My friend sent me a screenshot of this place from Instagram. Had a hectic week from work so decided to go afterwards today. I got the large bowl which consisted of 5 scoops of protein. I got half brown rice and half greens. Not much along the lines of greens and rice was minimal as well. I liked the option to mix your add-ons with your protein. I asked for the spicy crab and avocado on the side (avocado doesn't cost extra). Sauce I chose was spicy mayo and eel. Added all the toppings. I definitely like the taste of their poke. Tasted fresh. I think for the price it is good for the size. Most places I've been two considers 3 scoops of protein a large. My new go to when I'm in the area and craving poke. I plan on trying a sushirrito next time. Only worried about all the insides dropping out while I eat. read more

Oke Poke changed my family's mind about mainland poke! My husband and kids were all born and raised in Hawai'i and I lived there for 14yrs. When we moved to Concord last year we were immediately turned off by mainland poke. Luckily we came to Oke Poke for a Yelp Elite event and were impressed with the process, customer service and quality and freshness of their seafood. I should point out that my dad is a fisherman and I grew up on fresh seafood so I'm pretty snobby about my seafood. Yes, technically it's still mainland poke and I do not care for their spicy tuna but you can get less toppings and create a more traditional Hawaiian poke bowl. And their marinated squid (or is it octopus?) is tender and full of flavor! In an area that is saturated with poke spots, this is by far the best! First of all, let's talk about the fact that you can order a poke burrito here. That's not something you see every day, and it's very welcome. The wrapper is made of seaweed, and somehow this elevates a typical poke bowl to salty, crunchy nirvana. The fillings! So many fillings! And everything tastes fresh, never stale or like it's been sitting around for too long. Because I have allergies to gluten and soy, I need to be extra careful with the protein options at poke bars; on my first visit, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about what was safe for me to eat, and there were plenty of options that worked even with my dietary restrictions. My favorite burrito involves salmon, spicy mayo, mango, and avocado... absolutely delicious! Last but not least, the Dole Whip. This is not a drill. There is Dole Whip in Walnut Creek. Highly recommend one of my new favorite poke places. They have the biggest selection of bases for poke bowls that I have ever seen and allow you to either have the toppings mixed in or on top which I have never seen before at a poke place. I really enjoyed how they had the steps to build a poke bowl very clearly on the wall above where you order which makes it very approachable for people new to poke. They clearly had their system figured out because I walked in and saw a long line yet somehow still had my food within 5 minutes. They gave large portions of protein (and the fish was very fresh) and the ratio of base to topping was about 1 to 1. I try not to leave negative reviews but I was disappointed in the quality of our order, especially since it took 40min for it to be ready :( We noticed the mobile ordering was much slower than ordering in person, so I'd suggest ordering in person if you don't want to wait as long. -Sushi rice was somehow mushy and underdone at the same time -the sprouts used are not daikon sprouts, but instead regular bean sprouts (the kind that come with pho) and were pretty unpleasant. Passed by this Poke place a few times in downtown WC and finally got to try it last weekend. Definitely check it out if you love variety because their menu has a lot more options than the usual! *WAIT TIME- arrived about 5 minutes before 6:30 pm on a Saturday. Tbh we were a bit worried that there might be a long line since it seemed really busy at downtown WC that night, but no long wait at all. They also had a separate line for those picking up to-go orders, which helped in being more efficient and organized. *AMBIANCE- loved their Halloween themed decor! Nice and neat in there too. *QUALITY- quality seemed to be worth the price, but the quantity was a bit interesting because they seemed to have used the same container size for both medium and large- only difference was one had 3 proteins and the other had 5. This is my go-to poke place Ordering is simple, easy, and there are plenty of toppings, proteins, and sauces to choose from. The staff is nice and the place is kept really clean (appreciate the hand sanitizers on each table). I highly suggest trying the miso sauce and I would go as far as to say it's my favorite poke sauce ever. Miso sauce + salmon + cilantro + masago + sweet onion really creates a unique yet delicious flavor! The price might be kind of high for a medium bowl, but if you take into consideration the price of fish these days it's understandable. The fish tastes really fresh along with the other toppings, so I'm willing to justify the price. I'll keep coming back for more! read more

We stopped by because I was craving for some dole whip. I tried out the swirl which consisted of the Lime and pineapple flavors. There was no line so that was awesome and staff is friendly. There were plenty of fresh items on their menu so that was nice to see behind the counter as well. Options are always awesome. Price isn't too bad for the amount they gave me for my dole whip swirl. Staff was pretty organized when more customers entered into the restaurant. It isn't a huge place but space for seating was designed right. I understand that some places have been understaffed due to Covid. The tables and the floors might have been more neglected and not cleaned as customers finished eating. Other than that, everything else was nice. It's great to know that this restaurant stayed cool ... such as having great air conditioning because they serve poke ... raw fish. There were so many other poke places I have gone to that did not have air conditioning cool the restaurant so I appreciate that so much because I know that this restaurant has quality fish and ingredients. My go-to spot for poke in WC. There's a few spots in town, but once I tried Oke Poke, there was no reason to try the others. I've been here 3 times and never got around to writing a review. Here's the lowdown: For $13.95 (which is an insanely good deal) you get 5 proteins and unlimited toppings... I know AWESOME. I hate places that limit to my toppings. Not that I get a crazy amount of toppings, I just don't like to be limited :P And get this, they have great topping options! I love getting corn, pineapple, crab and avocado. Not many places offer a fruit option and I love pineapple or mangos in my poke bowls. They also don't count crab as a protein which I greatly appreciate bc I love crab in my bowls and hate to sacrifice one my proteins for it (other places count it as a protein). Yes, avocado is included. I'll say that again, avocado is included. Now on to proteins, 5 healthy fresh and delicious scoops. They are too kind. My roommate and I always get a large to share, it's perfect for 2 (girls that is). Sauce options and dry toppings are also great. Basically, just come here for your poke fix, you won't regret it. Wow! This place continues to make me happy!!!! The protein portions are generous. I don't even live near this location but with their curbside delivery I make it a point to order on the way to run errands and pop off the freeway, grab my bowl and go. The best part is not having to leave my pup in the car since the come to me. They have always been super efficient, polite, on time and extra tasty! As long as they keep doing curbside I will keep coming. If they end up dropping that service I will have to find creative ways to justify the crazy WC parking. I'm jealous of the folks that work and/or live downtown. I'd be there every week! read more

Review #135 - 2019 My son and I are always looking for the best poke spot & the one we normally frequent in Walnut Creek closes at 8 PM so we had to find another spot being that it was getting late. We showed up around 8 PM & there were a few customers dining in, but no one waiting in line so we made our way over to the front of the line. We decided to order 3 bowls to take home since we weren't in the mood to eat there. The process is little different here as they add the proteins last. I'm used to getting the proteins mixed in with the sauce first then add on the other stuff so I took a while to figure out if I wanted certain veggies mixed in or on top. A few customers came in while we were in the process of putting together our bowls so the two young men making our bowls got a little nervous so I tried my best to rush through our orders. The portions are pretty generous, but their sauces didn't seem as flavorful as other places that I've been to. I normally mix the spicy mayo with ponzu sauce, but they didn't have ponzu sauce & the young man told me that the house sauce is their version of the ponzu sauce so I went with that. At least the fishes seemed quite fresh even if the sauces weren't as flavorful as I'd like. We'll be back to try their other sauces to see if I can find a mix that I'll enjoy. read more

This is always my go-to poke place. Before covid, this place had the absolute best poke. Visited today and completely turned off. It's lunch time, not overly busy. Bathrooms are closed. 5 girls working the front and all doing take out orders. The portion size of the protein has gone down so much. My bowl was disappointing. First time here and the person with the nicely trimmed beard and Adias baseball cap was super nice. He would tell us ahead of putting food into our bowl about extra charges . No surprises. The food was excellent . Portion was great and the selections was great. A little noisy inside the place but that was expected. Lots of foot traffic's means the food is replenished frequently. Oke Poke used to have a special place in my heart as the freshest poke in Walnut Creek - yes, we have tried them all! We went here last night for two poke bowls. I only ordered salmon, my partner ordered salmon, tako and scallops. Both of us were very unimpressed with the freshness of the fish. So much so, that we decided that we're not going to eat here anymore. I was talking about my food at the dinner table and my son said the last time he went to Oke Poke, he got food poisoning and hasn't wanted poke since.This is really sad news to us because this was our favorite pokie place since they have the best sauces and you can get avocado for free which is an upcharge at every other poke place. This place has been my go to spot for 3 years, but the portion sizes have taken a huge turn down turn over the past several months. Veggie bowl in pic is taking up maybe half the size of the bowl, 75% of which is rice, for ~$12. Asked if I could have a few more scoops of each because I wasn't choosing many different veggies--I was incorrectly told by the line clerk that it was extra $1.25 per scoop (found out later thanks to the owner following up with me that the line clerk was not correct, and that the extra charge is only on edamame or avocado). I do appreciate the owner reaching out, but I still attest the portions have gotten smaller recently. read more
