This is a must visit for me every year. It's not an official vacation in Sandbridge until I get my steamed crab legs, crab chowder and clam strips . It's so good we usually stop by at least twice ! If you are near by don't forgot to give it a chance !

    Boat drinks!

Loved this place, starting with the rum cocktails served in old school plastic cups. Our server was great and let us try the Hatteras clam chowder, which was broth based and full of clams and bacon. Delicious. The she-crab chowder was thick and heavy and no match for the Hatteras. But our server also suggested the steamed seafood platter and we split it. I'm glad we did. It was filled with steamed shrimp doused in butter and old bay, Alaskan crab legs, local Oysters and clams. The restaurant does get pretty crowded in the summer, and we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table, but they keep things moving, and there is a big seating area in the back room as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm glad we sat in the front - and the outside seat seating is cool too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A great experience. Try the signature rum drink!

Old time crab shop quite popular. Also serves wide variety of fish! Fried oyster were yummy! She crabs soup was hearty!

The bang bang shrimp saved them from 2 stars, bang bang shrimp is really good. Catfish was not good, even after lemon and sauce. Slaw was so watery it was dripping all over the table. Maybe I didn't order the right stuff. The key lime pie was pretty good but not worth the hype online, half frozen so I didn't get the best of it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Liked the outdoor seating a lot and the service was fast, very cute spot just not impressed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Seafood was unmistakenly fresh. Key lime pie was to die for! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambience was family friendly[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the servers were a whole vibe. Loved the visit and whenever I return to the area, I will be eating here again! Thank you for great food and a good time!

Visited Margie and Ray's while vacationing in Sandbridge based on the Yelp reviews. Our party of 5 got there around 6:45 and were given a wait time of 60 minutes. It was a beautiful night so we were happy to sit on the front deck with drinks from the bar while we waited. The waitlist was online so we probably could have left the premises if we wanted to. The list went fast and we were seated within 40 minutes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables have your traditional crab house look with white paper as tablecloths and a roll of paper towels on the table. (That's how you know it's going to be good!)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was Mel and she was quick to get us drinks and take our order. We ordered mainly steamed seafood and it came out quickly and hot. Everything was cooked perfectly. I'm picky about my crab legs and they were easy to crack and deshell. We were full but took a slice of coconut cream and bananas cream pies to go. We enjoyed them later that night and they were as delicious as advertised!

My boyfriend and I arrived here on a Friday around 10 and they have valet which we absolutely loved because the parking lot can be tricky. So all you have to do is pull up behind the restaurant and they will park your car. We were expecting a huge wait time, originally they told us 45 minutes and we ended up only waiting 25 minutes. That time flew by, while you wait they have a small bar outside to enjoy and they have the cutest little gift shop. While we waited the worker inside the gift shop was the sweetest and she gave us some backstory about the Bee and the Biscuit. After 25 minutes we sat down. We didn't know what to order since everything sounded great but I got the Steak and Eggs Griddle (Medium Rare) and my partner got the Cowboy Benedict. Both were so delicious, please beware you will most likely not finish your food. They give great portions. I can't wait to come back to try more of there entrees it was truly an amazing place.

You will require this, as well as the outdoor bar and large outdoor seating area, because it is likely that you will be waiting before you have the opportunity to be seated and take advantage of the food offerings. With the parking out-of-the-way, and your expectation that you will be waiting about the length of a feature film behind you during busy periods, let's get to the food. There is a straightforward charm, and there are biscuits, but the value add really isn't there for the amount of time investment and at the price point. Service is workmanlike and pleasant, seating is tight as you might imagine. To be fair, there is some creativity in the dish naming and drink presentation. Taken on its own merits, I would rate it as a three out of five. This is the sort of place that generates a lot of attention and buzz because of its location in an affluent area and because of word of mouth. But the fare is not of such a spectacular quality that the peak hour waits justify.

We got there a little earlier in the evening, arriving around 5:30PM on a Tuesday night and the place was packed! We were still able to score a seat along the windows overlooking the creek. This entire place was so busy and there was so many staff too - Hard to believe from looking at the small ranch of a house that the restaurant is housed in. Lots of families here too. Their menu is quite nice with many options. We started with their blackened tuna bites, which came out as a big blackened tuna steak that had slices in it, but was still "assembled" on the plate. The wasabi dipping sauce it came with was outstanding and so very spicy! The tuna itself didn't look very appealing at all, but WOW, the flavor was great! And when dipped into the wasabi sauce, the combo of both was so good! Out entrées were the imperial mahi - which I asked for them to blacken my mahi. This dish is basically a mahi filet with a crab cake on top and then the entire thing is smothered in the she crab soup - it was so very flavorful! The she crab soup was really good by itself, but the crab cake mixed with it tasted great! The blackened mahi was really tasty too. I tried their broccoli as a side and had very low expectations for it, but WOW, that broccoli was outstanding! So fresh and flavorful! They've made some updates since my last review. I noticed they swapped out the bar stools for what seem to be a bit more accommodating in style. They added cushion to the church benches, although they are a bit "grippy". They updated the other bar and also the outside area. I believe they have a cornhole section and from what I could tell, an area that could be really fun during the warmer months. The overall vibe is so quirky, cool, different, and I just love how it's decorated. The other locations have the same sort of intrigue but in much different ways. I still love the OG Bay Local and probably need to visit there again to be reminded of why we fell in love in the first place, but the location on General Booth... hard to beat, especially being so close. Another positive is the food quantity, quality, and price for what you are getting. Sure, almost every food establishment had to raise their price, but Bay Local seem to be very reasonable, ESPECIALLY for what you get. I know several other places that have good food, but you are paying several dollars more for what Bay Local offers that is similar (in some cases) but not slacking on portion control and quality. That is huge! Bay Local is a "well-oiled machine" with management, staff, and operations (not their first rodeo). The staff are attentive, friendly, fast in service, including fixing anything that may not have been correct, and still hold the quality of what they offer. Congrats to a great establishment, and it will remain on the top slots of our brunch list!

The game itself was lively, well-paced, and everyone seemed to have a great time. The patio where the event was held is beautiful, and it was spacious enough for the crowd. The only downside to the seating was that some guests ended up behind a wall where they could hear the caller but couldn't actually see her or the plants being awarded. One suggestion that I think would make the event even better is the prize structure. When there are ties, the winners have to play rock-paper-scissors to determine who gets the plant. While that's part of the fun, I felt bad for the people who won their bingo card but ultimately went home with a donated T-shirt, soil, or plant food instead of a plant. Even a small, inexpensive plant for the runner-up would make the experience feel more rewarding, especially since the event is centered around plants. The food and service were a bit of a mixed experience. I ordered the California Club with sweet potato fries, and it was delicious. However, the menu was more limited than expected, and we were told some of the regular menu items (including the tacos!) weren't available during the event. Our server was genuinely pleasant and did the best she could, but she appeared to be covering more tables than one person reasonably should. Service was slow, and we had to remind her about our drinks after our food had already arrived. It felt more like a staffing issue than a service issue. One thing I didn't care for was the payment process. We were only brought a credit card slip with the total to add a tip and sign after our card had already been charged. We had to specifically ask for an itemized receipt to review the charges. I would have preferred the opportunity to see the bill before my card was run or at least have the option to use a different payment method. The event advertising was also a little misleading. The description said, "Join us for 20 rounds of bingo, raffle entries, plant prizes, tacos & drinks!" Based on that wording, it certainly sounded like tacos and non-alcoholic beverages were included with the ticket price. Instead, everything had to be purchased separately, and we were told the tacos (which are on the regular restaurant menu) weren't even available during the event due to the limited event menu. Clarifying that food and drinks are available for purchase would help set better expectations. Despite those issues, we genuinely enjoyed ourselves. I was fortunate enough to win one of the plants, and it's beautiful. My suggestions are simply things I think would make an already fun event even better for everyone. The energy of Plant Bingo, the beautiful patio, the organized check-in, and the friendly atmosphere made for an enjoyable evening, and with a few improvements to the prize distribution, staffing, payment process, and event advertising, it could easily become an even better experience.

The check-in process was seamless; my group received our bingo cards and the flyer outlining the 20 game plays, and we appreciated the flexibility of the indoor and outdoor seating. The service was both friendly and efficient. We were required to start a tab; I was unsure if this is standard policy or specific to the event, but either way it worked out well. I ordered the Baja bowl: grilled chicken, black beans, corn, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, and avocado served on cilantro-lime rice topped with tortilla strips and Aji Verde sauce. My bowl was delicious, fresh and portioned just right. The plant selections for the prizes were great, I actually won a Pothos Yellow Flame. I do have two suggestions: 1. Consider having extra plant prizes available for tie-breaking rounds instead of playing rock-paper-scissors. If you win you deserve a plant. 2. It would be helpful if guests were provided with a copy of their bill to verify for accuracy before their card is charged and the tab is closed. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the event. I look forward to returning to Sage Kitchen soon.

Although we sat outside (because we were dining with a dog), we never had to wait too long for the waitress to check on us. Every 5-10 minutes, she dropped by to make sure things were going well and to refill our coffee. Since The Egg Bistro has a HUGE breakfast menu, I'm sure everyone should be able to find something that they will/might enjoy. For my dining pleasure, I tried something new and went with the Bennie & the Grits. This dish piqued my interest because I never heard of grits cakes in the four decades of living on this planet. For about 20 bucks, the dish included three fried grit cakes with ground sausage, grilled shrimp, more sausage, two poached eggs and a side. Although the serving size was HUGE, I was not a bit fan of the dish. Note, I didn't think the dish was prepared badly, I just didn't get the concept of the fried grits (this from a grits lover); however, everything else with the dish was pretty good. If you are a Bloody Mary lover, you might some interesting varieties of Bloody Marys here. Additionally, I really appreciated that The Egg Bistro ranks the Bloody Marys based on spice level. Overall, I definitely would not mind visiting this location during a future trip to Va Beach. The only (very) minor issue that I had was that the outdoor seating is right next to the parking lot so you might experience some exhaust fumes/smoke while eating if you chose to dine outside. Again, this would not have been a (very) minor issue if we were not dining with a dog.
