I've come to Old Town Massage 4-5x in the last few weeks, after playing rounds of Golf and attending both weekends of Coachella. Annie has been nothing short of fantastic and has gotten me "back in the game" time and time again. I had a massage there several weeks ago with Lydia. The massage itself was OK. Quite vigorous; not very relaxing. The part I was particularly disappointed about was the massage therapist questioning the amount of my tip (15%) as though I should have given her more than that. The other disappointing part was breaking out in a rash on my torso and arms the next day which I assume was from the type of oil (inexpensive?) that they used. This was my first time ever getting a massage so maybe i'm being a bit biased. i got the deep tissue massage and i truly enjoyed it. i don't know the masseuses name who worked on me because she never told me and i didn't ask, however she was extremely nice and made sure that i was comfortable at all times. she did an excellent job and really got all of my knots out especially a painful and deep knot i've had for years and she got it out! she was gentle was i asked her to be and the fact that she straddled and walked on me didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all. she was very professional! i left old town massage feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. i loved every second of my 30 minute massage and i'll definitely be back! read more

Went for a couples massage and got deep tissue.. this was unlike any massage I have ever gotten. We had an appointment at 6:30pm. Took us a minute to find in Old Town, I just knew it was upstairs somewhere. The signage was very minimal and we weren't sure if we were in the right spot. We open the door and all of the lights were off!! We walked back out to make sure we were in the right spot and we were. I was starting to get irritated since I had made an appointment and it was even confirmed on the same day. We go back in and holler for somebody and two ladies come out from the dark shadows.. they were just chilling with the lights off? I don't know.. anyways the massage itself was freakin weird. My lady was jumping over me, hopping from side to side of the table (which I've never had someone do during a massage, is this normal?). And I know this was deep tissue but she was going hard. At one point she was shaking the sh*t out of me on the table so much I wondered if this was some type of joke or something lol. When she started to "massage" my head, she was rubbing my scalp soo hard with her fingers that I had to tell her it hurt. My whole scalp was sore af for two days after! When we paid, we left 20% tip and the ladies were asking if that tip was just for one of them or if they had to share. I thought it was a nice tip but oh well. It wasn't exactly horrible/the worst, which is why I gave two stars.. but I probably won't be trying this place again. read more

We were already giving a good tip but the fact they told us that it was required was very unprofessional. The therapist also were talking while giving the massages to the 3 of us. My wife and I went today and we're shorted 10 minutes and badgered into giving a $20.00 tip, not to mention they increased their price $10.00 which we understand. Zigged when I should have zagged and found myself in a lot of pain from a previous injury. Yelped me a place still open and that had ashiatsu bars...and a yelp special! For 90 minutes Bella essentially probed, stretched, prodded and stomped me into a quivering mass... she found knots I didn't know I had muscle...Im not sure if I passed out in pain or was so zen that I fell asleep...either way I woke up gelatinous and essentially pain free, relaxed yet energized! For the last few years I would get gift certificates for special occasions and normally get 3 or 4 at a time 90 minute massages for my husband . When I bought the last 3 apparently they were in the process of selling-- not disclosed - as I paid of course. So my husband went to use his certificate they attempted to not honor it. After much dispute they took it but made him pay additional money. So now there is 1 last one to be used and he doesn't want to use it because they made him so upset the last time. Lost the money paid, while it is illegal not to honor gift cards and gift certificates these people think can. I will never use this place again. All the people I referred they have had similar issues. I used to speak well of this place as it was the truth. I will no longer speak well but tell the new story as it's is the truth. She would check on me each time I held my breath or gasped, to make sure the pressure was okay. She does crawl up on the table, but it's because she is a tiny thing and wanted to get good leverage. If you are really modest, you may struggle with the light sheet draping, but Annie was entirely professional. I feel great afterwards! I would definitely go back. Went here, very curious at first. Kind of hidden. The guys name is Candy, go figure. Girls don't speak much English. Chinese music in the background, feels like Shanghai during Christmas. Girls are sometimes giggling in the background,while massaging. Rooms are clean and very specious. They also wash you down with hot towels that burn the girls hand on the way to your back. I can't say enough good things about Massage. The people and techniques are wonderful. I've never been to a massage therapist that uses these techniques. The prices are incredibly affordable (especially in the valley) and worth every penny (don't forget to tip!) The therapist, Anei, does not speak a lot of English but Candy, the man that greets you, does and has been in the states for 30 years. Take the time to get to know them and they will become your friends. The energy is refreshing and I have become a lifetime member. Ha! To the negative comments, I believe you're referring to Old Towne Quality Massage that was on a different street (Villa) in old town. I was not a fan of their setup and constant interruptions. I am in massage heaven, I have just been touched by the hands of an angel. For over a week my whole right arm has been numb due to my ulnar nerve being pinched, it finally has some feeling back! The BEST massage I have ever had. Friendly, fast check in with no wait. COVID precautions followed with temperature check and hand wipe before my session. Now to the massage: a previous post stated masseuse was "tiny but mighty" and I thought of that throughout my session which proved 100% true. Do not schedule any less time than 90 minutes; otherwise, you will be left wanting more. I also opted for the heated stones and was literally in heaven. There is so much more I could add but please know there is absolutely nothing negative about this shop. I will be driving from Riverside from now on for a massage.
