The prices are a little high for the quantity and quality of food in my opinion, but it is good/fine in general and they have no shortage of green chili. Ruben and beer what more can you say especially in March. The family has been going here for so many years and never disappointed. Last night we were throwing around idea of where to go and as usual O'Niell's came up top on the list. Good service, food and spirits, was a little disappointed that I ran out of water and had to steal some out of a family members glass half way through dinner and luckly I only wanted one drink, our waitress was so friendly but brought us our bill without even checking if we wanted desert let alone more beer. I really enjoyed my meal, I got the impossible burger and it was cooked just right. I like my burgers more on the well done side so I was more than happy with it. It reminded me of the burgers I grill at home. If you don't like it more on the well side you may not be happy. Anyway, this is one happy vegan. We were so disappointed! We should have walked out as soon as they told us they were trying to save money by not printing menus, but we were so tired and hungry we stuck it out. They had " scan here" print outs everywhere ! ! The waitress was so rude , we asked for help trying to get the menu and she was disgusted that we didn't have an" I phone "or the app to get the menu! She finally gave us a menu that was printed and we ordered. Food was ok but would never go back ! Worst service I have had in a very long time. I came here a while back for a coworkers send off party. We sat on the patio and the restaurant was hopping. We were a party of at least 8, but were seated quickly and drink orders taken. We ordered a few pints of beer and they came quickly. These were replenished quickly by our waiter at our request. We ordered many different items on the menu. One item was the sweet potato fries. They arrived hot, fresh, and nicely salted. I had the fish and chips. They arrived hot and fresh as well. The batter on the fish was not too thick and it was very crispy. The inside of the fish was hot and very flakey. We stayed up until close to celebrate and the wait staff checked in with us regularly. Overall, it was a good time and the experience was very pleasant. I'd highly recommend for a small get together or a casual dining experience. It looks like a great place to watch sports too. I held out over 24 hours to write a civil review and I still can not do it. Absolutely atrocious. I chose this 'Irish' restaurant over others in the area for St. Patrick's Day. It should be noted that I do not drink alcohol. The menu was limited, but they removed the 'Reuben we have been selling since the 90s,' in light of St. Patrick's Day. That's goofy, I figured you would serve the select Irish items you have, instead you had a buffalo chicken and turkey jack sandwich on your limited menu... Pretty disappointing, especially since my father and I came for a Reuben. We got the corned beef and cabbage for $13.49, which was served on paper plates with plastic silverware. What a cash grab. I will never patronize this business again. You should be ashamed of yourselves. You could have had longtime patrons, but you decided to get a quick buck. Furthermore, the portion of corned beef was insulting, the carrots were not fully cooked, and nothing was seasoned. No rye bread on the menu, meal was served with a dinner roll. Butter wasn't even soft by the time I finished the meal. I should have put the corned beef in my hand so you could witness the minimal amount of meat, but just take a good look. I'll spend no time looking over my review, which is what you did when you created your limited menu. You didn't even add all the sides that were included with the Corned Beef and Cabbage meal on the menu. The clovers on your menu were tacky too, way to demonstrate your WordArt skills. My father came from over 1,000 miles away to visit and both of us are pretty easy to please. We had Sadie's, Rudy's, Twisters, Taco Cabana, Blake's Lotaburger, and all of those restaurants were excellent. Way to ruin your reputation on the one day you need to bring it. Pathetic. I created a yelp account just because of this awful experience. Second time the waiter had a terrible attitude, same food was half the portion of the attitude, I said I wanted a date beer and was brought a pale ale, had to wait 20 minutes for a waiter and another 15 for him to wipe down the table after being asked twice, and nothing was being done about the smoking in the no smoking section. O, O'Niells! This location boosts a large patio with smoking and non smoking options. During the winter months half of it is enclosed and heated to add additional seating. O'Niells is always clean and the staff is always friendly. It is an Irish pub but the selections for food vary greatly. I have had many delicious dishes paired with top beers. My favorites include the club sandwich, nachos, chili cheese fries and their O'Niels Burger. It's the perfect environment for hanging out with friends or co-workers, catching a game on one of the TV's or enjoying a drink on a warm summer day. this may yet be the only public house [pub; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_house] in the world that resides in a renovated former crispy creme donut shop in a shopping center next door to a gym in the NE burbs of albuquerque. its burrowed, covered patio and all, a person high below busy juan tabo. but this helps with acoustics. if anything, like his central avenue location, the traffic provides a constant buzz that plays off of the buzz of suburbans like myself enjoying themselves in and around the restaurant.. there's happy hour drink specials of chilled beer on tap. there's decent hot piping fish and chips served with malt vinegar and tartar sauce. there's burger. there's even chips and salsa that i'm absolutely sure you will not find offered in galway or dublin or cork or letterkenny. and the proximity to the house is perfect. read more

We visited this location on Juan Tabo recently. Sean was very attentive and even entertained us with a song. Not quite ready to win American Idol, but very fun. Food was, as usual, very good, beer very cold. We were extremely disappointed that the owner recently removed all the TV's from the bar. Are you KIDDING me? It's a bar. It's March Madness. Let's see: no pool tables, darts, or other games; no music or dancing; no TV's...exactly what do you think people DO in bars! While waiting 15 to 20 minutes for the waitress to bring my credit card back, my friends and I were "invited" to leave by the manager because they needed our table. Generally an Okay restaurant, but the one on Juan tabo has been in decline lately. This time in, I actually saw and heard the GM making fun of a patron with another patron within hearing distance over a food allergy. Some of the staff are pleasant, but the manager is fake and condescending. I have on many occasions heard him talking about other patron while at the bar. I will definitely be looking for another watering hole if even the management can't handle the fact that there are many people to serve, and it is his job to serve them. He told me today, when I said that I was told that the Shepard's pie is made every other day, that I should not trust his staff because he doesn't. Needs new management for sure. I have been coming here for years. And it is getting worse and worse. I would even say pathetic at times. I happen to have a very soft place in my heart for O'Niell's. My friends and I have been going to the old location for a very long time and its great to have a new one closer to home. The food is always comforting and the atmosphere is always relaxing. Whether you are sitting on the patio with your dogs having a beer, dining inside, or in the covered patio. There isn't a bad seat in the house. The staff is very attentive and accommodating. The managers Jonathan and Scott are always so welcoming and great! My favorite things to get there are the Fish and Chips, Corn Beef Egg Rolls and you can't go wrong with a burger. The nacho's are also a nice starter. They have a great beer selection and this will always be a go to place if I need a relaxing evening or a fun night out with friends! read more

Met some friends here for dinner and a beer. Apparently it is Beer Camp Across America, some "promotion" from Sierra Nevada brewing. I put promotion in quotes because I definitely won't be buying Sierra Nevada beer or going back to O'Neils as a result. The beer was decent, some interesting choices. Epi is the greatest manager O'Neill's has ever had since Lincoln experienced the worst headache of his life in the Ford theater.

We love this place, it is family friendly, has great live music, terrific food and a wide selection of beer and liquor. We really appreciate the fact that they have a gluten free menu. The diversity and community-minded attitude of the owners is inspirational. And, they have BAGPIPES! read more

Underrated, they have some very good healthy options and the patio is one of the nicest in the area. It's very dog friendly out there with poop bags, leash hooks, and they will supply water.
