Chili Cheese Burger Shoestring Original Fries and a Jaritos for $24.
Jaime R.

I really wanted the OG Smash Burger to live up to the standard of Original Tommy's, but unfortunately, it doesn't quite compare. While the chili is tasty and the service is excellent--the cashier was genuinely dedicated to guest satisfaction, and the food comes out hot and made-to-order in 5-10 minutes--it lacks the signature experience of the real OG Original Tommy's. Not huge at all and for the price, therefore not a good value. I spent $24 for the Chilicheese bruger combo with $1 upcharge for a bottled drink. The burger itself was decent, but they are way too tight with the chili portions compared to Tommy's, and the shoestring fries don't hold the chili nearly as well as the thicker-cut fries. I also found the specific combination of pickles, onions, and mustard on a Tommy's burger to be superior. The setting is purely a walk-up window with four outdoor benches, so it lacks the atmosphere of a traditional dine-in experience. Street parking during around 2pm on weekday was no problem. Got a spot right in front of the joint. If you do stop by, definitely give the chili a moment to cool--it comes out steaming hot! It's a solid, quick meal, but it hasn't dethroned the real OG, Original Tommy's, for me.

I came by here years ago to eat at Pecos Bill's BBQ (since 1946) but once the owner passed away it closed. I enjoy eating cheeseburgers and this one was really good and flavored just right. I ordered the combo with upgraded chili cheese fries and a fountain drink. The only thing that shocked me was the price. This combo came out to 25 bucks which I thought was way too steep.

The food was amazing and the vibes were impeccable. Nice place to go after getting off the LA River trail. Especially with their fast and stellar service. I will for sure be coming back and best of all. Other then the workers being nice to talk too for a couple min. FREE REFILLS!!!! IN THIS ECONOMY!!!

I've had many smash burgers.... but the OG stands out! Crispy patty edges unlike any smash burger out there. The beef flavor comes through splendidly. The bun is soft and melts into the patty as easily as the cheese. Balance of flavors is achieved with the acidity of the pickles against the OG sauce, cheese and patty. The fries were crispy with enough salt/seasoning to make these fries yummmm. Tanya was super nice and gave me a little history about the OG smash burger which made my meal more meaningful. Friendly service, delicious burger and fries makes this my favorite smash burger so far.

In town for work, and was looking for a burger near my hotel. I eat mostly Carnivore so it's just easy getting a bunch of burger patties. I ordered 6 patties with cheese. Super easy. Each patty had nice crispy edges and melted cheese. I sat outside, and service was great!

Off the beaten path, or at least MY beaten path, I haven't been on this piece of real estate in at LEAST 25 years! They've really created a nice little space with about 4 sidewalk picnic tables for dine in (no indoor seating, and only a walk-up window for order and pick-up). On this 94 degree Burbank day, I opted for a pick-up, but I would eat on site on a more forgiving day. Online ordering was super easy and my food was ready as promised. The woman behind the window was quite lovely and made sure I had everything I needed before I took off. We got burgers and added (super hot) fresh jalapeños, and chili (really added to the burgers!), and we both loved them! We were both in agreement that we'd return again before we were half way done! A great smash burger in Glendale/Burbank.

Came here for a late night meal! Very pleasant experience. You can't miss OG Smash Burger due to its bright yellow look - it feels like it attracts all the hungry people over Easy street parking and some folks just park in front Food is so good, can't go wrong with their smash burgers and fries We ate there since there was outdoor seating (bright yellow tables and chairs) Would definitely go again!

Preface: To 5 smash burger joints I'm comparing to based on Peacock's "Call Bullshit" offer on June 7th for Emmy nominated Poker Face. So this review is solely on a two bite comparison. 2nd best burger of the day! I'd go back. Crispy edges and a nice fluffy bun that doesn't take away from the burger patty.

My new favorite smashburger in Los Angeles but I wish their smashburger was bigger because it was so good! I loved the crispy lacing around the burger which was perfectly crispy and flavorful. Probably my favorite smashburger! I loved how there were pickles all throughout the burger to cut the greasiness and the perfectly melty cheese. The quality of the patty and meat was also better than other places. Their fries are also very similar to the Win-Dow but seasoned which was good. I'm sad I forgot to take a picture of the burger!

Visited on a Sunday for lunch. There is no interior seating, but they do have some tables outside to enjoy their food. I enjoyed the burger and fries. The edges of the burger were crispy, and the fries were seasoned. Lots of street parking.

I think we've found a new pitstop here in Glendale- OG Smash offered our family great food and great service. Opted for the double smash, but also ordered a grilled cheese, two additional singles, and fries. We will definitely be back to try a pb & j! The burgers may seem small to some, but maybe see them as an opportunity to slow things down a few minutes. Or just order one or two more burgers. In short, if you're close by, don't pass, smash!

Jack T.

Typical smash burger that uses grilled onions. Not huge at all and for the price, it's not really a good buy. They also use the same old tired formula. Smash burger with crappy bun and few condiments. Oh, and of course the iniquitous thousand island dressing. Fries and other stuff like onion rings are basically plain and forgettable. Is it the worst burger joint in LA? No. But I wouldn't come back because there is nothing to see here that I haven't already seen. You see, the way I judge burgers is simple. If I can make a better one at home on my grill - there is no reason to spend my money being disappointed with cookie cutter burger spots that use subpar ingredients and offer little value for time and money spent. Nuff said... Food, service and ambience are blah...

If I could give it no stars, I would. Ordered from Uber eats to support smaller and newer businesses only to be disappointed with raw burger patties and green french fries (natural toxin solanine). I ordered sides not poison. I called to advise them of the mishaps, and my safety concerns for the food that theyre serving (didn't even ask for a refund), just wanted to bring it to thier attention... only to get a condescending attitude and get caught off when trying to explaining the issue... thanks for hanging up on me, Shant... your cashier was WAY more professional than you in handling this situation. Mark my words, OG Smash Burger will have a quick and rapid demise. Not only does your food suck, so does your customer service. (Nothing false about what the food you served us, pics and video prove it). Plus, the response you give to all your negative reviews speaks VOLUMES about your costumer service.

This is by far one of my children's favorite place to eat. Anytime we are even close to the area,…read morethey expect us to stop at Tigawok. I don't mind, because they happily gobble up the broccoli that they have here. It really is so good. I have noticed that some of the cute things that they had when they first opened are not there anymore. For example, there are no more men, no more lossing stick, and they use paper bags instead of the cute branded bags. But that's totally understandable, I can imagine offering things like that could be expensive. I was surprised it happened in the first place.

My favorite was always the tomato and egg dish, so I came back craving it, only to find out it's no longer on the menu. It looks like TigaWok has shifted to a build-your-own bowl concept. You start by choosing a base (jasmine rice, chow mein, half or all greens, purple rice, or egg fried rice), then a protein, a veggie, and a side. They also offer complimentary sauces, and I really enjoyed the ginger scallion sauce. It added great flavor to my bowl. My only issue was that the menu wasn't very clear about what qualifies as a "veggie" versus a "side." I chose roasted pumpkin (squash) as my vegetable and spicy cucumber as my side, but I was still charged extra, which was confusing. I wish the menu explained the categories better or simply combined the vegetable and side into one selection since they're all vegetable-based dishes. It would make the ordering process much more customer-friendly and avoid surprises at checkout. I also ordered the braised pork belly, which used to be one of my favorites. Before, it came in tender, bite-sized pieces. This time, the pork was cut into larger chunks with a lot of fat, and unfortunately, the meat was dry. I understand that businesses evolve, and the staff explained that the new concept caters to their customer demographics. I appreciate that they're offering more vegan-friendly options while still keeping pork, beef, chicken, and shrimp on the menu. However, I miss the old concept that made TigaWok stand out. I hope they'll consider bringing back some of the original favorites and making the ordering process a little clearer. I'd love to see this place thrive because I've genuinely enjoyed it in the past.

The skin was perfectly crispy and the meat was extraordinarily juicy -- this is some of the best fried chicken in the city, full stop. Fresh, never frozen, natural and hormone-free chicken fried in peanut oil -- and you can taste the difference. The baked beans were sweet and comforting -- a perfect Southern companion to the chicken. The coleslaw rounded out the plate nicely and the sweet tea was exactly what you want in a spot like this.
