Love this place! It's so refreshing to see multiple vegan options! The homemade bread is awesome, in my opinion. Doughy and perfect. I had the hummus veggie sandwich and pumpkin soup. Plenty of food, I took half of the sandwich home. The pumpkin soup was different than what I was thinking it would be, but still very good. I think the prices are fair. It's a local, small business and I think it's important to support these kinds of establishments. Livermore is lucky to have such a great place! I'm determined to try all of the different kinds of veg sandwiches. It's nice that they have descriptions of each one on the wall. We will be back! read more

I love this place for lunch! It's delicious the ladies who make the sandwiches do a fantastic job! They are great about preparing gluten free lettuce wraps and also have gluten free bread. They will prepare them in the back in a separate area if you ask and they are very nice about it. They also have TONS of vegetarian options as well. I'm a big fan of this shop! I've been in a few times now and have always enjoyed my food and the atmosphere. The best part is the wheat bread they use for the sandwiches. It's so soft and flavourful, plus it's baked fresh daily! They have a nice variety of vegetarian sandwiches and their overall menu is healthier and more nutritious than any other sandwich places I have ever been to. I have personally not tried their soup but I have overheard people describing how yummy it is! The shop itself is clean and quiet, which I appreciate. The honey wheat bread used to make sandwiches at Ofelia's is outstanding. The bread is made in-house and they grind the wheat themselves. It is thick, soft, and flavorful. I'm pretty sure it is the best sandwich bread I've ever had. My favorite sandwich is the Good Earth without the cream cheese. Besides cream cheese, the Good Earth includes tomato, avocado, sprouts, cucumber, and onions. This place has been around for a long time now. The bread is amazing. Ofelia makes her own bread daily. It's organic 100% whole wheat berry bread. She adds a lot of veggies. I'm not a veggie lover. However, she slices everything very thin and it's wonderful! It's possibly the best sandwich in town. To add cheese or avocado there is a charge. Cheese 50 cents. Avocado 75 cents. They also offer smoothies, cookies, chips and yogurt. With a snapple my order usually comes to $9 or so which is a bit much to spend on lunch too regularly. BUT for homemade bread and a healthy lunch, it's not bad at all! I think everyone should try Ofelia's out. Great to support a mom n' pop sort of place in town. read more

I had the Good Earth sandwich with Ofelia's Roasted Red Pepper spread (instead of creme cheese) and Lentil "meatloaf" for the patti....and I'll definitely be back for more!! Holy crap. Literally my favorite lunch spot in Livermore now. My girlfriend and I went here for the first time today and it was amazing! Service was awesome, sandwiches were the best we'd ever had!!! 3.5 stars. I think most people come here since Ofelia's make their own bread and pride themselves on it. I think the bread is good but there's nothing special about it. So far I've had the crab melt and the turkey pastrami. I wasn't a fan of the crab melt since it tasted like they used imitation crab meat. My taste buds could have been off that day, but my coworker also mentioned the same thing. Turkey / Pastrami was good, but again there was nothing special about it. In my mind this place was fairly overpriced and most of the food was lackluster. I ended up splitting with someone, so we split a side salad, tomato soup, and a crab melt. The side salad itself had a good base to it, with very fresh vegetables. However, we chose the homemade thousand island dressing, which had a very odd combination of spices that just didn't blend together well. The tomato soup was definitely the oddest item though, as it more resembled a marinara in both taste and texture. The Crab melt was tasty, I will admit. It was made with quality ingredients and was on homemade bread. The cheese was perfectly melted and I did enjoy it. My only comment to change would be I would have liked if the restaurant had fresh rolls in addition to the one type of bread option. The positives were that they did have good service and we got our food quickly. The outdoor seating area was very pleasant and shaded, so we were able to bring out dogs. Overall, the restaurant certainly wasn't bad, I just didn't think it was anything particularly great. read more
