Someone referred us to this place for small bites and We were looking forward to trying bunch of small bites after hearing great things. unfortunately when we got to this place they didn't have that many items, perhaps because of rush hour. We ended up getting fried shrimp which was delicious, the breading and the seasoning was on point.

A friend and I were visiting Seattle when we stopped by pike place after starving from our 5 hour trip from Vancouver. After scanning pike place we had heard Seattle had good teriyaki spots so we decided to try this. There weren't any pictures of the meals, which I usually appreciate at cheap food spots. The server wasn't really willing to spend time to explain the difference between each order as well. There was also an extra 5% credit fee for purchases under $8 , so I made sure to go above it. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki ($11) with extra meat, which came with a salad and portion of rice on the side. The rice was depressingly plain and the salad had sad little stems of broccoli with a weakly flavored sauce. The chicken and teriyaki sauce was pretty good, but nothing that I couldn't find in a cheap grocery store teriyaki bottle. The food also came out pretty lukewarm. There were much more colorful and diverse options in pike place I could have and should have chosen from. I'd recommend avoiding this place until they step up their game and make less plain dishes

I came back to this place shortly after coming for the first time. This time, I ordered the same thing I did last time. I wanted a vegetarian sushi roll, which they have several of on their menu, and they said they were only selling what they had prepared in the counter display. It was lunch time on a Friday so I might have understood if there was a very long line but there wasn't anyone else there. I'm disappointed they weren't able to prepare one of their regular menu items.

Went consecutive days. Very fast service and delicious. Seafood udon was better than the chicken. Boba was also very good.

I have gotten the bubble tea here before and thus far i have not been disappointed. my friend said that his taro was good and my avocado one was good too. the tapioca pearls were perfect in my opinion because they were very chewy and very sweet! i don't like too sweet so this was a subtle sweet for tapioca pearls. they're very fast at getting orders out, there were two other people in front and we didn't wait more than 5 minutes for our drinks. the workers are always so kind and i never have issues with the little old lady who i think owns the stand!

Solid food - slightly over priced but given it's location, not bad!

Food was okay way overpriced. They also failed to make one of my orders and insisted I didn't pay.

Looks like they changed owners. They microwave their foods and nothing tastes the same anymore. What a shame.

Had a chicken teriyaki stick here. Quick grab and go spot in Pike's place Market. The chicken was ok, nothing special.

We opted for the 16pc Chef's Choice Sushi Course, which consisted of 4 courses. For the first course, we were served Albacore, Flounder, Sea Bream, and Black Snapper, which were excellent. The cuts of fish were great, and I appreciated the server advising where we should skip the soy sauce. The second course was Amberjack, Striped Jack, and 3 different Salmon varieties. As a salmon lover, I especially enjoyed this part! The fourth course consisted of Bluefin Tuna served 4 ways (all delicious) and the final course had Chopped Fatty Tuna, Eel, and Tamago. This last one was probably my least favorite, and the Tamago was different than normal, almost pastry-like. However, the overall experience was awesome, and we were very full by the end. A pricey but delicious dinner!

It seems great for special occasions (we saw them coming by with a polaroid for those celebrating such as birthdays or anniversaries. I enjoyed how relaxed the vibes are at this place. I wish they had more cold tea options for the summer and more non-alcoholic drinks in general, but still had a great experience. The fish selection is fresh and the pieces are very manageable. It feels like there is a local touch with the salmon course/pieces. My husband is left handed and I was very impressed our waiter noticed and adjusted accordingly. I especially loved their soy sauce (which they said was house made). Fun little date night out and we really did enjoy it. Highly recommend making a reservation as that is what we did.

Since my birthday fell on a Wednesday, we were lucky enough to have Chef Shiro Kashiba himself behind the counter preparing and serving our meal. The entire experience was incredible. The service was organized, attentive, and made the evening feel truly special. Chef Shiro Kashiba is knowledgeable, entertaining, and incredibly passionate about his craft. With every course, from salmon and tuna to white fish, mackerel, shellfish, and eel, he explained how each piece should be eaten, where the fish was sourced, and even shared personal stories from his career. It felt like he was telling a story through every piece of sushi he prepared, making the experience both captivating and unforgettable. Chef Shiro Kashiba is truly inspiring. It was also wonderful to see that everyone seated at our counter had traveled from out of state just to experience his omakase, which speaks volumes about his reputation. This was, without a doubt, the best sushi omakase experience I've ever had. The fish was exceptionally fresh, and every bite was thoughtfully prepared. The flavors were unlike any sushi I've had before and gave me a whole new appreciation for how extraordinary sushi can be when it's crafted by a chef with such deep knowledge and experience. I would absolutely love to come back again. I left feeling completely satisfied and fulfilled, yet hungry for more of this amazing sushi experience. I love this concept. I'm not much of a roll person bc it's always pricey and then you have to eat all 6-8 pieces, so this was right up my alley. We loved it so much, we came here 2x when we were in Seattle. And even our first time we had to get seconds. All the sushi from the beginning are rolls, and near the end they are nigiris. So save some space for the good stuff at the end. The first time during lunch hour, they kept restocking the sushi, and they even had bluefin tuna nigiri at the very end! Score!! I'm more of a nigiri person so I got half rolls and half nigiri. Of course this isn't like fancy restaurant sushi, but more of like casual dining sushi and bc there were so many people, it was fresh bc it was a high turnover. Sushi quality was decent. Reminded me of just like an AYCE sushi quality. You won't get sick, but don't expect Jiro Dream of Sushi quality here. lol. The other time we went was during dinner of 1 hour before they close, the selection wasn't as good as they didn't have bluefin tuna nigiri, but still worth it and didn't cost us an arm and leg to get sushi. I hope someone catches this concept in San Diego! It's so clever. Love it and would love to come back again.

They don't take phone calls or reservations online - very old school. Which I think makes it more desirable. We ended up getting a special room with a "chabudai" style table! I was super excited because I've never experienced it before. What I did find pleasant was that although it was a lower table, there was an opening beneath the table that allowed your legs to hang rather than having to sit Indian style. Tyson was an amazing server. Was attentive, accommodated our allergies and was thoughtful with us having a young child. He was so pleasant and polite! We enjoyed the following: Baked miso glazed eggplant - YUM and melts in your mouth. Black Miso Cod Collar - this was pleasantly surprising and so delicious. Eat bite was tender and flavorful. Simple yet so appetizing. Sushi rolls were both fresh and well prepared. The nigiri was also great and fresh- not fishy. We additionally ordered takoyaki - which I normally don't love but this one was very tasty and I enjoyed the texture. Lastly karage chicken which came with a creamy slaw. Overall it was such a pleasant experience and we look forward to coming back!
