Deli is gettin 2 stars right now, they have a new kid makin sandos and 3 times in a row now hes made my sandwich incorrectly, completely skimps on meat and cheese its like hes making a sandwhich for a 5 year old. Next time ill ask him to cut it into triangles for me. I ordered a half pint of pasta salad aswell and he cant even fill the container until its full. Guess ill go pay double at colombos for awhile until he moves along. read more

This is a great stop to make for your road trip or beach trip. It has everything you need, and it's close to the freeway. Great selection of local, regional, and national food and alcohol, and fair prices. The deli features tons of fresh, delicious salads, and the deli-made sandwiches are pretty good. When was the last time you were asked, "Can I help you find anything" at a grocery store? Hell, I don't even think that I have ever been asked! My friend who lives close by told me that I would LOVE this market because of the awesome cheese and variety of gourmet and local goods. I decided to do my Mother's Day shopping there and came out with Italian cookies, a beautiful candle, flowers, and 2 bottles of awesome Riesling! I was very impressed with their wine selection that I picked up a bottle of a Sicilian red for $8.99 that tasted more like a $20 bottle. Whoever their wine buyer is does an awesome job! They do sell gift cards which I think is an awesome gift all year round to hook your fam/homies up to treat themselves with something unique and/or yummy. It's also rare for me to see my favorite sparkling water, Topo Chico, at stores but they had a huge variety! I almost felt inclined to ask if they were hiring because the workers were friendly and upbeat. Good job to the store manager for hiring great people and keeping it a pleasant shopping experience during COVID-19. read more

+1 star - Wells Fargo ATM, parking never an issue +1 star - admirable selection of organic meat & produce, natural health & vitamins/supplements (considering the sign outside doesn't say Whole Paycheck!). Also really unique selection of uncommon brands and various food items, as well as refrigerated deli meals and treats. +1 star - NEURO drinks almost always in stock, all flavors...excellent juice and drink selection (in general)!!! +1 star - I like they place, the staff is generally friendly and very helpful. Hey...support small local businesses. Sure, sometimes they have items on the shelves that are past the expiration date, but I get the feeling that a place like this doesn't have the luxury of a huge staff and that they're doing the best they can for the most part. This local grocery market is great! Though a little pricey, you can always find ingredients you may not necessarily be able to find in a regular grocery store, such as imported Italian pasta, all varieties of canned beans and every type of flour in existence. Not to mention the nice selection of gourmet cheeses from many local farmsl Also, very nice produce department which features not only local fruits and veggies but also a big section of nuts, dried fruit (and candy!). I love having a large organic grocery store in the neighborhood. Some things I love about Oceana Market are: -The fresh salsa, dips and spreads in the deli area -The discontinued wine specials -The fresh sausage in the meat section (lamb sausage, mmmm!) -Good customer service -Lots of foreign, hard to find products -And if you get a special card they give a percentage of your total to a local school of your choice Yeah, it's more pricey than Safeway but worth the trip for the specialty products. read more

Hands down, favorite grocery store. The Hot bar is pretty good, but the sandwiches are to die for! They take a long time to make, but they're worth it. A little pricey though, which is why I gave 4 stars - it's a great place for specialty items and produce, but not so much for every day items because of the price difference. read more

This Market has a lot of great products and very good service. A really excellent chef that makes their food for the deli bar. Everything the chef puts out is very very good. The negative piece of this place is that they are the most expensive store you can come across in the whole Bay Area. Prices are comparable to Mollie Stone's near the Google complex or the YouTube complex in San Bruno that's definitely the most expensive Market in the Bay Area! Well, I really don't know if it is or not but if it's not it's definitely in the top tear of very expensive grocery markets. read more

This supermarket is expensive but you get quality food. They sell Wild Salmon here, a single piece goes for over $10 depending on how big it is, but good quality. The pork chop is also good but again the price is higher compared to buying a big platter at Costco. They sell a variety of nuts and have good Blueberry Lavender ice cream here. read more

I want to love this place but I don't. The produce is not very fresh and the prices are higher than Whole Foods. The organic fruit section had flies swarming above it, and when I got closer I could see why. The mandarins were rotten. Not just one, most of them. Pretty sure these are the same ones that were looking pretty bad last week... I just got home and looked at the mustard I bought, it expired LAST YEAR. Is anyone over there even checking stuff? Oceana Market offers an extensive variety of health food products, fresh produce, and knowledgeable staff. It is a Pacifica gem. There is fresh bread as well as gourmet, regular, and vegan cheeses. It's a great mix of every day products plus specialty items. It even has a section of the store dedicated to gifts and toys (it sounds odd but it works... When was the last time you saw a real toy store anywhere in the bay area). Prices won't consume your whole paycheck. Some of the specialty items are higher priced (but they are competitive with other specialty stores). Lots of parking available. Love the summer hours. The staff is wonderful. They offer help without being overlordish or hovering. They seem to know their products and make recommendations when asked. The owners also give back to Pacifica schools and are a great community member. Skip Whole Foods, and shop Oceana Market for a more personable shopping experience that won't break the bank. read more

Wow. A mini new leaf. Interesting and healthy selections at the deli counter. Organic produce. And alot of the smaller boutique brands you will never fling at Safeway. Plus original kombucha. Grass fed beef. And ground organic chicken fresh daily. All tucked away on the back of Eureka Square. I used to get soup at another market in Pacifica but these are fresher and made in the store at the same price. Sure I would like more deli selections but I always want more selections. The butchers...nuff said. What are you in the mood for? What cut? How much? Ohhhh and need a dinner idea ya they got all that. Now before you go welllll safeways cheaper, try their meat. It has flavor, it's not pumped up with salt water, cooks well and the blackened tri-tip? Get two of those. Veggies are fresh and usually very reasonable. Sometimes they even have the organic stuff for the same or less than the regular stuff. Tons of gluten free and healthier options all around the store. Just try and resist temptation from all the ready packaged sweets by the veggies. read more

I'm astonished that a store that skews towards high-end can't get it together with customer service. I can't stand it when I'm standing in front of a cashier waiting to be rung up and they are conducting their own business as if I wasn't there. Safeway, sure, but Oceana? Sandy checked me out, but her colleague appeared in the line just as she was about to begin and he was there on pressing business - signing her up for the a sports pool. Each of them referred to me - the customer who is standing there - as "this guy" (I'll wait til you finish with this guy - I'll do this guy) but meanwhile she never made eye contact or greeted me, just began ringing my stuff up while engaged in a full-on conversation with this dude - the kind of conversation that meant she wasn't paying attention to what she was doing and that necessitated the frequent freeze in her motion so she could finish a thought or laugh at what he was saying. Completely disrespectful and a waste of my time. I'm okay with service taking longer if it means I'm having a different quality of experience, but in this case, I was not even a person. Compounded by her screwing up the cashback process and so I had to swipe four times and then not a word as I grabbed all my bags and took off. First world problems, for sure, but really not a positive experience. read more

Don't get why everyone likes this place so much. I've tried shopping here several times (18 times or so) because I'm all about keeping the smaller businesses in business, but their produce is always bruised and/or moldy and I've bought meat that was beyond the sell by date (which is partially my fault, as I should have looked, but they shouldn't even sell meat that's beyond the sell by date). They get one star for a good beer selection. Customer service ranges from very friendly and attentive to rude and surly. You never know what you're going to get. read more

This place has only improved over the past year or so. Now they even house a very nice vitamin/beauty selection from a store that closed down recently. Prices are a little higher, but the atmosphere is pleasant, staff is generally friendly and you don't have to fight the crowds. I love the pico de gallo they sell. It's a little expensive, but it is so tasty. I wish they would rate the spicy factor, sometimes it is too hot for me, but I love it anyway. For a small store with considerable overhead they are reasonable and I prefer to come here rather than battle Manor Safeway or the Lucky nearby. read more

I love supporting a local business, and this is one of them. Sure, prices may be a little higher than New Leaf in HMB, and Whole Foods (closest one on Ocean Avenue in SF), but I'm not wasting my time and gas getting to those places. Better selection of gourmet foods, wines, beers, and cheeses than our local chain stores. Other reasons to love: breads from local bakeries, olive bar, nutritional supplements, coffee selections, $1 bags of over-ripe bananas (banana bread!), organic fruits and veggies, toys, gifts, home goods...what else?! My neighborhood store! Oceana has come so far over the years. Great health food aisle, best imported food selection for miles around, lovingly chosen beer and wine selection, and they even sell an eclectic selection of toys and household goods now, complete with gift wrap service. Prices are high, but I would rather spend my money locally than give it to the big chain supermarkets. Goceana! read more

Great Butcher section, competitive for great quality meat/seafood. They have a food bar and a salad bar, both are quite good, variety of hot dishes change daily. Lots of unusual foods, great vegetables and fruits. I often find gifts for people and now they even have a pet store. Why not 5 stars? The bakery is severely lacking in yummy stuff. Very limited choices, so I have to drive to the great bakery off Manor. Brownie cravings are not met. Staff is the best of any general food store. read more

This is the best place in town to buy birthday gifts for kids under ten! I have to admit, I'm a huge procrastinator and I'm endlessly running late. That being said, I have three young kids and it seems like there is a birthday party every other weekend. I always come here on my way to the party for two reasons: I can buy a good gift for under $20 & the will wrap it for free! The only reason I gave it four stars is because of a cashier on one occasion. Her attitude was terrible! She complained because she had to wrap the gift herself (she works there) and I ended up having to do the ribbon myself because she was basically having a temper tantrum at their gift wrap station. Every other time I go there the service is great! Keep it in mind for a last minute present; they also have awesome hostess gifts and a great cheese selection. We are big fans of Go Sushi so whenever we are there we will stop in Oceana Market for milk, bread ect.. Its a fun little market with LOTS of interesting products, I love browsing and will typically end up with something new to try. I do watch the prices though, wow, some of them are HIGH HIGH HIGH HIGHER than Whole Foods or New Leaf. I consider this market to be more of a high end convenience store! This is a class store with upscale products and a great deli. It's a Pacifica treasure. I lived close to this store for 9 years and gave it scant attention. Then my daughter discovered it and began to bring home great deli sandwiches. I went over and explored it. Nice local market in Pacifica. I keep forgetting they have wine tasting on Saturday afternoons. So I'll will nn to take advantage of that. They also have sell small single size baked pies.
