I've been here once before at an Elite Event in February and just love the place. An old church converted to a bar/restaurant. They've done a great job. Having been in Keansburg earlier, Old Glory was just around the corner. We sat at the bar and Nick the bartender warmly greeted us and told us we arrived just in time for happy hour. Cool. They have a bunch of taps but not a great deal of craft beers; at least my take on it. We arrived during a fairly boisterous bingo session which they have from time to time. We decided on two appys; the loaded meatballs and the buffalo wings. I don't think the wings were fried but baked. The sauce was great and packed some zing. The meatballs were good but thought there was too much of a certain spice in it; maybe tarragon? Still worth getting. The pizzas looked good and for next time I'll have my eye on the clam pie. Al fresco dining available as well as eating up on the loft where you'll find another bar. I recommend checking out Old Glory. read more

We can in with our service animal and we're questioned about her papers. We offered to show her papers and instead the man pressured " you don't need to show them, just tell me what it does " Which no business entity is allowed to ask. We walked out because there is no reason to give money to a business that treats any customer like a liar. For the business owners: I'd encourage your staff to be familiar with what kinds of questions they can ask in situations like this. You can legally ask if the animal is a service dog animal required because of a disability. However, since certification isn't necessary for an animal to be a service animal, papers cannot be a condition for allowing the animal in. And in case you were wondering, disabled people are not required to carry documentation of their medical conditions or disabilities. So although it is legal to ask for service dog papers, it really doesn't matter. Refusing to allow access to a service animal can be an expensive mistake. Parkchester South Condominium, Inc, owner of a condo complex in New York City, had its security guard issue a 30 year resident a citation for owning a service dog, violating the ADA. In a settlement agreement, Parkchester paid the tenant $15,000 for emotional distress, the city $81,250 in penalties for willful violations of the NYC Human Rights Law, and a penalty of $10,000 for breaching a prior settlement agreement for a similar case. read more

We stopped in here during a weekday for lunch and were definitely satisfied! We had excellent service from the door to our table. I had the lunch time special crab cake burger that was so fresh and quality. I really enjoyed it. My companion had a burger loaded with onion rings, bacon, and barbecue sauce - it looked great and he gave it 5 stars! The atmosphere was very rustic but still lent to a modern vibe. They had indoor and outdoor seating. Very clean restaurant and bathrooms. We might not be in the area again, but if we are we will definitely stop in here! read more

Today was my first day ever trying Old Glory. I am kicking myself I never tried it sooner. It was so hard to pick an entree because everything looked original and delicious! Very glad I chose the short rib Mac and cheese. The meat was tender and delicious. The portion was huge so I had a ton leftover. They definitely don't skimp. Our waitress, Sheridan, was super attentive, friendly and delivered everything out quickly. She also shared some great reheating instructions for our leftovers. Had the cheeseburger egg rolls and they were awesome. The margherita pizza was so delicious and then desert time we shared the fried Twinkie sundae. Omg can we say heavenly?? Haven't written a piece in a long while. Since Covid, haven't really dared to venture to restaurants till now. Went on a Friday afternoon for lunch. It was empty when we walked in at 11:30am but soon was packed by noon. Mask appeared to be optional for customers. None of the staff appeared to be wearing masks. Clean, well maintained restaurant with a feel as if you're in a galley of a ship. It was well lit so we could see our food. I especially liked the clean the toilet which had a decorative beer keg mounted on the wall as the urinal. There was also a baby table in the men's room which I needed to use. Since my son just reached 3 years old on Tuesday. This table was a life-saver. Ordered an Arugula salad with a side of Salmon. This was $26. Wife's comment was that the salad had too much vinegar. I tasted it and it did taste slightly overly vinegary. The salmon came out superb. Fried to a crisp and moist on the inside. It was well seasoned and not over-whelming. The Cajun catfish came out beautifully displayed. The mango salsa gives it a colorful feel and an inviting presentation. It says "Eat me!" However it was unfortunately overly salty. $20. I commented this to the waitress whom just politely apologize but did nothing more. The side order of sweet potato fries came to be the best dish we all enjoyed. Not too sweet and in the shape of a waffle chip. This had a good crisp and the outside and a soft moist on the inside. Mouth watering. Soda was $4. Pepsi is good everywhere. :) Water was free. I haven't been to a restaurant in a while but apparently they charge to use your credit card now. It now costs you 3% to use your card. The cost for 2 people and a kid was: Subtotal about = $57, Tax = $3.81 Credit card fee = $1.68 A tip =$9. Which totaled to = $70. Hope you enjoy this read and find this informative. I've heard a lot about his place so I decided to come during Yelp restaurant week. The building is an old church converted into a restaurant. The owners did a really good job flipping the building, it is so cool inside. (Male urinals are cut out kegs). I definitely have to go back during warmer weather to sit out on their deck. I sat upstairs and was waited on by Jennifer who was friendly and really helpful. My friend and I ordered Vodka Pizza, and Spicy Joe Pizza. Pizzas came out in 10 minutes and were delicious! Definitely going back! They also have complimentary garlic bread with olive oil/ rosemary dipping sauce. I'd go back just for that bread. read more

Listen up my Gluten free friends Old Glory has a GF menu. Chris the owner listened to his customers and offers some great food for those GF people and for those who want extra Gluten in their diet too. Ok this is what my family says I'll take her gluten. How about that a place that you can get a GF pizza and say wow that was delicious!! Or if you aren't gluten free say that is delicious. One of my biggest issues is always to find a place with good GF food that my family who isn't GF loves. Great atmosphere and fun place to go in a group or as a couple. Very accommodating staff, fantastic servers and bartenders. Love the upstairs as there is picnic tables for fun seating. Ate here and had so much fun with the people we sat with upstairs. Great pizza oven for good pizza. However, I wouldn't go here for anything else. There are a lot of other good restaurants for anything outside of pizza and a beer. They have a lot of beers on tap, good bartenders, nice atmosphere and location, lots of parking, good service, overall clean. Came on a "bad night" 2 parties were booked and we were told our party of 2 would have a waiting time of 20 to 30 mins. That being said the food was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! The roasted tomato bisque was beyond excellent. The bread was piping hot!!! Had the best meatloaf ever, mash potatoes beyond excellent. My gf had some of the best crab cakes ever. Went for lunch today. Was the worst experience. They served soup without spoons. Waitress never even came with the spoons. The kid's meal had a spoon so we used them. This place used to be an old church and it looks stunning from the outside as well as the inside. The old Apse space is now where the brick oven is and there a huge American flag painted across the entire ceiling. There is two floors inside, seating outdoors, and a pickup window on the side. You can enter on the side or from the sidewalk. But if you enter from the side, you have to maneuver all the way through the restaurant to the front where the host is. The seating is communal-style. So if you aren't into that, this place isn't for you. But try it out. It's not as bad, or weird, as you would think. Heck you might even make new friends or just have a good time with your neighboring person's. There is a full bar. It has about 10 chairs so if you're coming here for just a pint or a quick meal, don't do it during popular times because you won't get a seat. They have a decent selection of craft brews as well as the regulars. Their mixed drinks are not the best though. They taste as if their is no alcohol in them (My friends that I've taken here all said the same thing). The food that I've had has always been good. The pizza is crispy and a decent size for one (if you're hungry) or if you feel inclined to share, it's good for two. All the appetizers are great. The crab dip comes in a bread bowl and my only gripe with it is that it doesn't come with enough dip for the price. But it is very good. The wings are amazing. They're a decently big size and they are backed in the pizza oven. This makes them nice and crispy. All of their wing sauces are amazing so try them all. I suggest the house made BBQ sauce though. Their pasta dishes need more sauce so ask for extra. Ask for extra bread when you order the beer cheese soup too. And definitely order that because it's the best in the area. I could talk more about the food, but I won't. Try it all! Service-wise here is alright. Sometimes you'll get the perfect service with the employee coming by the table to check if you need another beverage, how the food is, or just to bullshit with you. Other times (it's happened a few) they take your order and you don't see them again until they bring the check. You have to flag them down to get anything. Definitely try this place out. The food drinks and servers were excellent but not run well. We were 4 Ripken. Called in advance and were told it's empty and they would not ke reservations or put us n wait list. Arrived to find out others reserved and called ahead and were put n wit list. Hostess blamed it on other staff. Ther was no air conditioning and it is the hight of heatwave. They should have told us. We were drenched. Again. Service and food excellent. Restaurant needs manager to oversee. They should have offered some compensation for the 90 degrees and warm wine (frig not working) read more

The happy hour specials are great! We tried the wings and they are delicious. They wood fire them so they are crispy crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. This place was great. Especially during Covid. You actually feel safe going out again after eating there and seeing how serious they take matters. Always a great meal at old glory! Been coming here for a few years and the food is always top notch. If you come on a weekend, you should make a reservation but they only do it for tables 5 or more. We came in about 10 minutes earlier than our reservation and we had requested a table upstairs and our request was granted. We told the manager and server it was my dads birthday and if they could sing happy birthday and they said they would tell our server. Love the red sangria, make sure to order one if you go! We ordered the pretzel which was enormous, the bacon and beer cheese was very yummy! The loaded meatballs which were good but a little drier than I like and the fried mozzarella which comes with four pieces. We got the tavern wings were was a huge portion, the chicken bacon ranch pizza which is big enough to share and always excellent! My sister got the ribs with the salad and it was HUGE! My only issue was I also told the waiter it was my dads birthday and when he went to order dessert they didn't do a candle or sing, so that bothered me. My mom spoke to him and he took it off the bill so that helped but I still felt bad for my dad. Reserved for a big group of us for my wife's 60th. We had a bunch of appetizers, lots of drinks, and entrees. Everyone was very happy with the food, the drinks were spot on, and best of all our server was fantastic. New fav happy hour spot! Really cool ambience, unique and tasty food options, and good HH specials. Parking can be a little difficult if you're going right at 5ish, but the lot usually has a decent amount of activity so if you circle a couple times you should be good. My favorite here is the spinach & artichoke pizza, but I've also had the wings, calamari and Old Glory Pizza - all were very good. The salad (I think the one with goat cheese) is also awesome. I was really looking forward to trying this place. The place looks great! Loved the mosaic work on the inside and the giant flag mural on the ceiling. This used to an old church and the layout and decor is pretty cool. I ordered the Cobb Salad with grilled chicken while my partner had the cauliflower pizza & fire roasted clams. The pizza came out first. It was so good I wasn't convinced it was was a cauliflower crusted pie. Then the clams arrived. Again tasty. Unfortunately my salad never came. After waiting about 40 minutes from the time the clams arrives I cancelled my order. We asked the food runner and if he could look I to it since our waitress was no where to be found. He said "the kitchen was backed up". And left. Ok I get it, COVID hit every business hard and most places are short staffed. What I can't understand is why we're people getting burgers and salads who walked in 20-30 after I did? It's a salad, take hand full of lettuce and some veggies, throw it in a bowl and you're done. Really happy we tried this place thanks to their pretty good yelp reviews!... We were seated on the lower level which was ok but seated right next to a large party and some kids.. not the best.. thankfully our server Jessica was really nice and attentive and got us taken care of efficiently.. the drink selections lend itself more towards beers I think .. lots of different drafts and craft beers.. my mom wanted a patron margarita.. which they don't have at all.. the food was really amazing though.. most memorable items we had were the huge pretzel and cheese dip .. spinach artichoke dip ... so amazing.. salads large and super fresh .. sounds obvious but some places just doesn't happen.. I got a Cobb salad.. the shrimp buffalo is awesome and also burrata salad.. it's also convenient that the municipal parking is right behind the restaurant and has 3 hr parking. I've been to this establishment a few times and tonight was my first time in a long time since COVID hit. The female bartender with the black hair was having a loud conversation with a couple at the bar and being very disrespectful and racist towards me and making other patrons turn around to look at me while I was having dinner with my fiancé. I'm disgusted and won't be back. My fiancé had a conversation with the manager whom I feel sorry for because he wasn't around when she started spewing her hateful words. I refuse to stoop to her level tonight because she's not worth a minute of my time. We are not on the same level! The food was great though was considering celebrating my birthday here but after tonight absolutely not. read more
