Was looking for a legit breakfast burrito and we came across this place. We ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito and a ham one (not pictured). Great flavor, not bland and a really good size. The salsa was delicious, a variety from mild to extra spicy The coffee was delicious, fresh and a little hint of cinnamon. This place was recommended to me and I must say I was very pleased. Food was delicious! Very authentic tasting! I stopped in and ordered (4) birria tacos with consommé, plus a side of beans and rice because I have zero self-control when faced with a good menu. I also ordered the wet chili verde asada burrito. To wash it all down, I also grabbed a horchata and piña. Every single bite was packed with flavor. The birria was rich, juicy, and perfectly complemented by the consommé. The burrito was smothered in sauce and absolutely delivered on every level. Even the drinks were fantastic refreshing, flavorful, and the perfect pairing for the meal. But can we talk about the beans for a moment? Because wow. I have only found one other restaurant anywhere that makes beans at this level. Whatever abuelita is doing back there, holy moly, protect that recipe at all costs. The beans had the perfect creaminess, texture, and flavor... comfort food perfection. Honestly, I could eat their beans everyday!! I also love that Oaxaca is such a quaint little restaurant. It has that welcoming neighborhood feel where you instantly relax and settle in. This place I stumbled upon after my doctors visit and was very very hungry. I loved it. The employees were nice they greeted me. The ambiance was very homey reminded me of back home, and the food was delicious! If I had the money at the time I went, I would've ordered more. That sauce was really good. Oh and the horchata!!! The food here is delicious and hard to beat! We were in a rush because we had to be somewhere so we pulled into the drive through, quickly reviewed the menu and placed an order of a chile relleno burrito with rice and beans. This burrito was so flavorful and juicy; I asked for green sauce inside. Both these burritos were so big. My hubby had the wet burrito loaded with meat, rice, beans, cheese and red sauce inside and smothered on the outside. This is not a quick fast food restaurant and although we were in a rush, we understood that they were making everything fresh and that takes time. We didn't go inside, so I don't know the ambiance. We talked about next time going inside. We want to try other items on the menu. I recommend this place for authentic Mexican food! So good! read more

Solid taqueria in a questionable neighborhood with a drive-thru. This experience was strictly in the drive-thru. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of options and the easy to rad menu. Amazingly enough this was found by accident. A friend of mine and I were looking for something good that I could do a drive-thru for. And he wanted a green chili burrito. Hard to find. He looked on the web and saw that they had it and they were close to where he lived. Placed the order over the phone and went to pick it up. First surprise as I pulled up to the window the kitchen was immaculate. I was so impressed with how clean it looked. Then they had agua fresca made out of cantaloupe. Wow! So good. The tacos were on point. The quesadilla with carne asada was fantastic. And the green chili burritos were awesome. It was so good that I went back five times within the next two weeks. read more

Off the busy thoroughfare of Sahara and Valley View, in the northeast shopping complex of this bustling intersection, sits a one-off structure that very obviously used to be something else. This is where you'll find Oaxaca. They go have done outdoor seating, but we opted for the to-go option. They're a bit pricy for the neighborhood, variety, and portions, but we were all in, so we went with it. They only had 3 options on the menu for breakfast burritos, and sadly carne asada wasn't one of them at the price point, so we went with chorizo. It was a little spicy, but not bad. The potatoes were a little al dente, but not bad, and definitely not enough cheese. I didn't enjoy the house salsas, but my husband liked the green sauce. Our food was 3-star for sure, but the service got them a 4th! As soon as we started taking pictures and framing shots, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. I went here for the first time for lunch with some co workers a few weeks ago. I ordered something simple, cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. Disappointed, food was served cold and plate just looked like food was lazily put together and prepared. I took a few bites and and the red sauce on the enchiladas was way too spicy. Rice and beans were bland tasting. Disappointed as this simple plate that was 15.00 and not good enough to have it remade or say anything. My coworkers ordered Pozole and that was disappointing as well, Mostly consume with very little meat and hominy.My coworkers wanted to say something on my behalf and the cook apologized and offered to make me a new plate.
