So excited to have a Hawaiian bbq spot in south Marin! Tried Oha this evening and ordered the island fire chicken mini meal and spam musubi. The restaurant is located in the Marin Gateway center which has plenty of parking. The restaurant was pretty empty when I went in. The cashier was friendly and my order was ready in about 5 minutes. Like many Hawaiian restaurants, the food portions are big! The mini meal is definitely a filling dinner portion - not that mini. The island fire chicken was spicy and full of flavor. The Mac salad didn't have as much flavor compared to some of the other macs I've tried, but still tasted good. The musubi was great - make sure to get the extra sauce to dip it in. The seaweed wrapped around the musubi was fresh and not tough to bite through. Overall great food and a good spot for fast & casual takeout. This shopping center seems to have been a challenging spot for other restaurants & businesses in the past and I really hope Oha is here to stay! read more

This is a new place located in the strip mall in Marin City. There aren't many Hawaiian places in Marin so I was excited to try this place. I ordered the Aloha plate with BBQ chicken and the lemon pepper chicken. The food seemed to be cooked to order. The BBQ chicken tasted like teriyaki (maybe they mixed up my order). The lemon pepper chicken was good but needed something to go with it (a sauce?) The prices are good and the portions are decent. It came with a large quantity of rice and a lightly dressed green salad. I liked the dressing. It also came with a sauce that tasted like a sweetened soy sauce. That was tasty too. My daughter ordered the chicken katsu which came with rice and mac salad. The katsu was good but was coated and fried with a batter rather than being breaded with panko. I liked the batter but would rather it be breaded. The katsu sauce was sweeter than what I've had at other places, but was a nice change. The mac salad has an unusual flavor that I didn't like (fish sauce?). I gave this place 3 stars because it doesn't stand out. They do a good job, but it doesn't rise above an average plate lunch restaurant. I'll will probably return and try some other items because I think this place has potential. read more

There were several people there and the counter service, while slow at first picked up as more people entered. I order Musubi for my wife and received the grilled chicken mini meal.
