One star for the waitress J___h that stole 10.00 from our gift card and ended up getting a $20.00 tip by doing so. She told us she Couldn't swipe the gift card for more one of $40. She said u want me to take the gift card. I was like, No. It was a new gift card, so I was puzzled. I wanted to call about the gift card immediately, but my husband told me to wait till we get home. So when I called the balance on the gift card was two dollars. The gift card was activated for $50. At that point I realize she lied to us and she had skimmed from us. You can check the last five transactions on your gift card. The next morning I checked for the transactions of course. At that point the gift card balance was zero and $50 have been swiped at the Olde Towne Inn. I tried calling to speak to the manager a couple times after explaining the situation, but I think the word got and whoever answered the phone told me the manager wasn't there again when I called back. I could've gone back to the restaurant but there's really no way for me to prove that she took the money seeing as though we gave her an additional $12 in cash to cover her tip. We were going to give her more than 20% tip. I mean we just ordered a meal and had sodas we didn't order any other drinks, so wasn't like she is coming back-and-forth to a table to serve us. She is ripping customers off! I'm sure we haven't been the only ones and in addition if she's ripping off the customers she's probably ripping off the owner! The food was ok. Horrible. Waitress did want she could but she was clearly needed help. We waited a good few minutes to be seated while someone washed tables 2 feet from us. We ordered food it took 40-50 mins to get the food. When we did order, we were told at 4pm on a Saturday they ran out of vegetables? Huh?!? After waiting the 40-45 mins...they informed us that the one thing we did order, they didn't have. Again Huh? I ordered the stuffed salmon...it was bland, no seasonings. Quiet and relaxed Love the atmosphere, came here with my boyfriend and his parents during the holidays. The food was great, and was out FAST. Staff was friendly, and the big tvs were all on sports. We had 12:30 reservations for Sunday brunch. We ending up having to wait a bit but boy was it worth the wait! The eggs were cooked to perfection, the ribeye steak was amazing and so were the potatoes and toast! Waffles cooked just right and our server, Diane, was awesome. Go for brunch!!! My husband and I love this restaurant. Today was special because Chef Donnell Long blessed us on the grill. He cooks on the grill Friday, Saturday and I believe on Sundays. I think this is something new they started and I am so happy they did. My husband ordered the ribs and they melted in your mouth like butter. I haven't had ribs that good in years. Went to OTI last night. Worst service ever! 1. Waitress REEKED of alcohol. She was lit. 2. She took the order of our table (4 people) with no pen/pad. As a result the bartender came over 10 minutes later and asked us to repeat it. 3. There was 1 waitress, one bartender, one cook. 4. There were a lot of occupied tables waiting for their food. Smh. 5. We ordered at 7:40. We received our orders sporadically starting at 8:45. The orders were wrong. One of the individuals in our group had to have her ribs made again. There was no apology. 6. There was no ketchup to be found for fries. 7. The bathroom was a disaster- worse than a gas station. I would not recommend dining here. read more

It was a snowy day that day and the staff even took time to help clear a path so no one had issues entering the establishment as we were entering. My wife and I used to frequent OTI several times a month when we first moved to the area. This was the place we would always bring our friends and family when they visited. The menu options were great, and to be frank, there really isn't much else in Upper Marlboro. However, in addition to the gripes listed by other Yelpers (with whom I agree: long waits, some servers oblivious to customers and more focused on watching the game on TV, etc.) what caused me to only give them only 2 stars was when three of us at the table ordered the same exact dish cooked the same exact way and each of us got something different. I really would have liked to continue eating at OTI, but the combination of negatives eventually outweighed the positives. So, despite the fact that we live nearby and I pass by the restaurant every day, I'm done with OTI. read more

I can't understand how they are still in business. This is in my neighborhood and I have tried so hard to support this business but I can no longer. They consistently run out of basic items on a daily basis, like lettuce for salad, tomatoes for hamburgers, fish for main dishes, and for some reason the banana pudding which I have never had because it's never available. Today was no different, it wasn't exactly busy when I was seated and instead of being told what specials they may have had I got a run down of everything they didn't. Great food, crappy service. I was in Upper Marlboro and everyone was recommending this place. For a lunch place the service was really slow, especially considering the place is right next to the court house and that is majority of their lunch time business. I had to ask for silverware several times to the point where I had to walk up to the bar and get it. The water for my tea was warm and I had to ask several times for more water. The food was amazing. We had the cornbread, which was sweet and delicious. The cream of crab soup was yummy but it was warm. I decided to try the BBQ salmon and it was super tasty. read more

Tucked away right by court house, Old Towne Inn had a delicious brunch waiting for us after some early morning court business. As soon as I saw chicken n waffles on the menu I was sold. My boyfriend was sold at catfish n waffles! Both were delicious. The batter on the chicken was amazing, came out piping hot and tasted very homemade. The waffle was sweet, crisp and fluffy and hit all the right spots as well! And the potatoes were perfect with a side of sour cream. I was skeptical about the cat fish but it was great, corn meal crust is the way to go. Ambiance is cute, locals and lawyers chatting and having a good time and lots of coffee. This was the most frustrating time that I can say that I have had at a restaurant. I am ready Insatiableone B. and I can say I can remember when this place was like that. When it first opened it was an awesome place to go. Especially for the locals. However, on Friday night I go in to grab dinner and it takes an hour before we are told that it hadn't been in to be cooked. It so needs be cleaned and rehabbed. Not even the t.v.'s were working. I've been here several times and have never been disappointed until I got breakfast yesterday... So I ordered the Hawaiian Rib Eye and eggs (for me), shrimp and grits and a waffle. All of that came to about $60 in total. I'll start with my steak and eggs breakfast: the steak had good flavor but it was TOUGH AND CHEWY. I definitely felt like I was eating a very cheap ribeye but definitely didn't pay a cheap price for it. I think that meal was at least $30. Had I paid less I wouldn't even care but I paid for a good steak and didn't get one at all. The shrimp and grits: I tasted the grits and they were cool. The shrimp had BBQ sauce on them. I'm not used to that but hey. The waffle: it was great. Soft, fluffy and tasty. So I'm all, I like this place. The customer service is always great and the food is usually never a disappointment but I'll say I'm never getting the ribeye again. It's not worth it. I visited this establishment for the first and LAST time. There was a mistake made on my bill by the waitress as I told her I had a Groupon upon her seating my husband and I. She brought back the bill and never mentioned the coupon until after she fully charged us for the meal. I went to the manger Donnell Long, who was working and he gave me the run around until finally he agreed to add the coupon. After he told the female waitress to give me the refund, obviously she did not know how to do so, Donnell came and did the transaction while I stood there and watched. He told me that to give it a couple of days to see the refund...guess what it has been three weeks and I never saw the refund. It was a terrible first and last time experience. I can assure you that I will never eat there again, and will never refer that place for anything other than a very unsatisfied customer who will never support that establishment again. From Start to finish everything was really good. I went back twice and brought more friends. I plan to go again. I have no issues with service. My servers both times were attentive knowledgeable and friendly. They got us everything we needed. The drinks were good too. Unfortunately our last 3 visits, including today, left much to be desired. This place only seems to operate at top quality when the owner is present. Father's day they ran out of food, basically. Then a little over a week later everything was as expected (carry out order). I had my head on a swivel for the owner today but he wasn't around. I got nervous. The booths and menus need to be cleaned and today the food was mediocre at best. The green beans were delicious! Potato skins and ribs were ok but plating looked rush. Had to pick burnt pieces of who knows what off the potato skins plate. I thought the saving grace would have been my cookie but even that came out burnt. I tell you, this is a place that I always want to love but it is so inconsistent. On their good days the food is great but on their bad days the food and service are unforgettable. Once seated I stated that I had a Groupon for two seafood platters free in which I was told I would get $30 off the final bill....another issue I am taking up with Groupon to let them know this patron didn't honor what the Groupon says. I read the small print and even still it says free yet the price of the Groupon plus my bill ended up being no deal at all. Once seated our waiter took our drink orders and I was confident that we had a top notch waiter. So much for that once we ordered we never saw our waiter again until I asked the hostess to get her for us as we were ready for the bill. That is right our waiter didn't bring out our food or check on us throughout our meal. I ordered the crab cakes which 15 minutes later I was told they were all out. I then ordered the stuffed salmon and requested it blackened. Per the menu it was stuffed with cheese, shrimp and lump crab meat. I received some finely crumbled crab meat but no blackened, no shrimp and no cheese. For our appetizer we ordered the lemon butter shrimp which are $14 and supposed to come with sea salt, lemon and butter. The shrimp had no taste and none of the listed ingredients. The Largo location has failed me multiple times and I decided the location was to blame but after my experience this weekend at the Upper Marlboro location it must be management. read more

I went to Old Town Inn, for the first time, on Sunday October 25, 2015 to celebrate my birthday. I made a reservation two weeks in advance for 12:30. When I arrived, I was asked how many was in my party and I told her that I had a reservation for 12:30. She asked what name was it under and I told her. She came back and asked me when did I make the reservation because she didn't see one. I told her two weeks ago and I spoke with someone on 10/18 to confirm. I spent about thirty minutes waiting for someone to find my reservation. Once the manager came she told me that they had my reservation under a different name. I wasn't seated until 1:15. My guest and I had to wait an additional 45 minutes because they couldn't find the reservation and because there wasn't any tables available. At no time did anyone apologize for the mix up. We were seated and a waitress took our drink order. I had a birthday cake and asked if someone would take the birthday cake. The waitress said we don't just take your cake ma'am you have to request it. I said that is what I just did. I asked the waitress for a lighter so we could light the cake to sing happy birthday and she said I have never seen anyone light a cake in here. I told her it would be a first today! I got the manager involved and she said sure you can light your cake. I couldn't believe the response. Overall I had a good time because of the company I was in. The food was good but the waitress was terrible and never once apologized for the mix up or the poor customer service. I will never go to this place again! read more

Options in this small town are limited so we gave this a try. The menu skews heavily towards seafood with a southern flair. The service was fair. The beer and wine selection was fairly limited for a restaurant that aspires to be something beyond ordinary (it isn't). The BBQ chicken was veery good. The fries that came with it resembled low grade frozen fries available at a super market. The fried shrimp plate was unremarkable especially Aaron the price.
