Glad I hired OC Repipes before disaster struck!
    Bill P.

I feel grateful that I found OC Repipes to replace the 40-year-old failing copper piping in the house I just bought in Laguna Niguel. I just bought a cute little two bedroom two bath house in Laguna Niguel that was built in 1986 and unfortunately it had the original copper piping. I literally just closed escrow and haven't even moved in but knew I needed to have it repiped before disaster struck. From the moment I talked to Slavi on the phone and meeting him in personal, I realized he takes his work very seriously and doesn't cut corners and explained all the details to me about how the process is done and what makes them stand out better than the rest. I was sold right away and wanted to get it done before I moved in. The crew showed up thing this morning and went at it like a fine oiled machine and watching the team work was amazing to say the least. Is it a dirty job changing the pipes, yes but how else are they going to change the pipes without cutting holes in various areas and installing the new high-tech Pex pipe. Yobani, the lead guy showed me various failing pipes and even went out of his way to replace a couple shower and tub assemblies that I had bought. After seeing how hard the team worked and how much effort they put into it and how they double and triple check all of their work I can honestly say I'm going to sleep like a baby knowing I'm not going to have any issues with pinhole leaks in my new home. The best part is the price was fair and reasonable and honestly I would have paid a little bit more because these guys are that good! If you're looking to have your house repiped then look no further than OC Repipes and you can thank me later!

I highly recommend OC Repipes and its owner, Slavi, for repiping work. I was referred to this company by friends who used their service a couple of years ago and were very satisfied. After interviewing several repipe contractors, I chose OC Repipes, and I'm glad I did--they did a fantastic job. See attached photos. I will definitely refer them to other friends and neighbors.

We were 'íncentivized' by our home owners insurance to have our house repiped after filing a claim for a water leak last September. They would not renew our policy if we didn't have a ceramic coating installed or do a full repipe. We chose to repipe as it seemed to be more long lasting than doing a coating. After contacting a number of repiping companies we chose OC Repipes due to the amount of service they could provide at a reasonable cost. Andy was my initial contact and Slavi was the site manager. Both are great to work with. We did need to get an asbestos survey done prior to any work. With 52 year old drywall, they did find asbestos. We had that remediated by another company and then OC Repipes repiped the entire house in one day not counting closing up the walls. The walls were done the next day. All aspects of the job were done with great skill and efficiency. I would highly recommend contacting OC Repipes. See photos attached. It's pretty ugly until it's not.

This is one of those reviews where I wish zero was an option. These guys were subcontracted out to work on my HOA during a repipe project that started in July and finished up in early November. My unit was worked on from late August into early September 2019, but if you read on, you'll see I am still dealing with the ramifications. Personally I wouldn't let a single one of these people near my house again. My baseboards in everyone of my bathrooms was destroyed near the toilet. Some were chipped beyond repair, so now I have to save up money to buy new baseboards, and to pay for someone to come fix them because that skill is beyond my minuscule handyman abilities. The cuts behind the toilets were also large. The debris they left in every room of my house was absolutely unbelievable. To this day, I am finding debris in random places even though I have vacuumed countless times. My washer/dyer was put back crooked, and I had to wait several days for them to come out and fix it. I realize this may seem like a small complaint but I had just had surgery and couldn't lift anything. Also, if they are hired to do a job, why not do it right the first time? They also messed with my shower pressure, and they had to come back to fix my shower head that was working before the repipe process started. I had to hire a plumber to come and make the water pressure right and test all the lines. The cuts in the shower where they cut into the tile were also very obvious, so I'm hoping that this aesthetic doesn't damage my houses' value when I go to resell. They knocked a burner knob off my stove, which I actually wouldn't have known about except for JJ said something about "we broke it and had to buy a new one" in a passing remark as he was about to leave my house. They broke my dishwasher latch that was not broken before the repipe process started. Again, I couldn't use my dishwasher for about a week until they got the part and had someone out to fix it. Perhaps the worst thing they did was leave stucco and debris that still to this day, five months after the job, is stuck to my balcony. I will say that after all the screw ups, JJ came back and fixed some things that were messed up. He tried to get the stucco off my balcony and couldn't get most of it, but he did get some. He was at my house for a while trying to figure out the dishwasher, and I know he is not an appliance repair man. He also came back by order of the management company, Ross Construction (who should quit the construction game and immediately begin a career in snake oil salesmanship, they'd do a far better job) and fixed things that other contractors screwed up such as shoddy paint work and spills. I know JJ had to be the workhorse for Ross in other units, so, my anger with him as a the man in charge aside (I am unsure if he was the official foreman), I saw him work his fingers to the bone in many units in my area. I understand that this past summer was particularly brutal and they were working in units that may have not had AC or the power was turned off for part of the day and it was hot. I understand they were under a lot of pressure to finish a lot of units in a timely manner, but, if as a company you don't have the manpower, skill, or care to do a job of that size, defer to someone who can.

I appreciated the work they put in to ensure everything is up to code (and then some additional safety measures!). Sam was the tech who came by promptly and he was friendly and professional. I also had my pressure release valve and spigot replaced. All good. Based on my research, they used a high quality Bradford White tank and Wilkins PRV, so I'm happy with that. I appreciate the quick responsiveness and willingness to answer my questions because I tend to be an overanalyzer.

They were transparent about pricing and recommended additional services to bring the installation up to current Orange County code. I confirmed this with another specialist, so I knew they weren't pushing unnecessary upsells. Everything was clearly itemized so I understood exactly what I was paying for. I communicated with Zach throughout, who provided excellent customer service. Whenever I reached out to him, he often responded within minutes, scheduled quickly, and was super accommodating when I had to move the appointment up. Initially, I was only getting lukewarm water, but when it turned completely cold the next day, I reached out after-hours. Zach replied first thing in the morning and arranged to move the appointment up to that afternoon. They gave me a 2-hour window (12:30-2:30pm), and Nick arrived promptly at 12:30pm, so I did not have to wait. He completed the installation efficiently in about 90 minutes, and cleaned up thoroughly. Zach even followed up the next day to ensure everything was working to my satisfaction. Compared to others I contacted, WHD offered a high quality service and craftsmanship at a competitive price. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality water heater service.

Truly an Honest Review -…read more First off, The Water Heater Company fixed the issue with the pilot light on our Rheem Professional water heater, which had been going out after hours or days of use. This had happened in the past when we first purchased the unit about four years ago. At that time, I replaced the burner assembly and control valve, and the problem was solved. I never found out the exact cause, but it was fixed. Fast forward to today, and the same issue started happening again. Unfortunately, I was away on business, and my wife was home with the kids, getting tired of relighting the pilot every morning and sometimes multiple times during the day. We called The Water Heater Company, and their service and communication were excellent. After diagnosing the issue, they contacted Rheem and ordered replacement parts under warranty: the burner assembly and control valve. They gave us three options: replace the two parts under warranty, replace the entire water heater, or install a tankless water heater. Because this is a very expensive unit that otherwise works well, we chose to repair it. Here's my honest opinion. As a fellow tradesman, I understand that skilled work is expensive. Still, the labor charge of $800 felt very high for what was essentially a warranty part replacement. The first visit took about an hour, and the second visit took around 50 minutes. I understand there's drive time, phone calls, office staff, insurance, tools, and scheduling overhead, but it still seemed excessive. Maybe I'm looking at it through the eyes of someone who usually handles these kinds of repairs myself, but I was away for an extended period and needed the problem resolved. So I'm torn on the rating. Quality of work: 10/10. Professionalism: 10/10. Price: 4/10. In the end, though, I paid for peace of mind and have the issue fixed correctly than save a little money and end up with a possible poor repair.
