They do a good job and are relatively quick. The cost for the oil change is more than if you shopped around. They do have deals you can buy where you can lower the cost. Given the convenience that you don't have to get out of your car, I tend to use Oil Changers only if there is no line. read more

I wanted to like this place. The staff were great. Service was quick. Didn't try to upsale me. However... when i drove away and was almost to my next destination... I heard metal dragging... my oil guard apparently had come loose. I'm not sure exactly how give that it has screws instead of plastic clips. Unfortunately I'm not normally in this area and did not have time to return to have them fix it. I'll be taking my car to the dealership to have them fix the oil guard damage (fingers crossed it's not going to be crazy expensive). read more

This place used to be the best oil changers and we would recommend it to everyone we knew. The quality has dropped especially since the best workers have left. The quality of service is terrible now. My husband brought his books wagon here and they actually broke a piece off of the car and they have still refused to fix it or replace the part. I had a oil change recently and the filter was not even changed. They used to fill the wiper fluid and used to check my tire pressure. Just went here to get my oil changed and also have them look at my oil filter leak that they MAY have caused. After waiting 25 minutes, I pulled into the bay and was told that they didn't have my oil in stock and to come back next week. I asked the attendant to at least look at the oil leak that had developed around the filter. He touched the filter for one second and told me that it was tight so that wasn't the problem. Since you can clearly see oil leaking in the vicinity of the filter, he should have looked more closely to see if it possibly been improperly installed (cross threaded, etc). I was there for 30 minutes and left with nothing accomplished. I will not be going back there. read more

Pulled in here at 5:00 pm, I was third in line and they close at 6, I was certain that at some point after waiting in line for 45 min that I would be told sorry, were closed now. Boy, was I wrong. Lemme tell you what happened instead. Within 15 min I was being directed to pull into the bay. I was greeted by Raphael, an exceptional professional. In a matter of minutes he gathered all my information and had the oil change underway. After a quick check up he noted I needed an air filter, which I was planning on doing myself but their price with service was incredible. Too good to pass up. In addition to a ridiculously efficient oil change and a few jokes shared, the total price out the door for a synthetic blend and a new air filter was approximately $85. So after my last review I thought I would give them another try! There was a guy their from Corporate that was doing training and the service I was given was exceptional! I was impressed. My Z was well taken care.. So the next week I decided to bring our GMC pickup in. The tech asked me to open my hood before he talked to me about getting my mileage and what I wanted which I thought was strange. When he finally came to talk to me I said I wanted an oil change and an air filter. Another guy came up for the mileage. About 20 minutes later I'm wondering why no one is working on my truck and 3 people are working on the 2nd car that's come through the bay next to me. So I wait and wait....I started to get really annoyed. Finally one of those guys came to me and said he would check the blinkers and brake lights. Another guy hands me my sticker that show the mileage SO OFF...(My actual mileage was 102,373. The sticker said 266,167) so they fixed that in the system and then hands me my bill...I said where is the air filter? He yells to someone down below about where my air filter is and the voice says "We don't do that". I said well thats weird cause I've had my air filter changed here many times before...so the guy told the voice below "she's had it done here before"....nothing. After paying my invoice they want me to pull out?? What about the service light that's on? Whatever happened to checking my tires and cleaning the windows?? Clearly the service was so good the last time because BIG Daddy was there watching over the kids but when BIG Daddy is gone the kids don't give a crap. I would definitely avoid this Oil Changers location. I don't know what's going on with this team but don't be fooled by the high reviews. Yesterday I called them at around 11 AM asking if they had time for an oil change, the guy said they closed at 2 PM (they close 5PM on Sundays based on their schedule) and seemed like he didn't want anybody coming in the shop, I told him the 2 PM close wasn't a problem because I was swinging by in ten minutes for an oil change. Anyways, I show up and get my oil changed while getting a sandwich next door. When I get my car back, the passenger seat was soaked with rain like they had just left the passenger door open and when I was driving back home, it smelled like oil. Strange, but when I got home I just wiped everything down and didn't think about it. The next day I was driving out to Marin County for a work appointment when my engine started to stall on the highway. Progressively it got worse and my car was struggling to even run. I had to pull over to a gas station and call this shop, and they directed me to another Oil Changers in Berkeley at San Pablo Ave. The technician there, Alton, really helped me out and went above and beyond the call of service to fix everything. It turned out that my engine oil was bone dry, and if I had kept going my engine would've been ruined. Thankfully I got the issue resolved in Berkeley, even though my work schedule was ruined for the day and it made me look like a flake, but it could've been a lot worse. I wish I read some of the negative reviews about the Concord location before going there. Something is weird going on there. They charged me a lot of money for a synthetic oil change and left my engine oil empty. Unbelievable. Never happened to me before and never will again cuz I won't ever go back to that Clayton Rd. location! read more

Alberto has always been amazing when my wife and I come in. He really takes every detail into consideration and makes sure everything is done exactly right. He helped her with an oil change, coolant swap and even filled up the washer fluid. He's done my 84 Supra multiple times and is always extra careful and gets the job done in a timely manner. He did the oil flush, fill and add extended life for my older engine, he did the transmission flush and fill and even did the different differential refill. I went here for an oil change a few days ago. I love that you don't have to get out of your car at this location. You also don't need an appointment. I dropped in on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all. The technician was really friendly and polite. In addition to the oil change, they checked my tire pressure, checked my lights and sparkplugs, filled my windshield wiper fluid, and cleaned my windshield. Not sure if this is standard anywhere else but it sure was nice! They were also very quick. I didn't time it but I'm sure I wasn't there for more than 30 minutes. read more

They're extremely slow and appear to not know what they're doing and I'm trapped because there are cars beside me and behind me. Just moved back to area from Hayward and needed an oil change so I looked up the closest location because they are who I used in Hayward and I liked them. Unfortunately, this location is a complete rip off in comparison. They didn't do ANY of the "full service " things that you're paying for. At the Hayward location they checked and filled the tires, washed the windows, topped off fluids like windshield washer and everything.... this location... NOTHING. The worst part is that they weren't even busy... when I got there one guy was sitting around and another was in the crapper. I was the only vehicle there. I drove past a dozen other places that were closer out of brand loyalty... so much for that. Looks like I need to find a new place to take my money. read more

Came in for an oil change and was lucky enough to get Paul's bin he was and say this without question was the best quick oil change technician I've every experienced. Management needs to do whatever they can to keep this guy because he every had his own shop it would be trouble for everyone. He checked everything and verified the oil levels and showed me the quality by dripping the oil on his glove. Ironically someone else pulled into at the same time and that person was in and out but not Paul he clearly cared, gave a tip about a future issue, and verified everything. He gets the five stars. However, after using them for my last two oil changes, I wouldn't say service or price point are compelling reasons to go here. I've used them out of convenience/location near my work, but could easily save $15-20 going to a different chain, and would appreciate more explanations from staff. "Full-Service" Oil Change (non-synthetic) = $55. Roughly the same price as going to a dealership. One guy did offer to wash my windows, so I'm thinking that's what made it "full-service." Otherwise, my feeling is that checking fluids/tire pressure/brake lights should be standard everywhere. Maybe it's not? Last two visits, staff gets people/cars in, and processes them out. Manager rattled off additional suggested maintenance items, but didn't explain what the maintenance service entails or why it is necessary - they simply ask "XYZ services are recommended services at this mileage...do you want those services?" I might have purchased if he just explained why the maintenance was necessary, what they were going to do, and let me ask how much it cost. However, it truly felt like an up-sell, so I declined. Overall, I would go back in a pinch but will be checking out other service providers next time. read more

Zero stars if I could. Had to bring the car back 30 minutes later because something wasn't done right. Oil was EVERYWHERE but my car! All over my driveway as well. Unacceptable to say the least. I'm taking the car to the dealership this week to make sure that everything is ok under the hood since I pretty much was running with ZERO oil. Never will I give my business to these guys. To charge $90, which is on par with what the dealer charges and make a mistake this massive is just unheard of. I had my car serviced at this location yesterday for the first time in preparation for a 700 mile trip today. A few miles into my trip I had to pull over because my plastic oil pan cover was falling off and dragging the ground. I went to the nearest mechanic who told me half of the screws and all of the clips are missing and my oil pan cover/belly pan is now damaged and warped to the point of needing to be replaced. They had to zip tie my pan to the car so I could continue on my way for the time being. I am extremely disappointed and will never return to this shop. Oil express on market st is where I have gone in the past and I will only go there from now on. They always make sure my car is safe and road ready. Oil changers only cares about making money, I would highly recommend avoiding this place if you care about your car and don't want to have to pay a different mechanic to go back and fix what they messed up. read more

It was oil change time and it was going to be several weeks before being able to get to my favorite spot, so let's stop in at a place nearby. Pulled up with one car in front of me a one already in the bay. An hour later I was able to roll into the bay. Seemed a long wait, but that's kinda the way of things these days. They started working in the under carriage and a guy up top looked under the hood. He pulled out the air filter and tried to bully me into getting a new one. It was mostly white with a medium dust spot in the middle. I shook my head no. He then brought me the oil dipper which was a little dirty, with acceptable viscosity, but he tried to bully me into getting the engine flushed. This vehicle has low mileage and his upselling tactics absurd. I shook my head no. Then when it came time to pay, "why is it $113?" "I can give you $10 off." "Ok why is it $103?" "Well your car requires a special oil..." At no time was I asked for oil options and that claim is not factual. I reluctantly handed dude my card. For which the fellow wandered around the 2 bays as the card processed in the machine he was carrying with him and then yells, "it's declined! You got money in there, huh? You got money in this card?" I nodded my head yes while dumb ass kept yelling if I had money on the card. Turns out the machine wanted a pin number. When I got the receipt, it stated the windshield got washed.... Guess what? Right, it didn't. Unable to recommend. Go somewhere else. Date of Service: 2/23/2023 noonish. read more
