Was in the area and haven't had dim sum in over a year, so made a quick stop. I ordered egg tarts, turnip cake and stuffed bean curd. The winner was the egg tart-flaky crust, creamy egg, and lightly sweet making this a delicious dessert snack! The turnip cake was not heavy or oily which I'm glad and devoured it. The stuffed bean curd had good flavor but the bean curd was a bit hard and chewy. Overall, a decent place for dim sum. Staff and customers are all adhering to safety guidelines. The entrees are pretty good, chow mein and bitter melon are the ones I like best. They have lunch specials with complimentary soup and hot tea. Iced lemon tea is inexpensive and refillable too. They also have special cakes you can purchase during Chinese New Year. They make to go containers of popular items at dim sum: turnip cake, taro cake, and nien goh (lotus paste cake). Nien goh can be sliced up, battered with egg, and fried for a special treat (see picture). Parking Private lot gets pretty busy, especially during the lunch hour. It is also easy since you can just mark down on the paper what items you want and they will bring it out for you. Everything that comes out is hot and delicious. Not bad, I always get it to-go and visit occasionally if I am near or driving by. I have sat here a couple of times. The chives cake I wish there was one all veggies too but it's only mixed with pork. The pan fried meat and veggie bao/bun was cold when I ate it at home. I was looking for a place to order dim sum during the lockdown and luckily Ocean Bo is open. The line looks long at first but it goes pretty fast since everyone is just picking up to go. They call you in one by one and you just tell them exactly what you want. I would say pay a little attention to when they are packing your stuff because they ended up giving me three extra orders and charging me for it. I can still eat it but it was just a lot of extra food, which is why I knocked it down a star. They are very friendly and helpful. I was ordering for both me and my friend and they were nice enough to bag everything separately. The food is very tasty. Even after dropping off food at my friends house, when I came home the food was still warm and all of the fried stuff was still super crunchy. The shrimp noodle rolls were a little thick, but everything else was very good! Parking is abundant and credit card is okay after a certain amount, it was either 10-20 I don't remember the exact amount. The prices are low as well, between 3.50-4.50. Other places are charging $5 dollars each plate so this place is cheaper compared to other places. I will definitely be back next time I am craving Dim Sum to go! read more

Stopped by here for the first time today. The lines move quickly and there are social distance markers on the floor. All the staff wear masks. They have a good variety of dimsum to choose from. We enjoyed our meal when we brought it home. However, towards the end of our meal when we almost finished everything we found a piece of metal in the har gow! Not sure where it would be from or how it even got in there but definitely ruined our appetite for the rest of the meal. Won't be returning for awhile unfortunately. My coworkers and I came here last Friday to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival early. There were a total of 6 of us and they ordered 22 dishes. Hey, I just showed up and said, "Order what you want". Most of the items were ok, and they came out pretty quickly, but compared to the other dim sum places I've been to in the SGV and in Hong Kong especially, this was alright. Their bean curd wrapped veggies was pretty good, and their taro and turnip cake was hot and pan-fried well. I hate how other places make their turnip cake so soft sometimes because they fall apart when you try to pick them up with your chopsticks. The turnip cake was dense enough- just like the ones I loved having as a kid. Their har gow was actually pretty good. My family doesn't order this one as much, but the shrimp here was good and the thickness of the wrapper was perfect. Shumai, chicken's feet, BBQ pork bun, spareribs, and ham sui gok were all alright. The fried taro puffs were pretty nasty. It was cold and filled with oil and too dense. The outer layer wasn't light and decadent like the ones I've had at other places. Mango pudding and coconut and taro pudding were both alright. I haven't gotten sweets at dim sum places since I was a kid, but these were nice and refreshing. The plus side to this was when I went to look at the takeout counter, I found my favorite dim sum items of ALL TIME (besides chicken's feet). They had chive dumplings/ gow choy dumpling with pork and shrimp. There are only a few places I can find these nowadays and they have 3 for $2.30 before tax here, which was alright. I had one despite being unhilariously full because the lady gave me fresh ones that they just pan-fried and the chives were so fragrant. The taste was excellent and I would have ordered more if I didn't eat so much earlier... Other than that, most people were either ordering entrees or dim sum. I saw that they had huge plates of salt and pepper squid (drooling here) and beef chow fun amongst other dishes. I may come back just to stuff myself with salt and pepper squid and try other dishes. Arrived here around 6:30pm on Thursday and was seated right away (basically empty during this time)! This mini plaza has a parking lot (may be packed during certain day/hours). Location is pretty chill and very small (great for groups). Service was nice but you have to wave them down. Door seems to be always open so there was some flys around (just don't let it land on your food haha). Favorite local place to get dim sum. Normally we get dim sum to go to avoid the tea charge and just eat at home. The shrimp rice rolls (ha cheung fun), shrimp dumplings (ha gao), and mango pudding here are delicious. I think the fried rice here isn"t my favorite, though. The signs says it opens at 8am but i always arrive there around 7:30am and they already have some of the food out. Their prices in my opinion is a little high. Not sure about if they have specials like other chinese restaurants, $2 something for each item. I usually order the rice noodles, beef or the BBQ pork ones. Its very soft but maybe its due to all that oil that they use. I also like their BBQ pork buns, baked ones and steamed ones. The pineapple bbq pork buns are good but they only come with 2 buns for $2 something with tax. It has a flaky crust on top with a warm soft bread filled with sweet bbq pork meat. yummy! My go to spot for dim sum in the area. Are there better spots in the sgv? Yes. However you won't find any better dim sum within 3 miles. This place doesn't boast the best quality dim sum but bang for buck it's pretty decent. You can eat in or order out as there is a station in front where you can order your dim sum to go. The regular dinner items aren't bad either as I have been here only a few times for dinner. Definitely one of the better places for Chinese food in this area. My husband, parents and in laws used to meet up during the week for dim sum brunch. I used to work nearby and so does my husband, so we'd all meet here for lunch. The service is very quick and friendly. They have the runny egg yolk pineapple buns here, which is a favorite for a lot of their patrons. Some of my favorite dinner dishes we've gotten from here are tofu with scallop (comes in a gravy sauce), deep fried squab (needs to be pre-ordered a day in advance), friend calamari and the sweet and sour pork dish. We ordered the deep fried squab for Father's Day weekend and it was nice and crispy, not over-cooked/fried. While I was waiting for my order to be ready, a lot of people came in AND called in for their lobster yee-mien. The guy sold out of lobsters within 15 minutes.
