Incredible brunch experience! The cocktails were great, the options were great, and it all tasted great! We had 2 picky eaters in our group and the young one was able to get biscuits and jam w a side of bacon. Perfect! The other was able to get a scrambled egg, a pancake, and a side of ham. He commented that it was his idea of a perfect breakfast. We tried the lemon ricotta pancakes, and they were better than you could even hope for. Unique and delicious, highly recommend. The country sausage gravy and biscuits, again very delicious. The greens that come with each dish are a nice touch, but it seemed they were only dressed with oil. Not a problem w the other dishes we had but it stood out here because a bright acid would have been nice alongside the heavy gravy. The California eggs benedict we're done very well, with our only major concern of the whole meal as the one exception. The poached eggs were very noticeably underdone, with a lot of raw whites visible in each bite. I'd get it again but ask that they poach a little longer. I went quite earlier on when Oh My Darling first opened and it was so popular and busy that the food took some time to come out of the kitchen. My group didn't mention this once to the staff, but 3 or 4 staff members made it a point to apologize to our table and we didn't complain once. That felt great. The food is very tasty and carefully created. Veggie Burger - sprouts, mushrooms veggie patty with sweet potato fries. (I replaced the bun to a gluten free bun, because the existing carb contained dairy in it) This was made very nicely and with great taste. I didn't find it overly mushroom-y or anything. A beautiful interior and delicious food made for wonderful dining experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the mac n' cheese as well as the hot honey chicken. Super cute new spot downtown that opened St. Patrick's Day weekend. Especially a great spot to stop by and hang out at before/after a show at the Landmark. They even have a special menu when there are shows at the theater. I've come here for drinks at the bar and for dinner before a show. Always a good time. The staff is great and so welcoming. The service is also good, very attentive and willing to make your experience a pleasurable one. The cocktails are good, but aren't very strong. Definitely flavorful though. Each one has its own special, unique flavor profile to it. Loved each and every one of them. The food is also pretty good. - The cauliflower steak was really interesting. It paired well with the curry and rice. Simple, but delicious. - The corn risotto was also pretty good. Smooth, creamy, and flavorful. - The fries were good ole basic fries. Nice and crispy, freshly made fries. - The veggie burger was also good. It was a good blend of mushrooms for the patty. - The darling burger was also good. Well made, plenty of flavor. The truffle fries were also really good. I haven't been to the take-out side of the place, Clementine, but I can only imagine more good things like I've experienced at Oh My Darling. The Fitz, the speakeasy, was supposed to open St. Patrick's Day weekend but there are still some construction stuff they have to finalize before they can open. Came on a Wednesday night and waited about 10 minutes. Cute space, loved the exposed brick, decor was great. The building was very loud though, like cafeteria loud. Conversations really travelled throughout. Made it hard to hear the people I was with. I ordered the shrimp and grits and the Mac n cheese. Mac n cheese was okay but the shrimp and grits were so good. I would go there again just for that. read more

This place just opened up downtown and was recommended to me by a couple friends. We went on a Saturday, around 2pm. No wait, which I found odd considering it was prime Brunch time and we had a pretty large group. The restaurant is big, and decorated very well. The menu has nothing special, but they do it well. I went with the Eggs Benedict, and it came on a Portuguese muffin, which is a bit more doughy than English muffin and it works. Drinks here for brunch are alright. They have a full bar, but they don't have bottomless brunch, which I think would be a good addition to this place. This is the most incredible downtown atmosphere in Syracuse, New York. Very cool selection of food. Staff is incredible and upbeat.

Have been to Oh my Darling for every type of meal they offer and enjoy myself every time! One of the newer spots in Syracuse, OMD does lunches, dinners and a great weekend brunch! They have great drinks too (their pear cocktail which may be seasonal is my absolute favorite). For brunch, I have had the Farmers Omelette, as well as tried the Banana Bread French Toast. Both delicious, though a heavy way to start the morning. My ABSOLUTE favorite drink is their Honey and Pear Margarita, I could drink 10! Other items I have had are the Lee Lee's Chicken sandwich (good but not life changing) and the rosemary dipped chicken with Mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts. Also had the cacio e Pepe which was delicious. Coolest part? On certain nights, they have A SPEAKEASY IN THEIR BASEMENT CALLED THE FITZ! You can tell it's open when the light is on over the door in the front. There is no service down there on purpose so you have to talk to your friends! Pretty pricey drinks, so wouldn't go there for a night out, but a cool spot to stop by with friends or for a date. Overall, a great newer spot in downtown Syracuse I will be back to! read more

We stopped by after the Beach Boy concert last night at the fair, we grabbed one of our favorites we get at the restaurant, Shrimp and Grits, it was delicious!! Same quality same great service, they really now how to get things done. We chatted with the manager and complemented her on the dish, their cook came over and chatted as well. Very very disappointed in my experience. I made reservations about 2 months ago for my husband birthday. It was about 15 of us all together and none of us are from Syracuse so we traveled from different locations. I asked all the important questions prior (ex: Can we all have separate checks, can someone come and set up early) and I was told yes to all my answers. My friend arrived there early and was told she couldn't set up for the birthday dinner. When we all got our dinners, everything was cold-warmish and no one wanted to send it back because they made everyone wait to order until my husband and I got there. The food didn't arrive until 45 min to close to an hour later. To be priced the way it is $19+, that food should have tasted like it was fresh out the oven. On top of that, everyone who got something involving mac and cheese, it look NOTHING like the pictures on yelp or google. We basically had cold velveeta instead of the bake mac and cheese like the picture. THEN, at the end when it came to everyone's bill, the waiter told us all at the last minute that the bill couldn't be separated. I felt so bad that I picked this place for my husband's surprise dinner. I never want a new dinner experience to be a headache, especially since we all spent $500 in total here at the restaurant! The only highlight of the night was almost everyone that was eating/visiting the restaurant separately from us, randomly started singing happy birthday to my husband with us. I think among restaurants in the area, Oh My Darling has been one of the top innovators trying to bring new life to the Syracuse restaurant scene by adding a contemporary environment. Their styling is well done, their menu is creative, and it has a lot of potential to be somewhere great. I think it is well loved for the fresh environment that it provides, which is well done. However, it seems that while the menu has a lot to offer, the quality of the food often falls subpar to the expectation set. The menu prices are not unfair, but higher than necessary for the consistent quality of the food. The plating is well done and the food is photogenic, but in my personal experience the food taste itself has been fairly lackluster. Consistently my meals have just been bland, under seasoned, undercooked or overcooked, and things just fall flat. I find that while exciting promises are made on the menu, often times the flavor of the dishes just doesn't meet the mark they set for themselves. It usually feels fine, but not often something that I've felt I couldn't have prepared at home. I believe the technique and quality is just lacking for the price per dish. I really want to love it here, I will honestly keep trying it out because I want it to be something great and I hope they can grow into the image they have made for themselves. But I think they could absolutely benefit from really refining what they have and making it top tier. read more

We went back and had a much better food experience this time! Both seafood dishes were perfectly cooked and seasoned. We ordered the salmon and the scallop dishes- the accompanying vegetables were tender and the corn risotto was well cooked and had great flavor. Our waiter was a little odd as he would jump in and out of our conversations as he walked up yet had a hard time getting to his point. It was almost comical at times. We also thought his service was slow but we didn't mind as we were enjoying one another's company and the beautiful weather outside. Visiting my girlfriend in Syracuse from Manhattan and was seriously let down by my experience here. After being seated it took 10 minutes for our server to arrive. The food came out fairly quickly (10/15) minutes to my surprise however, that's where things went downhill. The chicken salad sandwich my girlfriend ordered was way too heavy on the mayonnaise, the Mac and cheese was bland and had a peculiar non-cheese taste to it. In addition my chicken in my chicken and waffles was bland and I'm scratching my head on the decision to doubt powdered sugar on the side salad. The waffles were mediocre and one would think that you would add maple syrup to chicken and waffles or at least a substantial serving of sauce to it. As an owner of a restaurant that's known for their brunch I was quite disappointed in my dining experience and would not come back again. read more

She ensured we understood the menu and checked with us after every course to ensure we were satisfied. The cesar salad was perfectly prepared with two toast slices serving as croutons. My fish tacos were served with a tangy and spicy marmalade and a side of crispy fries. The house draft beer was a great addition. Usually a pretty solid experience, however if you do not order alcohol, do not expect to get remotely fast service. Attended a dinner and did not order drinks. The restaurant was not busy and food took over an hour to come. A manager came over to essentially ask why drinks had not been ordered which felt excessive after our waiter had already confirmed twice that no one wanted to purchase alcohol. It took two and a half hours for us to finally get the check. I do not usually write reviews, but these times were not exaggerated and no restaurant one should be pressuring people to drink. Went in on a Friday at 6:15 we were able to get right in. The flatbread special was tasty. Mozzarella, soppressata, tomato, olive oil, seasoning. We ordered the shrimp and grits (half order) and cacio e pepe. If you are someone from NYC, do not order the cacio e pepe. It is not the same. It had an okay taste, but nothing like authentic cacio e pepe. The noodles were not homemade, and it lacked the pepper taste. The shrimp and grits were very good. We wished we ordered the full size. The batter that was on the shrimp was delicious, the grits had a red pepper taste to them. There's a possibility we'll be back, but still unsure. read more

Heard really good things but was very disappointed in the service. I went here on a Thursday in the mid-afternoon. It was not busy. My party of 2 was seated immediately at a table for 4 but it was downhill from there. Couldn't even hear the waiter trying to tell us about the specials because he spoke so fast. Then, we put in our drink order. I order the cocktail special even though I still didn't catch what the waiter said was in it. The cosmo cocktail special was good! However, our drinks took forever. Our waiter even sped by our table at one point to let us know they should be out soon but they hadn't even begun to be made! He eventually walked behind the bar and started making them after several more minutes went by. The cocktails were actually good at least! While I was in the middle of conversation, he was speaking to another table and spoke across the room interrupting me to give my rave review about the drink... I've never had a waiter do that. At first, I didn't even know he was trying to get my attention and he was like "why is she laughing?" while I was in conversation!!! The audacity. Then, we finally got our food after several more minutes and it wasn't even delivered by our waiter. It seemed like our waiter was all over the place. I really think he forgot about us at several points. I ordered the Crispy Chick sandwich was okay. The sauce for the sweet potato fries was way too sweet. The sandwich was so spicy that I was sweating and didn't even finish it. But I don't think I could've come back to it because our waiter was rushing to take our (not even close to empty) plates. I was so annoyed that I just let him take my plate even though I could've eaten more. Even before he took our plates, he set our receipt down. We felt rushed even though there were so many empty tables and they weren't closing or anything! After he took our plates, he set yet another of the same receipt at our table trying to get us to pay. It was rude! After that, he took our credit card and held onto it for what felt like at least 10 minutes while we were waiting for him to charge it and bring it back. He was all over the place, we couldn't even wave him down. Still so many empty tables. We just wanted to PAY. He eventually came back looking at us like "why are you still here" while he still hadn't charged our card! He apologized but still! It was in his pocket the whole time. We worried he was trying to use it for his personal charges during that whole time he had it. We'll be checking our transactions. At the end, he was like "ask for me next time you come!" Oh my darling is probably the most aesthetically pleasing restaurant in downtown Syracuse. The waiters and waitresses are very friendly and welcoming. I had the blood orange margarita without alcohol and it was very refreshing. For our main course, we had the lee lee's chicken sandwich and it was so amazing! The fries complimented the sandwich well with its' crispness. My friend had the burger with goat cheese and it has a surprisingly sweet taste to it. Really loved their cocktails especially the whiskey smash!! Interior is very cute and open. But honestly during the summer HAD to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. Only downfall and this is no fault not the restaurants part is that the outdoor can be sketchy with people begging for money. Food- have only ordered the hot fried chicken dish each time I have went because I thought it was that good. Loved the sides with it- the Mac n cheese and the Brussels sprout. Service was great.
