AMAZING! My experience exceeded my expectations. I went for my birthday and they seated us in a beautifully private booth. The COVID table dividers ARENT the typical plexiglass, but they're opaque with beautiful designs, which adds to the beautiful atmosphere. Definitely a romantic restaurant. The food: I'm vegan and I went off my diet for this place which was WORTH IT! Get the waygu sliders... pay the $95 for the extra foie gras and truffles, you won't regret it. We got the crispy mango roll and the hamachi roll. Mango roll: great, very fruity and mostly mango-tasting. Great for people who are just getting used to sushi. Hamachi roll: with caviar and truffle on the top it's a bold-flavored roll. All I could taste was a fishy-oceany taste because of the caviar and fish atop the roll, but my boyfriend (who likes fish) enjoyed it and said it was a great roll. The salmon on fire: get it. Just get it. I've always strayed away from fish but seriously amazing. Beautiful display and greatly seasoned and charred to perfection. Lava cake: ugh must I describe it? Absolutely perfect. The espresso martini was amazing, same with the lychee! The buzzing bee drink was very strong and greatly tasted of honey. Having been here on two separate occasions, I would recommend this place to friends who want to enjoy a fresh sushi experience. I am pretty simple so I wanted to try a little bit of everything. A few of my favorite picks are the Foie Gras with truffle Sushi, the Uni Hokkaido Sashimi, Alligator roll, and there was a special one of the nights with Tartare Four way. The Foie Gras is amazing but you definitely should eat it right when it comes out. Melts in your mouth! Same with the Uni. Sad that they didn't have the Tartare four way during the second visit but that was so fresh as well. With Covid regulations, I made reservations via Open Table and the restaurant was great with checking in and running ahead of schedule. read more

Hands down my favorite restaurant in boston. The sushi and sashimi is very fresh, the service is amazing. and the not only is the presentation superb but so is the taste. Sushi: I usually get a few pieces of sushi and sashimi ala carte - salmon belly, baby yellowtail,tuna belly. i also recommend a toro truffle roll (recommend to hold the truffle oil as it can get a little salty). When you order otoro or uni sashimi, sometimes they sprinkle gold flakes on your order to spice up the presentation! Appetizers: If you're on a date and want a wow factor, the tuna tartare comes in a block of ice and the salmon on fire really puts on a show. to take it over the top, the wagyu hot stone will be a unique experience in itself. Meat: As for hot dishes/main courses, the teriyaki steak has a generous portion when compared to most japanese dish sizes. its very tender and full of flavor. If you want to splurge, I'd recommend the A5 wagyu to share - eating one alone is possible but the meat is super rich and you may get tired of it after a few bites. Arriving Oishii Boston in the pouring rain, all wet and hungry. Oishii does have lunch specials for $20/$30 or you can also order from the a la carte menu. Great presentation of food like a bento box style. After sharing the 2 different Kaiseki Lunch Specials, I definitely suggest to go for the $30 one as it has sashimi, lobster risotto which worth that extra $10. Overall the food are quite tasty and the experience is enjoyable. Didn't really Wow me but at that price point it is quite good. Service is topnotch. Our server is cheerful and attentive. We loved the food, enjoyed the ambiance, and found the staff extremely kind. The salmon on fire was delicious and so was the tuna roll. I also want to mention a few of the amazing staff personnel: Luke (the host) was so kind and extremely accommodating in seating us. Super friendly! Chihiro was our waitress, and she answered all the questions we had with great expertise. We also spoke to the manager, Nick, and he answered all our questions and actually taught us something new! Went Oishii Boston for my birthday and truly had an amazing experience! There was not one thing on the menu that we did not like. Started off with the pan seared pork gyoza and those came out piping hot and delicious. I got the lychee martini which was refreshing and sweet. The Wagyu Steak cut like butter and the truffle sauce was light and airy. The sushi was fresh and well made. The only reason I am giving Oishii Boston 4 stars instead of 5 was because the service could have been better, our server could have a bit more attentive. Oishii is probably one of my friend's and my favorite Japanese restaurants in Boston. We pretty much ordered more than half of their menu already. Great reviews on most, however, there's a few DON'T EVER ORDER: 5 stars - most sushis and makis: Just almost impossible to go wrong. The combination of makis is awesome, and bana uni is a must every time - A5 steak: slightly pricey but definitely something worth trying at least once - uni pasta: if you love uni and truffle then don't ever miss it 4 stars - most hot appetizers: we tried wagyu beef, salmon, etc. they never disappoint and very instagram worthy. But some seem slightly overpriced with the portion size - teriyaki ribeye: on the less pricey end on their menu, but def still awesome - chef's choice sashimi platter: just because I'm not a fan of half of the type of fishes they served - Ting's companion cocktail: very light and refreshing - desserts: red bean creme brûlée, iced melon, molten chocolate cake 3 stars - desserts : Mochi ice cream. Good but not a must 1 star - green salad $10: meh lol. Incredibly expensive but worth at least... one trip. We got a handful of dishes, ranging from the coconut sphere for desert, some sashimi and some of the maki. The pork belly was probably some of the most fatty pork belly I've ever had, but wow it was amazing. I'd highly recommend if you're a fan of pork belly. The coconut sphere was fantastic, I was hesitant to get it as we were both full, and I'm not a huge fan of deserts, but it was an explosion of flavor when you eat the entire piece in one bite. I *highly* recommend ordering this dish, and saving just a little bit of room for it. The service was decent, they didn't come by quite as often as I would like but they were polite and responsive when we did need things. One dish I was pleasantly surprised by was the wagyu beef maki. I've only had beef on a roll once and it tasted exactly like I thought it would. This dish, however, was different and incredible. I almost ordered it twice. I think the combination of a high quality meat, plus the other garnishes that they add in actually make it taste like more of a rice/meat dish than a sushi roll. Tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday and it did not disappoint. When you first walk in it looks like a regular restaurant but once you go inside it has a chic and serene vibe. We had a table downstairs and it was like a private dining experience. Lots of privacy and not too crowded. The service was amazing and so was the food. Food came out quickly after our orders were taken which we loved. I got the Salmon on Fire, Beef Tartare, and the Shrimp Explosion maki. It is a little pricey but the quality of the food makes up for it. My favorite was the Wagyu Beef Tartare. This is a must try. I will definitely be coming back to try more things. What an experience -- Oishii Boston certainly stands out not only from its peers but also its sibling extension in Chestnut Hill. You go here for a special date, celebration, or... I guess on the regular because you're just a baller and that's how you roll? The atmosphere is the first thing that grabs your attention -- very chichi interior with water effects, smooth architecture lines, and quite secluded interior feel. Modern and japanese, it certainly makes a statement. The food -- Just wow. You don't come here for inexpensive sushi, you come here for fabulous sushi and japanese dishes that are remarkable and memorable, even. The presentation is meticulous and inventive. The "Oos" and "Ahhs" are certainly felt with most dishes and presentations but most intense when ordering the flaming or flame-inclusive appetizers. I highly recommend them. The sushi is straight out of the ocean fresh, perfect room temperature, and I love the touch of "Chef recommendation of the day" icon next to the sushi/sashimi selection sheet to steer you towards the freshest and most choice fish daily. The daily lunch specials are the best deals you'll find -- for $20-30, you get plenty of food. Our group of 4 made the mistake of ordering a few extra makis and appetizers and then had to force ourselves to each the rest of the beautiful food -- can't let money and beautiful works of art like that go wasted! Besides the Japanese maki/bento lunch options, don't miss the Pork Belly Ramen bowl -- it was the most rich broth this side of Vancouver. Yowza! I was practically licking the bowl. I won't belabor the beauty of all the different rolls -- you can't go wrong. Really. The only thing preventing this from being a 5 star review is the service (wish I could give it a 4.5 stars). It was very attentive and great at first -- but for this atmosphere and price, expectations are high and it shouldn't slack off. They had a bit of a lunch rush and our server was MIA for quite a while. We literally had to flag down and almost beg other waiters to check on our dessert (25 minutes for ice cream?! I know you weren't churning it!... Or were you?) and then another 25 minutes to get someone to take our check. Please don't make me beg you to take my money. Oishii has been one of my favorite Japanese (well, modern Japanese to be precise) restaurants in the Boston area for more than 5 years now. You can find both high quality "traditional" nigiri/sashimi and fancy makis as well as a variety of Asian-fusion appetizers/small plates - there's something for everyone! My absolute favorite dish at Oishii is the O-toro truffle risotto. For some reason, the dish is no longer listed on the official menu. However, when I asked for it during my most recent visit, the waitress gladly checked with the kitchen and was able to have it made for us! We had to order 2 orders of it - it's that good (although pricey at $35 per dish). It comes with 3 thick slices of fatty tuna (just melts in your mouth) topped with a generous amount of truffle and gold flakes, served with mushroom risotto on the side. The mixture of texture and flavor was so heavenly (even just to think about it!!). I would also recommend the Lobster dumplings (they are fried dumplings filled with chunks of lobsters and cream cheese, served with a plum/soy dipping sauce), as well as the Uni pasta topped with a poached duck egg (the texture of the pasta is very unique). Oh, and don't forget to get the Green Tea Layer Cake for dessert (it's like Lady M crepe cakes, but I personally think it's better)!! I always prefer to sit at the sushi counter as I'm so fascinated and amazed at how the chefs turn simple ingredients into delicious dishes that are also beautifully presented! Wagyu is always good so no complaints here. For entrees: -Squid Ink Noodles: I didn't know what to expect but it was really good. Love the 24K gold flakes on top, felt like a boss eating it. -Japanese A5 Steak: Again wagyu is always good! I would order this again. For Speciality Maki & sushi: -Waygu Beef: loved this! -Toro Truffle: so good -Foie Gras: amazing Side note: We ordered more sushi but I just dont remember what we got. For Dessert: -Molten chocolate cake: This was really good and I'm not really a fan of chocolate desserts. -Crepe cake: similar to Lady M crepe cake but it's their take on it. OMG it was so good, I especially loved the raisins that go with it! Would get this again. -Coconut Sphere with Coffee Mousse and Yuzu Sherbet: The presentation was on point and it was fun to break. I came back here because I wanted to try out new dishes. I spent over $200 for 2 people, and had a disappointing experience, which is shocking for a place like Oishii. We arrived at 730pm for our dinner, and were seated right away. By 745pm, we had ordered all our food and drinks. Well... most of our food arrived not too long after we had ordered. But then... the long wait began. From around 815pm to 9pm, we waited and waited, very patiently for our uni pasta and spicy tuna tempura sushi to arrive. The uni pasta came at 9pm, the sushi came around 915pm. I don't understand why it took almost an hour and a half for our food to arrive. There was a table next to us that had arrived at the same time. They finished their entire meal; and even ordered desert, paid the bill, before we got our last 2 dishes. There was also no explanation of why the food was taking so long. It would have been nice to know what was going on. Sometimes restaurants will give you a free side dish while you are waiting as an apology. We got nothing. I was very annoyed and almost cancelled the last 2 dishes. There was no ETA of when the dishes would come, and I don't have all night to sit and wait. The food was delicious, but everything else was just so wrong. I was wondering if we would have a dish comped as an apology. Nope, nothing. I am not looking for free food or discounts, all I want is some sign of apology or explanation but we got nothing. Instead we paid over $200 to wait almost an hour and half for our food. Nothing was done to make the wait less painful which is surprisingly from a restaurant of such high caliber. Came in for dinner one evening, ready to be amazed, and ready to spend a quite bit of money for the most amazing sushi ever. I left devastated, hungry, and with a sizable hole in my wallet that didn't get filled with food as I was hoping. The food was in and of itself great! Let's start with the Salmon on Fire - As one of my friends said, with this one presentation is on point. The salmon itself was marinaded and seasoned perfectly. Although the salmon is raw, and the flame does not cook it, the fire adds a tiny bit of warmth to the outside, and transforms the flavor of the spices, some of which get more heat, and others less. My first problem with this, however, is when they bring it to you, it's already on fire... they say 10-15 seconds before blowing it out, but it can varry depending on where you sit... would be better and cooler if they lit tr fire in front of you. My real problem is price. If you forget the "show", you are realistically paying $7.50 per piece of salmon... it doesn't seem like a reasonable price...I've also seen the same taste imparted elsewhere with a blowtorch. May not look as cool, but incurs less cost. Miso soup was A-OK, but also overpriced. It was a small cup of soup, which was pleasantly sour and salty, but short of a couple pieces of tofu, it seemed more of a beverage than a soup. With this, $4 for a small cup of something that is 98% water also seems excessive. Tuna Tataki was a special that night, and this dish I found among the betters ones value-wise. The tuna was seasoned ever so perfectly, with a wonderfully-dressed, cute little side salad... although, I am a stickler for not having large pieces of something in my salad. I eat out so my meal is prepared, and needs no input from me (other than to be eaten). For Maki, we ordered King Salmon, White Tiger, Wagyu Beef, and "The Maki" (with toro). Based on quality alone, this was among the best Maki I've eaten. Everything was in balance, especially the various seasonings. I could tell that everything in these had a certain function, flavor-wise, as opposed to only making it look pretty. "The Maki" was my favorite, this one had the best combination of flavors for my taste. A little saltiness, sweetness, spiciness, and savory-ness! The fish and rice were of the highest quality, as was the wagyu beef! This stuff was so tender; it was among the thing that literally melt in your mouth. The maki too was on the expensive side, but considering the quality I got, the value wasn't terrible. I had the Far East Side for a drink. While I enjoyed the pleasant sweetness, and the touch of a flower of some kind, I found it a little weak for my taste. The service was quick, but a little disorganized. There were three of us, but we were brought two things with ginger and wasabi... asked for another one, were brought two more. With throes little edamame mousse things, the first time they brought three, only two the second. Also, they do provide you with little plates to eat appetizers and such on... but to have them changed at least a couple times would be good. Call me a spoiled brat, but at these prices, remnants of meals pasts shouldn't mess with meals present or future. The edamame mousse was a great, refreshing, gently spicy palate cleanser by the way, only the spoons were a bit too wide! Location is interesting, I ate in what I can only call a luxurious corridor. It was lit a little too dimly, and had no windows. I get that more intimate setting have less light, but I want to be able to properly see my food! Overall, three of us had an appetizer sized amount of food, which with two drinks and tax came to $180. We all left still hungry, and went to complete our meals somewhere else. read more

Recently came here for a birthday dinner. First impression was good--table was ready and the service was prompt. They were also very accommodating to our requests. We did bring a cake and they charged $5 per person for the cutting and serving, but we were more than OK with that. There was like 7 of us so we ordered a lot of food and a bottle of sake to share. The yuzu sake is absolutely delicious and I am now on the hunt for my own bottle. Totally recommend if you are starting off with sakes and/or like sweet and refreshing ones. They do have an extensive sake and drink menu, something I could not find online so I was looking forward to seeing it in person. Was not disappointed at all. As for food, I ordered the squid ink noodles and three pieces of nigiri from the a la carte menu. First of all, I did not expect to see gold flakes on the noodles. That made it extra fancy and very 'grammable. The noodles were very delicious, said the other three people that took a few bites. I also got to try others' entrees, like the Chilean sea bass and the uni pasta. YUM. The sushi was pretty good, albeit on the pricey side. I went to the original Oishii in Chestnut Hill, MA many years back and when I heard they opened a second location in Boston, I have had this restaurant in mind for a special occasion for a very long time. It surprised me that my husband remembered and took me here for a birthday celebration. What I had forgotten was to warn him about the water. When the waitress greeted us asked if we would like ice water or sparkling water, I quickly answered ice water. My husband, not knowing, went for the sparkling water. Sparkling water will set you back $7.00. You've been educated. You're welcome. But I think the free appetizers, a light avocado mousse served in a shot glass and eaten with a small dainty wooden spoon set things right again. From the cold appetizer menu, we tried the Toro tartare with caviar. It was served in a bed of ice and eaten also with a small wooden spoon. It had a very light citrus and refreshing taste. We also tried the Salmon on Fire which I highly recommend for its beautifully presented strips of salmon filet that are draped over lemon grass and covered in small colorful flowers. The waitress lit up the coffee beans under the salmon and we were told to let it cook for 15 seconds before blowing it out. Tasted amazing as it looked. The wagyu beef cooked on a hot stone was disappointing. I love the presentation and being able to have an interactive meal where I can cook my own food. However, the fact that the slices of meat were chewy, and it was not just one of the piece, it was all of them, I was highly disappointed. I was very unforgiving. My rant on it lasted all night until dessert came. For entree, we each had a different pasta dish. I tried the uni pasta, which was spaghetti noodles with uni, shaved truffles, and a poached egg to top it off. I love that you can really enjoy and taste the flavors of the uni and truffles in this dish. My husband had the squid ink noodles. I have to warn you that if you are on a date, I don't recommend eating this dish. My husband lips and teeth were black due to the squid ink and I couldn't stop laughing. All that was left to top it off was for the golden flakes to stick to his grill. The toro truffle maki is a beautiful and delicious roll that I would definitely order again. I can understand why it is so popular. It has shrimp tempura in the center, and topped with slices of seared toro and truffle. The truffles added a very rich and earthy taste to the maki. This is one for truffle lovers. For dessert, my husband and I shared a coconut sphere with coffee mousse and yuzu sherbert. Much larger than expected. You can taste the coconut the sphere is made of. Absolutely stunning presentation and a great way to end a spectacular meal. Overall, love the restaurant ambiance - minus the crazy couple we were seated next to. Luckily they were gone by our second appetizer. Our waitress was very attentive and made very good suggestions. If you're looking to indulge in sushi, definitely treat yourself out and go to Oishii! This upscale restaurant is super sleek and all of the dishes are jaw-droppingly gorgeous but equally delicious. It's the perfect place to take a date or to grab a group of friends together. You'll certainly impress or even if it's super awkward, the presentation will give you something to talk about. I originally was planning to order the Toro Truffle Maki but was drawn away by the variety of their lunch menu sets and opted for the Kaiseki 3 which seemed to be a really popular shareable amongst the other couples also having lunch. The way to go here is to do everything family style it seems. The Kaiseki 3 with its 9 small plates was more than enough for just me! I left feeling stuffed but I want to highlight my favorites from the set: - seared wild king salmon with ikura (ikura wasn't too salty and the salmon had a great nibble) - grilled miso black cod (super tender and sweet) - sake and rocky sushi (salmon was buttery and the eel paired well with the avocado) - spicy tuna salad cucumber handroll (refreshing and cucumber held everything together well) Can't wait to come back! read more

Oishii is an absolutely exquisite blending of great sushi and maki rolls with french ingredients and techniques. Starting with the Japanese Strawberries and King Salmon to cleanse the palate, then moving onto the foie gras and truffle nigiri (wow!), then feasting on a few maki rolls: - Toro Truffle Maki (Shrimp Tempura, Spicy Mayo, Cucumber, covered with Seared Toro, White Truffle, and Sturgeon Caviar on top) - Lobster Tempura Maki with chives and Sweet Mustard Sauce Wrapped with Daikon - Spicy Scallop Maki with Black Tobiko, Cucumber, Kaiwali, and Spicy Mayo Finishing it off with a black sesame bonbon for dessert. Also I have to mention that the sake is EXTREMELY reasonably priced for a sushi restaurant of this caliber. They definitely don't try to rip you off the way Chef Morimoto does. Kudos to Oishii. I will definitely come back here and walking in between 6-7 on a Friday is no problem for space. read more

The ongoing quest to find high quality sushi in Boston has been difficult since I moved here two years ago and today, Oishii made it that much easier =) My classmates and I came for a little post-Endocrine final lunch and simply put, this place redefines the term "lunch special." As I was looking at the menu, I was under the impression that I'd choose from one of the following: Fresh Lobster Wild Mushroom Risotto Seared Wild King Salmon Sweet Soy Crispy Rock Shrimp Lemon Aioli Oishii Crab Cake Spicy Tuna Salad Handroll Grilled Miso Black Cod Rocky Sushi Sake Sushi Maguro Sashimi Hamachi Sashimi Lo and behold, our lovely waitress clarified that the special includes all the above. Oh. Em. Gee. The presentation was great and everything was excellent, especially the sushi & sashimi items. I can say without hesitation that they're up there with the likes of Morimoto Napa, Uni Sashimi Bar, etc. Sweet Yuzu tea and cookies at the end of our meal rounded things out with the perfect finish. My one minor gripe is, not surprisingly, the price. The lunch specials are an amazing deal for the quality and amount (I was stuffed by the end!), but ordering a la carte is just a tad shy of costing an arm and a leg. To give you some idea, it was the first time I've ever seen 10 pieces of sushi cost $65. But hey, go for it if you have the means as the quality is clearly evident. The male host was horrendous and rude - truly. We were a party of 5 with a woman 8 months pregnant and a handicapped woman in addition to two men over 6 foot. He sat us at a very small table and we requested a larger table (at 645 on a Tuesday when it was DEAD) his response "we seat 6 people at this table, it is fine for you" hearing that we all decided to just make the best of it and sit down. The three sharing the booth had jackets so one person set his jacket on the back of the booth to make room and was promptly told to take down his jacket and put it in his lap. We told him it was just too tight and he said "great" and left. Unbelievable for a high end restaurant and for the opening ceremony of what should have been a wonderful meal! With all the choices in Boston we expect much better. Thankfully we spoke to our waitress (Maggie) who was a GOD SEND and saved the night. She promptly, politely and kindly move us downstairs (where it was nearly empty) to a proper table for 5. More to come... The Chef Ting Yen popped in to apologize - perfectly charming and very appreciated - he checked on us a few times, shared stories of his family and sent out pork belly. He won us over in the end - thank you Chef. The food was very good, I would recommend "the maki" , toro tartare, hot stone, pork belly and dumplings - might no recommend the toro truffle roll as it seemed to be the only dish that lingered on the table. On drinks I'd recommend the Oiishi High Ball and probably pass on the cooper -- too small to really enjoy beyond the novelty of the dry ice(which melts quickly, pun intended) All in all - retrain or let the host move on to being an art or literary critic of some kind - but Chef and Maggie are absolutely worth it. read more

Been wanting to try this place for awhile, and we finally made it for lunch. Very nice ambiance with dim lighting and modern Japanese design. We ordered the Salmon on Fire as an appetizer. It's four strips of raw salmon over a wooden stand and comes to your table with a flame underneath it which you blow out after 10 seconds. Presentation is excellent, and the salmon itself was fresh and perfectly marinaded. For rolls, we ordered the Toro Truffle, Oishii Sashimi, and White Tiger. The Oishii Sashimi was my favorite- it's wrapped in cucumber instead of seaweed and was very refreshing. The Toro Truffle roll, however, was way too salty for my taste. This place is definitely on the pricier end, but with the excellent and attentive customer service, quality of the food, and the effort put into presentation, it's well worth the price. read more

Why they make the beat lamb chops ever!!! Literally go to this fancy sushi to eat meat. The sushi is amazing here, fresh and delicious, but their lamb chops are a heavenly tasty! One of my favorite sushi spots. The service is always fantastic. read more

This is one of the restaurants I wanted to try in Boston before moving out of this town! This restaurant is most ideal for a fancy date or a celebratory meal. I recommend reserving a table. We came here on a Friday evening and it was packed. The ambiance is chill and hip. The menu is pretty robust and there are some traditional Japanese food and some fusion food. We ordered shishito peppers, scallops crispy shiso, uni pasta, soft shell crab tempura, assorted sashimi, and matcha crepe cake for dessert. They have a good selection of drinks. We ordered sake to pair with our meal. Overall, each dish was unique and delicious. My least favorite item was the uni pasta. I did not taste the uni at all, and most restaurants will place a slab of uni on top of the pasta for decoration and to add more umami flavor to the dish. I would not have guessed it was uni pasta if I did a blind tasting test. I recommend ordering dessert! The matcha crepe cake was the perfect ending. You can order one and share it with 1-2 people. If you ever had Lady M cake, it is very similar to that. I would say this should be on the list of restaurants to try if you are visiting Boston or if you are a local! read more

Good service. Beautiful food. I am happy restaurants are reopening, and want to support them. But the 9-course set menu was just not right. It felt like just throwing extravagant ingredients without considering the balance of the dishes. For what it was worth, the $750 tab (for two people, one 500ml bottle of sake) seemed atrocious. It was all so fatty - 3/9 (!) were toro (fatty tuna), one of the dishes being on fried yuba (I think?). That is just too much toro. Another was a duo of uni (sea urchin), already so fatty and strong-flavored, mixed with other strong flavors, on a sweet bread/toast. And fried soft-shelled crab. By the third dish I couldn't eat most of what was served. I felt unwell that night. Everything was beautifully decorated, gold flakes galore, truffles, spices, herbs -- but sometimes, especially with Japanese food, I just want to taste simple, pure, fresh, delicious ingredients. I couldn't taste the actual fish in most of the dishes. The 9-course menu wasn't on the menu, but as it was my friend's birthday, and I saw reviews on Yelp about a $150 menu from a few years ago, we ordered it without asking for the price. I was a bit shocked when we got the bill - $250/person (plus drinks, etc.). I'm not complaining about the price, but it struck me that if you just pay $50-100 more you can dine and have a spiritual experience at Eleven Madison Park. Less extravagance and more simple, balanced dishes would have made this a much happier night, especially with the quiet space (with the tasteful social-distancing panels between tables) and friendly yet professional service. read more

Really great sushi place! First of all, service is wonderful. Our waiters were quite attentive and kept on refilling our waters while not being intrusive. I also liked the vibe--not too loud while still busy. Their crispy rice sushi appetizer is so good and I tried the Maki, which was honestly okay--expected something more unique for a flavor profile. The chocolate lava cake was also delicious, but quite expensive for $18. Overall good food, just don't know if the price justifies it completely. read more
