    Deluxe Chirashi Bowl
    Jim P.

Large open dining area with an open view of kitchen, no sushi bar. Decor is minimalist Asian street food vibe. No alcohol sales on-site, uncertain about BYOB. I ordered the Deluxe Chirashi Bowl and a side order of O-toro and Hotate sashimi. Side salad was wilted but the miso soup was hot and satisfying. All fish was fresh and presented with extravagant decorations of sticks, banana leaves and a sushi mat. All of this extra stuff in the bowl seemed overkill to me and detracted from the quality and presentation of the sashimi. Staff was elusive, despite there only being 3 parties in the dining room. I sat looking at empty plates and glasses too often. Overall $$$ to experience was average. Cheers!

No. 1 Combo, Omakase 12pcs Nigiri

Stumbled upon Oh Baby while on my quest to try all the sushi takeout in the Bay Area. The location was hidden away and a little random, but the inside of the store was bustling with tables even on a weekday. We tried both sushi combos (NO1 combo and 12pc omakase) and felt like it was a super decent option for takeout, just not an all time favorite. I did enjoy that they didn't skimp on garnishes for the nigiri, even for takeout. It helped add to the experience of omakase at home! All in all I would revisit, although it wouldn't be my first choice for takeout.

Chain sushi place. We came to the Sunnyvale location. Small parking lot near Google. Easy to find parking and no wait for a Saturday evening around 6pm. Decor is clean and modern. Basic seating. We ordered 3 rolls and an udon for our toddler. They have a lot of rolls/fresh fish but not too many other food items. We noticed most families ended up ordering the udon. Food came out quick. The rolls were presented nicely and not overly saucy which we appreciated. They gave a good portion of fish. The udon was very basic but the kiddo enjoyed it. We would return.

Shockingly ive been to 3 of these "oh baby" sushi places (daly city, redwood and this one) first off the fish is extremely fresh and tasted sooo good. Wide selection of choices of fish and non fish items. The service here was impeccable, and I came very late at 7:30 and they close at 8 but still got great service, very attentive. I would 100% come back to any of there locations

The fish is very fresh and tasty but the service here is very bad. I usually don't complain about the service, but it was really disappointing. Here it took a long time to even get a menu and when I said that I was allergic to sesame seeds there were still sesame seeds in the food when we spoke to the women worker, she kind of just brushed it off, but the other guy helped us out.

Packed on Saturday night. This is my second time here. I came here about a year ago and got the omakase set. I remember it being a great deal for what you get. This time we were less hungry and opted to try some rolls. 49ers - 5/5 solid. This is my go to roll and I love how they cut off the skin for the lemon slices! Great take. Ferrari- 5/5 the sauce flavors are great and they add crab salad and seaweed salad on the side it was a great portion Uni nigiri - 4/5 I love uni I think the crispy leaf fried was too much and I would have gone without it. Watermelon juice - must get!! Fresh squeezed very refreshing. Service was immaculate the waitress checked in often and was very apologetic for the "wait" but it didn't even take long. It's a great sushi place that's cozy casual.

Spacious spot near Google offices. Interior is clean and well lit, and didn't have to wait on a Saturday night despite it being pretty busy the whole time we were there. Service is great too! Food wasn't too good (see below), especially for the prices we paid. Side of miso soup and salad might've been the best part. FOOD: Deluxe Chirashi Bowl (6/10): Scallop, uni, and amaebi started off strong. All the other pieces were slightly seared (sign of less fresh fish, especially in chirashi) and tasted not too fresh as well. 49ers Roll (4/10): Lemon was overly strong. No fish in the middle of the roll. Salmon was also not fresh at all.

I didn't know about this sushi place that was so close to me until a couple weeks ago. Came here on a Sunday evening, wasn't too busy, we were able to get seated right away. The place is kind of ticked in a corner across the street from some businesses. It was a very spacious place with tables and booths. They had a good selection, some vegan options too. So, I put it at three stars because the sushi rolls were just ok. It is quite pricey for rolls that are just ok. I have had better rolls, for way cheaper at other places. Some of thee quality of the fish seemed fresh and some didn't. I don't know, I just would't pay 20+ bucks for mid sushi.

    Sohrob H.

Food Quality: *** Service: **** Ambiance: **** Value: ** This is a decent spot but in my opinion its okay. It is very popular for its vegan options, which is a huge plus for that community. However, for fish eaters such as myself it doesn't really hit the mark. There are a lot of options in the Bay where you can get better value imo. That said, this is very casual, family friendly and a robust creative menu making it a safe choice for a group with diverse dietary needs.

    Torro roll
    Aisling S.

Takeout review only. 3.5/5 We've gotten take out from here twice. Sushi rolls are tasty and unique, price point is a bit higher than other places. Toro roll: 3/5, I think Toro is just better as nigiri, and I felt like this toro was not as buttery as others. Chirashi bowl: 3/5 I wouldn't recommend for the price point. Fish is fresh though. The best rolls were those with walnut crunch rolls so the veggie tiger roll and the walnut shrimp roll. Those 2 are definitely 4/5. Overall I would order again but it wouldn't be my first sushi takeout pick.

    Ferrari roll
    Nancy L.

We ordered the deluxe chirashi, hamachi with truffle oil, seared salmon toro , Ferrari roll and spicy salmon roll. The chirashi had an assortment of chef choice fish and most fish came in 2 pieces so we could share the chirashi. The seared salmon toro was amazing! Ferrari roll was also very good and it came with seaweed salad and imitation crabmeat. Wait staff was super friendly . Presentation was awesome! Just a bit pricey.

    Oh Baby Box
    Kelly L.

such a satisfying meal. I don't remember eating this much fish in one sitting since japan got the deluxe chirashi ($60) and the oh baby box ($60). Both were beautifully presented, and honestly felt well worth the price bc there was actually so much fish. oh baby box - this came with seared salmon toro, scallops, uni, ikura, and crab. The natural sweetness of the scallops, uni, and crab really stood out to me. The salmon belly was also incredibly fatty and perfectly lightly seared. deluxe chirashi - this came w/ hamachi, seared salmon toro, chu toro, sweet shrimp, walu, ikura, uni, scallops, tamagoyaki (and some white fish that i didn't recognize). I liked that the chef added his own twist to flavor of the fish (the truffle hamachi and yuzu scallops were 10/10)

Mango Salmon Roll (8pcs) Spicy Tuna Crunch (8pcs)

I went during dinner time, the service and atmosphere were great. Servers were very kind. The sushi was great and there was not a fishy smell in the store despite selling sushi. They give a complementary miso soup, salad and vegi taco! Would love to come here again another time.

I am one of those people who thinks that just about every meal needs animal protein or it won't be satisfying. Well, Happy Flower proved me wrong because I came away with a very happy and full stomach and I did not even miss the meat! We ordered 8 different dishes to share family style, and I was especially pleased with the all seasons sampler and vegan fried rolls appetizers, as well as the pad Thai, salted fish fried rice, hainan chicken rice, tomato fish, and happy clay pot entrees. Each dish was quite large such that all 9 of us were able to try generous portions of each dish. And then we got two servings of the mango sticky rice to share and the mango was amazingly sweet! I did not try their boba drinks, but a few of my friends ordered drinks and enjoyed them. Their boba drinks are sized quite large as well. I will say, the meat doesn't necessarily taste like the meat it purports to imitate, but the textures for the fake chicken and fish are pretty spot on! Service was friendly and helpful and they delivered the dishes at a good pace. The inside isn't fancy, but it's clean and well lit and spacious. I wish I had known about this hidden gem sooner, but they had a good clip of takeout orders and families coming in for dinner. Parking is also plentiful and easy in their large attached lot. I will be back!

Crispy, and there is salt and black pepper in it, but overall it doesn't have much flavor outside of the sauce. Lemongrass fish lunch plate modified to have soy beef (you can switch out the protein): The broccoli itself itself was just steamed with no flavoring, so that was underwhelming. But the lemongrass beef is pretty good, firm and chewy not spicy. One of the others in my party got the eastern duck soup, which has a stronger soup flavor, you can taste the anise. It also has shiitake mushrooms. It came with veggie drumsticks, on an actual stick, but just takes like soy protein, doesn't really taste like duck. I tried a bit of Cali pho too, which was mild but pleasant, it has a ton of vegetables. Overall I'd give it more of a 3.5/5, there were certainly some items that could've used better seasoning/flavoring, but I do appreciate the amount of options that are suitable for vegetarians and actually being able to enjoy noodle soups that would usually have been meat-based. They do have outdoor tables and at the time when I had gone, no one else was sitting outside.

She said the best thing with the best flavor of what we had was the spring rolls. The chow fun and sweet and sour savory were not super flavorful. The sweet and sour savory vegan protein was more doughy than I expected. It tasted and had the consistency of mochi doughnuts. The chow fun was ok, but didn't have much flavor. We did really enjoy the fresh spring rolls though. It was also not the greatest of starts either, because we walked in as their door was open but they told us to go back outside because they weren't open yet (we were like 15min before open) And then like 5min later, 2 people walked in and they were seated. So, we just followed them in and were seated. It was a large space so it can host small and large parties. Our waiter was super nice and friendly. And the food came out fast, but I wasn't sure if that was because we were one of 3 groups in there at the time. In total, it wasn't too expensive either. All 3 dishes I believe came out to be like $45 (without tax/tip).

Tonight I was craving a home style chicken and rice dish similar to what my mom makes . Now I know it's not possible to get that from a restaurant, but the closest to that is the Donne biryani preparation that a few places offer in the Bay Area. So I looked up Yelp and found this spot. The fact that it already had 4.9 stars was reassuring but I didn't put too many expectations on it. But what I did was call the place and make sure they'd be open by the time I made that 28 mile drive. I spoke to a person named Sagar who took my order and told me to take my time getting there and drive carefully! Husband and I got there around 9:30pm and it's a cloud kitchen setup with kitchens in the back and a point of sale kiosk and counter at the front. As instructed I called Sagar and he came up to the counter with my food, and also let me know he had added a free dessert since I drove all the way from Hayward . Husband and I got home and immediately dug in and what can I say, the flavors totally took me back to my mom's kitchen. The Donne biryani was bursting with taste, and what made it superb was that the flavors were in balance, with neither the spices nor the aromatics being overpowering in any way. The other dish, the pepper chicken was epic by itself, and should have been enjoyed with a bread of some sort, because the biryani didn't need any accompaniment. As if this meal wasn't divine enough the cherry on top was the pineapple kesari dessert that Sagar kindly added to our takeout bag. Thanks Nalapaka, for a taste of home, away from home !

We liked all the dishes that were ordered. Overall a good visit to Mylpore Sunnyvale.

My second time here. We came around 5.30 and ordered a mega tiffin. I came with two kids ages 9 and…read more3. At first I thought that tiffin will be enough for us but then my kids quickly gobbled the idli and mini dosa and wanted more. So I ordered another plate of only idlis( has 3 big soft fluffy ones) and also took advantage of the happy hour to order a masala dosa for me. I am not the kind of mom who eats kids leftovers all the time. So I wanted my own dosa. For drinks, I did a medium strong filter coffee ( they make it to your customization and I was surprised to see they even had jaggery). My 9 year old took a mango lassi. Food was incredibly satisfying. Servers are very attentive and they came three times to our table offering more chutney and sambhar. We already had enough but if you like more sambhar and chutney with your food, this is heaven. One server even came with ghee for my little ones for idlis. I was so grateful. He was genuinely sweet to my kid. Felt a connection than just a business! Ambiance is classy and relaxed at the same time. Nobody gave me the side eye when my three year old was a little noisy. Have a corner for takeout containers for leftover food, very generous. I would highly recommend this place for its delicious food, relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. Prices are reasonable. They have happy hour daily from 3-6 pm and when we went at 5.30, the restaurant was more than 70% full on a Thursday. Eat early and save money too. We really had a very good time! PS- when you pay the bill ( you have to order and pay the bill before you eat at a room next to the dining area), do enter your phone number at the end and enroll in the loyalty program. I already redeemed an award today!

One thing to keep in mind: the wait can be long. We waited about 45 minutes for a party of 3 on a Saturday around 11:00 a.m., but it was absolutely worth it. I've been here on several occasions, and I'm including photos from different visits because the food has been consistently amazing every time!

I drove 20 minutes just to try this place out yesterday. The menu looks creative , as it is a hybrid of Mexican food and American food. However, the execution of the menu was terrible and the food was not good at all. I opted for the chorizo omelette with avocado slices with a side of hash browns and sourdough toast. The hash browns were overcooked, the toast was overcooked, and the omelette was way too overcooked . I can deal with crispy hash browns and toast, but omelettes should never be brown. The burnt eggs were off-putting and were as dry as my Grandma's elbows. I didn't not like my meal at all. Not even a ton of ketchup or hot sauce could save it. My Father opted for the chicharrones with eggs and beans. They did not look great , and he said it was mediocre at best. We won't be back ,as this food didn't meet our expectations.
