I love this Place. I am the gringo of them all haha. Customer service is Top Notch to a team where English is their second language. This spot is known for their BEST Carne Asada Meat, Sauces and well ALL their Tacos were superb Very delicious , no fatty pieces of meat or gizzards like most places give you. Fire Muy Bueno. I have been to all 3 Locations but this spot is the OG of them all. I live up in Centennial Hills too

The inside doesn't have a good layout to dine in and can be a bit rundown. This would've been fine though if it had good food, but it unfortunately doesn't. Got the pastor and it was very dry and not all that appetizing, and I was also excited for some tripa tacos, but it was a letdown with the meat a bit gritty. The salsa didn't really help give it a better flavor either. The service though was pretty good, everyone a great help and very friendly. The service was honestly the only good part about the experience.

The menudo was hot and flavorful. It was not as spicy as I would have liked, but mildly spicy. Condiments (onions, cilantro, pickled carrots and Jalapenos) were available on a cooling table. Fountain (Coke products) drinks and fruit juice were available. The utensils were plastic, as was the bowl, but the cost was better $6-4 less than other places. The background music was Mexican. I prefer the music for the ethnicity of the food. Good ambience.

I always call ahead to pick up my to go order. Carne asada burrito and pozole are flavorful. Price is great considering the amount they give. The place could be a smell a little better and a lil cleaner but other than that i don't mind.

If you are looking for a great taco special on a budget but with great flavor this is it ! The service is quick and efficient with much love . Grab your number and wait . The place has many tables to sit down and enjoy with the family .

Asada Burrito with everything. I added extra onion/cilantro

I'm from CA where we have amazing taco spots so I have high expectations when it comes to Mexican food. I've lived out here for 8 years and can say I have finally found my go to taco spot! 10/10! The asada burrito was so delicious! And the salsas are so good too. I will be back!

Heard that the chicken Mole here was exceptionally good on other reviews. It was busy when we got there, but it was my first time trying chicken mole, and it was good. Place is definitely a hole in the wall. But the staff were great at taking the order and making the food.

Caldo de res is delicious, as well as the birria and the menudo that my hubbi loved very much!!! Such a hidden gem, if you love as authentic Mexican food as it gets this is it!!

They've also added a new addition to the restaurant since my last visit; a beautiful bar area that looks amazing! The bartender, Yaz, was absolutely wonderful. We ended up waiting in our cars with the AC on. But I have to say--the wait was completely worth it! The moment you walk inside, the atmosphere is so much fun. The restaurant is busy and lively, with great music, colorful decorations, and so many details inspired by El Chavo del Ocho. I grew up watching the show, so being here brought back so many childhood memories. There are paintings and decorations from the show everywhere--even the bathroom is decorated! Our family was seated in the Escuelita room, and we had an absolute blast. The waiters and staff are even dressed as characters from the show, and they play music from El Chavo del Ocho. It really feels like you've stepped into La Vecindad! Despite how busy the restaurant was, the customer service was great. Our waiter was friendly, patient, helpful, and gave us some excellent food recommendations. And the FOOD! Everything we tried was delicious and seasoned to perfection. The café de olla was amazing--not overly sweet and just perfect. The molcajete was delicious and HUGE; it is definitely large enough for two people to share. We also tried the carnitas plate and carne asada plate, and I highly recommend both. The portions are very generous, so come hungry! I attached a few photos of the restaurant and our food because there is so much to see and enjoy here. Overall, we had such a great experience. Friendly and fun staff, delicious food, great music, large portions, and an amazing nostalgic atmosphere. If you grew up watching El Chavo del Ocho, you'll appreciate this place even more. Highly recommend La Vecindad! We absolutely loved it and would definitely come back!

We went with the mimosas, which were a little pricey at $75 for a bottle of champagne and three different juices, but it's Vegas, so who cares? The real standout was the Matcha Martini. Wow! It was easily my favorite drink of the trip. I'd honestly go back just to have a few more of those. Great food, great drinks, great service, and an awesome atmosphere.
