This is the fourth time I get food to go at Ocean buffet and can only say it is such a great deal! For 14.99 a pound you can fill up your box with sushi, sashimi, seafood and steak. If you do a mix between these 4 and other hot food such as fried chicken it comes down to 12.99 a pound. I was during my first visit and still am happy to see sushi and sashimi with this quality at a buffet. Will keep coming back.

2.75 stars. I cannot recommend this restaurant for dinner. We were here Monday night for dinner but our high expectations turn down hill. The restaurant is well decorated. High ceiling with good welcome courtyard. We did not see gingerbread lobster but that did not turn us down. The blue crab is big but the meat is powdery. What find the best is bull frog leg. The baby clam just below average. Sushi is very weak on selection. I have been many buffet sushi but here not up to the standard. The stone crab meat is shred easily. Dim sum also weak. Soup is just ok. Now come to very basic. The stir fry noodles not meet the requirements bouncy and tasty. Even the string bean with garlic stir fry is not good either. My wife likes the snow crab. I don't know they have the off day today. But I doubt it. The hibachi choice also weak. May be I have too many good buffet.

This is a good buffet. Lots of options, especially if you enjoy seafood. Crab legs, chicken, sushi, and hibachi options. The service was good, our waitress was very pushy for us to leave when we were done, which I didn't appreciate. But the food is fresh and good. We came on Friday night at 630. There was no wait. We will definitely be back again.

The food here was surprisingly fresh, with helpful staff, and an eclectic restaurant layout reminiscent of the type of establishment. Some people might say that the buffet itself was limited in variety, but that fact seems inconsequential when compared to the outstanding flavor of all of the available food. Some of the silverware was a little tricky to find around the buffet, but overall the experience was outstanding. My two young children loved it. We rarely go to buffets and went here to celebrate. Well worth it in the end!

Ok so I finally had a chance to try out the newest addition to the Chinese buffet scene right here in Orlando... and let me just say... I was pleasantly surprised. So after months of seeing this new spot all over social media with all types of mixed reviews... I decided to give it a try for dinner this week. This restaurant is located in the same plaza as the Fashion Square Mall with access to plenty of parking. Upon entering, I was taken back by how huge their waiting patio is... and the inside seating/buffet area was super spacious and very clean! I was fortunate enough to get seated immediately. There was a big variety of fresh seafood, sushi, Chinese, and dim sum options. They even had a build your own hibachi station with chefs available to cook your items right in front of you. I would have to say the standout items for me were definitely the seafood...it was all super fresh and was replenished fairly quickly. Now for the important question... was the buffet worth the price?... so for dinner I paid 34.99 before taxes and tip (lunch prices are a bit cheaper)... I would say that it is worth it...ONLY IF... you indulge in the higher priced item on the buffet line like the seafood, sushi, and steak... If you are primarily there for just Chinese food then I would recommend coming during lunch prices. Shout out to all the servers who were all hustling to tend to their tables, with grabbing refills and clearing plates. You all are rockstars!

Very top of the line seafood buffet , lots of fancy dishes , including lobster , lots of many options , staff was very attentive and they did really good on food choices except on dessert area is boring with the choices they have , price could be a little high but they compensate for the deluxe items they served , place is big and comfortable

Have you ever gone to a restaurant , or in this case, a buffet and craved it so much you couldn't wait to go back? That's exactly what happened with us at Ocean Buffet. After our first visit last week, we were already planning the next one. With Presidents Day giving us the perfect excuse, we brought family and friends along so they could experience it too and it absolutely did not disappoint. This visit was just as delicious as the first. With such a wide variety of options, I headed straight for the sushi bar and paired it with some ribs and wow. Everything was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The sushi was perfectly prepared, and the ribs were tender and just right. On my next round, I loaded up on fried rice with chicken and vegetables, which was equally satisfying. My kids loved the hibachi station, especially being able to customize their plates with noodles, rice, and their choice of meats. It's always a win when everyone in the family finds something they genuinely enjoy. Needless to say, Ocean Buffet is officially becoming a regular dining spot for us. Great variety, fresh food, and a consistently tasty experience -- we'll definitely be back!

As far as Buffetts go this one is solid. The seating area is massive. They have 3 sushi chefs. They have multiple hibachi chefs. Cold and hot seafood. 5 soups to choose from clam chowder to miso to egg drop and wonton. Come hungry is all I can say. I was pleasantly surprised by the sushi quality and the chicken and broccoli.

Visited Ocean Buffet on Christmas Day. It was 36.99 including all you can eat lobster tail. I was thoroughly excited about that aspect. It didn't disappoint, I had two good size lobster tail that I enjoyed. I also enjoyed sashimi, salt and pepper crab, ginger lobster, a salty egg bun. Just to name a few. I do feel I got my moneys worth too. My husband does not like seafood and fish and enjoyed the hibachi and other non seafood options including different noodles. Drinks are additional. Service is nice and the ambiance is nice and new and spacious.

Went to Ocean Buffet with my brother and a coworker right when they opened and everything looked really clean and fresh. You can tell they keep the place well maintained. The setup is really nice too, very open and modern, not your typical crowded buffet feel at first. There's a lot of variety here. I honestly wanted to try everything so I just took small portions from different stations. The soups really stood out to me. I tried the wonton, clam chowder, and hot and sour and all of them had really good flavor, not bland at all. Sushi section had a good selection and everything looked fresh. Hot food area had plenty of options and was fully stocked when we got there. I also liked the fruit and dessert area, nice mix so you are not just eating heavy food the whole time. Service was smooth and staff kept things clean and organized. It did start getting pretty crowded about 30 minutes in, so coming early definitely helped. Definitely coming back again, just need to show up with a bigger appetite next time because there is no way to try everything in one visit

I've been hearing a lot about Oceans Buffet lately (specifically the large amount of food offerings), so when my husband and I were in Orlando the other night, we decided to give them a try. We arrived about 2 hours before closing on a Sunday night and they were still packed. We scanned the QR code at the hostess stand in order to join the waitlist and waited outside in their huge front patio/waiting area for about 45 minutes before we were texted that our table was ready. Apparently, they also texted about 4 other parties that their table was ready as well, so there was a bit of confusion as to who was texted first/truly next in line but it was shortly resolved. The restaurant is large, spacious and clean with modern decor using light wood tones and the color orange. Booth and table seating is available and my husband and I were seated at a table. The wait staff was attentive and took away dirty dishes quickly. There were a lot of people, so navigating the buffet was a bit challenging at times but not a big deal. There truly is a lot of food offerings in theory but there were at least 10 empty dishes the first time we went through the buffet line. However, throughout the evening, dishes were continually refilled and new offerings joined the buffet, but there were still a handful of empty dishes at any given moment. Later in the night, we saw brisket and chicken teriyaki skewers join the buffet. The chicken skewers were my favorite of the chicken dishes and my husband really liked the brisket, but it was gone very quickly from the buffet. We both thought the sweet and sour chicken was overcooked and tough and I couldn't finish the piece of ham that I got as it had no flavoring and the texture was too chewy. At one point in the event, lobster (in the form of a seafood boil) made an appearance but the three men in front of me piled their plates high with the lobster as soon as it arrived on the buffet, leaving nothing but empty shells for the rest of us. I wanted to look for vegetable sushi on the sushi table but very few sushi rolls were labeled, so I passed. Most of the food that we tried was average in taste when compared to other Asian buffets and my husband thought that the $31.99 per adult was overpriced. We were glad that we checked out Oceans Buffet to see what the "hype" was about but we won't be making any future plans to return as

I came for lunch today and plan to return for dinner one day to see the difference. At $17, lunch was very good. Many love their sushi. I like the soups, Hibachi, and the stir frying stations. The sushi portions are a bit smaller, to me. I tried the sashimi in small cups, but it tasted a little sour. I took a star for that. Great services. They sang birthday song aside your table while the music plays the song. That's nice. Boys, I missed the Crazy Buffet which I ran back in 2000s.

Nice to see the Fashion Square mall get a new tenant! I was excited to see a new restaurant pop up! They've been opened for about a week now, and I've heard good things. They've were packed when we arrived at 7p on a Wednesday, which is a good sign. We waited about 10 minutes to be sat. We got our drinks, then it was off to the buffet line. They had a huge array of Asian foods! I started with the sushi, which was extremely fresh and delicious! Surprisingly good quality for a buffet! Course two was Dim Sum with Xiao Long Bao and Shu Mi. Both excellent! There was this black bun that didn't taste good. It oozed what taste and smelt like bad egg yolk. I recommend avoiding it. The crab legs were picked over, with small legs being the only thing left. The hot table had the usual Chinese buffet offering. The Pineapple Sticky Rice was fantastic though! They also had Hibachi, but there was a decent wait for it. The desserts were hit and miss though. The coffee pastry was the best one. The restaurant had a good amount of seating and was well spaced out. It's worth trying once, but the value for the price really isn't there. Also highly annoying waiting for the one set of tongs with a line of people for any given dish. Poor layout for cross contamination too.

It was actually recommended by the CEO of my workplace. I'm happy to say that it didn't disappoint because the food was delicious. The theme is all about the sea and it adds to the experience. Since we went for lunch, we ordered from their lunch menu. Some got popcorn shrimp, oysters, peel and eat shrimp and more. For the pre fix we tried the lobster ( chewy) the mini scallops which were a good portion and value although I did not love the seasoning the crab cake was dry and bland but no celery so yay no allergic reaction for me The mushroom stuffed crab was good The grilled tuna was good as well luckily sauce was on the side The crab legs were cold but a good portion. The desert was disappointing and they wouldn't switch the pre fix dessert for the birthday kid which considering how many of us there were they cuda made it happen for her. Come back for the oysters and the fish bowls.

The skimpy amount of seafood I got was not good, not cooked well, or served with undercooked potatoes. It shook me. Especially for a Winter Park restaurant. After my five year statute of limitations passed on repeating restaurants, I looked for the perfect opportunity to come back and try again. I found that opportunity recently with a few friends for brunch. Their brunch menu looked amazing, so we made our reservation and came on by. Ambiance is actually really nice. Right off one of the main WP roads, gigantic windows look out upon the street as passersby roam from shop to shop. Inside looks like an ocean-side sea shack, but an upper middle class one. Very nice little ocean-themed chotchkies adorn the walls, very cozy. Service was also great. Very nice server, very prompt food delivery, and they gave complimentary bread with a delightful butter. I always adore free bread. We started off sharing the Seafood Fritters (Four savory puppies, stuffed with lobster, shrimp, scallops, clams, grouper, onions, corn, poblano peppers, served with a zesty tartar sauce). If all five of those seafoods really were in there, there must have been only a few molecules each, but there was undoubtedly flavors from most of that list, and they were accentuated with the poblano. Topped with that zesty tartar, and this was an A+ app. I had the Lobster Benedict Royale (Chunks of Maine lobster on fried green tomatoes & house-baked buttermilk biscuits, topped with poached eggs & Hollandaise, sprinkled with paprika & chopped green onions). This was indulgent. Pure luxury. A warm biscuit with a good flakiness, that fried green tomato with the perfect thickness and thin, delicate coating, and those perfectly cooked jumbo chunks of lobster on top, all covered in an unctuous Hollandaise. Exactly as it sounds, as advertised, the perfect seafood brunch item. I also got to try the Shrimp Frittata (Wild-caught Florida shrimp, fresh eggs, spinach, Campari tomatoes, goat cheese, caramelized onions, baked in a cast-iron skillet, with wheat toast, butter & a little mixed green salad). This was a fun dish. Good shrimps, well-cooked eggs, a nice tang from that goat, and of course a nice crunchy toast to help make it even more interesting. I didn't like that random salad on the side. Just get bigger cast irons and make the frittata bigger. Overall, what a redemption. I'm not sure what was wrong back in the day, but this is a five star place now that I will happily return to when it's time.

Feels somewhat like a small-town diner. The menu has awesome choices, but there's a ton of stuff that is $30+ (several $50+) and I really didn't want to spend that much on lunch. I picked a snapper sandwich with a side caesar & my friend got a shrimp quesadilla. They came out about 10-15 mins later. price seemed a bit high, but i know costs have skyrocketed lately, so them's the breaks. The fish on my sandwich was flavorful - but very dry. Would have been better cooked with some kind of fat. The bread was fluffy & nice, but fell apart right away. The veggies in the sandwich were fresh & bright. The caesar side was amazing. they gave me tartar & ketchup, so i asked for cocktail sauce because ketchup is weird for this. No problem. I didn't even finish half because it was so big! My friend's quesadilla was very tasty, but for some reason, it's an absolute oil slick. So the opposite end of the spectrum lol. She enjoyed it but couldn't finish because it was too greasy. There was a thick layer of oil on the plate and on the quesadilla. The ladies working there are really nice & helpful. They checked on us several times. I paid really fast & they got us out the door in less than 45 minutes! I would love to get some of the fancier stuff sometime, but would probably want to eat it elsewhere, because the diner feel doesn't match how fancy the food is.
