Stopped by to pickup a phone order for my friends which included chicken katsu. After checking on my order when I got in my car, I noticed the katsu sauce (3 plastic cups w/lids) were in a separate bag and one of the cups open & spilt all over the other cups n large puddle in the plastic bag. Not the first time happening from this store btw. I walked back in and requested new cups of sauce. Wow, the most disappointing and disturbing customer service I received from the male greeter/waiter. Practically threw the new sauce cups in another bag, tossed the open bag to me after numerous stink eye's and blatantly grumbling to the other counter staff about it. Was getting a slurpee from 7/11 and saw that this place had saimin. Sat down and ordered a spam saiming. Noodles were soggy asf and breaking when i tried to eat them.. It was like they soaked them in water for 10 minutes before serving. Over heard a customer asking for more teriyaki sauce and the guy said it was $1.50 . Never coming back here again. read more

Ok, so this location is pretty good. I guess I'm more use to going to the one in Pearl Kai that I'm being bias on the place. SORRY! But, tbh... the food was good! We all had a nice late dinner after the UB40 concert and needed a place that wasn't super busy but had a good variety of food. This was the best place to think of. And because of YELP... I was able to learn there was an "OH MY GRILL!" nearby. So thank you YELP! I didn't really take much photos of the food or place because we just had a few drinks & a long night FUN NIGHT dancing and screaming our lungs out and we were ready to call it a night. lol! I'm TOO OLD to pull an all nighter! Heh But I will say... the DO have delicious food and ALMOST the same things as the pearl kai one. Yesterday was just a really exhausting day of cleaning up so I ended up using Door Dash We ordered from Oh My Grill that's in the McCully Shopping Center. My husband and I went there when they did their soft opening. It was super busy. My mom had the mini Teri Pork. She was happy that they offered tossed salad. She said she was tired of Mac salad. They provided ranch dressing but since we were at home she used her own dressing For a mini she had pretty nice sized pieces of the Teri pork . She loved the taste. She told me to remember that she really liked this dish. Not sure why but I've been on a Chicken Katsu run for the last few days Their Katsu wasn't greasy and instead of Mac salad I got all rice. The Katsu was soft and juicy and not over cooked. The Katsu sauce was meh so I used the Katsu sauce I had in my refrigerator instead Overall we will eat here again. Their food is always tasty My favorite is still their lemon chicken. I took off a star because of that Katsu sauce. I seriously did not like it. read more

Best outta the best went here last night for dinner with my family placed a take out order the girl that helped us was very friendly from start to finish of our order the welcome feeling is good the place was busy telling me that the food is great so we ordered and waiting not to long after food came out speedy service. The food was flowing with flavor both plates were made to perfection. So we tried Oh My Grill at McCully Shopping Center for the first time tonight. Overall the experience was ok. The place is bright and pretty clean. The portions are very generous and the kids working the front of the house were friendly and generally helpful. Tables turned over pretty quickly, but they didn't try to rush us as two of my kids are young and are slow eaters. They were also pretty attentive when it came to refilling water. Some of the food was really quite good. I had the garlic fish fillet which they informed me was basa. One of my twins had the garlic shrimp spaghetti. Also pretty decent. My wife had the cold ginger chicken. The other twin ordered the rib eye steak. An ok value, but it came over cooked. When they asked what temperature for the steak, we asked for medium rare. What came out was close to well done.... From the pictures in the menu, I suspect the cooks only know to prepare it the way most Asians from HK or China prefer it, medium well to well done.... My eldest daughter chose the deep fried shrimp. These were good if you eat them with a sauce, such as the tartar sauce they provided. Unfortunately, my kid doesn't like or use tartar sauce or most sauces, so she just added a bunch of salt. It wasn't her style or taste, so we can't fault the staff or cooks. I actually thought it was pretty good with the tartar sauce. Oh, and I also shared a chili cheese fries with one of the twins. The portions for this was huge, but the chili was not what we were expecting. It was heavy on the tomato paste and not much on other seasonings or proteins. It actually reminds me of the spaghetti sauce at Tanaka Saimin on Nimitz. We saw some things on the drinks and desserts portion of the menu that we will want to try next time, like the acai bowl and the dark chocolate hot cocoa. Overall, this place was a nice change for us and a decent bargain. However, we probably wouldn't order the steaks and stick to things that are garlic or have a good sauce or gravy. If they learn to cook the steaks at temps like an actual medium rare, we might consider giving the steaks another try. read more

The first time we had Oh My Grill, it was good and my fried ice cream was warm. The second time we had it, my fried ice cream was cold. Tonight was the third time and i'm very dissatisfied. I picked up my order and when i went into my car my fried ice cream bread was cold already and the ice cream completely melted. A soggy mess. (Mind you we live close by, and got there in a timely manner) On top of that, the bbq chicken saimin was SO BLAND. The broth had no taste... Came around 11:45 on a Thursday. Got the order pretty quick. Decided to eat in. They have a soda machine that is self serve. Not sure if it is refillable. The restaurant is clean and the employees are friendly. The only reason why I would not give 5 stars is because the beef stir fry contained mostly onions, green bell peppers, and carrot slivers. It felt like I was eating a fried salad. The meat was mostly on top, so the photo looks like its a lot, but it isn't a lot of beef. They offer free tea or coffee which was nice. read more

We were in the vicinity and came here for dinner. It's a plate lunch place with a variety of options. Prices are reasonable. You can get a steak and two eggs breakfast for $9.99 before 11am. They also have free coffee and tea that you can serve yourself. I was shocked to see that. How many places have you dined at that offer you free tea or coffee? They actually have those one serving containers of Delight creamers instead of just the powdered type. We ended up getting the BBQ Mixed Plate. It had two pieces of deboned chicken thighs, one piece of short rib, one piece of beef, two scoops of white rice and one scoop of mac salad. We also added a bbq burger. Everything on the plate lunch was good. I don't like mac salad, but this one was really creamy with perfect seasoning. The short rib was a little undercooked. I had them throw it back on the grill for a few minutes and it was good to go. The bbq burger was juicy and hit the spot. I'd return and probably get the steak and eggs for $9.99. My brother and I went to Oh My Grill for lunch. He ordered sweet sour spare ribs and I ordered the meat lovers special. His order arrived within a few minutes but I was still waiting for my order after 15 minutes. By that time, my brother was already halfway finished with his meal. He mentioned that his spare ribs was tough and should have been cooked longer. I lost patience and cancelled my order. Although the waiter was very attentive and apologized for the delay, he should have informed that the meat special would take so long to make! If you like Zippy's this place is just as good and cheaper too. I've ordered many times from this place. The chicken katsu plate is huge! Great for sharing. I've had the bbq mix plate, the fried noodle w/ ham, the shrimp curry. All pretty good. I've seen this place really busy on peak times. They give you a lot of food even if you get the smaller portion. My daughter got a mixed bbq plate which I would give 4 stars. My lemon chicken was 2 stars. I ordered a mini loco moco, (white rice, hamburger patty, over easy and brown gravy, my companion ordered a healthy bowl, white rice, chicken, broccoli and carrots. Both are mini sized. Since my last review OMG on kapiolani in mccully shopping center caught fire and was closed for quite sometime. Once they reopened it was a complete 180. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, definitely made fresh and the ambiance was comforting and quaint. I love the turn around they did and would definitely recommend going to this place. This is one of my favorite cheap eat spots. It's super affordable and a regular plate will hit the spot if you're eating out on a budget. I bought this plate for about $10 and look at the picture more orange chicken then there is rice. Great value and quality food. Their orange chicken is way better than panda expresses. Panda Express is dry while theirs is saucy and super tender. read more
