First off... I visited the oggis in vista and when I received the breeze hill cocktail it was a pink drink, sugar rum and delicious. Fast forward to my BIRTHDAY dinner.. I made a reservation 2 weeks in advance and on the day of a couple people from my party came early and there was no reservation under my name !! I have proof in my phone log of when I called to make my reservation and the location and phone number match! We ended up getting a table but then the waitress was rude, quiet, and obviously didn't want to be there. I asked for the breeze hill again and they gave me an orange sunrise drink. When I showed her it wasn't the correct drink and compared to the picture I had before she said she will remake it. She brought me back the same damn drink but with just more raspberry sauce to make it more pink and added a cucumber and raspberry to the top. I wanted the drink I showed her in The picture! We came here for the final four ncaa games while we ate dinner. The place was packed but they were able to get is a table in only 10 minutes which was great. This Oggi's has been here for decades. We had their craft light beer and it was very flavorful. My wife had a cosmo and it was stronger than normal but overall it was fine. We ordered wings, bruschetta flatbread and chopped salad. The habanero pineapple wings were sweet n tasty and not too hot. The Thai chili wings were a bit sweeter with an Asian flare. We loved the all drum wings with no breading. The salad and flatbread were good and satisfying. There were TVs everywhere and good sound to follow the games. The service was a bit slow and the waiter got a couple minor things wrong but it was nothing we didn't fix. Since it was packed we expected a slower service overall. We were super excited to go to out to dinner tonight. This was a Father's Day gift to our hubby's. We walked in at 510 thinking we were beating the evening crowd. Came here for trivia night which was a lot of fun. For food, I ordered wings with Buffalo sauce, a loaded potato pizza and oggis sticks. The wings are all drums which I love. Oggis has their own home ranch which is a plus. The veggies were not very crisp but that's fine. The oggis sticks and pizza have huge potential to be better if they can improve their crust which is bland/un flavorful and a little hard. Other than that, the food is good but not amazing. But the grill cook was on the line with his mask under his chin, and one other backline employee had her nose hanging out, in these trying times that is simply unprofessional and unacceptable. I will not be returning here, to one of my favorite restaurants. Look, wearing a mask all day during your shift sucks. I do it too. But I do it for my customers and fellow coworkers. The level of disrespect visibly shown by the kitchen staff for both the patrons and each other - while all the frontline workers were complying - is downright embarrassing. Mask up for others, jerks. A few things: I left my Yeti cup there and called after to see if they had it. I was told it was there and to come pick it up whenever. So, I go to pick up my cup and it's magically gone which could only mean one of their employees stole it. I understand I left it and that's on me but to be told yes we have it don't worry then be told "we'll if it's not here it's not here" that's just bad business. I've been eating there 2-3 times a week and I will never go back now. Why Oggis WHY?!!? I hate this place. But my son and daughter LOVE this place. Like LOVE. And they ask for it every time we get delivery. They actually keep track of how many times we've ordered from other restaurants in between Oggis and regularly remind me of it. So here's the thing. Yes, I order from them. But I know it's going to be bad. Tonight started much the same as other nights. I counted on my fingers how many times I have ordered from other trusted establishments to see if I could con my kids into one of my "safe" places. But dang it - its been too long and they want "emojis". I place the order way early - they always take FOREVER to deliver. This time, I ordered around 4:30 pm. And at 6:15 pm I am regrettably on the phone with "Raul" who, after many transfers, assures me he is the manager of this Oggis. Raul tells me that his driver left, "with many orders". I counter that Leucadia Pizzeria (my favorite) regularly departs with "many orders" (is there any other type??) and he tells me, that with COVID, things are weird. Here's the deal. We are all dealing with Covid - and it's really weird for all of us. In fact, as a 40 something Mom, I think about my youth, when I wasn't one of these workers, but they were the ones I loved and I really empathize. So I happily order take out each week and try to tip the way I wish my friends had been. The problem is - it's not the delivery people's fault. It's not the waiter's fault, this is purely management's fault. I want to support local businesses - and I want to tell you there are many, MANY insanely hardworking people who deserve your business, but Oggis is not one of them. If you want pizza - order from Leucadia Pizzeria. Not only do they deliver pretty much everywhere, they will deliver your order in under an hour with your weird requests like no tomato sauce on your pizza (my kids). Three days ago, not only did they deliver my weird order in under an hour, but the delivery driver waited in the driveway (in a mask) until I walked outside my door to get my pizza to make sure I got it - these people are PROS. I am mad, I tell Raul that other establishments deliver in a timely fashion. I also tell him that they screw up my order approximately every third time and promise to credit me (which they never have - even when they forgot an $18 dollar salad for goodness sake). I tell him I am done and I am not ordering from him again. He tells me he was going to credit me a future delivery, BUT... and he waits. This is the restaurant that has told me on two other occasions they would credit me for items they left off of my order, and guess what??? Nothing. This is especially maddening because as he says this my husband actually gets the food from the delivery driver and guess what? Two hours to deliver - and see the attached picture where they circled an item on the ticket? Yep - they left it off the order. So to recap, two hours to get delivered, missing items, and a manager who isn't apologetic. I tell him I've heard this "credit future order" before and gotten nothing, and if he wanted my business he would credit this order - which he begrudgingly tells me he will do, then hangs up the phone. So I guess I will be checking my credit card transactions and hoping things are different this time. Here is what I will say in summation. ALL DELIVERY DRIVERS WHO WORK FOR OGGIS - PLEASE go work for Leucadia Pizzeria (Please work here - they are brilliant. It ain't Dr. Fauci keeping me sane during this pandemic - its this restaurant - THANK YOU!). All people reading this review - keep supporting local businesses - just NOT this one. My Dad was a small business owner in San Diego for over 30 years and I will always support small businesses. As for Oggis?? Maybe they forgot their roots. Maybe they forgot what makes a restaurant great. I am a believer in small business - but maybe they got too big. They don't care anymore. I just had to tell my six and seven year old that we are never ordering from here again. It was a weirdly uncomfortable conversation. If you've got a family who needs a lot of choices, Oggi's is for you! My man wanted pizza, but we also wanted loaded fries. I wanted chicken lettuce cups (don't judge me) and then we both were craving a burger. Enter the vast Oggi's menu. Now we didn't order all of that (or maybe we did, Quarantine vibes) but it was all there as an option, and ready for delivery or safe pick up! I'm a fan of their patty melt, and those lettuce cups I mentioned? A huge portion featuring marinated diced chicken breast, julienne carrots, green onion, cashews, and wonton strips. Served with iceberg lettuce cups, with a sesame soy sauce and spicy mustard for dipping. It's a delish low carb choice as an entree if you're working on your fitness while everyone else is working on large pizza. The food travels well, and they pack things separately so you can plate it up properly at home. Try the short rib nachos sometime! Those are pretty tasty too. We live in the neighborhood of this location, so close that it's walking distance, so we really, really do want to like coming here. That being said, at this point we've had a string of negative experiences that are making it harder to want to return. In the year and a half that we've lived in the area, the following examples of bad service have all happened: * Ordering a pick-up order, only to discover upon returning home that the kitchen prepared a meat lasagna instead of veggie (something you can't tell just by opening the container and checking), which is a big deal to a vegetarian customer. We had to return to the location after already having waited almost an hour at the bar for our order, to wait another 30 minutes to get the order fixed. Just a shambles all around. The staff did well in comping our order in the end, but it meant for a very inconvenient night where half of our party ate an hour ahead of the other half. * Ordering a pick-up order, being told to arrive in 20 minutes, and then having to wait another 40 minutes after arriving for our food to be ready. * Ordering a pick-up order, being told to arrive in 10-15 minutes, actually arriving in 20 minutes, and *still* having to wait a further 40 minutes for food to be ready. Most of the order was actually ready on time, sitting on the counter getting colder and colder while we waited for one item that the kitchen apparently just forgot to make. The staff kept apologizing, but no progress was made, no ETA was given, and no action was taken to keep our existing order warm until we complained about the wait. Ultimately the late item itself was comped, but by that point all of the other food was cold and had to be reheated when we got home. Kind of defeats the purpose of takeout if you end up having to use your own oven and dishes to cook your meal. Several patterns are apparent here. Bad attention to detail on the part of the kitchen staff, and especially bad wait-time estimations on the part of the front of house. The hosts and waiters are all consistently courteous in our experience, and have taken steps to rectify mistakes, but they are also a little sluggish about doing so. Situations should not have to drag out this long before action is taken. Bottom line, we would show up in an hour, if we were told to come in an hour. I don't know why Oggi's insists on overpromising and underdelivering, but it's getting old. Despite our gripes, the food is consistently good, but we have had one too many cold entrees at this point to plan on returning any time soon. read more

We have been to Oggi's before but not this location. We will never come back to this Oggi's. The restaurant was almost empty which should have been our cue to leave. The pizza oven was down (had been since Thursday) so nothing pizza or related could be made. The food took over 30 minutes to make it to our table and sides were missing and our orders incorrect. Our waitress switched halfway through which caused a big breakdown as the two clearly didn't communicate, and the overall attitude was no one cared. We were in the restaurant for almost 2 hours. Becca, wait staff, and Katie, bar tender, are above and beyond in service. In addition, if Becca is waiting on the high table area, she will ensure your small table receives the same attention as a large party. Katie, on the other hand, has developed a signature drink not on the menu! I've been coming to this Oggis (Carmel Mountain/Sabre Springs) location for 27 years it's usually a good experience. However, Today (Feb 18, 2022). My visit was unpleasant service from the on-duty Bartender/Food Server: Katie. *She completely made a mistake on the Oggis Famed 'Oggis Sticks with Pepperoni'. *The oder she gave was "Cheese Only" (NO PEPPERONI) on my Oggis Sticks. *After I explained the error to her. She LAUGHED at me and Instantly, GAVE ME ATTITUDE. *I was finally able to get her attention and asked for a New order of the appetizer with the missing Pepperoni. *After 10-13 minutes, my new order arrived from the kitchen and was placed on the kitchen counter top for pickup and delivered to my seat at the facing bar. *Katie was very UN-Enthusiastic in delivering my new order. *After about 18 minutes.
