Got the octopus with mole and it was so good, nice char on the octopus, and the mole had this deep, smoky-sweet flavor that made me want to just eat it with a spoon. The tortilla soup was a standout with fresh broth and crunchy chicharrones. Ended things with the dulce de leche shake with dates which was creamy and not too sweet. Honestly everything just tasted fresh and made with care. Service was excellent. Ambiance is elevated and modern. Already thinking about what I'll order next time.

This is a new place over by the Trader Joe's I mentioned so it's easy to find as there's no sign. The sign is on their window so you have to look for it. They are still brand new so they didn't have everything on the menu, but I'm sure as they get more acclimated It will be really good. Our server Francisco was very very helpful in letting us know what they didn't have upfront and also making recommendations. The lavender martini was good a little sweet from the lavender syrup, but I tasted my husband's Michelada and I will have to say it was amazing if you like the Micheladas from Mexico mostly Cozumel area you get that dark Michelada mix this is exactly what it taste like so if you're looking for that, you have found it here. If not at least try it once it's delicious. The ambience is very beautiful, but I wasn't a fan of the chairs, but they're still comfy. They just seem a little casual for like outdoor outdoors. Great service they squeezed us in, since I didn't have a reservation. Our waiter was great and very personable. I did try some tacos on the menu that waiter Francisco (aka Pancho) recommended since my other item was sold out and I'll have to say very flavorful and did not disappoint. The aguachiles were OK not my favorite as I've had them better elsewhere. I just felt like the shrimp was a little slimy but I really like the fact that they put dragon fruit in there. I've never tasted it before until now, and when they bring you chips, they bring you banana chips as well! That was an awesome touch. I was eating everything. I definitely wanna come back and try a couple other things. Most important have a reservation, especially if you have a decent size party. They have some bar seating which I'm assuming is first come first serve and I would've sat there anyways. But make sure you have a reservation!

We were excited to try this new restaurant, but unfortunately left feeling completely underwhelmed. The problems started almost immediately. We arrived around 2:00 PM when the restaurant was only about 30% full and were seated right away. The menu itself was difficult to read because the font is so tiny that you'll practically need the magnifier on your phone just to make out the items. After being seated, we waited 30 minutes before our waitress took our order. Then another 40 minutes passed before any food arrived. When my meal finally came out, it wasn't even what I had ordered. I ordered the mahi entrée that comes with tortillas, but instead was served three fish tacos. My husband and I pointed directly to the item on the menu that I had ordered, yet our waitress insisted that the tacos were what I had requested. They weren't. She eventually agreed to have the kitchen prepare the correct dish. Another 30 minutes went by with no update while she continued attending to other tables. We finally flagged down another server, who apologized and brought us chips and salsa. Twenty more minutes passed, and my meal still hadn't arrived. At that point, we asked for the manager. Unfortunately, that only made things worse. He explained that the oven was broken and assured us my entrée would be out in "two minutes" because it was already being plated. Thirty minutes later, there was still no food. Instead, he brought us guacamole and chips, which felt more like an attempt to buy time than solve the problem. When my fish finally arrived, it was undercooked and poorly presented. The manager offered to have it remade, but by then we had completely lost confidence. After hours of waiting, repeated excuses, and multiple promises that turned out to be untrue, we were fed up and already full from all the chips and guacamole. This restaurant appears to have opened before it was truly ready to serve customers. The staff clearly needs more training, the menu should be reprinted with a readable font size, and the kitchen needs significant improvement in both food preparation and execution. To make matters worse, throughout this entire experience, the owners and their children appeared to be dining in the same customer dining area. While there's nothing wrong with family being present, it wasn't a great look to see management enjoying a meal while guests were dealing with excessive delays, incorrect orders, and a lack of communication. At that moment, the focus should have been on helping customers and supporting a struggling staff. We wanted to support a new local business, but this experience was disappointing from start to finish.

But you can park across the mall street and walk over, just be careful when crossing traffic. Inside the place is beautifully decorated with culture and colors. Enjoyed that about the place. We checked in and promptly got seated, our initial seating was next to a window, but also next to the waiter order entry computer. Between that and my friend sitting in a wicker chair that has seen better days because she was falling into it, we requested to be moved. Our next seating was better with standard seats, but definitely crowded all around between the tables and waiters squeezing thru, made you feel packed like sardines. I get they want more patrons, but it feels a bit suffocating having everyone so bunched up like that. So much so, that when the tables behind me requested their meal that comes with a fire presentation, I felt that on the back of my neck, I wondered, Am I having hot flashes? No, just the fire blazing closely behind me. Additionally, the noise level is loud where I could barely hear my friend across the table or the waiter talking to me, I had to ask to repeat what he said many times. Our waiter, Christian, was very friendly and attentive. Since it was our first time dining there, we had questions on some items since this wasn't TexMex nor Mexican food that I had tried. So much so that if you like grasshoppers, you can have them added to your guacamole or some other offerings. I wasn't feeling rebellious enough to have tried that, so we passed. As an FYI, chips and salsa are not complimentary, you have to order them as the Salsas & Tostadas, you're provided with 3 different salsas, each with its own spice level. The main thing for me is that our main meal lacked flavor/seasoning. I got the Enmoladas (Mole de Rancho) which were smoked chicken enchiladas. Served with a side of Swiss chard. They tasted fresh, but when it came to a punch of flavor, we got none. The chard was not specifically something I enjoyed nor finished eating. We requested salt, which we didn't want to do, but adding the salt to the Enmoladas helped bring some flavor. Saw they have a brunch offering and would like to return for that and try some of their other drinks.

This is an older building, but I'm not sure how long they have been here. In summary, I was not really impressed with my meal, but this is a super casual place and the prices are right. I started off with their house small frozen margarita. If you just need a basic one, this will do. It's nothing fancy. For comparison, their fresh margaritas start at $12 currently. Their salsa is served at room temp and you receive both a green and a red one. The red one was my fav. It was also the spicier of the two. I ordered their beef fajitas for one which is only $20. Let's see how it compared to my favorite in town which is much more expensive. Beef fajitas- these are your basic beef fajitas with store-bought tortillas. The sizzling skillet comes with 2 types of grilled onions, tomato, and grilled bell pepper slices. The beef is tender, I'll give them that, but the quality is low. You receive a lot of Pico de Gallo, not much guacamole, and an avg amount of rice and beans. The grilled onions were not grilled very long at all. I noticed a couple of the slices of beef were not cut against the grain, so they were a bit more chewy. Overall, service was average. They never asked me if I wanted a 2nd margarita until after I sat around for 10 mins and then even asked for the check. By then, its way too late to ask a customer if they want a 2nd drink, I guess that's how low key they are. At the end of the meal my glass of water was nearly empty too, but no server was to be found at the bar. In fact, they didn't really even man the bar most of the time with the 4 customers sitting there, including me.

Ordered friend shrimp and oysters with grits and fried okra. Loved the grits and fried okra but the fried shrimp seemed like it was frozen as the crust fell off when I picked it up. It was tasty and I ate it so it was Goode! Also, ordered an iced tea that was fresh and clean tasting so their equipment is well maintained. You can tell if any restaurants do not clean their dispensers as the tea tastes bitter or is milky looking. Why do I know this? You ask? Because my Dad was a coffee/tea delivery man and when I was a child he use to take me on Saturdays to run his route. We visited several Luby's Cafeteria's where he made sure the dispensers were clean and that they were making the tea properly. He showed me how he used the brushes to clean the tubes, dispenser handle and used special cleaning material on the inside. It makes a difference if your tea dispenser is clean... have I convinced you yet? Wow that was a rant! The bottom line is they have great iced tea!

We entered to a friendly staff who sat us immediately. The vibe is very modern with some Mexican influence. We were with another couple and I think they were under the impression that this would be Tex-Mex, but it is not. For drinks I got a Mezcalina, my wife got a normal margarita normally I don't love Mezcal, but was feeling adventurous and this drink did not disappoint, it exploded with flavor and was my favorite drink I have had here. The bar program might be the best of any restaurant in the area, as it should be since they have a speakeasy as well. In my previous trip they brought us complimentary chips and salsa, but the time they brought Mexican hummus and pita. I was initially disappointed, but this was one of the more unique complimentary dishes I have had, and loved it. For starters, we got the TOSTADA CHUTORO, which was a tostada with raw fish and caviar. There were two, and although smaller bites to share, the flavor once again really shined through. I would say this is similar to a ceviche dish with really fresh fish and bright flavors.

Food was good, but I'm not sure if I could consider anything spectacular enough to justify some of the prices. I decided on the Aguachile Wagyu, which was perfectly cooked and paired with charred herbs. Very enjoyable for a small high-protein meal. My friend ordered Tacos de Filete, which she said were, "okay." We also had a few drinks... They were heavy pours. My only complaint is that the tajin-salt rims were more for decoration (smeared across the side of the glass and not very hygienic) rather than for the palette. Worth mentioning: We were never offered any chips or salsa, although I've read reviews where other patrons enjoyed some before their meal. Our server was friendly, but a bit disconnected.... Maybe that was the biggest problem - - the experience was diminished due to lackluster service.
