I forever love getting their bentos. I like how the sides always change and there's always a different side to try each time I get it. The portions for the sides are always filled to the brim. This was my first time getting the eel bento from here so I was a little disappointed on how there's only two pieces of eel for $19.68.
Great quick-eat spot in Cupertino and right next to Main Street. The bento boxes are pretty large portions so definitely worth the price. Authentic Taiwanese food and all the sides in the bento go well with the main dish. Easy ordering with the QR code and very quick service. Restaurant has a laid back vibe, great for casual hangouts
Ordered through qr code and everything came out super fast! All the fried foods were done perfectly. Extra crispy on the outside but still moist on the inside. They have a good variety of bento boxes/ combos and a la carte. Price was pretty good for the portions! We dined in and luckily snagged the last table but take out would be a great option too!
This place's food reminds me of the Taiwanese bento boxes I grew up eating! Cannot recommend O2 Valley enough - delicious food, huge portions, and a variety of options. I visited on a Saturday afternoon, and it was quite busy. After 1pm, however, the crowd started to clear. The interior is minimally decorated, and there's a fair amount of seating. The bento boxes were the star of the show! I can't get over how much food was in a single bento box - one bento could easily last you two meals. The popcorn chicken was fried to perfection and covered in fragrant spices. The accompanying sides were also delicious! I really enjoyed the grilled chicken. It honestly seemed more fried than grilled, but it was tasty nonetheless. The grilled chicken portion was somehow even bigger than that of the popcorn chicken. There were two huge pieces of grilled chicken, all covered in a sweet and tangy marinade. The golden kimchi paired well with the bentos and cut through the richness of the meat. I've heard great things about the drinks here as well but didn't get a chance to try. Just another reason to visit again! If you're looking for comfort Taiwanese food, O2 Valley is the perfect place for you!
O2 is probably my favorite Taiwanese fried chicken cutlet that I have ever had, maybe O2 even beats Taiwan! I always get the Chicken Cutlet here and really recommend getting the À la carte version since they give SO much chicken!!! Chicken Cutlet - The chicken is always so crispy and flavorful here. The white pepper flavor with salt is an iconic Taiwanese fried chicken taste, and O2 does it so well. The bento is pretty good too and huge! It comes with vegetables, rice with minced pork, and some noodles. You WILL have leftovers! I definitely recommend coming to O2 if you are visiting the Bay Area, the chicken cutlet is a must!
Favorite Taiwanese bento box! Amazing fried chicken here. Small restaurant in tight plaza with parking all around. They have tea here as well but stuck to my usually spicy grilled chicken bento box. The spicy grilled chicken bento has a small kick to it with sauce marinated around it. It has a light crispy batter around it so not sure why it's called grilled. Comes with rice, boiled egg, and 2 sides. Have had different sides on different days. Popcorn chicken with garlic was great and has loads of garlic. Plenty of fresh garlic to make your mouth smell right after. Nice staff. Order takes about 10-15 minutes and perfect for to go. Quick and easy lunch with huge portion.
I wish I had tried this place sooner! This is some very legit and addictive Taiwanese comfort food. We tried a variety of dishes and they were all great. There's also a very generous amount of food, I would say that each bento can be 2 meals or for one very hungry person. In addition to the main meats, each bento comes with a lot of rice, sides, and veggies. All the fried foods were fried to perfection. Quick and easy online ordering system for takeout or delivery. Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone craving Taiwanese snack food classics.
When I bit into my first O2 Valley popcorn chicken, I was amazed by how juicy the meat was given how crispy the exterior was. The chicken katsu in the bento was equally succulent. Paired with garlicky broccoli, braised egg, and a generous portion of rice, the food was amazing given the price point. One bento could likely feed two people - that's called a great deal. The interior of the store had relaxing plant motifs, including a mossy panel on the wall. Why the store is called O2 Valley is not clear to me but the refreshing, nature-y aesthetic was very relaxing to dine in. Most importantly, the service was super nice :') Idk the cashier just genuinely wanted to help, offering to show pictures of the food, bringing extra bowls to the table, etc. He seemed like a good boy pat pat.
I've lived nearby for a long time and never stopped in. They're located in a small plaza with not too much parking. I typically just walk to this plaza. It's a pretty cozy shop. There's a good amount of seating inside. You seat yourself and order by QR code. Water, utensils, and condiments are also self serve. I'm sure you could probably order at the counter as well but I've never done it. We got a minced pork bento and a stir fry basil chicken bento. The chicken bento was pretty spicy, I liked it. The chicken was cooked very nicely and you get two sides and an egg as well as rice with minced pork. The minced pork bento comes rice, egg, and two sides. The staff brought our food to our tables for us. They come in convenient bento boxes and you can ask for lids and bags at the front should you need them. The portions are pretty generous. I ate maybe a third of mine. My partner finished his bento. Depends on your appetite. This is a great place when you just want some comfort food at a no frills mom and pop shop. They're not a big chain and are locally owned!
While I was in San Jose, a friend of mine suggested a Taiwanese bento place that I could check out since he was a big fan of it. I decided to order it on Uber Eats since I wanted to try it for lunch that day, and it was delivered fairly quickly with no hassle. I decided to try out the grilled chicken cutlet bento, since people online said it was better than the regular fried chicken cutlet since it's first fried and then grilled with additional sauces added. The portions of it are pretty sizable, and I was a big fan of the sauce along with the crispiness of the chicken. The meat was quite tender as well, while the sides were good as well. I decided to get their milk tea too, which also was pretty solid. Overall, I would definitely order from here again and I can see why my friend recommended it!
I came here for lunch and got their Braised Pork Chop Bento 滷排骨便當. I was surprised with how many pieces of pork chop they gave, 5 pieces! The portion size for the bento is good, enough for 2 meals for me. The rice had a braised pork, then came with a seasoned soy sauce egg, and two sides. The sides vary - this time I got cabbage and carrots stir fried, and some type of meatball (pork ball) and celery mix. Overall, food came out within 5 mins of ordering. Everything was very quick and delicious. Parking can be a bit difficult but they have some parking at the back of the building.
I came here twice, and here is my experience: 1. Ambience (4/5): The restaurant isn't too big but has plenty of seating. It's very clean and well-organized. 2. Service (4/5): I mostly served myself because there was only one worker handling both the cashier and server duties in the front. The lady in the kitchen brought the food to my table when it was ready. The guy at the counter was very helpful and nice when I asked him some questions about my food. 3. Food (4/5): - Grilled Cutlet Chicken with Rice (4/5): I thought it would be grilled chicken, but it was actually a big piece of fried chicken with a crispy coating. It was still delicious with the rice. The chicken had a crispy crust and was topped with sauce. I was very surprised by the huge portion, it could easily feed two people! I think the owner focuses on food quality and portion size, which might be why there are only a few workers. The bento box also came with a side of stir-fried vegetables and some braised pork. - Curry Rice with Fried Chicken (4/5): It came with the same fried chicken. The curry sauce was flavorful and pretty good. I'm not usually a fan of curry, but this one was fine for me. Overall: Service was quick and mostly self-served. The food was affordable with huge portions. Everything tasted flavorful and delicious. I'll definitely come back soon!!!
Tried O2 Valley and really enjoyed it! I had their garlic popcorn chicken and loved how much garlic they put on it. So crispy and flavorful and it really hit the spot. I also liked that you can serve yourself dipping sauces which makes it fun to mix and match. It is a nice place to chill and hang out. For drinks I got the mango yogurt which was creamy and sweet and the jasmine milk tea was tea forward which I love. Definitely a solid spot for good bites and drinks.

BEST TAIWANESE FOOD SPOT!! A friend recommended this place to us and we can't help but stop here every time we come to San Jose! Everything here is good, not one thing has been short of delicious. We usually get the grilled chicken bento,minced pork bento, and Taiwanese tempura. Always so good! We have tried a lot from the menu but this is our definite go-to order. The vibes and decor is so aesthetic: clean, nicely lit, and good music. Food is obviously amazing! Service is great, the staff is quick, efficient, nice, and respectful. They also have a point system with either phone or email, so worth it! You can redeem for drink, appetizer or even bento. read more

My go-to at O2 Valley is the #R9 Fried Squid Bento but honestly you can't go wrong with any of their bentos. Each meal comes with a variety of sides including: stir fried veggies, soy sauce egg, lu rou fan (braised pork belly over rice), and some other rotating options. At $16 for all this food, the prices at O2 Valley are a steal for the Bay Area. Every dish is well executed and authentic as well, I personally like how crispy they get the squid, but do wish it was slightly less well done. Easy online ordering system! We placed an order around 12pm Saturday with a 30 minute ETA, and received a text when our order was ready exactly 30 minutes later. They also have indoor dining available, but it honestly was really cramped when I went to pickup so I wouldn't recommend it for the COVID-cautious. We got a popcorn chicken bento, taro balls, and a rose earl grey milk tea. It came out to around $26, which seems kind of pricey but they pack a LOT in those bentos. One bento probably feeds like 1.5-2 people. In addition to the popcorn chicken, the bento came with minced pork over rice, cucumber salad side dish, shrimp and egg side dish, and a tea egg. The cucumber salad and the shrimp and egg were different than what was pictured in the menu, so I'm assuming they rotate the two side dishes. They are generous with the chicken here. It's definitely not 99% rice like some places can be, in fact there was more chicken than rice in our bento. The chicken was prepared well, with lots of basil and not too much breading, and although I have a pretty low tolerance for salt, I didn't find it to be too salty which was such a pleasant surprise. The only thing that would make it better for me was if they had a spicy version! I also really liked the cucumber salad which had the perfect amount of vinegar, and minced pork over rice was good too. The only thing lacking was the tea egg as it hadn't been marinated long enough and just tasted like a hard boiled egg. Eggs seem to be my only issue with this place, as the taro balls were amazing except that the salted egg yolk just tasted like a normal egg yolk. I could really taste the taro and the fried exterior had a great ASMR crunchiness. The rose earl grey milk tea at normal sweetness was a little too sweet for my taste, but my sister liked it. There are rose petals in it and the rose flavour is very prominent. Overall the convenience and the food made for a pleasant experience. Would definitely come back, especially if they add spicy popcorn chicken to the menu!! read more
This is a delicious Taiwanese spot that has great portions and pricing! We ordered the Pork Belly Bowl, Braised Pork Chop Rice Plate and Garlic Popcorn Chicken. Also got the Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie and Lychee Rose Garden Soda which comes with popping boba but my boyfriend opted out of it. I definitely would prefer the Lychee Rose Garden Soda over the smoothie next time. We definitely have some leftovers from this meal. All of the side dishes compliment one another and the meat:rice ratio was perfect for me! We ordered through the website instead of Grubhub on the yelp app. For some reason the menu through Grubhub adds a couple more dollars to the items (maybe just me??) Staff is also nice!! read more

During the times I used Doordash and UberEats, I always came across this place but never ordered from there. It was not until this past year or so that a friend of mine recommended me it to me and I am hooked!! O2 is a part of our weekly lunch rotation after church. Portions are generous and everything is absolutely delicious. I would have to say my favorite item to get is the fried squid bento. I also tried their popcorn chicken and Thai chicken. The sauce that comes with the Thai chicken is awesome. You choose your protein and the bento comes with a soy sauce egg and two side dishes that are on rotation along with pork rice. You never know what sides you will get. They are usually veggie side dishes, sometimes mixed with meat. The portions are so huge that I can make two meals out of the bento box. Their tea drinks are delicious as well and the boba is on point. You can adjust the sweetness and ice level and there are a variety of toppings you can choose from. I like to order ahead and food is ready pretty quickly. One advice to note is to make sure you have your order number read to present at pickup. The restaurant itself is small and parking is very limited. They share a tiny lot along with other eateries in the strip mall. read more
Came here on Monday night and place was half full. You order at the register and they ask if you want to eat there or takeout. We decided on take out even though we planned to eat there because the box will come with a lid and we knew we wouldn't be able to finish everything. Ordered the chicken cutlet bento and the grilled chicken cutlet bento. Let me start off by saying that the portions are huge! They give you so much chicken. The bento also came with rice with pork, cabbage, tea egg, and tomato eggs. The grilled chicken cutlet was surprisingly very similar to the chicken cutlet, but with a sauce glazed over the chicken. I thought the sauce was very good so it's a nice alternative if you want extra flavor to the chicken cutlet. read more

I've been a regular at this O2 location for about a year, and in my eyes, it is hands-down one of the best Taiwanese restaurants in the Bay. First off, the service is extremely warm, and the interior is very comfy and modern. For that reason, it's also s good place to do computer work, which do frequently here. Second, the menu has a wide variety of options, ranging from grilled and fried appetizers to bentos to drinks -- I never find myself exhausted with the choices, as there is something for everyone. Third, the food is spectacular. To this date, I've had most of the bentos and appetizers, and I'd say my favorites are (i) the Pork Belly Bento, (ii) the Taiwanese Braised Dish, and (iii) the Grilled Chicken Cutlet the latter two of which like to get spicy. My favorites in terms of tea are (i) the Rose Early Gray and (ii) the PaoChung tea. Note that employees are very accommodating to taste, and for that reason, I'm always pleased when I'm able to get extra spicy on most dishes (also not to mention heavily enjoy their house-made "Super Hot Mushroom Sauce"). Having opened a location in Palo Alto, I couldn't be any more happy that O2 is expanding their brand. It is unique, truly Taiwanese, and puts out amazing food. Super yummy Taiwanese bentos! They're pricey ($19.79) but you get huge portions of the protein - the R3 Grilled Chicken Cutlet Bento has two huge deliciously-sweet slabs of chicken cutlet. FYI the grilled chicken cutlet should be labeled as fried though, since it's just a huge piece of yummy popcorn chicken. The side entrees are yummy too. The parking lot is small and busy though, so it's better to park on the side. Definitely worth a try! read more

My buddy and I schedule a bro date every other week for work lunch. We decided to randomly try new spots to expand our foodie horizon. O2 Valley came up on a search as we were looking for a Bento style meal. The options available all looked appetizing from simple fried poutry to seafood menu. I've always had a craving for anything squid related, and therefore guaged my choice on the fried calamari. The bento box came out with more than I expected. There was a large portion of fried calamari that was made to a well crisp on the outer layer while the squid was neither too soft or chewy. It had a crunch that breaks aparts easily to digest. On the side, you have a small portion of crunchy bamboo chutes stirred fried in braised pork and sauce. The rice is also topped off with braised pork along with a side of veggie. I've came back here once more another time and the side dish seems to change on a scheduled basis. Instead of veggie this time, Ive gotten fried mushrooms. Will definitely come back in the near future for dinner plans. Would love to try the pork belly. read more

Their garlic popcorn chicken is bomb and I always get the jasmine green milk tea! Flavor is just right and 25% sugar is the perfect amount for me. The size is pretty big and it's definitely one of the more affordable spots in the area. read more

Ordered two bentos to eat in the car before an afternoon hike. I imagine the bentos would be great for a picnic outing too! We placed our order online via their website and the food was promptly ready about 15 minutes later. We ordered the Grilled Pork Chop and the Stir-Fried Basil Chicken Rice Plates. Both were good and my boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed picking at the different items in the bentos. I did wish the pork chop had a crisp to them. Portions are generous, so the prices for the bentos are definitely a great deal. For a girl like me, one bento would easily feed me for two meals. Looks like they change up their sides every now and then so that's fun and you won't get tired of the bentos if you're a regular here. read more

Probably the best Taiwanese bento box restaurant in the Bay Area I've tried so far. Every item is solid and is so delicious. Service is fast but distant. Indoor dining available but seat yourself and order from the QR code. Bento boxes - O2's FB page posts the side dishes for each week so you'll always get something different every time you visit. A3. Basil Popcorn Chicken - Must order! My favorite popcorn chicken in the Bay Area next to Shihlin. The breading, the saltiness, and the texture were incredible. A4. Garlic Popcorn Chicken - This was very good too but between the two, basil is a little better. O2 does not hold back on the garlic and I could smell my breath even after two brushes. R6. Braised Pork Chop Bento (Boneless) - Nice variety of side dishes, pork, egg, and rice. A7 Turnip Cake - Must order! Crispy little carb squares are fun to eat. Crispy Tofu - It's ok. It's tofu. A16 Hundred Layer Tofu - This one is the tastier tofu to order. R8. Taiwanese Sausage Bento - Sausage had a great processed texture and salty flavor to it. Found this place on Yelp when we were looking for Taiwanese minced pork over rice for a quick dinner. First impression upon walking in is how compact this place is, it is however relatively quiet despite having a full house, maybe the faux grass decor on the wall helps reduce the noise in this tiny restaurant. I would say the place is clean and pleasant overall. Ordering process is quick and efficient via the phone after scanning the barcode on the table. The Taiwanese style cold noodle with sesame seed dressing was delivered to our table is less than a minute, no kidding! The minced pork over rice bento also showed up rather quickly. This indeed is Taiwanese FAST food and we were extremely impressed. I cannot judge if food is authentic here but it sure is yummy. Also a big thumbs up for the drinks, in particular the lemon and winter melon concoction. Will visit again for sure. read more

One of my favorite foods that I sadly don't get to eat enough. I really enjoy being in the South Bay for this very reason because they have a huge selection of Taiwanese restaurants. Came here for lunch and got the Taiwanese sausage bento box and tempura. Both were very delicious and really makes me miss Taipei. You can order on DoorDash but the prices are higher, so just call in or order when you arrive - they are VERY fast. I ordered when I got there and only wait 6 mins for my food and it was hot! They have a lot of selections for their bentos and all are great Taiwanese favorites :) Can't wait to come back and try their other items! read more

Ambiance: super casual spot that's good lunch or dinner. You can order and pay at the table or with the cashier so very convenient. Food arrived quickly. Minced pork was okay - a little too sweet for my taste. Husband said the grilled squid was good. Personal preference but I really don't like firm tofu and I got a massive portion of it; this would've been great if it was soft tofu. Chicken cutlet is good and is a large portion. Everything was fine, this is good for a quick meal but wasn't anything amazing. Our friends who have never had Taiwanese food loved the chicken cutlet, braised pork belly, and fried tofu. read more

Great place for Taiwanese bento boxes and snacks! Their portions are huge, certainly enough for 2. The popcorn chicken was delicious although I felt like it was missing some of the spices you normally get over it. I would actually recommend getting the grilled chicken - its fried chicken but then smothered in sauce and grilled - it has a lot of extra tasty flavor on it! read more

good flavors but.....we ordered 4 items and all had good flavors, even the sides included in the benton. What I really appreciate was no item was too salty. I ordered grilled chicken cutlet benton cuz I didn't want breaded cutlet/chop but they breaded it, fried it and then grilled it. WHY? Why fry it if it is supposed to be grilled? The cutlet was very thin, same thickness as the breading. The cutlet was hard to chew and greasy.....unfortunate cuz the flavor was good. The pig blood cake traditionally is steamed but of course they had to fry it. The outside was hard to chew. read more

This place is amazing!! I've been a couple times already. I've ordered their bento boxes, snacks, and drinks. They give you A TON, so it's definitely worth it! Make sure you ask for their rewards card since you get a stamp every $5 you spend, which is pretty generous. I would probably recommend getting their chicken cutlet instead of their popcorn chicken since it's more tender and moist. The popcorn chicken is inconsistent; sometimes it's good, other times it's too dry. I've recently ordered their garlic popcorn chicken and I probably wouldn't get it again. It's just chicken, some basil, and a ton of minced garlic on top, so there's nothing really special about it. Their bento boxes are totally worth it. My dad orders a couple every time he goes and their side dishes are amazing. I would order their side dishes by themselves, if that was an option. Definitely recommend if you haven't, cause you are missing out!!!!! read more

I ordered Matcha cheese cream and popcorn chicken. Both are good especially the popcorn chicken (basil). It doesn't taste like from the freezer like most of the boba place does. Ordering to go was confusion as no one at the cashier, so we sat down at a table and use the QR code to order, so ends up the food was not in a to go box. Food in next tables look very good too. It's more like a lunch place than a hang out cafe. read more

A very quality place that's clean, good food, good portions, and very tasty! They're known for their bentos, which come with 2 sides that change (you can't choose). I love the way Taiwanese fried things are not too oily and very flavorful, my favorite thing was the fried king oyster mushrooms!! They were like an addicting snack I could eat forever. My pork chop bento was delicious too, so I'm excited to come back and try their boba. read more

Taiwanese bentos always hit the spot! Found this place on Yelp and realized that I've been driving past it for ages. It's located in an unassuming strip mall near Main Street, but I much prefer it to any of the food options there. The chicken bento is $15, which I thought was a bit steep until I saw the size of the portions. It'd comfortably feed me for two meals. The chicken was crunchy, well-seasoned, and tender; all of the sides and rice (topped with pork?) were delicious as well. Waffle fries reminded me a bit of Potato Corner. Great texture and flavor! Brown sugar boba fresh milk uses a type of Chinese/Taiwanese sugar that isn't quite the same as American brown sugar. The flavor profile of this drink was unexpected, but really delicious (would probably lower the sweetness next time though). Boba was soft and chewy. Plenty of spots in the parking lot out front. read more

This is a great place for some comfort Taiwanese bento:)!! I ordered the R10 pork belly bento box to go and my boyfriend got the R2 Fried Chicken cutlet bento. One thing to note is that the place is quite small/narrow and doesn't have a lot of space to stand around waiting for take out. There is a tiny waiting area by the door. Additionally, there are plenty of tables, but most of them were occupied when we got there and they were close together, so it felt awkward standing super close to the tables while my boyfriend and I were waiting for our food. We got the food in less than 10 minutes! I loved the pork belly--super juicy and flavorful. I'm always hesitant to order pork belly bento at fast casual places because I'm worried that they'll be dry and tasteless. The bentos also came with authentic sides like tea egg, vegetables, rice, and cuttlefish with bamboo shoots. The fried chicken cutlet was juicy and crunchy AF too, but a bit oily. Also, the broccoli and bamboo shoots were okay, a little mushy and had a slightly sweet overly taste and saucyness. Would love to come here again to try their drinks along with some popcorn chicken! read more
