The homemade corned beef sandwich was tasty. My wife ordered the Italian chicken cutlet sandwich and enjoyed it as well. Recently returned to this old favorite from over 30 years ago for a walk down memory lane. We remember when Olgas was on the rt 73 circle. I ate there three times this week, it was so good and reliable. I brought my old friend, in a wheelchair, which the staff was so patient and accommodating to us. There's a spacious new parking lot and a generous handicap ramp and no lack of helpful hands at the door. The manager interacted with me twice In my three visits. His recommendation of the pan seared scrod was the best. I like the new location better. Updated, modernized, spacious and accommodating seating, knowledgeable and service minded wait staff and gifted cooks in the kitchen, not to mention the evening manager who took my Sunday late-night order 5 min before closing. My boyfriend and I have been meaning to try Olga's for awhile now and finally decided to give it a try for breakfast. They have a great menu with really awesome specials! It was hard to decide what I wanted! I ended up with the South Philly sandwich which was delicious!! I got a side of pork roll and put it on the sandwich with some ketchup, YUM! My boyfriend always gets chipped beef when we go to a diner so of course he had to! He finished the entire plate! Only complaint is the wait was some time- but I didn't realize how busy it was! I was asked to pick a place for lunch by a good friend and started looking for places near him that had vegan options. I was very surprised to discover that Olga's Diner has a vegan menu! We had an amazing lunch and my friend, who is not vegan, ate from the vegan menu as well. He was amazed at how delicious his seitan meal was and now claims to be 75% vegan!! If you haven't tried a plant-based item before, I'd encourage you to give this delicious menu a try! Our sever was friendly, helpful and extremely attentive! The service is really nice but they are not trained very well. My Grandmother wanted to get more coffee and gave the sign, putting her coffee on the side of the table. Three waiters passed by and didn't give her any coffee. One even saw us and just went up to the counter to talk to her friend. I've been to this spot a few times and it's always pretty good. For breakfast I usually get the basic two eggs with bacon (or turkey bacon) depending on what I feel like that day. Their home fries are my favorite thing ever, always crispy!!! I did venture out and got one of their specials (which I took a pic of below) it was alright, I def had a diner's remorse (because I usually get the same thing). I came in here tonight with my sister and her boyfriend! The food was great, and I loved the ambience. I'm not from the area, so I wasn't really familiar with diners. I am so glad I went here! I was a little worried about the quality of food because some people have described them as greasy food places, but this was really nice. I also heard that diners usually have really abrasive servers. I was kind of looking forward to it, but our server was actually really nice. Great service and staff. The waitress was very attentive and sweet, also the cashier was nice when my child gave the credit card to pay. Very busy diner! My only issue is how salty the eggs or omelettes can be. I'm also not sure if the eggs are powdered or real with scrambled eggs (my kid dropped some on my clog shoes and it stained yellow, like turmeric). My bowl of matzah bowl soup was very very good. In my opinion, their soup was better than 4th street deli in Philly. The service was pretty good. The server could have visited the table a bit more, wasn't a big deal. As you can see, the sandwich looked like something I could have made from home. The bread tasted like it just came out of a bag. There was nothing at all special about my sandwich. My GF's salad wasn't any better. She said the lettuce wasn't fresh, the chicken wasn't warm and tasted rubbery. Let me just say THANK YOU to all the hard-working servers and staff who have to work under such difficult conditions - it's roasting hot, you have to wear masks, people are cranky, I get it. Service for now is in the back parking lot under a giant tent or separate tables with a few umbrellas to shield you from the blazing sun. First, please be patient. There were no condiments on the table, so we had to ask for things separately as we discovered we needed salt, pepper, hot sauce, etc. The servers have to run up a flight of stairs to pick up food, so take a chill pill and enjoy a nice conversation with your dining partners. Service won't be lightning fast and you may have to flag someone down for drink refills. The food - I ordered a South Philly omelet, which came with sweet Italian sausage, onions and peppers and cheese. It was OK, a bit bland. Extremely disappointed in the management at this establishment. We ordered a takeout entree tonight, which came with your choice of soup or salad. We very clearly said we wanted a salad with raspberry vinaigrette. We tipped when we picked up the order as we always do. We got home to find no salad in the takeout bag, rather a chicken noodle soup that we did NOT want or ask for. We called the restaurant to explain what happened and hoped to simply be refunded for the price of the salad (not the whole meal). Manager said no. He offered a "few dollar" credit we can use towards a side salad in the future. We told him we did not want a credit, as it is not right to pay for something we didn't receive. I won't be coming back or using this "few dollar" credit. I hope leaving a bad impression on a new customer and prompting them to write this review was worth it. read more

This place is the worst. They make you stand in a foyer with a group of other people not sure who put in their seating request first. Then once you do tell the hostess you'll wait another 15-20 min before you're seated. Food is nothing special, it's mediocre diner food. Service sucks. The worst is ordering to take out. They make you wait for an ungodly amount of time before they realize your food is not only ready, but now cold. Same with Door dash, they simply aren't equipped to handle door dash or any other delivery services like that. First time back at Olga's is strange that isn't down the road from the original site. Went on a Saturday night for a quick bite to eat and the place was packed. Luckily our wait wasn't long. The waitress was friendly, polite and efficient. The seafood bisque was very good according to my hubby. The French onion soup was hot not too salty but the homemade croutons were hard chucks of bread The prime ribs sandwich was huge even in a good night I wouldn't be able to eat the whole thing. We split the sandwich and even couldn't finish my half. The fries were okay but next time I would ask for them well done. Overall it was a positive expense. We never made it to the original Olga's and knew this wasn't the same people but were still very eager to try out a new diner. We made it a week into the grand opening and the results were just a meh. The place itself looks fantastic and is very spacious. The tuscan omelette started out good but damn this thing was cheeeeesy. The sausage actually tasted quite good but after the first couple of bites all I could taste was the cheese and nothing else. The waitress was very nice (even though she forgot my toast dammit!) but def seemed overwhelmed and new to this. This isn't a place we are eager to go back to but not a place we would avoid either. A year ago, a new family decided to recreate Olga's Diner right up the road on route 73. It wasn't the original family or original building, but the name Olgas.  When it finally opened in November of 2019, I was excited to go! I met up around lunchtime on a weekday. It was packed! You would think we were going on a busy Sunday morning. Olga's Diner Atmosphere: Olga's Diner stands out on route 73. It's hard to miss the big, shiny, modern building. The inside of Olga's Diner is large. Each booth and table is spread out, so you don't feel like you're sitting on top of anyone. Coffee: The coffee at Olga's Diner is good. Olga's Diner uses the local company, Lacas. I could have used a few more refills. Olga's Diner Food: Olga's Diner menu has everything you want and need in a diner.  There are plenty of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. If you are looking for healthy options, Olga's Diner has that too. Plus an entire page menu dedicated to vegan options. Yes, vegan!  I thought about getting a vegan option just because Olga's Diner had it but ultimately decided for the beet salad with rotisserie chicken. If beets are on any restaurant menu, I usually order them. The beets tasted good and the greens were fresh. There was plenty of chicken too. I couldn't taste a difference in the rotisserie-style chicken versus grilled. Olga's Diner Dessert: Cyd mentioned the original Olga's Diner was known for their Boston Cream Pie, so we both decided to order that. The Boston Cream Pie was good, but the cake portion of it was a little dry. Olga's Diner Service: The waitress said it was her first day, but you would not have guessed. She was friendly and seemed like she was working there for a long time. The food came out quickly. We were sat and eating our food within 15 minutes of arriving. Cost: $$ For my coffee, salad, and pie, it was $25. The salad alone was nearly $19, which I found a bit pricey for the size. Overall Thoughts/Would I Come Back? I liked Olga's Diner, and I'll be back. The food was excellent, and Olga's Diner has a lot of menu options I want to try. read more
