We booked a rehearsal dinner and during the pre-conversation, the date was written incorrectly on the calendar. We arrived, decorations in hand to find our reservation missing. Luckily the room was available. The team, including Maverick, made the night a special night for all 54 people in attendance including the bride and groom. The food was good. Went here for a happy hour a few Fridays ago and was super happy with everything. My drink was super sweet the way I like it and my husband I split happy hour plates ! Perfect patio dining , the wind did kick up from time to time but at the fault of Mother Nature. The staff was freaking rockstars. Horrible and rude management. We had a table of 7 on Feb 9 and at 6:25 female manager told our table we had 10 min to leave because the table was reserved. We had been there for about 2 hours, ordered food and drinks and not once were we told table was reserved. Was never told by the host, never told by our server. We were gonna stay and listen to the band, order more food and drinks, but we were told to leave. She could have apologized and offer to seat us in another part of the restaurant. Nothing, other than you have 10 min to leave. We left our name and number to be contacted by the owner and have yet to hear from him. Definitely DO NOT recommend this place. read more

Went here for lunch today (Friday) and had a couple beers and food. Good selection of beverages and liked the iced rail to keep your drinks cold! However, the food was extremely disappointing. Had 2 apps, the fried pickles and brisket stuffed jalapeños. The breading for the pickles needs to be changed and no recognizable brisket in the jalapeños. A burger and a chicken sandwich was just bland. The only highlight of the food was the fried okra. Please work on the food. Most likely will be back for some drinks. read more

We went to Old Texas Brewing for the first time this weekend. We were very impressed. The menu is quite expansive for both food and beverage . The food was excellent and the service was even better. The servers are very attentive and friendly. Before we left we found out they serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday so we returned for a Mothers Day Brunch. The brunch menu had a variety of choices. We were so very pleased with our visits, we will most definitely be back! read more

We had a party of 17 on a Sunday at 5 pm. The reservations were made so they would know that a large party was going to be in the restaurant. They had one waiter for the entire group and he was not a hustler. In fact he was slow and did not seem interested in pleasing customers. He may have been overwhelmed but certainly did not come across that way. He first took drink and appetizer orders which took a very long time. Then we waited for the drinks. When they were served most of the ice in them was melted. When the appetizers came out we didn't have silverware so he had to go get the silverware so we could eat the appetizers. No one seemed to be checking on him. There was no manager that we ever saw. He finally began taking our food orders which took him a great deal of time. Then we waited and waited. When the food finally began to come out, some of it was hot and some was not. My soup was lukewarm and had a film on the top like it had been sitting out for a while. It was served with no spoon. We finally asked the hostess for some soup spoons because the waiter was still serving entrees. Several people who were served first had finished their meal before some people had been served. After most had finished, we asked for the checks. The waiter had not even begun to get the checks ready. We waited again for the checks. We had told him at the beginning that we would need separate checks, so he could have at least started the checks. When we finally got the checks we were all ready with cards or cash. He took them and we waited an inordinately long time for him to process the checks only to find out that he had included a 22% gratuity to each check plus a service charge for using a credit card. I was very disappointed in the food and the service. I have been to the Burleson location and was so pleased with the service, the speed and the servers as well as the hot food. I was in Burleson with a party of 10 with split checks and there had been no problems. I feel like many of the problems on Camp Bowie could have been solved with an experienced waiter who was interested in doing his job well and a manager who was present and willing to help. We should have had two waiters and support serving staff. read more

This is the first time we have been here since the change of ownership. The food was ok we had chips and queso as an appetizer kinda cheap on the amount of queso. The Tx whiskey hamburger with sweet potatoes fries was ok. The problem was the staff they were not very busy. We were set quickly but our first waitress Amber gets a negative 5. My husband asked for a beer3 times finally went to the bar and paid cash for a coors light bottle he was finished with that before she brought him a beer. Then the rest of our party came and it was a long time before she brought there orders. So my husband went back to the bar only this time the bartender would not serve us since we had a table. We asked for the manager and he never came in excusable. A young man named Xavier took over. He was great. Also they were supposed to have a band But since the maverick s where playing b-ball they cancelled them. Not sure if we will ever go back. read more

We have been dining at OTXBC for several weeks now, the food is usually pretty good. However, a few weeks after making it our Tuesday afternoon spot for lunch and happy hour draft beer, now they have no Bud Light. At first, they had no draft (which is on their happy hour special) but gave us bottles instead for the same price. On Sunday 5/28/23 they had no bottles of Bud Light either. We really enjoy the atmosphere and service and food for the most part. I know this is not a supply issue because other places do have draft and bottles. So, it seems that this location is boycotting the product. They are here to serve the public and should not be making choices for their paying customers. I hope they remedy this problem. If not, I will be a paying customer elsewhere. It is a shame that everything is so political these days. Just wanted a nice place to relax, eat, drink and enjoy. Hopefully this will be resolved.
