I came here with a friend for happy hour on a Thursday. It wasn't busy when we came, but it got really busy after! They had a good amount of happy hour stuff. I got a spam musubi and a Belltown roll. I didn't know that the spam musubi comes with 2, so I was super full after just eating that. We also got some drinks. The options are pretty fruity and sweet, but they do taste good. It was a nice happy hour, I recommend this place if you're looking for some good snacks. I didn't try anything from the dinner menu, but I wanted to try the loco moco or the chicken adobo. I came to Ohana Belltown with some friends on a rainy night. There weren't too many other customers in the restaurant. We split a tofu agedashi and chicken karaage. They were both cooked well and tasted as expected. The tofu agedashi was better in my opinion compared to the karaage so I'd recommend getting that appetizer. For my main entree, I ordered the curry rice with chicken katsu. First off, the portion sizes were large. I was quite full after my meal and for the price, it was very reasonable. I really liked the orange slices for after the meal that came with my entree. The curry was cooked well and the chicken katsu could have had a little more meat but it was done well. I'd recommend the curry rice with chicken katsu because it is definitely worth the price. The reason I'm taking a star off was because even though it was not busy at all, only a few customers at the bar getting drinks and the rest of the restaurant was empty, the service was a tad slow. It took a couple looks to get the waiter's attention to order and a decent amount of time for the food to come out. I'm curious how the restaurant is when it's busier. read more

For what it is, it's perfect. It's weird, it's wonderful, and the food is good! I wanted Hawaiian food, randomly, after my partner and I found out the two Sushi places we wanted to go to didn't have happy hours for another, seemingly excruciating, period of time. She remembered this place was right there. It's very solid. They have plum wine, they have dive-bar Tiki cocktails. But they do a seriously impressive ginger chicken noodle. It's real Hawaiian, too. They have enough Philippine cuisine and influence that they really manage to capture the spirit of Hawaii. The decor is pretty perfect too. The value for money is right what you'd want. One of my new favorite places! I've already been back two times within the last two weeks. I might make it a weekly thing - haha. My first time here was on a date and I ordered the veggie spring rolls and vegetable tempura. I absolutely loved the peanut sauce that came with the spring rolls - it's one of the best I've ever had. The vegetables in the spring rolls were fresh and it was a perfect combination. Personally for me I tend to stay away from spring rolls because many places put a lot of tofu in it and that's not my thing. The vegetable tempura were cooked perfectly crispy and you get an assortment of onions, yams and some other veggies. There was something for everyone on the menu and as a vegetarian I had no problem picking something and the drink choices were plentiful! There was a ton of food to include a serving of the potato/Mac salad along with the loco moco. The gravy was complete yumminess and smothered the rice, eggs, and patty. Perfection! Hawaiian Mac salad is my favorite part of eating at a Hawaiian restaurant. Sadly, the potato/Mac salad at Ohana's tasted like mayonnaise and not the yummy onion, potato, egg, carrots, peas, and Mac that is typically experienced. I've been going to Ohana's for years. I love their super casual and friendly environment and their Hawaiian food is also delicious! My favorite item on their menu is probably their half baked roll. It's a California roll topped with salmon then baked. It's seriously amazing! It takes a little while for it to come out, so you probably want to try to order it as soon as possible. They also have a great happy hour menu as well. I've had their spam musubi and their loco moco which I also love! It's like comfort food to me, the gravy is so good. Definitely try it! It can get a little loud and rowdy inside so it's hard to have conversions sometimes but it's part of the environment I guess. The service is sometimes slow and we need to try to flag someone down but overall it's not too bad. The food is great so I'll definitely keep coming back! read more

The spam musubi and the lava flow drink were the standout items! SUPER YUMMY!!! From the regular menu, we ordered the Ohana Tuna Poke, Half Baked Roll, Dragon Roll and the Super Crunchy Roll. Enjoyed a girl's night out on Saturday ... crowd was moderate and the place was pretty noisy but that is what I expected. The food was amazing and we enjoyed a little bit of everything. The pupu platter was a great dish for the table to share and everything was prepared to perfection. We didn't know what the sauces were but a little taste cleared all that up. The sushi was fresh and delicious. The Chizuko roll and Firecracker rolls were amazing; the california roll was good too. The DJ started right at 10pm and there wasn't much room for a dance floor so things seemed to get a little over crowded when people started swing dancing to hip hop music right behind our table (awkward). This place has happy hour and it's even extended to 7pm on Friday! I got a groupon but it is not applicable to the Happy Hour Menu. I would suggest checking out the HH menu before purchasing a groupon. The groupon is only worth it if you are interested in ordering things off the HH menu. As for service, I came in at the tail of Happy hour and when I asked for the menu the gentleman rudely informed us "U CANT DO HAPPY HOUR". It left a bad impression before the food even arrived. The sushi is just average. I guess we shouldn't expected good sushi at an hawaiian place. The scallop, and sweet shrimp sushi were sub par and not sweet. However the fried shrimp head that came with the sweet shrimp was good. The salmon and uni were okay. Uni is priced well but they only give you one piece vs. two pieces at usual sushi places. I would recommend ordering the specialty rolls such as the 69 roll which was very tasty but the sashimi/nirigri is lacking. For dessert the fried tempura ice cream was good but could have been crispier. Overall, I would recommend this place for happy hour, drinks, and specialty rolls but not sushi. read more

My husband and I decided to head to Seattle for a weekend getaway which we haven't had since having children four years ago. So we were really excited we stumbled across the Ohana restaurant on Friday the 8th our first night in Seattle and while the food was good and the service was fabulous. We got back to our hotel and within two hours I was projectile vomiting and having diarrhea. I was so incredibly sick for the next 24 hours. We finally decided we weren't going to stay another night at our hotel. So in the end because we came to this restaurant we missed out on our vacation and money spent to travel to Seattle.
