Excellent food, friendly staff, great service. We had rotisserie chicken and gyros, both excellent and were too full for dessert. It's a casual place so you order at the counter and they bring you the meal but the atmosphere is cozy and lots of places to sit and really relax. Drove an hour and a half to meet someone to look at a car for sale. There were three of us, my oldest daughter (24) and one of my youngest (10). He loves teriyaki and we ordered the chicken bowl - he of course had the typical chicken bowl in mind. My daughter - more discerning taste ordered the Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich with the wild rice and curried apples and pecans. I ordered the Tuna wrap with the red potato salad as a side. As others mentioned, we ordered at the counter. As we entered there was a prominent sign indicating we take a menu, seat ourselves and order at the counter... We ordered, obtained our drinks and soaked in the ambiance. It was busy, but not harried. When the food arrived, there were oooohhhhsss and aaaawwwwwsss. It looked fantastic! It tasted fantastic! My 10 year old is still talking about the fresh roasted veggies, chicken and rice... He loved it. My tuna wrap was delicious - the wrap incredibly fresh and the tuna was had a touch of dill which made it mouthwatering. The chicken sandwich was incredibly good. I rarely, very rarely rave about a place - but Paso has it with Odyssey! We'll be back! read more

Like the different kinds of food here. Never had a bad lunch here. Atmosphere is not loud and pleasant. A little too cluttered, and needs a update for sure, do not like the tables and chairs, clunky. With such a good menu, good food and good price, they are really a upscale restaurant but decor is not living up to the upscale food quality. read more

I've been eating at the Odyssey World Cafe for years! I always order the same thing, Toasted Turkey Sandwich with a delicious homemade soup or one of their side salads. This place deserves 6 stars! Love the set-up. Loved the menu and the way it was prepared even more. Very healthy portions, to boot! Vegetables were crispy in the stir fry, salmon in the salad done to perfection. This was hands-down the best place we ate during our 2-week stay in Cal. We ate there several times. $5 cork-fee is a perfect thing, being located in wine country. Too bad others didn't have the great experience we did there. read more

We stopped here for lunch while wine tasting and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I had the rotisserie chicken sandwich, which was excellent - juicy, tender rotisserie chicken with pesto, fresh mozzarella, and some sort of delicious French-tasting vinaigrette. For the side, I had the clam chowder, which was fabulous (and mostly cream). I enjoyed pouring it on my sandwich. My boyfriend had the French dip (which I didn't sample, but he really liked) with a sort of Indian-flavored rice (which I did sample; it was interesting, just not what I was in the mood for). There was a reasonable selection of beer and local wines, and a set of Trivial Pursuit cards dating from the 80s on each table to pass the time while you wait. (My only complaint would be that it seemed like we had to wait longer than we should have for two cold sandwiches, which cut into wine tasting time.) Overall, cute, tasty, and reasonably priced. read more

Such a bummer... I've been here a few times before, took a friend to lunch for her birthday. I got a side of pesto penne pasta & fries, my 2 friends got artichoke brie sandwich with soup. They both got their orders fairly fast. I asked the waiter to bring ranch out with my fries, but he never returned with my food. I sat there for 28 minutes before deciding to get up & ask the girl at the register if my food would be out soon. She was puzzled since it was a cold pasta salad & fries and said she would check on it for me. I waited another 10 minutes before a different waiter came out, asked if I wanted my pasta now while the fries finish cooking, I said yes. She brought out my penne pasta in a to go bag. Then very unapologetically said she "doesn't know why the fries aren't out" and "do I want the fries to go too?" I said, well yeah now my other food is already bagged and my friends are finished. It took another 10 minutes to get my fries....plus they gave me ketchup after I asked for ranch. I'll probably never go back. The cashier, who did her job properly, was the only one who apologized, the other waiters seemed annoyed that I was annoyed with my 45 minute wait for a tiny side of a cold pasta salad and fries.. We arrived right before closing Sunday night and all four of our meals rated 5 stars! Chicken Marsala, Lamb and beef burgers and sandwich wrap with salads and desserts were just delicious! I have eaten at the Odyssey World Cafe many times. I usually order a gyros made with lamb. It has always been excellent. Five stars! Today, I ordered the special steak sandwich with a Caesar salad as a side. The sandwich really should have been called a mayonnaise, grilled onion, red pepper sandwich rather than a steak sandwich. There was way too much of the mayo dressing on the sandwich. The Caesar salad was almost Caesar soup. There was way too much dressing. Not sure what happened today, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

Yum! This place is great! We went here for lunch because of a recommendation by a local working at a cheese shop downtown. The food was great and there were so many options. I have eaten at the Odyssey several times and I really like the setup, grab a menu, make your select, order at the counter and take a seat where you like in or outside (if the weather permits). I had requested no rice, only the vegetables the last time I was in but they brought me a bowl with rice and vegetables on top so I didn't complain just began eating the vegetables on top. Next thing I knew a young man, walked up to my table, informing me they had made a mistake on my order and handed me a bowl of vegetables. I was amazed. I will say that went a long way with me. Even though they made a mistake, they didn't just ignore it, they corrected it without me even complaining. Excellent job. Oh, I find the food I have ordered has been seasoned very good, has a little "kick", reminds me a little of Louisiana seasoning. read more

My husband had the minestrone soup which had too much black pepper while I ordered the stir fry. They added so much black pepper while cooking that it made the food taste terrible. I was pleasantly surprised by the food here after reading some reviews and walking in (not the cutest decor lol). I got a stir fry and it tasted really good, fresh, and didn't leave me totally stuffed. My family all enjoyed theirs as well. At best it's interesting. I saw a guy on the street with two large bags of food to go. He told me it was from Odyssey Cafe and it's great. My wife and I decided to give it a go. Bad choice. They've a quirky ordering system which if paying by card, u must tip prior to being served at all. I ordered rib eye, the wife, chicken Alfredo. Hers was good...hard to mess that up. My rib eye was underdone on one half and perfect on the other. It was largest rib eye I've ever had. I ordered rice but got a baked potato. No big deal except it was not edible. It had clearly been sitting around awhile or just terribly overcooked. I couldn't cut the skin at all. The soup was tasty, chowder, and my wife's salad looked great. The staff was friendly enough, too bad the food wasn't. There are several choices nearby, try one. read more
