Y'all.. I don't know how this place hasn't popped off yet. The cocktails are 100% fancy and legit and priced well below anything you'd find at a craft cocktail place in Bishop Arts. Their water is infused with cucumber and the food has amazing quality and depth of flavors, again, priced below the same quality that you'd pay just down the street in Bishop Arts. And Texas Theater is just a block away, so this is the perfect spot for a bite and drinks before the show. Service has been always been great for us, very attentive and kind. Delicious food and incredible ambience laid back, I came in on a Friday night and the live music is fantastic!! This spot is perfect for a girls night out or a cute date. The decor is adorable and also features some shops at the front. Loved every second of my visit. I ordered the enchiladas de mole, the kitchen was kind and was able to customize them to veggie only and they hit the spot. I loved the presentation of all the plates but the drinks took the night away! Ocho Latin Cuisine is a great place to brunch on the weekend. When we arrived we were greeted promptly by the staff. The Pozole is good, with tender pork and hominy. The Huevos rancheros has Two eggs on top of two tostadas with a flavorful spicy red sauce. The Cafe de Olla gives one a break from regular coffee. The Chilaquiles Verdes are good, with a salsa verde and you have a choice of egg style. The service was wonderful and attentive and a great place to enjoy breakfast. Little restaurant in the back of a marketplace. What a find! The service is fantastic. The owner recommended the queso fundido that is full of sausage and served with corn tortillas. The chips r homemade and served with a mild but super fresh tomatillo sauce. If u want something spicier as in really HOT they have it but beware. For entrees my husband had a chili relleno with beef stuffing served with black beans and rice. Delicious! I got the mole chicken enchiladas. Seriously this mole was so good. Paid $14 for this awful "queso" that was just melted shredded cheese in a pile of grease that hardened as it cooled. Quesadilla was also terrible since it was tasteless and made with soft cheese that wasn't even melted all the way through. I've made better ones in the microwave. Our friend also ordered the Chile relleno which was just a soggy pepper used a bowl for cheese and shrimp goop. This was hands down the worst overpriced restaurant food I have ever eaten. Food is not desirable. I eat Latin food but this was subpar. The server was okay but I don't speak or understand a lot Spanish so asking for what I needed was very difficult. I expect a little language barrier but this was over the top. The space is nice even a little shop got items in the front. It makes it very cultural. All were ok, probably wouldn't order again. However, their complimentary table chips are excellent, and I personally liked the salsa as well but my friend wasn't the biggest fan. Pilgrimage necessary for the apps and drinks alone! With plating that feels abundant and indulgent the appetizer menu is the unrivaled star of the show. We chose empanadas, elotes, and roasted cauliflower, all of which left us feeling some sort of delicious way. Drinks kept us tingly and well watered in an outdoor patio that was nicely appointed. The main dishes perhaps fell a tiny bit short of the starters (if we're being persnickety-- spicy enchiladas are perhaps missing the first part of their title, and the tacos might err towards dry) but in full disclosure we are biased towards appetizers. Saw this restaurant on TikTok and IG so my friends and I decided to go on a Friday evening. We ordered some drinks, which were average, and some appetizers. Two hours later, the appetizers did not have an ETA so we had to cancel them & go to another place to eat. The waitress was pretty apologetic and explained there was a big party holding everything up but upon entering, the party looked like they were done. I was pretty disappointed and probably won't be returning. Also if you sit outside, there aren't any heaters or lights so use your phone flashlight to see the menu. read more

I was in the area and decided to stop by here for a bite to eat. This was based on the hood reviews but also the menu listed online. Upon entering, there were a few tables full and I decided to sit outside. They were very quick to approach with a complimentary adult beverage sample of one of their drinks, along with chips and salsa. They also brought a menu. The menu is completely different than what's posted online. At first, I was confused if I was even at the correct place. But - I was there and decided to give it a try. After sitting at the table for 20 minutes, I went inside and asked if I could order. They walked out and took my order. It was for some food and a beer. Something told me to see how long it would take to get the food, so I set my timer... 30 minutes later, my food came out. But, no sign of my beer. At this point, I didn't want it and just started eating the food. Gosh, I wish I didn't. The meat was so tough. It was not fresh. I asked for our tab. They apologized - gave us a discount for the wait - but the beer was still on there. I told the server that and she said she's remove it. She didn't, and they brought my card back charged for it. There are so many great places in the area. I would not recommend trying this. read more

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. First of all, the service was ridiculously slow. We ordered our drinks and they took 20 minutes to come out, the cocktails even longer. Then we ordered starters, and main entrees. Our main entrees came out and we couldn't eat because we had ZERO silverware. We had to sit looking at our entrees for like 8 minutes before we got silverware. The entrees came out COLD. Our starters came out until we had FINISHED our main entrees. We asked for some salsa for our lobster quesadillas (they came plain and dry) and we had to eat the quesadillas without the sauce because the salsa's took so long to come out. Our server finally came out with the salsa's and apologized and followed it by telling us she was being threatened by management to not get tips if she didn't prioritize food running food rather than condiments. That was an unprofessional comment to make & we had no way of knowing whether that is true or not. We finished our food and had to wait like 20 minutes before we were checked by the server to ask for the check. We will NEVER come back again. This is one of the worst service I have received at a restaurant. The menu selection is not worth it. The service is not worth it. And the ambience is not worth it either. Skip this place. read more

We started off with the Ceviche, which was a pretty small portion but was really good. We also had the Flautas, which I'd highly recommend. My Palomita cocktail was beautifully dressed and served in an authentic terra cotta cup. I had the Spicy Enchiladas and they were so good, creamy with a nice hint of cheese. Not really spicy either. And, the garlic rice and black beans made the meal. Husband got the Lomo Cerdo, which was juicy. Kiddo #1 ordered the Skirt Steak and the chimichurri tho!! Yucca fries are a MUST DO!! We had made a reservation and they called us an hour before asking if we were still going to make it and that it was cash only. Kinda weird but maybe their system was down. Upon arrival no one was at the hostess station and finally someone came up. I told her we had a reservation and she proceeded to tell me there were issues in the kitchen so it was going to take awhile? I have no idea what that meant so I asked her she said the lady is running behind. Inside is different but nice has an open concept. Waitress was nice but not very personable. We ordered drinks and then our food shortly afterwards. I was actually surprised that our food came out with good timing considering there were issues in the kitchen. Food was good beans were cold. We noticed the table next to us was having issues because they were paying with a larger bill and didn't have change for them.
