Sevilla Restaurant & Tapas Bar never fails. The ambience is off the hook, and our bartender (Brian) knows exactly what it takes to keep customers coming back. The Chilean blueberry mojito is top-notch, and the espresso martini never disappoints. It's a great environment to be in on a Saturday or Sunday night lively, stylish, and full of energy. Just wish Sevilla were open Monday through Thursday too.

We had the most incredible dinner here at Olé Tapas Bar and Kitchen. Step inside an oasis of delight just off the streets of Long Beach. From their immersive ambiance to the live music, all of the visuals amplify the flavors of their phenomenal menu. We were welcomed by Kat who provided an exceptional dining experience, offering great recommendations and pairings. We shared their pan con tamate with prosciutto, croquetas de queso y jamon, and Brussels sprouts before a single sized order of their traditional paella, which was perfect for two. The mixed flavors and textures were all phenomenal, but that paella really was fantastic. Rich and flavorfully balanced by the lobster stock, the entire bite was something to be remembered. We can't wait to come back in for our next tapas night!

On my first night in Long Beach, and a rainy one at that, I had a reservation at Cafe Sevilla for 10 p.m. on a Thursday. I ended up arriving early, a little after 9 p.m. and was seated at the bar. It's good I did because I was informed that the kitchen closes down at 9:30. Crisis averted...though the restaurant should mention when making a reservation online that food is no longer available at a certain hour. I walked over from my Airbnb but noticed that they don't have a parking lot. Your best bet is street parking or a nearby parking garage. Ambiance (5/5): A beautiful restaurant inside. Romantic, nice ambiance, sophisticated...I was impressed wholeheartedly. The Spanish music playing in the background was a nice touch, too. They have live music on the weekends, so I didn't get to experience that but I would have liked to. They also own a night club right next to the restaurant. While I sat at the bar, they also have high tops in the bar area, tables, booths, and a small patio in front of the restaurant. Service (4/5): They charge a 3% transaction fee if you use a credit card. I'm never a fan of businesses trying to pass of merchant fees onto customers. It's a cost of business. If I would have had enough cash on me, that's what I would have done. Despite the policy, the bartender took good care of me. He was friendly and checked in to see how I was doing. A job well done, overall. They also have free WiFi which is always a nice touch. I was able to get some work done while I was chowing down. Drinks (4/5): Cafe Sevilla has a nice list of cocktails, beer, and wine. I couldn't help but go with a Spanish classic, sangria. They have a sangria royale, which I went with for an upcharge, that also has a liquer in it. To be honest, it tasted just like a regular sangria for me. No sweat though, it was a refreshing alcoholic beverage and a treat as I don't have sangria often. Food (4.5/5): I went with the jamon y manchego croquettes which were splendid. The presentation of every dish at Cafe Sevilla is well thought out and adds to the dining experience. Nestled on top of some red sauce, the four croquettes were fried just right and bursting with flavor and cheesy goodness inside. There was even a little pull factor with the cheese which we can always appreciate. Speaking of presentation, while I forget the exact name of the dish, I also ordered the sizzling platter of three different types of Spanish sausage. The platter is flambeed at your table with brandy and apple cider vinegar. Beyond the interactive presentation, each sausage was delicious. The brandy added a little sweetness to the sausage. Along with the small onions on the platter. Chef's kiss. The menu consists of a lot of tapas, plus paellas, and some entrees. Both of my dishes were tapas. While the portion sizes are not large, and it's not cheap, the quality is there. If you're trying to get some bang for your buck, come during happy hour every day of the week, where tapas are half off. They also have some paella discounts on Fridays and Saturdays, I believe. If I lived in Long Beach, I would definitely return! And if you've never had Spanish food before, check them out. It's a treat.

Absolutely incredible -- food, music & vibe all top-notch! From start to finish, our night at Cafe Sevilla was perfect. This place truly delivers an authentic Spanish dining and entertainment experience with amazing food, lively atmosphere, excellent service and unforgettable live music. We ordered the grilled beef and grilled lamb skewers with rice -- perfectly cooked, flavorful, and paired beautifully with their Spanish-style menu offerings. Their tapas-style approach makes everything fun to share and enjoy with friends or a date night crowd. But the highlight of the evening was the live band -- Projection Latin Music! They had the entire restaurant singing and dancing all night long, playing everything from Salsa to Merengue to Bachata and more. Their energy was infectious, and I was so impressed that I followed them on Instagram @ProjectionLatinMusic. The vibe here is unmatched -- part restaurant, part tapas bar, part nightclub -- with live Latin music and entertainment featured regularly. Whether you're coming for dinner, drinks, dancing, or all of the above, Cafe Sevilla knows how to deliver an unforgettable night. Highly recommended if you want excellent Spanish cuisine and a fantastic night out -- we'll definitely be back!

We first came here for a Private Party upstairs in Dec. of 2022. We were served a few different tapas & other dishes which were tasty. We enjoyed the Chorizo Empanada, Meatballs, Ceviche, Chicken, Short Ribs, & Paella. The food left a great impression on us and we wanted to come back to try their regular menu. We've passed by here a number of times, but never made it back. Tonight was the night we'd take the Journey Through Spain! We were seated promptly at a booth. The table didn't fit the curve of the booth seat and it was difficult to slide in. Our server was alright, not very attentive nor personable, but we did get all our food. We took a Journey Through Spain which is a 5-Course Dinner for Two. For the first and second course, you get to choose one item. Course 3 is set. Fourth course is the entrée and you each get to choose one dish. And lastly dessert, it is set. Sad to say that we did not enjoy most of the meal. We were served the first and second course almost simultaneously. Felt so rushed! For the second course we chose the Spanish Salchichas a la Plancha because they flambée the sausages tableside. I wasn't ready with my phone camera and the server didn't seem like she wanted to wait on me. My husband asked her to wait a sec. I got flustered and then missed most of the flambéeing. It is a show & experience, and the server should realize that! After we tasted the 3rd course, the Croquetas de Queso y Jamón, I asked hubby if we could just stop this dinner for two and pay for what we'd already gotten. I wasn't joking, but we pushed through. Journey Through Spain: 1st -Boquerones Filet - fish was very fishy 2nd - Spanish Salchichas a la Plancha - we didn't care for this 3rd - Croquetas de Queso y Jamón - I thought they were ok, but hubby didn't like them. The exterior had a nicely fried crispy texture. 4th - Braised Rioja Short Rib (Hubby's choice) - this was a good dish. Tender Short Rib meat. 4th - Salmón con Chorizo (my choice) - my Salmon was dried out. The very innermost center portion of the Salmon was very good and tender, but it was a small amount. It was overcooked. 5th - Basque Cheesecake - very mushy but tasted ok. Never had such a wet cheesecake. It wasn't really a Basque Cheesecake because there was no caramelized burnt top that is its' signature style. I got a Virgin Berry Mule. I loved the lavender hue of the mocktail! It consists of blueberry, strawberry, lime and ginger beer. The drink was very good although a tiny bit too sweet. Gotta say that the food was not up to par. We are not very picky eaters. We enjoy all sorts of ethnic foods. I dislike rating restaurants poorly, but sometimes it is warranted. 2-stars on Yelp means they "Could've been better" and I do concur.

    Red sangria

Loved our happy hour experience at Cafe Sevilla! Without a reservation at 530pm on a Saturday, we were seated at the bar by the friendly host who explained the dinner show would begin at 7. The dining room has tiered seating to allow good views. Reservations for tables for the dinner show were recommended. Our meal was quick and we didn't experience the music or dancing. But the $7 red sangria was delicious and husband enjoyed his draft Modelo while we nibbled on marinated olives and some olive loaf bread. I should mention all 26 tapas on the menu are half off for happy hour daily from open to 7pm. I found the prices to be a good value and the portions were acceptable for the price. Sort of rare these days! Husband ordered a beef empanada duo and the cheese croquettes ($8 and $7). I ordered the garlic shrimp and the grilled octopus. At $13.75, the pulpo romesco was our most expensive dish, and well worth every penny. Grilled octopus tentacle was tender and delicious! He ate the chick peas and I took the kale romesco. The empanadas and croquettes were a pretty standard preparation, acceptable if not special. BUT...the $8.50 garlic shrimp was a generous pile of garlicky heaven. I also ordered a $5.50 side of saffron rice, which was quite sticky, had a very dull flavor, and didn't get consumed. Our bartender recommended it over the squid ink rice, because the dark right is too salty in his opinion. Fair enough. Our trip to Spain was fast and fun, and we didn't have room for dessert. The only thing that felt strange about this meal was the card they gave me for a $25 return visit discount (valid even on happy hour they say) if i came back having written a review for them. We didn't get back for another meal there during our vacation but I would truly not have redeemed this offer because it felt like a review bribe. Stuffed full and very happy we waddled home with no leftovers. But bragged about the meal to our son who is currently studying abroad in Spain and has not yet eaten grilled octopus!

Come for the food and ignore the price. If I factored in the price, then maybe 4 stars (lol). But the fact that they have a no tipping policy, and the menu has reflected gratuity already... then 5 stars. I don't like the mental gymnastics with tipping culture and just want to see what I'm going to pay so this was great. The food was also very delicious and visually appealing. Plating was superb. The sangria was also delicious and photo-worthy! I would come back for the quality, no pricing BS, and ... weight loss lol.

Had a great time and good food. We had calamari, fresh bread, veggie kabobs, and paella. The veggie kabobs were undercooked and small. Bread and calamari were amazing! Paella was tasty. The mushroom and chicken paella was my favorite. But it was a lot for 4 people. Ambiance was great!

This restaurant is a longstanding one in DTLB, which is one of the few Spanish places in SoCal. They have branches in Costa Mesa and San Diego, which we haven't tried. It's only open on weekends. We went on a Friday evening with a reservation. The ambiance was excellent, we felt like we were transported to Spain. Service was very slow and the waiter hardly ever came to check up on us. I am giving 5 stars in spite of the poor service because of the ambiance and food. Live music started at 8 pm. We did a wine flight. For appetizers we had the Spanish Salchichas a la Plancha, which was excellent, flambeed tableside. We also tried the Queso Fundido with chorizo, which was good and the Patatas Bravas, which was very good. We had the family style Paella Valencia, which was excellent. We ended with flan, which was good. Consider watching the Flamenco show, if you want a special experience.

The venue has its own multi-story parking lot which is very easy to access, and only charges $15. We arrived thirty minutes before the show, and there was no line to enter the parking lot with many parking spaces available. After a very short walk across the garage and going up a one-story staircase (there is also an elevator), we were on the ground level with the theater. Unfortunately, you have to walk all the way around the large fountain area to reach the security checkpoint and entrance. There was no line and we passed through quickly. Luckily, after the show, you could walk directly to the garage without having to go around again. The theater seats around 3,000 people and has floor, loge, and balcony sections. It is very clean and has a modern feel. The main lobby is spacious and has high ceilings. There are bars on all levels, and some basic food items downstairs. There were also a few food and drink spots in front outside. The concert hall has very high ceilings and is also very modern. We sat on the floor in the second row. The seats were padded and comfortable, and the spacing between adjacent seats and between rows was good. The view of the performers was amazing. There was a large projection screen behind the stage, with various video playing throughout the show. There was some fog on the stage, and the lighting was good, but nothing exceptional. Sitting so close is great for pictures and videos, and you're oblivious to the other 2,900 people in the theater. It almost feels like you're getting a private performance. However, the sound can be hit or miss depending on the performers' preferences and venue's audio setup. The main speaker arrays here hang directly over the first few rows in front of the stage. For the opening band, we couldn't hear any of the guitars at all. Joe played almost completely through his on-stage amps only and the sound was perfect. Steve's mix was half through his amps and half through the main speaker arrays. We could hear his guitar, but not nearly as well as Joe's. It's not the venues fault, the sound is usually optimized for the majority of the theater, and the first few rows may suffer. The opening band was Animals As Leaders. I've seen them a few times over the years as an opener for Steve Vai. They are an instrumental guitar focused band with the unique characteristic that both guitarists use eight-string guitars which gives them a unique sound. Joe Satriani and Steve Vai started out the main show together. They are two of the greatest rock guitar legends to ever play. They played a few original songs together that they co-wrote, followed by both individual and joint performances of a dozen of their popular songs. Steve's unique three-neck Hydra guitar made an appearance. There was also an encore with cover versions of Rock and Roll and Born to be Wild. I've seen Joe 25 times and Steve seven times, and I'll continue to go to every show when they are in town. In between the opening band and the main show, we immediately went to use the ground level restrooms which are downstairs. The lines were already extremely long. On a whim, we went upstairs and the restrooms on both sides initially had very short lines. After only five minutes, the upstairs lines also started to get long. Go upstairs fast and you should have a much shorter wait. The show was great and I really liked the venue. It's modern, clean, and comfortable, with various amenities. The sound mix was a mixed bag sitting in front, but it wasn't the venue's fault. If you want the best chance of a good sound mix, don't sit up front. Parking was very convenient and very affordable. I would definitely come see a show here again. 4.5 stars rounded up to 5.

The thing that stood out was the nice courtyard decor of water fountains. The vibe radiated as the fountains were sparkling, giving the ambiance of a fresh cool entertainment settimg. The outside really looks cool at night because of the lighting structure. I have been here many times before. Experiencing both indoor and outdoor venue entertainment. Just to name a few.. Jokoy, air supply, 90s old school R&B funk jam , Franki Valli and the list goes on. Its not very big inside, in comparison to Crypto or the inglewood forum but it does its job. Stadium seating could use some work if they decide to remodel in the future. Its a clean place with great acoustics. The only negative thing I have to say is the sale of alcoholic beverages! The venue shuts down completely early. Like 9pmsh! Unacceptable for an entertainment venue. I recommend watching concerts or any type of events in this area. Plenty of parking in the parking structure and surrounding businesses nearby. Long Beach is beautiful.

During one drinking session, I think I heard Sonic Reducer three times; that adds an extra star. Before we get off track, let's get back to my opening line; when my life is in shambles, I come to V Room. It's fun, it has great music and things just don't feel as bad here. My last venture to ye olde V, my roommate broke up a fight in the girls room, my friends and I drunkenly sang along to Iggy Pop, and a hipster girl was hoisted out by the straps of her 90s era child's backpack. So, all things considered, my life may be in shambles, but at least I'm not brawling in the girls room. The drinks rule and the bartenders are the BEST.

Acts as if you're the issue for coming to have a drink at "A BAR" . Eye rolls whenever anything was asked for. Went to pay & when the " tip" wasn't up to her par , she made the comment under her breath " why even **** come out cheap f**k?" Why even be a bartender if you're not going to provide a service. You don't get a tip for being terrible at your job. That's not how this works. Management will probably read this & brush it off because she'll have a lame excuse like we were the problem or needy. Nope. She is the problem. Even the regulars mentioned they can't stand when she bartends because her attitude is so terrible. Fix your system please. Get better people.

False Advertising and Total Failure of a "Speakeasy"…read more This place should not call itself a speakeasy. According to their website, they are strict about dress code, reservations, and no large parties. None of that was enforced. People arrived wearing sports clothes, tennis shoes, and flip-flops, and a group of more than 10 people was allowed in. That group was loud, drunk, and screaming, completely destroying any speakeasy ambiance. We had a reservation booked one week in advance for 2 tables of six, yet by 8:30 pm, we were told no food was available, despite the bar being almost empty. The water was already on the table when we arrived and tasted strongly of chlorine, with no ice. The waitress was clearly new, untrained, and unprepared. She did not know the menu, didn't know how to take an order properly, and provided no guidance whatsoever. There was one bartender Ricardo, who took over an hour to prepare cocktails and showed no sense of urgency or care. The dramatic cocktail descriptions sounded impressive, but the drinks did not match the descriptions at all. Because of the delays, we were never even able to properly toast or celebrate our friend. The charcuterie board took forever and arrived with an absurd amount of cheese and only six pieces of bread. To make things worse, part of the food we ordered never arrived at all. The live jazz band advertised and promised never showed up. When asked, the staff responded with: "I don't know, they were supposed to be here. I don't have their phone number." That level of disorganization is unacceptable. At the end of the night, we were shocked to receive a check close to $600 for two tables, despite each person only having one cocktail and shared food. The bartender, Ricardo, approached us and said: "Well, sorry, we really tried tonight! It wasn't the best, but we tried." Honestly, that comment made the experience even more frustrating. I can't imagine how bad it would have been if they hadn't "tried."That statement perfectly summarizes the problem -- trying is not enough when everything fails. I would not recommend this place for a speakeasy experience. This is not a speakeasy. It's a poorly run bar hiding behind a concept it does not deliver. Do not recommend.

And since we first walked through the doors, we were in love. In love with the atmosphere, the perfectly pulled pints, the food (Dear God the Corned Beef Sandwich is a religious experience! ) and the characters of the staff. We've spent many occasions and life's moments here as well, From birthday dinners to at one time making it out Sunday Supper place to catch a traditional set and our dinner. The Sunday musicians are so good back in 2012 we hired a few to play at our engagement party, and brought a bit of the Auld Dub into our home. Today was no different, popped In for a family birthday celebration and stayed for a Sunday set. The music was fabulous the food amazing and the staff excellent! Ordered the usual: Curry Chips (cooked extra Well Done), and the best corned beef sandwich this side of the Atlantic! It's served perfectly on a crunchy swirled rye bread with an amazing apple jam of apples and caramelized onions. Just excellent! We also ordered an Irish Full Breakfast, which my soul craves every now and then! Basically you can't go wrong eating here.
