It took 3 weeks for us to get an appointment for some service work and we took it in this morning at our scheduled time and this afternoon we called to get a status update and our car hasn't even been looked at 6 hours later, so we are asking a relative to use his car as this is our only car and they have no loaners to offer. They could have told us this morning or prior to drop off they still had cars to service from last week and we could have made arrangements for another day. Horrible customer service. This was the first time for me having the oil changed on my car. I loved the scheduling option online. I was in and out in less than a hour.

I had to get rear brakes this time. The work was completed as requested and ahead of schedule. The only issue, if you want to call it that, was the length of time it took to retrieve the truck after I had paid. They were very busy and it took about 10 to 15 minutes. I didn't rate them down for that. It was just that one time. Always before, they have been quick. read more

Service department is horrible, dropped my car off this morning around 9am for an oil change, got bad information the day before about what they could do since I had a sensor click off and now it's 4pm and nobody here seems to be want to help, plenty of people standing around. Asked one guy worked there and he said who was your service advisor. I said no idea, he literally walked off. Went inside, they said you have to go outside. We have bought multiple new vehicles from Olathe Ford. The buying experiences has been great with no issues to note. Our problem comes with the service team! From getting recalls to simple oil changes this has been a terrible experience! We dropped our new explore off for an oil change at 0830 one morning and still had not heard from them by 1500 that afternoon. We arrived and they reported that our explore was now getting serviced. This has been a consistent trend with lack of communication and timely service. If we would have not bought the vehicle and service plan we would be seeking work elsewhere. read more

Oil change was done super quickly, said there was a leak but couldn't tell me where from. I was also given a car wash code to go use but when i pulled up, the car wash was closed. I absolutely love Olathe Ford. I have been using them for the last three years for service on my vehicle. They always deliver what they promise, and they understand time is money. I went in for an oil change and they told me there was a recall on my vehicle. They said they could fix it right then and there, but it would take three hours. I said that's fine but I have a hair appointment should I come back and do it another time? Instead they offered me their shuttle service and took me to my hair appointment. They came and pick me up as promised right when my color and haircut finished. Come to today when I took my car back because of another recall on a locking mechanism, and asked if they would drop me off at my dentist appointment and pick me back up. They of course graciously said they would and did just that. Now I have all my errands done and my car fixed. Very nice group of people. read more

I was reluctant to buy a Ford; however, the F150's look great, so I decided to buy a high end Roush model. The service In this dealership is awful. The first time I went, the porter hit another vehicle and damaged my bumper. The dealership repaired it at their body shop nearby at no cost. I shouldn't have returned, but I did since the dealership is conveniently nearby my home. Went last week for a minor repair covered by my warranty. When I picked up the car, I immediately noticed two scratches: one was buffed out by their auto body shop and the other on the rubber molding on the driver side window remains. Over the weekend, I noticed a small chip in the driver side window. How bad can you be? My $80,000 truck came out worse after being serviced at this dealership. I have a Lexus SUV and the service is outstanding at Hendrix Lexus in KS. I'm beginning to wonder if I made a mistake buying a Ford and not buying the cheaper Lexus GX suv. read more

For decades Olathe Ford had earned a reputation as a top notch Ford Dealer. Currently the new owner along with the new management are earning a reputation as one of the worst service experience's you can find in the mid-west! We purchased a new Lincoln SUV and it's been the worst experience ever. There has been nothing "effortless" in the ownership of this Lincoln. Olathe Ford is in trouble. The service personnel seem to have the demeanor "we're sorry" ! My bad experience is not a one off situation. The service has been bad or flawed in some way virtually every time. Crazy stuff that is just without any reasonable explanation or excuse. My grandfather would have summed the situation up by stating...."these folks can't hit their ass with both hands" or "I've been to three County Fair's and a Goat Roping and I ain't seen anything like this". If you are looking at a Ford or Lincoln or need service you would be well served to avoid Olathe Ford like the plague!! read more

We had our truck towed there after break down was told it was only a water pump that needed to be fixed. Go to pick up we were charged 2100$. At that point we found out they also had to do other work we were not in formed of. Took a closer look at bill we were charged twice for several parts that we only need one and we were over charged for labor. They gave back the money for parts but insisted the labor was correct but I can do math at it does not add up. I will never us this shop again they try to rip you off and get away with it. read more

I made an appointment on 6/28 at 1:40 PM for today. I then called 2 days ago to confirm. Go to drop off the car for service and told no appointment. After awhile, they agreed to look at my car. About 6.5 hrs later I called to check, was transferred to 4 different service advisers with only one seeing my car and transferring me to the "right" adviser. The right adviser tells me they haven't looked at my car as I did not have an appointment after putting me on hold for several minutes as he could not locate my car. At this point, I knew I'd rather drive with sketchy brakes than trust my car here. I HIGHLY recommend Michael Blanco in Sales. I rolled into the dealership with my teenage daughter's old car practically spraying parts. LOL!!! It was just before closing on July 3rd. Michael offered me a car to test drive thru the holiday. He wanted to make sure we were safe over July 4th. It also gave me a chance to really check out the Escape. I returned July 5th and wanted to evaluate a base model Escape new versus one certified used. He was so patient and helpful. In the end, we chose the right car for our needs. I was so impressed with Michael, I brought a friend who also bought a car from him that day! My overall experience was excellent. Recently I had our 2002 Thunderbird serviced at this dealership since we recently moved to the Olathe area. I had heard good things about their Service Department from a neighbor, so thought I would see for myself. The YELP reviews were pretty good too. I made a service appointment on line May 13 for May 20, to take the Thunderbird in for the 30k maintenance and to repair the driver side door lock. An automatic reply email confirming the appointment was received on May 13. And another email confirmation was received May 15 from Emily Hoffman. When I arrived on May 20, I was quickly greeted by Kurt Zahner, iPad in hand. However when I said I had an appointment, he could not located it, so all the information provided during the process of making the appointment was lost and I had to give the information again. Kurt said it was due to their poor infrastructure. I asked how long the service would take, and Kurt recommended that I leave the car. I asked about a shuttle service and sure enough you have one. Kurt took me to the receptionist who said a shuttle was available and the driver would be back shortly. After waiting a considerable amount of time (not sure how long but longer than expected) I was told the driver would be here momentarily. Again after waiting, I learned that the driver was indeed there, picked up one person, but left me. This however, was quickly remedied and another driver found. Before leaving to go back home, Kurt asked me to take a look at the tires on the T-Bird. He said they were wearing down close to the tread wear bars, plus the rubber was cracking due to age. These are the original tires. I told Kurt I would think about it. At about the expected time based on Kurt's estimate as to how long the service would take, he called to say the car was ready. When I arrived at the Service Department, Kurt was out and I was helped by another service adviser. He went through the process to check me out. I asked him about the tires and the cost. If Kurt thought the tires should be replaced, someone should have taken the positive approach by bringing it up at check-out and having the cost of those tires available. But I was the one that had to ask about the cost. Purchased the tires at C***** for $300 less. Also as a new customer, it was I who asked if you had a Loyalty Program, since I have been use to one at SM Ford. Again a missed opportunity to say we appreciate your business and want to make you aware of our Customer Loyalty Program. I was told that your dealership has such a program and I was taken inside to talk with someone about it. That person wasn't around. So the service adviser asked the lady who sits right inside the door if she knew about the program. She didn't, saying she hadn't been trained about it. So as a consolation prize, the service adviser told me that I would be automatically enrolled and so notified. I have received that notification. After checking out, the car was brought around promptly and I drove away. All seemed right with the world when it came to the car working as anticipated. However, that didn't last long because when we went on a road trip shortly thereafter, the AC began to act up, blowing warm air when the internal temperature was set to 70º in the Auto position. The AC did kick in later, but soon wasn't working as expected. After returning home, I looked at the Vehicle Report Card provided at check-out, and it said that the HVAC system and hoses/lines for leaks and/or damage were in the green zone. Was it really checked? And if that wasn't checked, what else wasn't checked? We took the T-Bird to another shop. They used a black light around the compressor and found that it was leaking. The fix was replacing the compressor, and now it works like expected. Maybe it went on the fritz after we left the dealership, but I'm skeptical and think it wasn't properly looked at during their routine check. Also when we were on the road trip, an email was received on May 28 asking us to take a survey about our service experience. However, since the survey was only available until May 30, a grand total of about 48 hours, I missed completing it. Evidently they don't want meaningful feedback. So my first impression of your service department left much to be desired and I don't think I can trust our T-Bird for future service. read more

Since I live over an hour away that was important. Then when I showed up I had about 2hrs o drive and complete deal. This is for the service department, so I cannot speak to the sales department but I will not be taking my business here. I called to make an appointment, because as most dealerships I assume a long wait for an oil change. Made the appointment and could be seen several days later. I arrived for my Monday at 1300 appointment. The guy wasn't the most polite and short, but ok maybe he was efficient. Then I was told it would be over an hour wait. An hour wait for an oil change that takes 15 minutes. Then I was told it takes that long because they need to rotate the tires and do an inspection. I then explained I asked for no inspection, and being the cars tires (stock from the factory) are bigger in the rear and smaller in the front, and directional I told him it would be impossible for him to rotate the tires. I was then told it would still be an hour. So I canceled the appointed I waited several days for and asked to speak with the manager. Service Manager was polite, but then again came the rotation of the tires and inspection speech. Which I again replied to the above. Then I was told it was because they would need to put the vehicle on the lift and be extra careful with my particular type of vehicle. Which is odd to me, how would he know the vehicle is hard to put on a lift and no idea the tires are not the same size and therefore cant be rotated? At this point I was told it was still an hour wait, so what point was the appointment for? Well so I didn't wait 4 hours in the quick lane, where I was told it would take 20 minutes per vehicle per lane. Well 2 vehicles where there so maybe it would have been quicker? Second why are you putting the car on the lift, risking damage for an oil change, and not over a bay? Response bays are only for the quick lane. In reality they most likely overbooked and would hope I would leave the vehicle. No mechanic worth anything takes an hour for an oil change, especially when you cant rotate the tires and no inspection was requested for the famous up sale. I agree with Tobi on Google, would give zero stars if I could. I would reach out to Ford Main if I thought it would make a difference, but I am the idiot that paid 60K for a car, and over the last 20 years 200k with Ford. That will teach me. They may be great at sells, who knows. But Service is part of the package here and it isn't a good one. Most likely this appointment was made, and they figured if they had time they would get to it when they could. Hence why I was asked 3 times if I was leaving the vehicle. I recently took my Fusion into the Olathe Ford dealer for a recall. I also had them do an inspection and oil change. 6 weeks later, I had oil puddles in my driveway. I took my car to trusted mechanic that I've used for years, and they said the gasket on the oil filter really damaged, and the gasket on the drip pan was totally gone. And the oil was dirty! I'm never taking my car there again for a recall, service work, and will certainly never buy a car there. read more

I ordered a truck online and drove over 3 hours to pick it up only to be told it had been sold. I then received a text from the salesman 2 days later that the truck was available. I made an appointment only to be told after 2 hours on the road that the truck was sold again.
