticed. The manager passed by several times and didn't acknowledge the empty glass either. Maybe they were having a bad night but we will not be back. read more

The service was awful and the people working were so disorganized and made us feel like they were annoyed that we were there. The food was not good. No one in my party finished their meal. After our first time here I swore I wouldn't return then O'Charley's sent me a $25 GC, we went back terrific service TERRIBLE food and I forgot the GC. My daughter and I tried them again-I guess third time was the charm. Great service and food fantastic! Of course I got the California salad with chicken and my daughter got appetizer of shrimp and crab- she said more shrimp less crab as the crab tasted " funky". Let me start off saying this. This was, at one time, a good place to eat. WAS. I've been eating at O'Charley's since it was on 31-W Bypass where China One was at. I remember having great meals there. We were sat in the back area behind the bar. The seats looked as though a bobcat was trying to claw through to the other side. The table we were sat had gum under and was scratched pretty bad as well. The booths had tears, and were falling apart to the point fabric and lining was hanging off of them. Now for the food. I ordered a prime rib. Why? I have no idea...glutton for punishment I suppose. Anyhow, the price rib comes out looking like it was cooked in the microwave on one side and and seared in an active volcano on the other. Baked potato. Well it's a baked potato. Hard to mess that up I suppose. My mother in law ordered some sort of creole dish? Seriously. It looked like someone vomited on her plate. Threw some shrimp in it. And a scoop of white rice. Very unpleasant looking. My niece ordered a burger with nothing on it l, and of course it came out with the garden on it. I won't go there. Anyhow. She took everything off and took three bites and couldn't finish it. I don't blame her. Long story short. Skip this place. As a regular customer of O'Charley's I find the need to post continued reviews . Last night Dad and I ordered the new 11.99 rib deal on Thursday menu . It was delicious . Ribs were just right and baked potato hard to find better. Our server Jen well she is just first class . My dad wants his tea a certain way half sweet half unsweetened and she always gets it right . We got our food promptly and as order. I notice the business has picked up there . Which goes to show you people will go where they get good food and Great Service . First time in a while. seated immediately, very nice hostess. ten minutes later my waitstaff noticed I was sitting at a table. my drink order (water) water was taken and delivered with two medium warm rolls. at that time I gave my order (salad). long story short. The gentlemen behind me arrived a considerable time after me and had his salad when I decided to leave. After 35 minutes and there were three tables in this area, my empty roll container was taken without asking if I would like more. This was done with no conversation as to my food order. O'Charleys in Bowling Green, used to be great....they'd be packed, now, since they've gone downhill, you can get a table right away. The Bowling Green Restaurant has taken so much off their menu...now all they serve is fried foods, and it's terrible,, People in BG are sick of fried foods and want diversity. They took the Prime Rib off, The French dip off, sweet potato fries, off, and now they make those God Awful smashed burgers, when they used to make one of the best hamburgers in town. They took off their pasta dishes.....the bathrooms are a mess, the floors are dirty....I really hate to see them shut down, they are one of the two only diners open in BG for dinner. My family and I used to eat at this establishment once a week on average and we always asked for the same server each time as we know her, her family, and such through our church for years. One Sunday service she informs us with tears in her eyes that they fired her for theft. I was dumbfounded. She has to be the most wholesome kid I've ever known in my life. She was raised to be kind and not to cuss and especially not to sin by stealing. Obviously, I had a hard time believing the accusation but I needed to know more. I convinced my nephew to get a job there and asked him questions about the theft firing. What he found out shocked me. Corporate and management push those coupon pack cards like drug dealers, congratulate the employees for selling loads of them, and then fire people after customers come back and use them. The accusation is that they are faking the coupon and pocketing the difference. I'm sure this happens but it seems to happen WAY TOO OFTEN at THIS location which leads me to believe the number of thieves is falsely inflated. Why? It's an easy way to get rid of an otherwise perfect employee. Don't like the way Linda smiles? Accuse her of theft. "I'm sorry, but my hands are tied. We can't prove you did it and you can't prove that you did not." Gone. My family and I will never eat at any Ocharleys locations until corporate gets a handle on this flawed coupon system that is abusing workers. I was at this location this past Friday (9-23-23)for a special 80th birthday celebration. Our servers Tiffany & Christian were exceptional and efficient considering the amount of people including children that were on hand. Everyone's orders came out in a timely manner including the late arrivals like myself. All the food was piping hot and ready to eat. The only complaint I had was the asparagus was a little tough and woody. I guess it was a little too late in the season for them, however my pork chops were flavorful and delicious as well as the soup. These two servers are to be commended for a job well done. This place is neat inside! We came in specifically for peach cobbler/pie as we were on vacation and it was my birthday where I always request peach pie. So we sat near the bar and the first cobbler that was served you could tell by looking at it...the dough was raw! Not only to the back-of-the-house miss it but also the server should've caught it. As I waited for another serving, I went to the restroom to wash my hands and I noticed the most awful smell in the restroom! It was horrible!!! After reading other comments here, it appears they definitely have a problem that needs to be fixed immediately! We were greeted nicely when we walked in the door and seated right away. Since it was my birthday, I knew exactly what I wanted. I started out with an excellently made Bloody Mary, then warm rolls were brought to the table. We ordered the potato skins appetizer which was very good. I ordered the filet mignon, medium rare, with asparagus and a baked potato and my husband ordered the shrimp with coleslaw as a side. The steak was very tender and cooked to perfection, and served with a delicious garlic butter. The asparagus was grilled and very tasty. My husband was happy with the shrimp as well and really liked the coleslaw. Our waitress, Whitney, was very good and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. On our way back to the car, the hostess came running after us because my husband forgot his glasses on the table. Saved us a return trip! All in all, a very nice birthday dinner. read more

I enjoyed the time here with my daughter. We came here on a daddy daughter date and it was a fun experience. I really liked that they put us at a window table so she could look outside while we waited for our food. For our appetizer, we got the chicken strips. They are double dipped in batter so they are extra crunchy and chewy. The potato soup leaved much to be desired though. It was basically a couple of chunks of potato is a cheese soup base with some bacon and celery. The burger was fantastic. It was a new item on their menu. 1 patty topped with a bourbon based bbq sauce and topped with onion tangles. We also had desert, 1 slice of apple pie. The sugar had crystallized on the top so it was a little bit difficult cutting with just a spoon, but it was superb. Our waitress was decent, although not the best she could have been. I could tell she didn't really want to be there on a saturday afternoon. We also didn't get our rolls until the appetizer came. I think it was because there were a few larger parties there, so I can overlook that small issue. Overall, a nice dining experience for a saturday afternoon meal. Updated review 6-3-17. Horrible experience on date night. Our waitress was not very personable at all. The kitchen staff was also way off course. My date ordered salmon w baked potato and was brought out salmon with broccoli. I didn't even get fries with my chicken strips. Where's the zero stars option? Let's start with the initial order. I wanted some spicy jack wedges badly. I find a meal with 3 italian meatballs on crustinis + 4 spicy jack wedges. GUESS WHAT? They didn't put the SJW with my meal. Okay. Italian meatballs? It's a decent restaurant. They have to be good, right? Nah. Trash. I'm irritated af because I'm spending good money and nothing I have is edible. Wife's food was okay. This was a to-go order. I call and I get told I'll get some vouchers in the mail. No vouchers. I call again and the manager sends me 2 vouchers for $10 a piece. That's cool. 1/2/22 - Wife and I decide to have lunch so we can use the vouchers. GUESS WHAT WE REALLY WANTED? Spicy Jack Wedges. Are they available? Nah. Sold out. Waitress is out place as a server. We're not connecting. Whatever. We order the famous chicken strips as an appetizer. No idea why they're famous. We order the french dip meals to play it safe. The french dips were great. Waitress runs my card. Spend 25.31 + 20% tip. We peace. We're at the grocery store and there's a separate O'Charley's charge that does not belong to me for 41.46. I come BACK to the restaurant and guess who sees me first after the hostess? The waitress. Does she come ask what's wrong or how she may help me? Nah. Manager eventually arrives and made it seem like it's a common occurrence that servers "accidently" charge wrong cards a lot and the charges fall off. Wut? How? Why? GUESS WHAT?! The $41.46 cleared and made me overdraft. :/ I call to let the same manager know and he's like well there's not much I can do except refund the money and that's fine but TAKE CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS. I suggested, "How about some vouchers? We like O'Charley's you know...and that unforeseen charge made me overdraft." Manager: oh yeah okay I can do that" Manager sends me 2 more vouchers. By now, I'm sure I'm a hassle from hell because I've made them be as accountable as much as I can. 1/15/22 - We wanna use the last 2 vouchers so we can be done with O'Charleys. No spicy jack wedges. Don't forget, okay? We get 2 french dip meals to go and I arrive on the side and go in to pay. About 10 minutes pass and about 8-9 servers keep making eye contact with me but they just keep looking at me and passing. I don't know. I really try to be realistic. People are human. People are busy. But let me tell you something. The waitress knew she accidently charged my card for someone else's order and chose not to tell me. That just tells me she's grossly incompetent. O'Charley's is one of those well known chains of traditional style dining that I love. I stopped off here while visiting my brother at college. There was no wait, and I was seated quickly. I ordered a Diet Pepsi. When it came out, I took a sip and noticed it was a little flat. So I asked for a water. When it came time to order my food I ordered a chicken tender dinner with fries and mashed sweet potatoes. When it came out, it wasn't the best presentation I've seen on a plate. (Just quickly threw the tenders on top of the fries instead of placing them separately on the plate.) Aside from that, the food was delicious.
