No. 1 Combo, Omakase 12pcs Nigiri
    Grace H.

Stumbled upon Oh Baby while on my quest to try all the sushi takeout in the Bay Area. The location was hidden away and a little random, but the inside of the store was bustling with tables even on a weekday. We tried both sushi combos (NO1 combo and 12pc omakase) and felt like it was a super decent option for takeout, just not an all time favorite. I did enjoy that they didn't skimp on garnishes for the nigiri, even for takeout. It helped add to the experience of omakase at home! All in all I would revisit, although it wouldn't be my first choice for takeout.

I went during dinner time, the service and atmosphere were great. Servers were very kind. The sushi was great and there was not a fishy smell in the store despite selling sushi. They give a complementary miso soup, salad and vegi taco! Would love to come here again another time.

Chain sushi place. We came to the Sunnyvale location. Small parking lot near Google. Easy to find parking and no wait for a Saturday evening around 6pm. Decor is clean and modern. Basic seating. We ordered 3 rolls and an udon for our toddler. They have a lot of rolls/fresh fish but not too many other food items. We noticed most families ended up ordering the udon. Food came out quick. The rolls were presented nicely and not overly saucy which we appreciated. They gave a good portion of fish. The udon was very basic but the kiddo enjoyed it. We would return.

The fish is very fresh and tasty but the service here is very bad. I usually don't complain about the service, but it was really disappointing. Here it took a long time to even get a menu and when I said that I was allergic to sesame seeds there were still sesame seeds in the food when we spoke to the women worker, she kind of just brushed it off, but the other guy helped us out.

I didn't know about this sushi place that was so close to me until a couple weeks ago. Came here on a Sunday evening, wasn't too busy, we were able to get seated right away. The place is kind of ticked in a corner across the street from some businesses. It was a very spacious place with tables and booths. They had a good selection, some vegan options too. So, I put it at three stars because the sushi rolls were just ok. It is quite pricey for rolls that are just ok. I have had better rolls, for way cheaper at other places. Some of thee quality of the fish seemed fresh and some didn't. I don't know, I just would't pay 20+ bucks for mid sushi.

Packed on Saturday night. This is my second time here. I came here about a year ago and got the omakase set. I remember it being a great deal for what you get. This time we were less hungry and opted to try some rolls. 49ers - 5/5 solid. This is my go to roll and I love how they cut off the skin for the lemon slices! Great take. Ferrari- 5/5 the sauce flavors are great and they add crab salad and seaweed salad on the side it was a great portion Uni nigiri - 4/5 I love uni I think the crispy leaf fried was too much and I would have gone without it. Watermelon juice - must get!! Fresh squeezed very refreshing. Service was immaculate the waitress checked in often and was very apologetic for the "wait" but it didn't even take long. It's a great sushi place that's cozy casual.

Spacious spot near Google offices. Interior is clean and well lit, and didn't have to wait on a Saturday night despite it being pretty busy the whole time we were there. Service is great too! Food wasn't too good (see below), especially for the prices we paid. Side of miso soup and salad might've been the best part. FOOD: Deluxe Chirashi Bowl (6/10): Scallop, uni, and amaebi started off strong. All the other pieces were slightly seared (sign of less fresh fish, especially in chirashi) and tasted not too fresh as well. 49ers Roll (4/10): Lemon was overly strong. No fish in the middle of the roll. Salmon was also not fresh at all.

Food Quality: *** Service: **** Ambiance: **** Value: ** This is a decent spot but in my opinion its okay. It is very popular for its vegan options, which is a huge plus for that community. However, for fish eaters such as myself it doesn't really hit the mark. There are a lot of options in the Bay where you can get better value imo. That said, this is very casual, family friendly and a robust creative menu making it a safe choice for a group with diverse dietary needs.

Takeout review only. 3.5/5 We've gotten take out from here twice. Sushi rolls are tasty and unique, price point is a bit higher than other places. Toro roll: 3/5, I think Toro is just better as nigiri, and I felt like this toro was not as buttery as others. Chirashi bowl: 3/5 I wouldn't recommend for the price point. Fish is fresh though. The best rolls were those with walnut crunch rolls so the veggie tiger roll and the walnut shrimp roll. Those 2 are definitely 4/5. Overall I would order again but it wouldn't be my first sushi takeout pick.

We ordered the deluxe chirashi, hamachi with truffle oil, seared salmon toro , Ferrari roll and spicy salmon roll. The chirashi had an assortment of chef choice fish and most fish came in 2 pieces so we could share the chirashi. The seared salmon toro was amazing! Ferrari roll was also very good and it came with seaweed salad and imitation crabmeat. Wait staff was super friendly . Presentation was awesome! Just a bit pricey.

    complimentary salad and miso soup

Walked in on a Sat and got promptly seated, though we came right before the crowd as it was pretty packed shortly after we sat down. The space is simple, but charming and clean. We got a complimentary salad and miso soup, both of which were quite delicious. We ordered a deluxe chirashi and salmon lover roll to share, both of which were below average for the bay. The quality of the fish wasn't very fresh, and I was a bit disappointed that the salmon lover (maybe called 49ers roll here) roll didn't have salmon inside, only on top of the roll. They didn't have their liquor license yet when we visited, so drinks selection was pretty limited.

Kinda out in the boonies area of Sunnyvale aka Google ville. Met up with friends for dinner. Regular rolls came out quick but the chirashi bowls and the oh baby box took forever to come out. No joke! I finished my two sets of rolls and still my friend's box took another 30 mins...in total over an hour! Wowowowow....good presentation, good fresh sushi but hella long wait to get the food and pricy! Protip: you can order alcohol at the bar next door (inside of Togos) and bring it over to the restaurant. You are welcome.

Came by for dinner the other night and it was a mediocre experience. Oh Baby Sushi is a Chinese-owned Americanized sushi restaurant right across from the Google campus. Parking is plentiful in the private strip mall lot and dining is indoors only. Staff were 100% hispanic and all wore disposable gloves to pick up trash, to wipe their nose, to rub their face, and to make sushi. The staff that came by with our check had holes in his super loose gloves. The cooks in the kitchen would take off and put on the same glove to make more sushi?!? Started off with the miso soup which was more like miso-flavored water. It was heavily watered down...unlike anything I've had in Japan. The side salad was decent. I loved how the dressing was on the side. The omakase consisted of 12 pieces. The fish was decent although the rice was absolutely off. The rice kinda fell apart and wasn't sushi rice...it was more like rice from a Chinese restaurant...bummer. The baked scallop roll only came out after our waiter asked if we wanted more food...when we ordere the roll at the beginning. Turns out the roll was just hanging out in the kitchen...lovely. The highlight of the baked scallop roll was the real crab add-on for $6. ~$55/head after tax and gratuity for dinner.

Thank you for your inquiry, Alice. We don't take reservations; however, the Sunnyvale location is a big restaurant that no customer needs to wait to be seated since we opened. Hope my answer helps.

Wish there was a tiny bit more seafood but it was fresh and served on the hot plate which kept the food warm throughout the meal. Also tried the chicken karaage and veggie tempura. If you like seafood and delicious/healthy sides this is a good spot for you. For food we tried the macadamian crusted salmon with tahini sauce with a side of the kimchi fried rice and sesame green beans. This was absolutely delicious and I really loved the sauce on the salmon. The kimchi fried rice and beans/brussel sprout veggies are always a hit so I would recommend those if you can. The mashed potatoes here are also delicious. We also tried the sticky ribs which was an appetizer which was not bad. I did not LOVE the sauce, but it was worth trying. Each rib did have plenty of meat though which was nice. Overall, always would recommend to try this spot!

Sure enough we met at the PC off Mathilda in Sunnyvale. This neighborhood sure has grown. Kal's BBQ was still there, my food service account about 20 years ago. I found the PC and parked in the multi level garage just behind the restaurant. Still an early dinner time at 5:15ish, I sat at the to wait and pursue the menu. Now I've eaten several times at the Mountain View location and enjoyed it very much. This spot, well seemed kind cold, empty and I was not approached in the 10 or so minutes I sat at the bar...menu's changed. Smaller or fewer offerings, ok keep focused on what you do well, cut some costs works for me. The kids showed up, still nobody So I grabbed three menus and sat us along the wall at a four top. The server came right over once we sat and we were good. Beverages were ordered and I had decided on the Seafood and chips with cole slaw and a dinner salad. A ordered two sushi roll plates. Aa ordered something but I don't remember. The food was out in good time, I was disappointed that my salad hadn't arrived before my entree....oh well. The salad had the house dressing, I typically ask for the dressing that is house made, I couldn't hear/understand what dressing she said. Anyway the salad was good, I liked the edamame beans as a topping garnish. The Seafood fish, calamari and coconut shrimp and spicy fries, good Looking further it appeared that the cooking time in the fryer was, well inconsistent. The Coconut shrimp cooked to almost burned which made the shrimp dry, spicy fries just a notch below burned but good. The two battered cod pieces, I'm not sure as the battered crust was not too sturdy and fell off the fish. Then the calamari seemed to be cooked just right, a bit on the lighter side. I still ate it all. I didn't eat the cole slaw, it looked as if it was from a few days ago, dry tasteless. As our table was cleared plate by plate I saw Aa hadn't touched his black beans. Now black beans are a favorite of mind, these were tasteless. Aa looked at me as I finished my bite of his beans and said "I didn't like them either". The vibe was not there as it is in MV, my own sense of things. If I didn't know the franchise I wouldn't return to this location, there's plenty of other places to get an excellent meal. See ya at the next place I drive to...thanks Foodguy-Martin.
