They are back baby!! We loved it again. (The pandemic/chop/Chaz was not good for this place.) We we're having a staycation day and came for brunch. This place is so open & airy. It feels like you are outside even though you aren't. My guy and I shared the baked eggs, fresh fruit and the gluten free cookie. The eggs. Oh man this is so savory, delicious, satisfying. Wish we had the opportunity to actually try the food, walked up around 3pm on a Sunday, place was half empty, every single outdoor table was empty except for one four top. We walked up to the hostess stand and she said they weren't seating anymore or taking names because the wait list was full, and I said 'full?' I got the Porchetta sandwich with an extra egg. I'm definitely glad I added an over medium egg, because there wasn't too much substance inside although there was a good amount of the Porchetta. Overall I would have liked to taste more chimichurri since the sandwich wasn't super flavorful - I added hot sauce basically to every bite to add some flavor. I'm glad the sandwich came with a side salad, as it was dripping with grease, but the "salad" was just (very) lightly tossed spring greens. So delicious! My boyfriend and I got the BLAT sandwich and the brioche front toast with fruit compote! The BLAT was a perfect savory brunch sandwich. Oddfellows was one of my last meals while in Seattle and it definitely summarized my trip in one sentence, "I need to come back to eat the rest of this city" The interior of this place is almost rustic and beach-y at the same time. Not sure how to describe it - when you see the front, it's all open with cute awnings and tons of natural lighting. As you walk in, the brick walls and wooden feel of the place makes you feel like you walked into a New York apartment. It definitely was a cozy feeling that made me feel like I want to move in! Lol As for the menu, the coffee\tea menu is pretty extensive here. Which is one of the reasons why I love it. Friend got the Arnold palmer and he was able to choose his tea! The black tea was an orange blossom and it was amazing. I got the cappuccino and it was overflowing - just the way I like it! As for the food, be ready to indulge because their sandwiches are huge! I settled with the meatball sub and the baguette was superb. I couldn't stop eating it! The meatballs were tender and had subtle flavors. Very much enjoyed it. I'm shocked and appalled at how I was just treated by the male host with a dark beard working here. He was denying us service and a seat inside because of my service dog. My dog is a legal and certified service animal. It wasn't until I pulled up my pant leg up to expose my prosthetic that he realized his mistake and then said we could sit down. I was so embarrassed and annoyed by the way I was treated by him that I left... someone working in his position should know that it is ILLEGAL to treat a disabled person and they're care animal this way. This is a great spot to work and get a decent cup of coffee. I've been here for lunch and also waiting for someone. It is hipster heaven, but they really delighted me with the power outlets under each table and the strong wifi (OK, I'm easy to please :-) The coffee here is good and strong. Bad experience. We were a party of 6. I would suggest everyone to check their bill total because they charge gratuity for larger parties on the bill AFTER TAXES which is supposed to be on pre tax bill. Also, the gratuity amount didn't match up properly - they charged almost 24% gratuity (on the bill after taxes) and didn't even explicitly specify the percentage they were charging in the bill. On the top of that, the bill will still show recommended tipping amount, which could lead people to pay more gratuity on top of the already added one. My friend asked to update the bill to show gratuity pre tax and let us know how the percentage was calculated but he was rudely told they can't do anything about it and it is a system generated thing. Great way to dupe and loot customers. Also, the service was okay, food was not great. Portion size is small for the prices. The sandwich bread was so hard that it was difficult to eat. My friend ordered avacado toast and the avacado was stale, could see the blackish/brownish bits. They refunded the toast but overall poor experience. read more

Oddfellows is a really interesting place that seems perfect in Seattle. The building and interior are classic and beautiful. Other reviews have commented on its Hipster-feel which is definitely the case. Fortunately, it also has some really good food. I went up to the bar and started with some red wine. They do not have a wide selection, but it was good. The mixed drink selection also looked really good. I started with the mussels. These were excellent and the broth was so good that I drank most of it. They provided some nice bread--but could have had more since it was so delicious when soaked in the broth. They did not have the meatballs and polenta dish that I wanted, so I had the pea risotto. I am sure the meatballs were good, but the risotto was very good. It was nice and buttery and the pea flavor really came across. I would definitely order that again. If you need to go the bathroom, make sure to add the server first where they are located and make sure you get the four digit code. Oddfellows is definitely worth a visit. read more

The line out of here is always insane so I had to see what the hype was. Food is decent but I think most come for the ambiance. The place is super cute. I tried the breakfast panini. The bacon was crispy and eggs were done well, but nothing extraordinarily different. I also had a latte and the signature oddfellows cookie (chocolate, toffee, walnuts). For $3, I expected this cookie to blow my mind but it was on par with something you could get at Costco. One strange thing did happen. I had ordered the small latte but the server came out and gave me a large. The eggs benny was tasty, but my the yolks were quite firm, and there was unfortunately no yolk porn :( The potatoes were average, as was the meal in general. Upon hearing about all the hype online, my friend and I decided to give Oddfellows a try. We came around 9am on a Thursday and to our surprise, the place was surprisingly uncrowded, perhaps because it had just opened for the day. The cafe was spacious and welcoming with ample amount of natural sunlight shining in, which opened up the space even more. We ended up sitting in the back patio (we got lucky and had the place to ourselves since we arrived early) and while it was much smaller and not as well lit as the main space, we loved the moody ambiance, brick walls, and plants. The condensed space made the setting more private and intimate. The server was friendly and personable and checked in with us several times just to make sure we were doing okay. We ordered an avocado toast with egg and a brioche french toast with fruit compote. Both were tasty. I would have preferred less watercress on my avocado toast, but the food was good nonetheless. We still wanted to try the place out so we just walked to the Elliot Bay bookstore next door to kill time. Been to location in Dallas but Seattle is far superior. Went for dinner and enjoyed the deviled eggs (strange to be eating these outside the South) and the half Chicken with asparagus and crushed purple potatoes. The dessert was mixed berry pie and was the highlight of the meal. Simple deconstructed pie in a skillet with a Chantilly cream (strawberry, blueberry and raspberry).
